Upper Burger Grill in Berlin

Good restaurant with delicious food. Four of us came here for a business meal and it was delicious. The restaurant is relatively small, so you should make a reservation here during peak times. There is no parking lot, but public transport is nearby. There is a point deduction for service. Some of the dishes were served interchangeably and some with the wrong side dishes. But it still tasted good.

Ambience very nice. Reservations are recommended in the evening. Price/performance doesn't quite fit. Upper cheeseburger with extra champions Sweet potato fries, truffle mayo and a drink cost an impressive €28 Burger: size very good. Lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, everything was very crunchy and fresh. Meat was ok, bun too. Neither great nor flop Fries: Very good size, unfortunately only average in taste Truffle mayo was good.

If you want to eat really good burgers, you should definitely go to Upper Burger. The burgers are amazing and the steaks are great too. Be sure to try the truffle fries as a side dish. If you like truffles, you'll get your money's worth here. Since the restaurant doesn't have very many seats, you should definitely reserve a little in advance.

Delicious food. Ordered 2 burgers with sweet potato fries. Super fresh, super tasty. Busy tent but there was still room for 2 people. There was no room for larger groups due to many reservations.

Went to this place this evening, got sat at the entrance :( everyone who walked in was practically on us. Order a ginger tea, it came WITHOUT TEA 😃 just hot water and lemon? When I asked the server if they accidentally missed the TEA part of the tea, she ignored us and walked off. Had to wait a long time for the check, we asked two separate people to finally get it. The burgers are not bad, the service is upsetting.

Sorry, but I just can't recommend this store. My girlfriend had a coleslaw salad. Now she's in the hospital with food poisoning and having the shittiest night of her life. My burger was super dry, but the fries were good. Service hardly speaks German and will take your plate away when you've finished the burger, but you're generally still eating. Disrespectful. Too expensive in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend mecces more.

Small, cozy restaurant with hamburgers and steak specialties on a side street from Kurfürstendamm (near the Memorial Church). Very generous hamburgers, well topped, lots of meat, the steak dishes were very well grilled and appetizingly prepared. Not cheap, especially the side dishes (fries, salad, ketchup, etc.). But it was really delicious.

Utrolig hyggelig restaurant med byens bedste burgere. Ingen tvivl om,at der bliver brugt kvalitetsråvarer og at der bliver kræset lidt ekstra for maden/ drikkevarerne indet det bliver serveret. Personalet er virkelig søde og yder en helt perfekt service. Stedet får mine varmeste anbefalinger. Sørg evt. for at komme tideligt på aftenen/ book et bord, da det er en ret populært sted.

Great burger near the Memorial Church. Now also with on-site service. When I'm in Berlin, I always like to go there. Selection and quality is right. Price-performance too. Edit October 2024: Still worth a stop even 7 years after my first visit. In the meantime you should have reserved if possible and the prices have also risen drastically. Quality is still very good. Beer could be a little colder. And yet the store remains my first port of call on business trips to Berlin! Great team and great food.

The two of us were here on a Saturday evening. You should definitely make a reservation in advance, as guests with more than 3 people in particular find it difficult to get a table at such a time. The restaurant is quite small and can accommodate an estimated 30 people. So it's a little tighter. The food was super delicious. The burger (Sweet Bird) had a pleasant spiciness and crispy, juicy chicken. The rib-eye steak was also cooked to perfection, tender and simply delicious. The fries and coleslaw were delicious sides!

The ambience was nice with great music. The food was very tasty (we ate burgers and fries), the meat was of good quality. But 2 negative points, the employees aren't particularly nice and the homemade fries were very little for €5 plus €3 ketchup and mayo in the end €8 for nothing :'( We were there yesterday October 11th, 2024 around 8:30 p.m.

The citizen with the truffle sauce was great

Although the patties were fried “well done” instead of “medium” as requested, the burgers still tasted good. The brioche buns are so firm that they don't fall apart as soon as you bite into them. The fries were particularly tasty: made in-house from whole potatoes, so they were crunchy and tasty. However, you should bring money with you. 1x beer, 1x burger, 1x chilli cheese fries with aioli quickly cost €30. But good... it's also on the Ku'damm 😅

The Upper Burger Grill is a clear recommendation, the service was good, the preparation time wasn't too long and the burgers were very tasty. Gladly again! Especially with NeoTaste you get a fantastic price-performance ratio

Excellent quality of food, welcoming place

Unfortunately the service was very poor and although there were 4 seats available we were directed to sit outside. Service very bad Burger unfortunately not tried but what should you expect when the service force offers no service so zero stars.

Small shop and if there are more than 2 people, you should make a reservation. We ordered the “Dirthy Harry” medium and actually got it medium. The burger was very tasty. The fries were OK and the onion rings were a little too crispy, but still good. All in all, only recommended.

If people voluntarily sit outside in cool weather to have a burger and spare ribs, then the burger joint must be good. The map is manageable, but with special features that I haven't found elsewhere. Unfortunately... There are no desserts. I couldn't really do anything with the milkshake. My tip; Upper Wild = wild boar burger with cranberries It will take some time, so allow for the waiting time. And make a reservation!

