Hair in food :( Not just one, but a bundle!!! When asked, the hair was dismissed as black strands of eggs. Zero insight or apology. Sorry, this reaction doesn't work at all! Luckily it was the first plate to be delivered. We then left the restaurant. We hadn't gotten any drinks at this point.

I often come here for the lunch menu, a huge portion for 12.90, you can fill up for lunch and dinner (but I don’t recommend ramen, they are much tastier), but the waiters are very friendly and remember that I need a fork)) There is a favorite table by the window right on the main page the street where I always sit is completely empty during the day and you can sit anywhere, and the place itself is huge, so it never happens that there is nowhere to sit.

Ate here for the first time yesterday (in the evening, 2 starters, 2 main courses, 3 drinks for only 37 euros), and came back today for the main course and dessert 😁 Tasty, quick and cheap too! 🙏🏻

All you can eat in the heart of the historic old town. There is currently only one table outside and we used it to enjoy this special atmosphere. The atmosphere inside is nothing special. We have been visiting Imizu in Frankfurt for over three years, and when we heard there was a new opening in downtown Heidelberg, we had to try it out. The food quality was, as expected, good – typical of Imizu. The selection is similar and we were recommended to try the mango sauce, which is not available in Frankfurt - it was delicious. The equipment is older and smaller than in Frankfurt, and I also like the atmosphere there better, although the location in Heidelberg is perfect. But if you have nice weather, grab this table outside – we got really lucky! 🍣

The truth is, if you have known places with minimally decent Asian food, this one will surely disappoint you. The service was not very fast, but not excessive, but the food was nothing special, a feeling of doing it quickly and without much interest. Perhaps by not choosing the buffet option we were a little more demanding with what we expected, but if you eat that at a buffet, perhaps you accept the quality of the presentation and the products. Everything is correct, but it is better not to have high expectations.

Great sushi dinner with clearly good quality ingredients. Lovely service. The 23stk sushi boat and a big coke cost me about 25€. I feel it’s reasonable for the quality!

To start with: I can eat quite a lot and have a sensitive stomach when it comes to the freshness of the products. This means that even mediocre quality meat at an all-you-can-eat restaurant upsets my stomach. I gave the Imizu full throttle for 2 hours and I'm in great shape. - Everything is freshly prepared, tastes great and is tolerable. - In terms of taste, Imizu is definitely above a conventional all you can eat restaurant Recommendation: Iced peach tea, homemade

Delicious, fresh food at absolutely correct prices. All-you-can-eat would have been average for us. Not worth eating, we were so full. We would love to come back here.

Asian: YES; Japanese: NO Plus point when eating: lots of vegetables in the soup. Otherwise not Japanese. The staff also doesn't speak Japanese. Service: The staff on the day of the visit was quite slow. Waiting 25 minutes for your lunch during your 1 hour lunch break is unreasonable.

I can only recommend the Imizu. The food is very good, tastes fresh and arrives at the buffet at good intervals, so you'll want to eat more. I really enjoy going here with friends, as the restaurant is a good place to meet up and have a long chat over a meal. You can pay in cash or by card.

We got a table even though we accidentally reserved at Imizu Franfurt.

The Uber Eats driver took my sushi meal order from the counter and left without asking or knowing if the order was complete. Well, the seaweed salad, ginger, wasabi, soy sauce were missing. The problem was quickly resolved over the phone. Even though I had at least received the sushi set, the restaurant refunded me the full amount and apologized. The fault was clearly not yours. Thanks!

We had buffet for dinner. The food had good quality as a buffet, but they were very slow! The buffet allows 10 rounds of ordering per person within 2 hours, with 10 mins break. When we ordered the six round, there were still quite some dishes from the second rounds did not reach us. So in the end we didn’t have the chance to try the some food we want. And they also didn’t not give us discounts or vouchers. Considering these, the price of more than 30 Euro per person for buffet is not worthy.

Imizu offers an excellent all you can eat experience that is totally worth the price. Particularly noteworthy is the sushi, which is freshly prepared and impresses in terms of both quality and taste. Went there for lunch and chose the tablet buffet. Super fair price and very tasty food. We tried the Japanese cuisine once and had so much fun because everyone could try each other and then order what was good again for themselves. The staff was also great! We'll definitely be back.

The service was very slow, not reliable and cannot be recommended. The food wasn't anything special either. It's best to look around for other restaurants.

We happened to walk by here and saw their menu which we liked. Nice clean place with friendly staff. Very helpful and the food was really good. Here you can eat well and sit comfortably. The restaurant has two floors and is very large, we saw this because the toilet was upstairs. Very good choice to eat here.

