EDIT: The noise issue was solved, I went and tried the burgers, the bulgogi one is awesome! Kind of pricy, but worth it. EDIT2: And it's back, I've notified the Ordungsamt. Run their fans loudly to the street, makes the neighborhood worse

Very tasty burgers, served by friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is student-touristy, so it's rather lively with a slightly higher noise level. However, conversation is possible.

The tofu burger is the greatest burger I’ve ever had, every time I’m in Berlin I have it and every single time I tell myself “yeah, this is my favorite burger”, 11/10

The burger was full of sauce that masked the beef flavor a lot. The patty itself I believe is fresh and good quality, but very thin and small. They have medium or well done options. The medium was cooked a bit too much for my liking. Chicken bites are delicious! Chana was such a sweet and helpful server. Cutiepie! She deserves a raise :") Overall 4/5

We tried the bulgogi burger and the ebi burger, which were good, although we thought it might have been more of an Asian fusion. The lemonades were delicious, as was the tempura sweet potato, and the service was very friendly.

The shrimp sandwich with sweet potato fries was absolutely delicious. However, there are no halal meat options available, which was a bit disappointing.

A Japanese-inspired burger joint that feels more like “fine, but why so pricey?” 🍔💸 Fries were okay — nothing special. The burger had good meat, I could actually taste it, which I liked. But for the price, it could’ve been bigger. And that fancy “lime” mentioned on the menu? Nowhere to be found. Drinks are where it really hurts: €4.50 for a Coke feels less like refreshment and more like a punchline. 🥤 And then the tea incident: we asked the waiter (a guy) if the jasmine tea was pure jasmine or green with jasmine. He swore it was “just jasmine.” Of course, what showed up was strong green tea with jasmine. Not exactly the evening twist we wanted. Overall, it’s a decent café, but Berlin’s food scene is way too competitive. Without any standout flavors or unique ingredients, I don’t see myself coming back. Maybe if it were my national cuisine, sure — but otherwise, once is enough.

This was my first time at Shiso Burger Alte Schönhauser and I have to say right away that it was a fantastic visit. No long waits. A fantastic selection of dishes. The menu isn't too overwhelming but offers a perfectly balanced selection. The food was very, very tasty, and I have to commend the kitchen for that. The burger was fantastic. Every bite was truly a highlight. The service was also very commendable. I was served by a small Asian waitress who was really attentive and very diligent. That's what you want these days, which is why I gave it 10 stars instead of 5 for service. I'll definitely be back.

What a shame - not a family friendly restaurant. We were turned down and could not eat because we had two strollers with us, despite the restaurant being half empty on a Monday night.

Portions are a bit small for the price, in my opinion, but the quality is great.

We tried the chili lemon burger (€11), cheese burger (€10.5), buldak burger (€10), fries (€4.8), and sweet potatoes (€5.9). Everything we ate was delicious, the waiter was friendly, and our orders arrived quickly.

Cool little restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating. The burgers and chicken bites were delicious and definitely eye-catching! The staff is super friendly, and if you're a fan, you can even watch your food being prepared through a glass panel!

Slow service from the waiters, the burger is not bad but lacks some zest, overall tasty, the toilet clearly needs cleaning in the evening.

A disgraceful and unacceptable experience. We were treated with shocking arrogance by the waiter, who blatantly ignored us, let people who arrived after us be seated first, and approached us with an annoyed and rude attitude. But what was truly outrageous is that he clearly treated us badly just because we are Italian. Such discriminatory and offensive behavior should never be tolerated. The service was terrible, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming, and the entire experience was marked by a complete lack of respect. This is a place to avoid at all costs. We will never return, and we strongly encourage others to do the same.

Incredibly delicious chili lemon.

This place offers Asian style burgers and other dishes. It’s located in a lively area and you have to be lucky to find seating outside. The place itself is rather small. Staff is friendly and attentive. The food was served fast.

