Good, tasty food at a great price. It is always freshly prepared and arrives super quickly, I always like to come back :)

They simply deducted €5 more from me… The bill was €56, I rounded the tip to €60 and later saw in my savings bank app that the lady deducted €65 from me. She deliberately held the card reader to me so that I could see the card surface and not the screen. At the moment I didn't think much of it and even if it's only €5 it's not possible at all, especially if they do this to every customer and only a few people notice it. It's a shame because the food was okay and there wasn't much to complain about... Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very good sushi and miso soup. Price based on the menu, which includes soup, sushi and desert, very cheap - pleasantly surprised. Service is always friendly and cooperative. I found the ambience just right, plus sake and you have the perfect place to have a drink with your friends.

It was good, I had the soup with beef and pasta for lunch, unfortunately the tomatoes were forgotten. The soup was also there in two minutes. Price was cheap at 9.80. But the atmosphere of a canteen, cozy would be different. So, eat something quickly, yes, don't enjoy it.

Same staff and consistent quality for years. Not high class sushi, but definitely tasty. Cheap lunch with soup and tea! Recommended.

This is a Chinese owned Japanese restaurant that serves really nice noodles. I always order the tomato beef noodles. As a Japanese person I won’t eat sushi here but the noodles are very authentic and highly recommended!

As many times as I have been, I have been completely satisfied. The place is beautiful and clean and the sushi is delicious and at reasonable prices!!!

The sushi itself is good and worth the price. The service was very poor. We had to wait over an hour for the food, we were no longer taken care of, and drinks were no longer asked for. Dishes were missing from our order and the restaurant wasn't clean either.

Unfortunately, sushi was pretty dry and bland. The rice was not correctly mixed with rice vinegar. Since it was very dry and the individual grains of rice were clearly noticeable in the mouth, I assume that (this time) no sushi rice was used, but the "normal" side rice for the other dishes. The (very) low price for the sushi was unfortunately appropriate.

This is the best sushi restaurant in Heidelberg. Their soups with homemade noodles are excellent.

By far the best sushi restaurant far and wide, both in terms of price and taste, you simply can't beat it! Nice staff (especially the friendly man who makes the sushi) is always smiling and does a great job :)<3 I only come here now!

And most importantly: very tasty 🙂 Update: Even after several more visits, I can still maintain my rating. I can also say that I am always fascinated by the fact that even more complicated and extensive orders were always prepared correctly.

Good and fast sushi, perfect for a quick lunch

I wanted to give the restaurant a second chance. Sushi tasted much better this time. Only the edamame were not edible. They were placed on the table iced. You have to write the order down yourself on a piece of paper, I've never seen that anywhere else! Special requests will also not be taken into account. Hence the 2 stars!

LONG WAIT, bad service. We arrived at a very busy time and the kitchen and front were overwhelmed with orders. We spent nearly TWO hours from walking in to walking out, and still did not receive our full order food (only drinks and miso soup). The rest of our order was simple sushi dishes. The waiter forgot to put in our order, but only admitted his mistake after we finally got his attention and spoke about it twice...after having already waited for nearly an hour. His initial response was "There are a lot of people," before he admitted his mistake the second time around. We watched as others came, were served, ate, and left. It was very chaotic and getting any of the staff's attention was difficult, if not somewhat impossible. They were swamped with orders, etc. The prices are good, but I can't say how the food was because we never got any besides the soup! If you go, try to go at a quiet time. Disappointed because I was looking forward to this place, and the menu had good offerings. I hope the restaurant can remedy these issues because it seems to be a decent place for a nice, casual dinner.

We've never had such bad sushi and soup! Requests are not taken into account. You are, so to speak, forced to eat the sushi raw even though we wanted it flambéed and cooked through. When I asked if it could be flambéed, it was only flambéed a little and was still raw! Very bad service! My son also had a very bad allergic reaction from the soup and his eyes and face were completely swollen with subsequent conjunctivitis. Simply horror

Leckere Nudeln zu erschwinglichen Preisen. Angemessene Portionsgrößen. Die Gäste werden aufgefordert, das Gewünschte selbst auf einem Zettel aufschreiben. Dies mag hier in Deutschland als ungewöhnlich empfunden werden, ist in China jedoch gang und gebe.

The food was great! I have rarely eaten such delicious sushi. The prices are reasonable. The service was very friendly. I can only report positive things!

My friends and I have been coming here to eat sushi for 6 years. So far the food has always tasted delicious and we will probably always remain regular customers!!! I don't understand some of the other comments...it's just a smaller restaurant where things don't always go perfectly. In my opinion it doesn't have to be. That's what gives the restaurant its charm ;) We like the cozy atmosphere.

Watchout Muslims, Food is not Halal at all. if you care about. Surprise to see scarf wearing women there. Same oil is used for halal and not halal meat and vegetables. same Utensils are used.

I had ordered miso soup and Chicken steamed dumplings. Miso soup was served immediately and it tasted good but the cutlery in which the soup was served was smelling bad.. I thought it was the soup but when I tried in another spoon then I realized the smell was from not properly washed spoon . The chicken hot dumplings tasted very good and there were no complaints. But I see that whenever I was calling the waitress I got a delayed response and did not feel such a friendly vibe, Maybe it was closing time!! The food was tasty and the ambiance of the place was cool.

