Kimchi stew is really really delicious. Good good.

The food was good and the taste was definitely worth recommending. The value for money for Korean BBQ is very poor. The two of us had bulgogi. The menu makes it seem like the dish should only be ordered for two people or more, and you pay around €21.00. In fact, the price is per person, which wasn't clearly stated. Additionally, the platter wasn't particularly big and there was just enough meat. Half of it was very tough and hard to chew. We only felt full because we had a starter, otherwise it wouldn't have been enough. For poor quality meat, two small portions of rice and vegetable banchan, which hardly costs anything, this is very overpriced. Korean fried chicken, on the other hand, was a bit expensive, but very tasty. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all if you want Korean BBQ, but I would for regular dishes.

The food at Seoul Kitchen was really good! We enjoyed it very much and received good service. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to get a small portion of fried chicken as an appetizer – a shame! So we didn't order an appetizer. The price for a bottle of soju at €14 was borderline excessive, but otherwise, the price was reasonable!

The seafood pancake was a generous portion, but unfortunately only the edges were crispy. Some green onions were still raw in the center, and the batter-like center was inedible. The soy and garlic sauce on the fried chicken didn't have any garlic flavor at all. I wonder how the sweet chili would fare. The seaweed rice rolls were praised for not having sesame oil, but the rest of the food was lackluster. They couldn't even add the radish as a side dish for free; they charged 2.50 euros. What a terrible business! I won't be back.

Things have changed, so here's an update to my previous review from 2019. We've been regular guests at Seoul Kitchen for a good nine years. We love Korean food everywhere in Germany and around the world. We almost always order the same favorite dishes at Seoul Kitchen, and the taste has been great and very consistent for years. However, our recent visit left a very bland aftertaste. Both dishes tasted significantly different to us, and in some parts, they were quite bland. The dak bokkum (chicken) was recently swimming in a greasy, unappealing red sauce. The bulgogi seemed to have received new ingredients as well as an adjustment in seasoning; in any case, it seemed rather bland. It contained rather carelessly cut, huge, and tough pieces of meat. Only the banchan and the dumplings tasted excellent, as usual. Whether it was just a bad day for us remains to be seen. But from our perspective, the current taste experience was below average, and it felt like the chef and owners have changed. __ __ __ __ __ Previous review from 2019: The food here is simply fantastic. I can especially recommend the mandus, the pork bulgogi (117), and the chicken breast (48), as well as all the side dishes that come with it. With friends and family, we practically tried the entire menu and were always very enthusiastic. The family who runs the place and their staff are very friendly. Thanks to the renovation in 2018, the interior now has significantly more charm than it did a few years ago.

I tried the seafood pancake (Haemul-Pajeon) here and absolutely loved it! It was super delicious, perfectly crispy, and packed with fresh seafood. You can simply taste the quality and passion with which they cook it. An absolute must for anyone who loves authentic Korean cuisine! I'll definitely be back. Another plus: dogs are welcome!

Today at 7:00 PM, we ate dishes 02, 05, & 14 (see the menu for the dishes, which are listed on the website), along with two drinks. Everything was very deliciously prepared; we were never disappointed. The portion sizes were filling, which pleased us. The service was also attentive, and everything was perfect. All in all, we were very satisfied and will definitely be back!

This was the best kimchi stew I've ever had in Germany (served in a clay pot). I've also tried the Munich kimchi stew, but personally, this was better!! 😋 The owner and staff are Korean, so you can taste the flavor ❤️ (and they're so friendly) If you come to Nuremberg, you must visit this Korean restaurant~~!! It was okay. The bulgogi tasted nothing more than okay. Unfortunately, the meat was also very stringy. The drinks menu was very small, and there wasn't something for everyone. The ambiance was more reminiscent of an old German restaurant—all in all, rather uncomfortable and rustic.

The food is delicious, and the service is really friendly. I think it's a bit overpriced, and the ambiance isn't exactly like a luxury restaurant. But it's enough to experience authentic Korean food.

Contrary to the menu, there are vegan dishes here! Number 16 with the soy meat was amazing! The service was super friendly! The outdoor seating is pretty uncomfortable, though.