I completely forgot to write a review! My sister and I came here roughly a month ago, and I have some things to say. Firstly, the staff were just amazing! The girls were such cinnamon buns and recommended the shrimp burger to us. My sister ended up falling in love with their burgers and proclaimed them the best in the world. Additionally, the fries were delicious! I also saw someone’s review, saying that the drinks were really good – I can confirm this, as their lemonades are really nice and refreshing (especially the ananas mint one hit hard after my combination of a shrimp burger with some kimchi).

Unfortunately, the food didn't quite impress us. Given the presentation and the hype, we had some high expectations – we thought it would be really tasty. The fries, however, were pretty tasteless. The burgers, on the other hand, were quite good! We were a bit confused by the drinks – I imagine a spritzer to be more sparkling, not like still water. My rhubarb spritzer tasted more like diluted rhubarb juice 😓😄

The Bulgogi Burger is delicious

A place inflated by social media. The burger patty almost spoke to me, it was raw, not rare. If you are going to serve it like this, you can ask the customer how he wants his meat cooked. There was no flavor to the burger patty. When was spice invented? We ordered fries but they never came. A very small burger for 10 euros. The lemonade was too sweet. Unfortunately, it was a regret.

The staff were really polite and attentive. The food was of top quality. I recommend getting two burgers with one burger instead of one. There was nothing to complain about :)

The burgers are creative, freshly prepared, and taste something special – especially the Asian flavors set them apart from other burger joints. However, I have to be honest: the price is quite high for the relatively small portion. I also found the drink prices to be well above average – which somewhat spoils the overall impression. Nevertheless: If you're looking for high-quality burgers with a special twist, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here. Nice atmosphere, friendly service – overall, it's worth a visit, even if the prices are a bit high.

Small portions, big taste! Shiso Burger impresses with its delicious, authentic flavor and top location – perfect for a break in the heart of Berlin. The burgers are really good, juicy, with great ingredients and exciting flavors. The portions could be a bit larger, but the taste is fantastic. The chicken bites were also a highlight – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and really well-seasoned. And for all matcha fans: The matcha ice cream is an absolute must – creamy, intense, and simply delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving something different from the classic burger!

Years ago I ate at Shiso Burger once and wanted to try it again. Even after 7 years, the Asian American combo is unique. We chose the Bulgogi Beef and Shrimp Burger. Although our expectations weren't that high, we were very positively surprised. The food came to the table in less than 5 minutes and the house was full. And it was hot. Where many restaurants skimp on flavors, the sauces here were top notch. And the beef was very tender. If you're afraid of finely pureed shrimp in a patty, you don't need to worry, the consistency is great. The food was outstanding and the portions (including all starters) were very generous. As I said, service was insane. Drinks in minutes. Appetizers too. Very friendly. I'm really completely happy and can recommend Shiso Burger to anyone who is interested in the menu. Especially this location. :)

I became aware of this restaurant through a food video on YouTube and was very curious about the Bulogi Burger and was not disappointed. Really delicious. Asian burger works, even if it actually has nothing in common with a classic burger. A steamed, soft bun with spicy strips of beef fillet, fresh lamb's lettuce and a spicy sauce. A friendly shop with friendly staff. Really great. Keep it up!

I used to come to this place every week, always enjoying the shiso double burger. Then, a waitress treated me in a very offensive way. Here’s my experience: I changed my table. I understand that I should follow the rules when a worker assigns me a table or at least ask before moving. However, if the place is almost empty and the table she assigned me becomes very uncomfortable—because she seated a very big person right behind me, taking away my basic personal space—I would expect her to politely ask me to move, not to rudely approach me, almost screaming in my face: 'You cannot sit there; it is reserved for bigger groups.' First, put a 'Reserved' sign on tables that are actually reserved. Second, be kind to your customers if you want them to come back. But she told me she doesn’t want customers like me. No problem—I will never come back.
