Very good sushi. Attentive and friendly service. Top location

The restaurant offers more appearance than reality. In every aspect. If you want good sushi, you're in the wrong place here. Price/performance doesn't fit at all. I can't rate the cocktails. It is quite possible that it is better in this regard.

Sushi that is truly outstanding. But what was most convincing was the service from Phillip and Basti. He explained everything on the record and always kept an eye on whether we still had something to drink. Top class and gladly again!

Cocktails and food were super good. The waiter was extremely attentive and committed. However, there is not enough staff to keep the store full and the waiting times from the kitchen are far too long.

A catastrophe. Staff was so unprofessional. The waitress (trainee) came around no less than four times To take our order. We got our water after 30 minutes - water! After the 4th time, the boss came personally to record. We've never experienced anything like this before. The quality of the food is ok but way too overpriced. Never again. Not recommended. You can definitely get better money and service elsewhere!

Service was impressive. Tapas were also excellent. The only let-down was that the sushi rice quality was unfortunately not satisfactory.

A good place to give tourists an urban impression of Heidelberg. The view is good, the food is good and the wine is very good. Unfortunately we arrived too late and the gentleman at the reception made us feel it. My companion wanted to leave again and I was able to hold her back. “He still had a table…” we were 15 minutes late… and he said the table would be ready in 30 seconds… that turned into 5 minutes. He flirted with a girl... I didn't think it was okay. The food is good. It's fun and something interesting (Peru/Japan). I was lucky, my companion wasn't that enthusiastic. The wine from ZETER is sensational, I already knew that.

Super nice Service, great view over Bergheim, very good advice, fantastic sushi, very creative DRINKS and overall a quiet and cozy atmosphere. It was definitely worth 160 euros for the three of us, but not for every day. It's definitely not the last time I've been to Schillings 🥰

The Schillers is really a beautiful location and the combination of bar & dine with a view is great. The positive: All the waitresses were really friendly and attentive without being intrusive. As non-sushi professionals with little previous experience, the service was excellent for us, from the aperitif to the choice of food. So far everything is good and well. The Tataki Gyu was particularly noteworthy as a starter. That was really good. I can always tell whether a dish or dinner was not just good but exceptional when it puts a smile on my face - and in this case my wife too. And at this point you can see that Schillers prioritizes profit maximization over top quality. If I pay 220 euros for sushi for two people, I expect extraordinary quality with a taste explosion of fine Japanese cuisine. Unfortunately this didn't happen. I also find that 0.1 over ten euros for a glass of white wine and almost 18 euros for 0.2 are really silly and completely excessive, location or not. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly at the top and my wife was freezing. The tables are also too narrow, which is not appropriate if you want to play with the "big guys" and I don't expect that in a restaurant in this category. The pricing is almost star level, but the ratio is not right. Our thanks go to the polite, young service. He made the evening for us.

Best service. Our waiter did the best to arrange a beautiful evening, he gave the best recommendations and took care for our wellbeing. At the same time you get in touch with your neighbors and all are so nice, because we all want to have a delicious fun evening.

Everything is great - only the prices are very, very high

We celebrated our wedding here on October 19th with 50 guests and can only warmly recommend the location. Delicious food, great cocktails and good service. All wishes regarding food and drinks could be realized. Thanks also to Sina for the great organization!

My girlfriend and I reserved a table for 6:15 p.m. When we sat at our table, no waitress paid us any attention. Other tables, however, were served from time to time, but after 40 minutes at the table no one was with us. During this time we put our cell phones and everything down and tried to make eye contact with one of the waitresses, but we didn't succeed. After another 5 minutes (45 minutes in total) we got up to eat somewhere else. Even when we got up and walked out, no one asked us if everything was okay. We were simply ignored. The glasses on the table were dirty and one glass had leftover food on it. I am very disappointed with the experience I had here and cannot recommend the restaurant to anyone, especially not for these prices.

Nice evening at Sushi and Paint. It was really fun. The drinks are definitely the absolute highlight and the service is right behind them. If we had had a brush, it would have been almost perfect, but beforehand it wasn't decided how many brushes everyone could take. So some had 8 and others none :D

The three of us took part in a sushi painting event. The event itself was beautiful. However, it was very annoying that I was unable to redeem a €40 voucher despite the total cost of around €280 and despite prior agreement.

Great atmosphere, great and if you put your mind to it, the service can be really funny. They are fun for everyone without losing their professional style.

