Delicious food. Friendly service. Not cheap but very good.

Too expensive for the quality... unfortunately there was a 40 minute wait for a Abfelstrurudel, there was a hair in the main course. That doesn't work at all. You talk to the service about it, but they largely ignore it. But otherwise ok

Unfortunately, the risotto was not made with risotto rice, but the taste was still fruity. The 3 small slices of goat cheese that were baked on top were from a discounter/supermarket and were manageable. The bratwursts with cabbage and potato salad are absolutely delicious and highly recommended. Franconian sausages were indicated and Nuremberg bratwursts were served. The apple strudel was from the freezer. The menu is well structured and beautifully designed. There is something for everyone here. I found the atmosphere in the dining room to be a bit cold. The background music is loud; we had difficulty conversing.

The portions are pleasantly large and visually appealing, and also delicious. Service is friendly and attentive. Overall, in my opinion, a clear recommendation.

Very nice restaurant, inconspicuous in a corner of Nuremberg. There is very nice seating both outside and inside. The staff is very friendly, you immediately feel at home. The food tastes very good and the price-performance ratio is right. Clean and modern toilets are also available, and there is also a changing rack for the very young guests. There are a few parking spaces in front of the door, but there are enough places to park along the street. We look forward to our next visit.

Yesterday we had dinner with the Schlemmerblock at Papa Walters and sat comfortably outside in the beer garden. Although people generally don't like to visit Fuggerstrasse unless they have to, Papa Walters is well isolated from the noise of the main street. About the food: My friend's burger was good and actually deserves 4-5 stars. However, my sauerbraten was full of fat and also very firm to the bite, which is something I'm not used to. Normally a sauerbraten is very tender and almost falls apart when you cut it. So unfortunately it was rather disappointing, even though it didn't taste bad. About the service: Unfortunately we had to wait half an hour for the drinks alone, which is a real shame on a day as warm as yesterday. When we paid, the waitress came with the card payment machine and didn't even say 'thank you' or finally 'bye'. Instead, after paying, she simply turned around to the next table and collected it, literally turning her back on us. The outside area was full, but there was only one other table inside, so I don't think the waitress was particularly stressed. All in all we probably wouldn't come back.

After Papa Walters was listed in the voucher book, we spontaneously stopped by for dinner. Normally you wouldn't necessarily pay a visit to this corner of Nuremberg, but it was definitely worth it. The restaurant has a small, cozy garden, and the interior is also attractively designed. Very attentive, friendly service, a clear menu (less is often more). The price-performance ratio was right and the food was very tasty (Frankenburger and Cordon Bleu). The fact that the beer price is slightly above average can be accepted despite all the positive things. Conclusion: Gladly again at any time!!

What can you say, it was the best decision to try this restaurant. Super nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and the Schäuferle was a dream. In general, all the dishes looked as if they had been prepared with love. Absolutely clear recommendation! Thanks to the whole team.

We found out about the restaurant through the Schlemmerblock and went there for dinner after work. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful courtyard and rooms. The service was very friendly and the food was very good.

Nettes, neues Restaurant, junge Besitzer, sehr freundlich, super leckeres Essen. Viele Einheimische, Gerichte sehr gut angerichtet. Preise gut, weil Qualität perfekt. Außenbereich mit Sonnenschirmen. Ruhige Seitenstraße. Zu Fuß vom Novina Hotel Tillypark gut zu ereichen.

The Papa Walters restaurant is close to the B&B Hotel where we stayed. That's why we went there and didn't regret it. This restaurant has an interesting menu that is not too extensive. Nevertheless, there was something for everyone. From traditional Franconian cuisine to vegetarian dishes to steaks and burgers, everything was there. When the food came, we were thrilled: not only was it beautifully prepared, but it also tasted excellent. The restaurant was very busy, which speaks for itself. It's probably good advice to reserve a table in advance.

Inconspicuously located but definitely worth a visit! We also became aware of the “Schlemmergutscheinheft” booklet. Online reservation worked perfectly. We were able to easily get a seat in the cozy beer garden on site. The taste of the food was excellent, everything was served very fresh and hot. The service was also extremely friendly and accommodating. Even larger groups were warmly welcomed that evening without any grumbling, as is sometimes the case in other restaurants. We'll definitely be back!

So I have to agree with the previous speakers... We were there for the first time today and were initially quite frustrated when I realized that I had forgotten my gourmet block at home... But nevertheless, of course we still wanted to meet convinced by the delicious food and we were really convinced. Unfortunately, the sauerbraten was no longer recognizable as individual slices (it had probably been cooked too long in advance, hence the star deduction), but the taste was still absolutely delicious. The burger was also really great. The only thing my friend was missing was some onions or tomatoes on the burger. With triple meat on the burger, some additional vegetables would actually have been quite good. The side salad impressed me the most, I have to say. Everything fresh, a little bit of everything, even fresh radishes and peppers! I've never had anything like this as a side dish in any restaurant. That deserves great praise. The service was also absolutely perfect, the staff was extremely friendly, you just feel completely at home. We'll definitely be back! There are also plenty of parking spaces on the street. You just have to walk a few steps, but that certainly didn't hurt anyone.

The visit couldn't have been better. We were there for my girlfriend's birthday and we made sure we had the best possible evening including champagne and of course outstanding food. In my opinion the best Franconian restaurant in the area.

And if the Schäufele is out at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, then that's it, then there's something else delicious. The service was super attentive and friendly and so were the other employees. We went to Papa Walters for the first time today and were totally thrilled. The welcome and service from the lovely service, the ambience from the original decoration and the absolutely impeccable food that left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos. But FYI: We had spare ribs, fillet of Argentinian beef and a chocolate soufflé for dessert. Everything on point and perfect. It couldn't be better. Will we come back here? There is still a menu hanging at the entrance that is not up to date. The fillet steak was recently a whole 3 euros cheaper, the sauerbraten costs 18.50 euros on the outside and 19.10 euros on the inside.

Hello, we had dinner at Papa Walters today and the food was ok for me. but unfortunately the price for the served portion / cordon bleu with dried tomatoes and basil is too high for me. The beer prices are very sporty. The service was nice and quick 😄 But try it yourself and make up your own mind.

We had gourmet block. That's why we came to the restaurant. We were very disappointed. Small room. Uncomfortable. We ordered dark beer and got Kellerbier. This is Franconian cuisine. But there are too few Franconian dishes. We ordered Franconian bratwurst with potato salad. We thought you couldn't go wrong. But we didn't get any potato salad. It was cold potatoes in a small bowl. There were onions on it. This isn't potato salad for us. Beer costs 4.90 euros and bratwurst with potato salad 11.90 euros. We cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.

The service could have been more attentive. The restaurant was full and one of the waiters was simply overwhelmed. Priced a bit too expensive for what is on offer. But the taste is quite good.

Ich war das letzte mal vor einigen Jahren in der Gastwirtschaft. Der zwischenzeitlich neue Pächter mit neuem Namen hat den Raum total verändert. Alles hell und geschmackvoll, fast designermäßig, neu eingerichtet. Ich war begeistert. Das Essen tatsächlich jeweils frisch zubereitet, geschmackvoll, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, relativ große Auswahl. Alle sehr freundlich. Da werde ich jetzt öfter auftauchen.