The tables could definitely be bigger, as some people here have described. Otherwise, the food is incredibly delicious! We were thrilled and happy to try something new. We've been there twice now and weren't disappointed :) A very nice way to eat together. We can also recommend the Korean Fried Chicken and the Sarti Spritz❤️

We stumbled upon this Korean spot near our place, not too far from the city center. The vegetarian bibimbap and veggie mandu were super tasty. They have a good variety of vegetarian dishes, and the staff were friendly and cheerful. A lovely little find!

Such small portions and underwhelming service!

The food and service were excellent, but with one drawback: the Korean BBQ was a bit overpriced. For €40, you'd expect more meat and at least more side dishes. Speaking of quality, everything was top-notch, and as already mentioned, the service was amazing and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. However, €40 for the BBQ was way too much, and the menu was also very misleading (€20 per person, but a minimum of two orders), and the quantity was barely enough.

The ambiance doesn't quite match the food. The restaurant doesn't seem very inviting at first glance. Everything is a bit unkempt and dated. But don't let the ambiance fool you! The food was amazing! For me, it was pure food porn! One explosion of flavor after another. The portions were perfectly adequate. We were all stuffed. We recommend reserving a table. The restaurant was very, very busy.

Good and delicious Korean restaurant

The service and food taste are okay. However, the size of the stew that costs more than 15 euros is really small. The pickled onions and green onion kimchi that come with the pork belly are originally small, but they charge extra when you order more. Green onions and green onions are cheap here too, so why are they so sparing?

A beautiful, cozy restaurant with a really pleasant atmosphere. The food was very, very, very tasty – simply a pleasure! The service was also super friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and will definitely come back!

The attitude of the man taking the menu order reduces the overall taste and satisfaction of the food. No matter how angry you are, avoid speaking informally to customers.

I could eat the veggie tofu bibimbap every damn day. Sure, it’s certainly tailored towards western taste, but it’s nonetheless amazing. I personally haven’t had any other dish so far, but I’ve brought quite a few people with me every time I visited and they were all pretty happy. The owner / manager is sometimes a bit grumpy and rude to the other staff and the place gets hot and stuffy really quick. The interior looks a bit loveless, but those are all very minor grievances. Overall and specifically for the food it is 100% recommended!

The food was pretty tasty. However, the portion size in relation to the price of the dish could be improved. I got the beef bulgogi, which included a small serving of sticky rice and some small sides like kimchi, bean sprouts, and a bit more, with a glass of coke. Including a small tip I paid about 25€. The staff was friendly and readily available if need be. The atmosphere isn't really something worth mentioning. I don't hate the place, but also wouldn't really recommend it.

Great food and everything but the fact that you have to order the same thing at Korean BBQ is stupid in my opinion. After all, it's just raw meat. We would have liked to have had a mixed plate of different ones but unfortunately that is not possible here. But otherwise it was very, very tasty.

Price is really exaggerated. A kimchi supper costs €16, but the portion is only enough for one child. We also ordered BBQ for 4 people but got maybe less than 500g of meat. Really fraud! Besides, everything was too sweet. I've never eaten broccoli candy before.

Had been recommended by local friends a few times and managed to have a dinner at the restaurant yesterday. The food was amazing. But the service was disgusting!!! We were served by a guy with long hair because he was the only one who could help English speaker customers. When we asked for some garlic and chilies for the BBQ, the guy didn’t only complaint that that’s the first time he was asked for this, but also cover his mouth to show that he thought that garlic is smelly. What’s the point? For the second time when we felt uncomfortable, he was trying to clean the table and we were trying to help to load the dishes simply just handing the glass to him (because he had been doing that for a long time!). He rudely pushed our hands away. We didn’t understand his intentions and don’t think we did anything that made him unhappy so we were treated this way. Bad experience and if you want to visit the restaurant, avoid that long hair server to make your day away from misery. Please train your employees properly before he is able to work in his job.

Delicious, delicious and delicious. If you like Korean, you will love it here. Quick preparation, everything fresh, the prices are absolutely great. We come from Chemnitz and were just visiting the city, we will come back next time we visit Nuremberg. Highly recommended!

