This is a Turkish restaurant but you can also have alcoholic drinks. Food is good. A small negative point is that when groups order, the food comes cold. Very friendly staff.

The food was disappointing! The two stars are only there because the service is really good. Our marinated lamb was dry and tough. My grill skewer was also dry, not very seasoned and lacked grill flavors. The rice was cold in both dishes. Overall we were very disappointed. As compensation we received dessert and tea. That's why we got the 2nd star.

As we travel a lot and being big foodies, this place is good, a solid 4 stars. We got the mixed grill plate for 2 and a salad. See the photo. Good is ok! Nothing amazing. Over cooked lamb but chicken is amazing. Nice atmosphere and good service, they speak very little English

Supposedly an upscale, fine restaurant. Just because there are white tablecloths on the tables doesn't make it a fine restaurant. Waitress wears leggings in a “fine” restaurant They are nice until the customers have ordered, if at all. I can't recommend it. The food is nothing special. It's a shame about all that money. Won't come anymore. We could also observe how the owner was rude to the guests he received.

We arrived at the restaurant in a bad mood; it was also lightly raining outside. And we found ourselves in an atmosphere of cordiality and warmth. We were greeted like friends. Literally in front of us, the tablecloth on the table was replaced with the freshest white and starched one. I highlight this especially. We came with a small child, this did not bother anyone. On the contrary, other children were running around the hall, then we found out that these were the children of the staff. The children were also friendly and looked after our baby. They gave us a highchair for children right away, but our child categorically did not want to sit in it. As a result, he sat on an adult chair and stained the snow-white tablecloth in 10 seconds. (Apologies to the staff) The interior is elegant and at the same time cozy. The waiter joked with us a little, and the mood began to return. I ordered No. 507 Simit Kebabi. Veal and lamb. Very tasty, I must say that our 16-month-old boy ate half the portion with pleasure. The squid was soft, but I'm not a squid fan, so I won't rate it. My daughter ordered grilled chicken, and I also tried a piece of her dish. Basically, nothing special, the presentation was beautiful and served with rice. I will recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience and will definitely come here again.

There won't be a next time anyway. I actually wanted to go back straight away but my mother-in-law is just a do-gooder. 2. How cheeky to claim that I finished eating my plate?!?!?!? I ATE two small pieces of beyti and PICKED THROUGH THE RICE to find out if it was just a coincidence. 3. I didn't cancel the meal myself, but the waitress took the plate and wanted to bring me another meal, which I politely said no to because I didn't like it anyway. I didn't mention that I wanted the money back, but the waitress came back and said that I didn't have to pay for the food (BECAUSE THE PLATE WAS PROBABLY ALMOST UNTOUCHED).. Wow, lying so boldly is truly remarkable.

Very friendly and courteous staff. It was our first visit and we immediately felt like regular guests (family). Food was a perfect size and both the taste and doneness were on point! The yogurt sauce is second to none. The dessert didn't miss anything either. All in all a perfect evening and certainly not our last visit!

My first time in Sumach in Nuremberg on the recommendation of my Nuremberg colleague. Should actually be a good tip. First the good; A very inviting ambience with a great atmosphere on a high level. The food was visually very inviting but tasted way too salty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Recommended Very, very good in all respects

When we sat down we noticed that the windows weren't cleaned properly. Afterwards a man came and chatted at us even though my mother only asked one question. While he was still talking he screamed at my mother. The bread was completely dry. My friend and I didn't think the service was that good but it was okay. I wouldn't recommend the Sumach Special because it costs something like €25.90 per person and you can't order it individually, there has to be at least 2 people. When the food came it looked nice but what we didn't understand is that they put pistachios on almost every meal, for example on the rice and meat. There was little bread and rice for 3 people. What we also didn't understand was that potatoes came with the meal (in my opinion, potatoes don't belong on the grill) and that they put salad under the meat. You should actually put the salad individually on a plate. The food didn't taste that tasty, no salt at all, no nothing. After I ate I also found a small hair in my food and I know it's not mine because I have long hair. When I said that and looked at my plate, they said it was parsley, even though they were still looking with the flashlight. They didn't want to admit that I was right because they saw it. That was food, it's not real grilling, it's done on an electric grill because when a restaurant does it with a real grill you can taste it and the restaurant didn't smell like a real grill either. The restaurant is too expensive in my opinion and service, food was not good.

We came here via the gourmet block/coupon book. I've driven past many times and thought this would be something... finally we were there. Service was super nice and accommodating. The food came super quickly and was really, really tasty! Portions are large, so you'll feel full. It was nicely prepared and well seasoned. The atmosphere is also pleasant and modern. We will definitely come back! And then hopefully we can manage a dessert too 😉

I can recommend the restaurant with full conviction. The food was delicious (although some was spicier than expected) and there is also a good selection for vegetarians. A huge compliment also goes to the waitress, who gave us great advice and had a very friendly atmosphere. You could tell that she enjoys her job.

Great new discovery! There were 5 of us there with the gourmet block. Despite the gourmet block, friendly service, especially outstanding thanks to the young lady who was extremely friendly and attentive to the guest 🙏. The outdoor area has a view of Rosenaupark. You feel like you're in a little oasis in the middle of the Plärrer, which is actually a terrible place. Inside you can enjoy a very attractive and elegant atmosphere. Sometimes exceptional Turkish dishes, such as: the warm cucumber soup - a culinary delight. The only limitation was the prawns, which were prepared very oily. They are also a frozen product, which for me personally changes the taste and consistency to the detriment. For me, fresh scampi would be more consistent with the otherwise high-quality offering. But that's a matter of taste. Sometimes the flatbread was served warm and crispy, which I also find unusual, as I have never found the soft and "flabby" flatbread very tasty, but unfortunately it is usually offered that way. For me that would be an enjoyable addition if the flatbreads were generally served warm and crispy. But otherwise just a wonderful place with friendly people and a delicious and exceptional range of food. We will come back! 😋