We were there for the first time and had a very nice evening. The service was very good and the sushi was very tasty, but also quite expensive. The online reservation was ok, but when we wanted to reduce from 6 to 4 people in a timely manner, the system worked “failed” and the time changed for us. Telephone contact was very difficult and not very customer-friendly at first, but then it worked. We were compensated for this by a perfect, professional service and were able to stay significantly longer than our time slot.

Anyone familiar with sushi will be disappointed here. The rice is neither the right consistency nor temperature. Absolutely overpriced for the price...

The visit to the roof bar was the culmination of a city trip! The food was fantastic and the service was extremely friendly and competent. The roof bar should definitely be visited when staying in Heidelberg! Simply a highlight!

Atmosphere was not that bad. I would prefer if there was an open terrace area. Taste of sushi was good, however the prices were high.

This is the best sushi bar in Heidelberg. I recommend it 100%.

If you don't like sushi and small snacks, this is the wrong place for you. The service and employees are very good and courteous. Drinks 1a as well as the price. Because of the view (when the weather is nice) you are welcome to come, otherwise it will be unspectacular. The prices are partly justified, as no one forces you to go out for a drink here. It's okay to take a look but nothing more, in my personal opinion.

I recently went for a whiskey tasting at the Schilling Rooftop Bar in Heidelberg with friends and it was a fantastic experience! The bartender was extremely experienced and really impressed us with his vast knowledge and passion for whiskey. Not only did he have an impressive selection of whiskeys, but he was also able to provide interesting stories and background information about each one. The tasting was absolutely unbeatable compared to others I have visited in Germany and abroad. The atmosphere of the rooftop bar was also great - a perfect mix of stylish ambience and relaxed mood. An absolute must for all whiskey lovers and those who want to become one! We will definitely come back!

We took part in Sushi & Paint. Great idea, good sushi, delicious drinks, good DJ and magical ambience for painting. A large and colorful selection of acrylic paints, oil pastels, pens, brushes, etc. was provided. In addition to the cutlery and plates for the sushi, each table was equipped with a palette, a canvas and a cup of water. Each guest could transform the canvas into a small work of art as they wished. Really a great idea! Thanks to the event manager!

We celebrated our wedding in the old indoor swimming pool in Heidelberg with over 100 guests, everything was extremely well organized and well supplied with food and drinks by the catering from the Schilling Roofbar. The communication in preparation for the celebration was very professional. We felt very well looked after, the decoration of the location was very impressive and it was a great party, many thanks to those responsible, the technology and the competent service for our guests and the delicious cuisine.

There were two of us and we sat very close to the table next to us - we were already sitting on each other's laps. Both of our cocktails weren't a hit. One of them wasn't cold enough and was replaced. The other bourbon cheesecake tasted tasted like pure alcohol. The food was good and nicely presented, especially the tataki. Since the first two cocktails weren't great, we didn't order a second round. We expected more for over €15 per cocktail. The relationship between price and performance is not right. We also noticed that the windows were pretty dirty. You can also reserve a window seat for +€8.

Thank you for the lovely evening, the cocktail course was great fun! Despite the larger group at our team event, everyone had their own personal enjoyment. View was great too!

A very tasty, unusual sushi, but it no longer stands out as much as it did 2 years ago, the difference to convenience sushi is no longer that noticeable. Therefore, in my opinion, the price cannot be justified. Very pleasant and courteous service with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the tables are very narrow.

Super nicely furnished, very nice, well-trained staff. Incredibly delicious sushi. I was actually surprised by some great variations. Unusual cocktails. Unfortunately only 4 stars for the ambience, as it is very high but doesn't have an exceptional view. Maybe it's nicer in the dark. Reservations are necessary, you pay extra for a nice window seat, but you don't see much else.

If you want some delicious cocktails made by experienced bartenders in the heart of beer country, look no further than Schilling. The Jungle Bird, Yang, and Yin were absolutely the best. So smooth and easy to drink. Would love to come back again!

Great evening. Very tasty and exceptional sushi. Delicious cocktails. The care was excellent. Unfortunately, they tarnish. Heidelberg's architectural sins make the view almost perfect. Even if it's expensive, we'll be happy to come back.

It was our first time to eat sushi here (passionate sushi eaters) and we were more than thrilled. The Schilling offers high quality sushi and many special specials that you won't find anywhere else, far away from main stream sushi. Service staff super friendly and attentive. The view over Heidelberg was of course also very beautiful. We will come back in any case.