On February 26, 2025, I visited the Seoul Kitchen restaurant with my Japanese class - an evening that was overall disappointing despite some culinary highlights. There were six of us and we started the evening with an appetizer each. For the main course we shared two BBQ dishes before finishing with a shared dessert. The taste of the food was okay, but unfortunately some pieces of meat on the BBQ were a bit tough. The general conditions contributed significantly to a less pleasant experience: Our table was right next to an extremely hot heater, which was particularly uncomfortable for my teacher, who was sitting right next to it. Since the staff couldn't regulate the temperature, we were forced to regularly tilt the window to cool down a bit. The service also left a lot to be desired in places - the staff seemed awkward in some situations, although they were generally friendly. The condition of the sanitary facilities was particularly negative: the toilets appeared unclean and there was a distinct smell of urine and chemicals, which further reinforced the already disappointing overall impression. The overall ambience of the restaurant was disappointingly simple, which, combined with a price of €46 per person, puts the price-performance ratio into question. In addition, the poor acoustic conditions made relaxed group conversation almost impossible. Another point of criticism were the metal chopsticks, which not only seemed unwieldy but also constantly slipped out of your hand. Overall, it turns out that the Seoul Kitchen is unconvincing with dishes that are rather middle-of-the-road in terms of taste, insufficient options for temperature regulation, a lack of service, a disappointing ambience and impractical eating utensils - especially for group visits where good acoustics are essential.

Delicious Korean food! Fried chicken was delicious! The ambience is rather average, you feel more like you are in a "normal" restaurant. The service was friendly, but with the number of orders it seemed chaotic.

I've noticed several times now that you can't eat in a relaxed manner. The waitress checks every 5 minutes to see how far you are with your food and sometimes takes filled glasses and side dishes with you. You can tell that she wants you to leave quickly because the next reservation is already waiting. It's a shame that you make a reservation and then are rushed. This means you can't enjoy the food and get a stomach ache.

It's very expensive, unfortunately nothing special - 2 grams of kimchi, 2 grams of cucumbers and rice, all in very small portions, and for such a high price! Dinner for two costs €90. The waiters urged us to eat faster, faster! Very uncomfortable.

We had dinner there on Thursday evening with 6 people and everyone enjoyed it very much. The service was also good and the food and starters were served quickly. However, the tables are very narrow and you sit quite close to your "neighbors". If a few other guests now order the "Korean BBQ", where they grill at the table, this creates a lot of smoke and unfortunately also a very unpleasant smell, especially if something burns, which was the case yesterday. We then had to pay quickly because the smoke hurt our throats. That's a shame, because we would have liked to sit there for a few drinks. You may want to check or improve the ventilation situation in the restaurant.

I had a wonderful evening at this Korean restaurant! The bulgogi was simply fantastic - the meat was marinated to perfection and served with a great selection of sides. You can immediately tell that a lot of care and high-quality ingredients are used here. The chef knows his craft. The starter, the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), was also a real highlight - the chicken was super juicy, crispy and perfectly marinated with the sweet and spicy chilli sauce. A must for anyone who loves Korean cuisine! A big compliment also goes to the service: the team was incredibly friendly and attentive. They took excellent care of us and always made sure that we didn't lack for anything. One small point of criticism, however, concerns the decor - it could be a little more modern or cozy to better emphasize the great food and service. However, that doesn't detract from the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff. I will definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Korean food!

Very tasty food - I think it's great that there is a Korean restaurant in Nuremberg, but I wonder why there aren't several. A little more choice for vegetarians would be great. The service is also very nice. I just don't think the ambience is that great. It is very sterile and uncomfortable; you don't want to sit there for long after eating. Unfortunately, you also have to wash all of your clothes once someone has ordered the barbecue in the restaurant.

We finally ate at Seoul Kitchen tonight, and it was great. The flavors are excellent, and it really takes you to Korea. High recommend the kimchi chigae and galbi.

An absolute delight! We had the Beef Bulgogi and it was simply incredibly delicious - the meat literally melts in your mouth. The side dishes (banchan) were excellent: the kimchi was perfectly seasoned, oi muchim (pickled cucumbers) fresh and crunchy, the pickled onions and spring onions incredibly aromatic, gamja salad (mashed potatoes with carrots, cucumbers etc.) tender and creamy, and gamja jorim (pickled potatoes) were a real hit. All together a culinary highlight! I'll definitely be back!

What a pity, the food is very good but the service is terrible. I had a reservation and had to wait a long time and from then on… the manners were simply not correct, neither when taking the order of a large table was there any patience, empathy or customer service. The last straw was when asking for the bill, it took them 30 minutes because only one waitress could enter the system (the waitress with the bad attitude), they charged more, and when I complained they were even ruder and disrespectful. Unfortunately, I will not go back.