Food: 4.5 stars, I found it very tasty, nothing amazing but definitely recommended. My girlfriend also thought it was good apart from the cucumber parlor, so half a star was deducted. Ambiance: 4 stars, very nice and beautiful shop, but wasps came the whole time because the doors were open and there was only one song playing the whole time. However, all in all great. Service: 7 stars preferably, super super nice, the nice waiter was amazing. He asked us a lot if everything was okay, beat the wasps away for us, was super friendly and at the end he even gave us a free sesame ice cream each, which was also very good. Recommended for this service alone, and of course also for the food :)

We actually had good experiences until we were there with a child for the first time yesterday. Obviously this can only be 1.50 tall, at 1.53 (although the small one is never that big) you can no longer pay the children's price for "all you can eat". We only accepted that and ordered from the menu for the little one when the Kellern came back, with the note that the little one (THOUGH we had already ordered from the Katte for the little one) should NOT be from the other “all you can eat” Eat your orders and definitely don't try them. It was clear to us that we would get up and go. He was unfriendly and unfortunately couldn't handle criticism. Also from an economic point of view, absolutely stupid. Anyone who lets customers go for over €100 for €5 when the little one might have tried something has probably taken too much out of their mouths. It's a shame, but we won't be eating here again.

The iPad order is awesome. The portions you get with the all you can eat are sample portions which were perfect for the experience. Reasonably priced but not great either. The building has no air conditioning so it can get quite warm and the staff were nice but sometimes they seemed uninterested.

The portions were large and everything was very tasty! The service was also very nice and quick. 👍

If you like sushi, this is the right place for you. Great all-u-can-eat system. You can choose 5 small dishes per round (10 minutes) and person. Very good for chatting together and sharing sushi and other delicacies.

Were here this Friday evening for all-you-can-eat. It was terribly warm in the restaurant and the tables were far too close together. The food is ordered via a tablet with outdated software and still shows the former name of the restaurant. The fried/fried foods were all very greasy. Spring rolls like they come from the freezer with “Asian sauce” from the supermarket. That's not bad in itself, but it's disappointing for €31.80 per person. The chairs were comfortable and there was also a selection of vegan and vegetarian options. However, I would not recommend the restaurant, especially not during rush hour.

We had reserved a table for 12 people. Half wanted that Take the buffet and the other half preferred to order a la carte or weren't that hungry. But this was not possible. Unfortunately, when we ordered we were told that either everyone had to take the buffet or everyone had to take it off the menu. When asked what the reason for this was, it was stated that those who ordered tickets could eat with the buffet eaters. I found this to be completely non-customer oriented and implied that we were abusing the offer. I think it's an impertinence to tell one of our companions, who is very careful about his calories, that he has to take the buffet or the others can't use the buffet because of one person. First of all, this restaurant is not very big. You could look directly at our table from the entrance and reception. It would have been easier to see if we had sat on the waiter's lap. Apparently the restaurant is designed for tourists who get paid once and don't care if they come again. But as a person who works in Heidelberg, you won't go here anymore. The sushi was tasty and OK. I would like to give this 3.5 stars.

i ordered alot of variety of the sushi options from your menu and when i say it was not fresh at all it is an understatement i could not eat it and hopefully noone goes through what i did with their sushi. I too this day cannot order sushi because of this experience maybe one day i can give sushi another shot but for now i will not be going near it because of this restaurant.

The food in this restaurant was excellent and tasty. The prices were reasonable and fair. Unfortunately, there were problems implementing our All You Can Eat orders. There was a mix-up and, as a vegan, I received dumplings filled with meat. Since there were two of us who ordered and didn't question every dish, this was particularly annoying. It's pretty annoying to still be served meat in a restaurant where I only order vegan food and explicitly ask for some dishes.

The sushi restaurant on Heidelberg's shopping street, which looks somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, has two large dining rooms on two floors. We ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet via iPad, which is hardly advertised (ASK!). The selection is large, the portions generous. We were very impressed with the quality of the food. The service was very attentive, quick and very friendly. Unfortunately we were just passing through Heidelberg, otherwise we would certainly be regular customers.

Payment: We tried to pay with four different debit cards (2x Germany and 2x US), all of which the card machine declined and the waiter blamed it on us, and then blamed it on the rain? I’ve never experienced service like this before…. Food: The sushi is good (for Germany standards) they do an all you can eat lunch or dinner buffet. However they stopped us ordering sashimi for no reason. Staff: They don’t speak English so it was tricky to communicate as a tourist. The older man was not very customer friendly.

We had the all you can eat and it was all very tasty. Unfortunately we only managed 3 rounds, but it was still totally worth it in terms of price. We couldn't do it anymore after that. The only criticism is that the tablet doesn't say how many pieces of sushi there are, for example, so we accidentally ordered 16 pieces because we thought a portion was about 4 and not 8. But it wasn't bad because they were small and totally delicious.