Ich war heute zum ersten Mal mit meiner Familie im Sakura essen, es wird auch das letzte Mal gewesen sein, vorherige Bewertungen kann ich überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen. Wer behauptet dort würde es gutes Sushi geben, hat noch nie gutes Sushi gegessen, Sojasauce mußten wir uns selbst holen, Ingwer gab es keins. Wer das Service nennt hat noch nie guten Service erlebt, die Bedienung hat Speisekarte, Getränke "hingeklatscht" von Freundlichkeit keine Spur, wir konnten nicht zusammen essen, weil das Essen so nach und nach Mal an den Tisch kam, was mich am allermeisten schockiert hat, das das Essen ein Kind serviert hat, das geht überhaupt nicht!!! Das einzig Gute: das Essen war vor 3 Stunden und es ist noch drin.

Best sushi restaurant in the area! The selection is large and the food tastes very, very good. The service is quick and efficient, but the atmosphere and location are also quite nice.

We ordered a table for 4 people, we were seated at the entrance but it was very cold from the door, we asked to move when the table was free. Of course for 3 hours no one offered to move. We waited 45 minutes for the order. They brought vegan roll along with regular roll on a plate. Ginger and sauce plates were not brought at all. The pieces were different sizes, sometimes the fish didn't cover the whole roll. One was brought with warm rice even though it wasn't a warm roll. The roll was completely tasteless. When ordering again replied in a rude manner that there would be 30 minutes to wait for the order. The staff is rude and unfriendly. I won't come to this restaurant again.

Schneller und freundlicher Service, Mittagstisch wird rasch serviert, Toilette im UG sauber aber in die Jahre gekommen. Von vielen Asiaten besucht.

Die Karte hat viel zu bieten, die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Leider hat uns das Sushi nicht geschmeckt. Die Vorspeisen waren okay. Der Service war leider auch nicht empfehlenswert.

Leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente

Sehr leckeres Mittagsmenü mit Sushi, Salat, Tee und Suppe. Schönes Ambiente. Teils Sprachbarriere beim Service, Bestellen hat aber durch die Bitte, selber die Nummern zu notieren gut geklappt.

In der Nähe des Bismarckplatzes liegt das Sushi-Restaurant Sakura. Der Bismarckplatz ist mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut zu erreichen. Das Dekor des Lokals ist dem Ambiente der japanischen Strassenlokale nachempfunden und man kommt sich vor, als würde man dort sitzen. Neben Plätzen im inneren gibt es auch Außenplätze an der Bergheimerstraße.

Ich habe dort nun zweimal essen abgeholt. Es hat super geschmeckt. Sie waren fix bei der Zubereitung und während ich im Laden gewartet habe, fand ich es dort sehr gemütlich und werde beim nächsten Besuch in Heidelberg dort vor Ort essen.

Pas trop cher si on sait quoi choisir, ramen très bon. Sushis frais. Pas de problème. La soupe udon est à recommander car elle fait la taille d'un plat et elle vient avec une tempura de ciurgettes/paprika et crevettes un peu grasses. Ça et une portion de sushis et on mange bien pour moins de 20€.

Das Sushi war super lecker und frisch. Die Suppe war auch sehr lecker und die Portion sehr groß. Das Ambiente war sehr schön und gemütlich. Wir sind spontan gekommen und problemlos einen Tisch gefunden, obwohl es Samstag Abend war. Ich würde das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

It was the Heidelberg autumn fest and the Hauptstrasse was overcrowded. Rather than struggle in the crowd, but wanting a Japanese meal I tried Sukura 2 in the Bergheimerstrasse. There are enough comments on the ordering system and I can confirm that the service was pretty average and so were the dishes. I ordered a glass of Spanish red wine that was so sweet that I could not finish it - that really is not an option for Japanese food (bad idea to have that in offer).

Funky ordering. You're presented with a menu, pad of paper and pen. Write down your drink and food numbers. Some tables the waitress picked up the orders, others had to bring the order to her. We ordered a meal combo that included soup and dessert. The soup came out with a little bowl of three lychees. I asked if that was part of the appetizer and they said no, the lychees are dessert. Bringing it out before the meal was strange. Miso soup had little tiny pieces of meat in it. A surprise that turned out to be unpleasant. The idea of meat in the soup is great but it was so overcooked like it had simmered all day that it was flavorless and unidentifiable. The sushi and sashimi was good. In fact the tuna and sashimi was excellent, noticeably better than in other restaurants. It was strange that on the menu those were the only two types of fish for sashimi. No whitefish, mackerel, etc were offered. The dessert was inadequate. If it had been served with even a single scoop of something like ginger or black sesame ice cream in the miso soup sized bowl it would have been better. And served after eating the meal. Would I go back? Yes, but I'd skip the meal and order individually.

I’ve been in the past years a few times in this sushi restaurant. This time as a vegan. The quality is constantly high. The vegetable skewers were new for me and surprisingly good. The desserts were quite good too. We plan to come again!
