Upper Burger Grill in Berlin

I just ordered from Wolt for the first time, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. They were missing fries, the lamb ribs were okay, the burger was a disaster (that generic burger bun that all the run-of-the-mill burger joints use), the truffle puree wasn't actually bad, but the best part was the grilled vegetables. I'd always meant to go there in person, so now I'm glad I ordered online; it saved me time.

The food there is definitely very delicious.

Reservation was required, but they did not disappoint us and hosted us. The place is beautiful.

The food was absolutely delicious! I've never eaten such tasty veal ribs, and the BBQ sauce was divine. I don't usually like BBQ sauce that much, but this was absolutely divine! 😋😅

The hamburger was tasty and the fries were good. The service was friendly, but the sparkling water was a bit overpriced. The restaurant floor could be cleaner, and one of the diners felt unwell after the meal.

Today was our first time at this small but excellent burger restaurant. We were completely satisfied. The burgers were delicious and the service was top-notch. We'll gladly come back when we're in town again.

Excellent quality with a manageable menu. Reservations are recommended in the evenings, as the restaurant is very popular and there aren't many tables.

I haven't had such a delicious burger in ages. I really like the selection on the menu. We'll definitely be back. A little tip: consider adding a vestibule during the winter months. The door opens and closes quite often, and it's not always pleasant for guests to eat when there's a draft. Otherwise, great job, keep it up!

INCREDIBLE food and lively atmosphere! We got the cheddar cheese soup, the brisket bowl, and the filet mignon. The soup was amazingly rich and creamy, and the filet came with some vegetables (roasted corn and tomatoes) and a small salad which was an pleasant surprise, and the brisket bowl was a nice mix of comfort ingredients. All in all a nice and fun place to stumble into on a cold day. Only downside is it’s really expensive (€8.50 for still water), but may be worth it for the food. Would definitely return!

The service was very friendly 👍🏼. The chili burger was delicious 😋, but unfortunately the bun wasn't warmed up (grill/toaster) and was very cold 😞. Therefore, one star deducted. The chili fries were excellent 👍🏼

We ordered the burgers with upper cheese and upper truffle. The orders were prepared quickly and were truly delicious; you could clearly taste the grilled meat. I highly recommend you try it.

There's quite a bit to tell about our visit to Upper Burger Grill... We went here for dinner because we were looking for excellent burgers in Berlin, and we certainly found them, as the food quality is very good. However, I can only give it 3 out of 5 stars for the following reasons: - Unfortunately, the appetizers, consisting of two salads, were forgotten. They were only brought out after our burgers had already arrived. When it's busy, it's perfectly understandable that there might be a wait, and if the staff were a little more attentive and pointed it out, it wouldn't be a problem. But simply placing the appetizers on top of the burgers seems unprofessional. - When ordering, we each ordered a salad and mentioned that my wife can't tolerate tomatoes. This worked for the appetizer, but unfortunately, it was completely botched for the main course. Despite our instructions, my wife's burger had tomatoes and ketchup on it, which we only noticed after checking it ourselves. : ... After we pointed this out, they thanked us with an eye roll, and instead of offering a fresh burger, they scraped everything off the bun and served it again. With allergies, that's a complete no-go for me. 👋🏻🙂‍↔️👎🏻 You can still eat very well there, but the service staff should work on their communication skills, both internally and with guests. 🙂‍↕️☝🏻

The three of us decided to visit this burger joint on a whim. Even though all the tables were reserved, we managed to get a seat for an hour. A big plus for that. My wife and I each ordered burgers. From the bun to the meat to the vegetables and sauce, everything was very good. Our son isn't a big fan of vegetables, so he had a steak. Minus points for that, because it was very small for just under €30.

The food was excellent, service fast and the staff were lovely and attentive. We were on our last night of our trip to Berlin and were overjoyed to have stumbled across this place. Portion size was perfect and the milkshakes for the kids were intimidating but finished with smiles on their faces. Would highly recommend a visit.

This is legit one of the BEST steak experiences I’ve ever had in my life, and I’m a pretty picky streak eater. I ordered the Rinderfilet. It was as soft as a cloud! I ordered medium and it was nailed perfectly! Also got the truffle fries, heavenly. The service is super friendly and welcoming!!! You feel at home. ❤️

Four of us had a great meal at upper Burger Grill. The burgers were fantastic and the ribs were juicy and tender. The onion rings and truffle fries were fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly and the vibe was great. I would highly recommend upper Burger Grill for lunch or dinner.

Since the restaurant has very good reviews, I went there with my family (with a reservation). The burgers were good, but some of the fries were (still?) hard on the inside. My mother ordered a salad, but unfortunately it was very small (it consisted of a few lettuce leaves, red onions, and a few pieces of tomato). The prices may be high because of the location, but €6.90 for a few leaves of lettuce and not much vegetables is not justified in my opinion. We sat at a table in the corner, under a speaker with relatively loud music playing. On top of that, the restaurant got quite full, making it difficult to have a proper conversation. The service was very good.

I'm amazed how this place managed to get 4.7/5 in reviews. The cheeseburger was ordered "well done" but was delivered "medium." The meat was tasteless, not even properly seasoned. The entire flavor was dominated by generic ketchup and cheap mustard, along with overly sweet gherkin slices, the kind you'd also get at Aldi. The cheese was meager, and when tasted individually, it had a slight cheddar flavor, but it wasn't good cheddar. The brioche bun was much too thick for the burger, very dry, and burnt black on top. The supposedly "homemade fries," which cost a whopping €5 extra, may have been fried in-house (which was probably the "homemade" part), but they were at best cafeteria-quality. In fact, I've eaten much better in many cafeterias. The prices are absolutely outrageous, way, way, way too high for an overall poor service. €4.50 for 0.33 Mezzomix, and then they deliver a straw that's too short for the bottle, which then has to be laboriously pulled out of the bottle: What poor service! My long-finished plate wasn't cleared away. All in all: Not recommended. Below-average service for a much too high price.

Two of us were here with our gourmet block (2 for 1). The service was courteous, the atmosphere was OK. We quickly chose our drinks, burgers, and sides. The burger was delicious. When we paid, we discovered that only the burger counted as the main course. That was a bit disappointing, unfortunately; we thought the burger and fries were counted as the main course. The price was a bit high, but that seems to be due to the location. But overall, it was delicious.

We had to wait a long time for service until I went inside and asked. They didn't bring any napkins, no cutlery... 3-star service, but the burgers were really delicious. I had the NeoTaste 2-for-1 deal, and both were delicious. I ate one there and took one to go.

A simple burger joint with delicious burgers. The prices are reasonable with the gourmet block option, but otherwise it would have been too expensive for us. The side portions are very small, the drinks are very expensive, the ambiance is okay, but overall, the place is very cramped and crowded.

A truly delicious burger selection; you can tell they specialize in burgers. There's something for every taste. The service was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. They even have a light beer on tap! Highly recommended. Peak hours are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., so reservations are recommended during this time.