Super tasty and above all authentic Korean food! Here we ate probably the best and tastiest bibimbap that you can find far and wide - except perhaps in Korea. A lot of Korean compatriots also come here to eat, which definitely speaks for itself. Reservations have always been a good option and I highly recommend it! The only decent dish out of the 5 dishes I ordered was the kimbap. Mandu was ok but could've been store bought because that's how generic it tasted. Bulgogi contained 25% beef at most and the rest, veggies. Japchae was the same. 25% noodles and the rest veggies. Korean Fried Chicken was the biggest disappointment. 25% of the KFC allegedly contained meat, the rest of the fried chunks were either breading, fat/skin, or cartilage. I am quite embarrassed as a Korean from Seoul to have experienced this meal.

No idea why it’s got over 4 stars. When ordering a meat dish there should be edible meat in it. Not mostly fat and veggies. Disappointed as this is not typical Korean. Only positive i can say was the kimchi and bonchon are on point die beste. Even the jap Che didn’t have any meat and hardly any noodles. Would not recommend to anyone.

Ordered Galbi platter for 4 people, got meat for 2-3 people (according to the waiter). Meat was reordered and 5 Galbi plates and another side dish were charged. Absolute no-go!

Food was very good, but way too expensive. There were four of us so we ordered the barbecue for four, but only got it for two. When we reordered, everything was added to our bill. In the end we paid €140 for 5 portions!! This is crazy! Ambience seems more like a canteen... It's a shame, but not a recommendation.

The food was very good, you can't say anything about it. I can't judge whether it's authentic or not. Unfortunately the whole place seemed a bit dingy, the corner seat where we were sitting was incredibly dirty, the cards were tattered and really unpleasant to touch. It's a shame, there really could have been more. The small amount of soy sauce in the starter was inappropriate, more is only available with a recipe?

After reading other reviews, I completely agreed and visited this place. I really sympathized with the feeling of steam rising when I opened the lid of the stainless steel rice bowl. Kimchi maintains the true traditional Korean taste, and pork belly also tastes exactly like Korea. Korean food was like a sweet treat during our two-week honeymoon. There is no shortage of traditional Korean flavors in Nuremberg.

Great food and service. Their bibimbap is one of my favorite dinner option in town. It feels very authentic. The one downside, you food will smell like barbecue if you stay inside.

50€ for 300g of pork belly and a few lettuce leaves can't be beaten in terms of audacity. Unfortunately not recommended!

It was a really fantastic evening. The food tastes very, very good and the service there makes you feel like you are in good hands.

Authentic Korean dishes. The service is just super friendly and accommodating. Really great. The food tastes very tasty and I have to particularly mention the vegetarian and vegan selection. There is something for everyone here. I would love to eat there again.

We were there with 4 people and ordered up and down the menu for 155 euros. Totally overpriced for the portions, ambience is a total failure. As if you were eating in the canteen, the room is like an old restaurant but not one of the most beautiful. We ordered the most expensive bbc, the most expensive of all, be careful, normal portion p.p. 25 euros, but you get meat, a handful of salad, onions, other small vegetable side dishes, so you had to put it together yourself and it was also way too spicy. So that everything just tasted the same. Unfortunately it remains a unique experience for us!! If you like Korean food, you should order something and test it at home because you can actually take the smell from the restaurant into the car, home and put it in the laundry basket as there is probably no ventilation. These are our impressions of the evening.

Delicious - best to reserve - bibimbap In the second generation, Korean food is served here that comes close to the experience of Korea. The two of us spontaneously got a place for the weekend (otherwise we urgently need a reservation!) and can particularly recommend the bibimbap - the hissing of the rice is an experience in itself.

