Burger Junkys in Berlin

I've been a Burger Junkys customer for years and have generally always been satisfied. But my last visit was a complete disappointment. I ordered two BBQ burger meals (€29) and wanted to pay in cash. I was told to "put the money in the money tray." Since I'd never really noticed such a thing before and hadn't been used during my previous visits, I was briefly confused. Instead of explaining things in a friendly manner, the employee repeatedly treated me rudely and condescendingly ("Never seen anything like this?", "You must have an ego problem"), even suggesting I was "teasing him." I've never been spoken to so disrespectfully there. Additionally, the food was significantly worse than usual: Some of the bacon wasn't cooked properly, the fries were soggier and softer than usual, one of the burger buns was completely soggy and falling apart. They also initially forgot that we wanted to take the food to go. All in all, a very disappointing experience – both in terms of service and the food. Unfortunately, I won't be going here again.

I thought the place was like a regular burger joint. But that wasn't the case. After the first, juicy burger, I was proven wrong. Simply a well-assembled burger. Nothing takes center stage. All the ingredients are well-balanced. The somewhat stocky man behind the counter with the bald head and beard knows his craft very well. The reception was also really friendly. He's a very likeable guy. After me, there was a huge rush of customers. He handled it all with ease. A little small talk with everyone, but still super fast, especially in time to the music, which was also very, very good. Old-school hip hop and R&B played in the background. A trip back to my youth. Thank you for that. And a huge thank you to the Burger Junkys team for the flavor explosion.

Since my first encounter with your chili cheese fries, I've been in love with you. This combination of crispy potato, melted cheese, and that fiery heat has captured my heart. It's not just a snack – it's an experience. A little trip to flavor heaven, a culinary rush that's addictive. Just like you. Just like your name. But – and please forgive me for this tiny objection – the jalapeños. They're wild, boisterous, and sometimes a bit too present. A little more chopped, a little more finely distributed, they might unfold their heat even more elegantly. And then: parsley. Fresh, green, bold. Just a handful! As a crowning touch. It's missing. Not as decoration – but as balance. A greeting from Mother Nature on a plate otherwise entirely dedicated to life's vices. Don't get me wrong: I love you for exactly that. Had the double smash burger, fries and a beer. Great burger honestly, fries were cooked well, i liked the tables, services was friendly, fresh, and fast. Would love the food to be slightly less salty, a wider beer selection (even tho they have a spati next door), and for the tables to be wiped a little more frequently. Overall incredible experience will be back.

The platonic ideal of a smashed burger. They have this down to a science. Sweet potato fries especially are excellent sides.

The burger was OK, but the staff was quite condescending.

I mean this without hyperbole: this is the best burger and the best fries I have had wonder u moved to Berlin seven years ago. It’s nothing special or fancy but it’s cooked perfectly with good ingredients and a nice bun that holds it all together. Highly recommend.

The burgers are next level. Juicy patty, fluffy brioche bun, fresh ingredients and the sauce – a dream. I had the “Chilli Cheeseburger” and it really delivered. Taste explosion deluxe. The veggie option is also really cool, A1.

Price performance unfortunately poor. Hire a law firm to have unpleasant reviews deleted. Watch out!

After a hot summer walk around Berlin we popped in for the famous burgers, ended up staying longer for drinks and the fantastic 90s dance music pumping out from the bar. Thoroughly recommend having Burger Junkys on your planned route around the city

Cool location...! Food was very good, especially the fries really crunched. It may be easy to top the well-known chain stores, BUT this is the best store among alternatives to the chains. Go and try it out...! Update July 18, 2024 We have been here as a family many times. To all those who had something to complain about, everyone certainly has their own perception and the right to it. But the fact is that we have been welcome guests with children here for years and have ALWAYS been served very nicely. As long as there is a clear majority of positive reviews, everything is fine.

For us new employees - burger meat not cooked through! Rolls cold. So back and asked to redo it. The employee then insinuated that we intentionally kept it in the cold weather - completely misplaced!! The employee became loud when I told him to stop making this assumption. Conclusion: The store used to be good, WAS... now I have to rethink that. Have fun enjoying it and, with a bit of luck, avoid salmonella or other germs.

Very weak smash burger. Mustard ketchup and very very little toppings. Even though the meat was delicious... Way too poor toppings for the price... I can also get a simple hamburger from McDonalds. It's a shame... But unfortunately it tastes the same Wings and BBQ sauce very tasty

Ist definitiv einer der besten Burger die ich gegessen habe. Und obwohl viel los war, mussten wir nicht lange warten. Alles in allem ist es definitiv empfehlenswert.

Das Essen ist einfach der Hammer aber der Hauptgrund warum ich herkomme ist das Personal gerade der glatzköpfige mit Bart. So eine offene und freundliche Art ist sehr erfrischend und für mich ein absolutes Highlight.

Toller laden auf dem ersten Blick und aufgeräumt und sauber ist es auch wirklich jedoch die burger finde ich halten nicht das was man im ersten Moment von ihnen erwartet. Die Patty's werden viel zu kurz gebraten und sind übertrieben gesalzen. Dachte es wäre ein Ausrutscher aber drei Mal da gewesen immer einen anderen probiert immer das gleiche. Schade, den es ist wirklich ein schöner laden.

Burger ok. Aber nicht wirklich überzeugend. Fleisch zu trocken, zu lange durchgebraten. Saucen auch nicht mein Fall. Insgesamt recht trockener Burger mit wenig Hingabe zubereitet.

Die Zwiebelringe sind underrated

The place in short is amazing. The fries were so good and perfectly seasoned. The burgers that I had there were fresh and delicious. The buns were soft and the patties were cooked to absolute perfection. Its a small shop with outdoor seating arrangement as well. Wasnt crowded when I went there. So overall it was a good experience.

Absolut fantastischer Barbecue Burger! Die Qualität des Fleisches war hervorragend und perfekt gegrillt, um den saftigen Geschmack zu bewahren. Die Vielfalt an Belägen und Saucen war beeindruckend und hat für eine Geschmacksexplosion gesorgt. Das Ambiente war einladend und das Personal überaus freundlich. Ein Ort, den ich jedem Burger-Liebhaber wärmstens empfehlen kann. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen, um weitere Gaumenfreuden zu erleben!

We find out this place by accident, next to a playground. So nobody was bored till waiting. We had 3 burgers 🍔 with mass of potatoes and a portion of 9 chicken nuggets. We were more than satisfied and full at the end. The staff was joking with the kids.