Place felt a bit too crowded (especially with only 1 waitress there) but the online support while making the reservations and the waitress in the evening were outstanding. Hats off to her (I didn't get her name) but she went out of her way to make sure the service was excellent despite how busy it was, after we had to wait initially, she turned the night around:)

We had a very delicate Mother's Day brunch over the rooftops of Heidelberg, in a stylish ambience and with courteous service. Whether it was an aperitif, the scrambled eggs with truffles, the platter with various bread toppings and spreads or the sweet sushi at the end... it was all so delicious and beautifully presented! Absolutely recommended!

Very disappointed experience. We saw the mothersday brunch add on Instagram and it looked fantastic with the view of Heidelberg and the description also made us expect something very special. Unfortunately, that was not the case in reality. 45€ per person (4 adults and one child) for two plates of cut meat,cheese,salmon and some Italien fingerfood. Three small baskets of bread and croissants and three small portions of Omeletts. The presentation was nice, however way too overpriced for the quantity of food. Service was okay, everything just took way too long and some of our ordered drinks also didn’t arrive (we had to remind after 15min) You also expect the waitress asking you, if you would like some coffee or cappuccino. Nothing! Overall, we were very disappointed and could have had a better brunch in our local bakery for the more than half of the price.

We celebrated our team event with 26 people in the Schilling Rooftop. We had almost the entire 8th floor to ourselves, the ambience and view were very special! The Sushi x Tapas menu was also incredibly tasty and the service was top! Paired with a cocktail course on the ground floor (DJNGL), it was the perfect evening :)

The cocktails were amazing. Although my Rose Mary Rosemary came out a little wilted and yellow. Papa's Salad Guy was nothing on the other hand. The potato salad is shallow and the beef is thickly sliced, stringy and tough. Not my taste. The Uramaki Salmon was quite good but not outstanding. The meat from Tataki was thinner and well seasoned, even raw and cold. When we came it was very cold and the music was very loud. I found it disturbing. According to the www, our time slot was supposed to be until 8:15 p.m., we were politely told to say goodbye around 8, even though the entire bar level was occupied by only one table. Paid €250 for 4 people, I have to be honest, it wasn't worth it to me.

Cocktail course booked as part of a JGA - uncomplicated and individual organization, great team and a great experience. We had a super fun afternoon.

Perfect for corporate events. We spent the whole day there and held a workshop, lunch and evening event. We were well looked after from start to finish. The view is pretty and waiters are OK, however food was really disappointing and waay overpriced, especially for the quality & ingredients served. For a starter, my husband and I ordered two different types of ceviche. The taste was too bland, it was like fish was cooked in water, lime was forgotten and for some reason there were also hard white beans, they really didn't make sense in the dish. For the main dish we ordered a sushi set. 80% of it was an average sushi not better then any home delivery sushi I've had. The other 20% was just weird and did not taste well. I left with a sad feeling of being robbed of good food and a lot of money... Would not recommend it, not even for the view.

If you love sushi you should definitely visit Schilling in Heidelberg. Absolutely delicious, whether sushi or cocktail, friendly staff, beautiful view. Worth a visit.

We were only there for a few cocktails. The ambience is quite nice, but the service could be a little better. Unfortunately there are no coasters and our table was pretty wet and sticky. We were also the only table that didn't get any nuts with our drink. That was a bit of a shame. Let's see if we come again and if it's worth the money.

The Schilling Roofbar is definitely worth a visit if you are in Heidelberg and like to eat sushi or would like to try special drinks. The ambience is super modern and offers an incredibly beautiful view, especially at night. The service is very attentive, courteous and helpful. If you can't make up your mind given the good selection, you'll definitely get great advice. The food not only looks great, it also tastes really good, the same goes for the drinks. Above all, your own creations should be tested. The prices are quite high but you should still treat yourself to a visit. We'll definitely be back, especially for the cocktail course 😉!

Ordered takeaway an avocado salmon set and salmon sashimi. I have to say I haven't had such bad sushi in a long time. Sushi flies apart, rice has no taste. My avocado maki was definitely not made fresh. The nori sheets were soggy and the rice on the outside was already dry. The store was recommended to me and I was disappointed. The prices here are a little higher, which I'm happy to pay for sushi, but unfortunately this was only worth 1/5 stars. It may be that it tastes better there because of the ambience, but unfortunately not otherwise.