The focus is to eat Korean food. The side dishes are free. In the past few days, I didn’t overcharge. I ordered Korean beef BBQ today for 43 euros in total. It comes with rice and side dishes. When I checked out, I added kimchi for 5.5 euros and the other 3 side dishes for 8.5 euros, which is simply outrageous. We are very angry. Over the past 8-9 years, we've come here many times. After a change in management, the flavor has changed a bit, but it's still acceptable. This week, we came here for dinner on a whim. The main reason we came was for Korean food, where side dishes are usually free. For the past few years, we were never charged extra for them. Today, we ordered Korean grilled beef for 43 euros, which came with rice and side dishes. However, when we went to pay, we were charged an additional 5.5 euros for kimchi and 8.5 euros for three other side dishes. It's simply outrageous. We are angry. In den letzten 8-9 Jahren waren wir hier viele Male. Nach einem Wechsel des Managements hat sich der Geschmack ein wenig verändert, aber es ist immer noch akzeptabel. dem die Beilagen normalerweise kostenlos sind. In den letzten Jahren wurden uns dafür nie zusätzliche Kosten berechnet. tzlich 5, 5 Euro für Kimchi and 8,5 Euro für drei weitere Beilagen berechnet. Das ist einfach unverschämt. Fui allí con mi mejor amiga y pedimos unos aperitivos, pero llegaron muy tarde y fue el orden equivocado a pesar de que lo dije repetidamente. Cuando les dije que nos dijeron en qué parte del error y que él preguntó, pero no le importó. Cuando por fin conseguimos nuestra comida se olvidó de traer un plato con el plato principal y la cuchara. Esto fue realmente una mala experiencia. Los trabajadores son mal tratados y no reciben propinas porque el dueño siempre recibe el cheque muy triste. En general los trabajadores son agradables allí, pero el propietario no lo es y realmente lo hizo una mala experiencia y también el servicio fue un 0 / 10 para mí. La comida es demasiado cara, te recomiendo que solo cocines comida coreana en casa en lugar de ir allí.

We have been here several times. The food is really delicious and is very close to what you can order in Korea. However, prices have risen significantly. An upward adjustment is understandable to a certain extent due to inflation and the economic situation. However, I was quite surprised when I received the bill. We had Korean BBQ among other things and asked for additional lettuce leaves to wrap the meat. We were then given about 5 or 6 lettuce leaves, which were charged at a whopping €3.50. To be honest, I find €3.50 for a handful of lettuce leaves quite excessive, which in retrospect makes me think a lot about the pricing at this restaurant.

When I travel to Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, I always stop by a Korean restaurant in each city to soothe my greasy stomach, and this one is by far the best. I also left a 10% tip and it wasn't a waste at all.

Hello. I used to give this restaurant a definite 5 because I really had nothing to complain about. However, the last visit was a disappointment, here are the reasons: -The four of us left over €120 and actually left hungry. We ordered the most expensive Korean BBQ for €25 per person. -We only received the cutlery upon request. -No napkins, we would have to get them ourselves from the neighboring table. -When we were asked about the quality of the service and were honest (and nice), there was just an awkward and uncomfortable silence; in principle, they simply didn't talk to us at all. -There were dishes piled up on the table and not cleared away. -I could mention a few little things, but I think it's already enough of a reason.

Zu kleine Portionen, man wird nicht satt. Servicequalität hat sich extrem verschlechtert. Teller und Flaschen wurden vom Tisch nicht abgeräumt. Besteck erst auf Nachfrage bekommen. Keine Servietten bekommen.

A really great experience and real Korean cuisine that wasn't available in Nuremberg before.

The BBQ portions are definitely small! There were 5 of us and we all had the same opinion. €28 per person for such a small portion and one drink per person is quite too much. The food was okay, I have to be honest.

Very cozy Korean restaurant where you just have to feel comfortable. Very attentive and friendly service, who are always there to give you advice if you don't know what to do next or have an extra request. I ordered the Dwaeji Bulgogi (which unfortunately there is no photo of because I simply forgot it - I was too hungry ;)), Kimchi and the Hotteok with ice cream. And it was just incredibly tasty and very authentic. We'll stop by again the next time we visit Nuremberg. :) Thanks for the great food!

The idea is good and the dishes are very authentic, but the implementation is not quite successful yet. Someone who has never tried Korean food will not really be able to find their way around the menu. It would be nice if there were pictures on the map or more information. And larger font is also desirable. I can highly recommend the Korean Fried Chicken. That tasted really good. I was, however, very disappointed with the drinks. Juices taste like cheap fruit juices from the supermarket that have been stretched to the maximum with water. If you're in the mood for Korean food in Nuremberg, you're welcome to try it here. Across Germany, there is better Asian food, especially for the price. Nevertheless, the staff tried very hard to make sure we had a nice evening. The staff were really very friendly and always asked about us.