If you’re looking for a good burger in Berlin, this place has a very good selection. We’ve been in Germany for over 10 days and needed a break from German food so we look for a good old-fashioned hamburger place. The location is quite small, but the food is fantastic. Yes, it reminded me of a burger back home in the US. oh, and the milkshakes were fantastic!

Good burgers for meat eaters. The size of burger is normal, not that small and not that big either. The quality of meat was good. You have to order extra fries or salad as a side dish, there is no side dish with the burger. That's why it's expensive. About €20 just for the burger and a side. What I found a bit strange and cheeky was the dips, which you also have to order separately, €1.5 for a ketchup dip, I think it's cheeky. You can sit outside when the weather is good. It's best to reserve a place as the restaurant is usually fully booked.

This restaurant enjoys a good reputation on TripAdvisor and even received the Traveller's Award, but as of July 2024, this restaurant is really not recommended. Food: Looking at the menu, I imagined the burger to be really spectacular. There was talk of "premium quality beef" and "homemade chili chutney", but there wasn't much to be seen when eating it. The test included the “Upper Cheese” (cheese burger), the “Sweet Bird” (crispy chicken with honey mustard sauce), the fries and the chicken nuggets. The burger was, how shall I put it, not well divided. So wow, the brioche bun made up a good 5/6 of the entire burger, which meant there wasn't much of the actual flavor left. The bottom half was soggy and the topping was McDonald's level (except the patty. That was still a good 7 out of 10). The nuggets and fries were from the nice freezer. Service: The service was fine. The waitress was nice and helped with the ordering, but clearly seemed like she didn't know anything. Ambiance: In terms of design, the restaurant doesn't really convince me. If you know Burgerzimmer, this place looks exactly the same. Simply black with a few artificial plants and an unnecessary number of ceiling lamps, very average. Am I coming back? Absolutely not. Nice place with amazing salmon burger

Berlin is expensive. Especially on the Ku'damm and around it. But here, half a stone's throw from the Ku'damm, you can get very good burgers and fries at a reasonable price. Homemade, good quality meat, no “fried fries” or frozen factory patties.

Completely overrated, dry bread with mediocre ingredients. I have no idea why it's so highly rated

It is a small but nice burger and steak restaurant. The rip eye steak was cooked to perfection and had excellent flavor. Just like a grilled steak should be! The fries and homemade mayonnaise were also very tasty. The ambience is rather rustic and cramped and can therefore be a bit noisy. For fans of a good steak or burger, this address is without question highly recommended!

I let myself be fooled by all the positive reviews but: - the black patty was not a real brioche - the sauce was overwhelming and way too sweet and sour (and I love sour!) - the meat was absolute mediocre - the truffled mashed potatoes taste like they were made from powdered mash & the truffles are obviously really cheap ones…

A nice place to come, best to get a place outside inside is too hot. The waiter found us a place even though we didn’t reserve but would reserve especially on the weekend. Nice food, fun flavors of burgers, ‘ but expensive and the chips came 10 mins after burger, we asked three times and the waiter kept of saying « it’s coming », so was a shame not to enjoy together.

I was in the restaurant with my girlfriend and since we rarely go out to eat, we went straight in and ordered various citizens, fries and Colesaw. At the beginning I would like to say straight away that we were really satisfied and would love to come back. But unfortunately our beef burgers were very dry and a bit of a disappointment compared to the whole burger culture in Berlin. But I would still like to recommend the store to you. Small note: the store was very busy. Maybe that was the reason for the citizen quality. Best regards

Overrated and too expensive for such quality. They ask for 5 stars in Google for a 10% discount. Burger was ok but with an old bun that completely broke in your hand. Fries were made from potatoes that were no longer edible. You don't get any sauce with the fries, but you have to pay 2 euros for supposedly homemade sauce (it looked like normal Heinz sauce and the taste of preservatives was clearly noticeable).

Zu lange auf das Essen warten müssen. 45 Minuten Wartezeit sind deutlich zu lang.

I had the classic burger which was a solid 4/5, the fries were okay, 3 stars because of the poor value-for-money ratio. Burger: The meat quality was very nice. The burger was supposed to be medium but in my opinion done a bit too long, only in some parts still red-ish and already a bit dry (also no meat juice left). It came with ketchup as the only sauce, a different sauce may add some more interesting flavors. Fries: not very tasty and the larger ones were still pretty hard inside, also 6,50€ for a medium sized portion of fries & sauce is a bit expensive i.m.o. Service: fast and friendly

Over the weekend I wanted to eat delicious ribs and decided to randomly select them on Google Maps. The Upper Burger Grill restaurant is located near the Zoological Garden train station. Depending on the weather or mood, you can enjoy the meat dishes indoors or outdoors. I ordered the baby pork ribs, which were delicious - the tender meat literally melted in your mouth. The waitress was friendly, answered my questions and explained the dishes in detail.

Very nice and friendly service. Food requests will be accommodated. Definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed the ribs and were split on the burger. I didn’t care for it, but my boyfriend really enjoyed it. The fries were good nothing special, but the coleslaw is an absolute pass. It didn’t have much flavor and was overall unappealing to us. I understand that this is the Kudamm, but 4€ for .25ml of water and 8.5€ for .75ml of water feels like highway robbery. We didn’t get any drinks as the price felt exorbitant for the amount you’d receive. Also 2€ for sauces is ridiculous…