The best buffet in Heidelberg! I have visited this restaurant several times and am always impressed. At €21.80 per person for lunch (drinks not included), the buffet offers excellent value for money. I always like to order lamb skewers, sweet potato fries, seaweed salad, miso soup, baked banana and lychee. There are also many sushi offerings. In total, each person can order 10 rounds, but after the fourth round I'm completely full. I will gladly come again!

Incredibly delicious sushi in Heidelberg's old town. We have never eaten such delicious sushi. It is freshly prepared and served with a lot of love. The price is a little higher, but it's worth it. You have 2 hours and can order on the tray and take food from the conveyor belt. The only criticism: Please cut vegan sushi with an extra knife, fish roe on veggie sushi is unsightly.

The selection is very nice and the food was also very tasty. Unfortunately, the sushi is sometimes a little dry, but this can be changed with soy sauce. The own sushi creations are a little more expensive, but we enjoyed them very much. We also ate wontons, which were also very good. Unfortunately, the all-you-can-eat is mandatory because the sushi is quite small and otherwise the whole thing would not be worthwhile for the guest. The furnishings, especially the chairs, have seen better days. It's not incredibly bad, but it could be avoided. Conclusion: It is a solid sushi restaurant that is worth a visit. (All-you-can-eat is important!)

Contrary to some reviews, the Sushi Band is operational. In addition to the belt, all dishes can be ordered via a tablet if you haven't found your preferred sushi or want to eat something else. If all you can eat is too much for you, you can also choose dishes from the menu. We were there for lunch and had a wide variety of dishes available. We will definitely test whether the menu is even richer in the evening.

For €31.80 you can have an all-you-can-eat evening meal, although this does not take place at a buffet, as is misleadingly advertised. Instead, guests have the choice of using the conveyor belt or ordering via an iPad, with all dishes delivered directly to the table. One advantage of ordering at a table is that the dishes are prepared fresh without having been on the conveyor belt for a while. It is also possible to order à la carte. The sushi selection isn't very large, but the taste is okay.

Has fallen significantly compared to before (until 2019), sometimes worse food, less selection at a significantly higher price! We used to go there often, but probably won't do so anymore! We were absolutely disappointed, what a shame!!! We had the buffet!

Unfortunately, the quality has decreased significantly and the prices have increased. All you can eat costs €31.50 per person, which is far too expensive considering you only get fried ready-made food. The sushi wasn't particularly tasty either. I actually wouldn't eat there again after my last visit, there are much better options in Heidelberg :)

Perfect location, food and atmosphere

We love the IKoi. I really can't understand why it has so many bad reviews. The selection is very tasty, you order smaller portions (like Japanese tapas) using a tablet and pay a flat rate for them. The selection is good and the quality of the food is very tasty. The service has always been super friendly.

Very rude service. We reserved a table by phone for my birthday at 4 p.m. When we arrived we were made to wait a few minutes. The question then came as to whether we wanted to stay away from the crowd!? When we were assigned to a table inside as requested, we sat down. The waiter (older man) gave us three cards, whereupon I asked if we could also get tablets as usual. He ordered me very rudely: “Look at the clock!”. (For your background: All You Can Eat orders with tablets are only possible from 4:30 p.m., which we didn't know and nobody pointed out to us on the phone or on site). He also answered other questions cheekily, which is why we decided to leave. It's a shame that you are treated like this as a guest. We were looking forward to the food.

We often eat “all you can eat” here and are always very satisfied. The ambience is pleasant, but when it is full it can be louder. Ordering via tablet is easy and the food is prepared quickly. There is a very large selection with a wide variety of dishes. The price has risen sharply in recent years, but is still fair.

Trotz viel los in der Stadt haben wir sofort einen Platz bekommen. Obwohl das Personal viel zu tun hatte, waren sie immer freundlich und haben blitzschnell das Essen gebracht.

Super schicker Laden, fancy besteck, sehr leckeres Essen. Die Wartezeit nach dem Bestellen beträgt selten mehr als 10 Minuten. Preise sind auch vollkommen fair. Komme seit Jahren her und komme auch gerne weiterhin.

Perfect for a quick light meal before an evening at the Zimmertheater across the street; the reason my wife and I have frequented the restaurant on a few occasions. Friendly staff. The narrow building and typical flux of Heidelberg tourists make it not my first choice for a relaxing dinning experience; nevertheless, I find the middle class sushi is better than its price; considering the location.

Super lecker! Die Auswahl war mehr als genug. Der Service und das Essen waren super schnell und freundlich. Sieht von außen klein aus, aber definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Ist schwer in Ordnung. Das all you can eat kostet abends fast 30 Euro, was schon sehr teuer ist. Vorallem für diese Qualität, die eher durchschnittlich ist. Da könnte ein Getränk doch wenigstens inklusive sein! Außerdem werden gerne werden hier auch Bestellung mit dem ipad vergessen.
