Sen Vegan Cuisine in Düsseldorf

I can't say much about the local restaurant, as I mostly order from here and it's been a while since I last ate there. The food I order is always delicious, and this restaurant has now become my number one place to order! The value for money is excellent, and delivery is usually faster than expected, and the food is super fresh! (I especially highly recommend the fried sushi!) I'm so happy that there's such a great restaurant here in Düsseldorf!

As soon as you entered, you were greeted by a smell of rancid grease. The food was bland, but nicely presented. The fried food had a distinct aftertaste of oxidized oil and was definitely not well seasoned. Additionally, the entrance door was repeatedly closed whenever you wanted some fresh air because the smell was unpleasant. It's a shame. I hope they can save this restaurant, but a lot of things need to change.

We ordered today and will never order again. Tasteless and boring food. We even threw a couple of appetizers straight into the trash because they weren't that tasty.

We had a wonderful meal at Sen! The two of us had two appetizers, a sushi menu, and ice cream for dessert. It was a Wednesday evening, and because it wasn't very busy, we were allowed to bring our dog. We started with Kungfu Love (dough pockets with tofu, vegetables, and rice noodles) and Saigon Night (veggie pork in a delicious batter). Delicious! Then we had the Happy Time sushi menu. True taste sensations. And coconut ice cream for dessert. Deliciously sweet, with delicious grated coconut. We each had a drink. We spent less than €45. Highly recommended!!!

Passing by the area, we decided to go inside. The employees were behind the counters, asking if we could have dinner. We were told they were closing because it was 9:50 p.m. and they close at 10 p.m. We were told they could get us takeout. An employee who spoke a little French came to help us because he saw that our English wasn't going well with his colleague. So we ate on their outdoor terrace after closing time.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Düsseldorf! The value for money is unbeatable, and the food is simply delicious and lovingly prepared. The restaurant also has a cute interior, and you can sit outside at wooden tables and benches right by the street. I really like it there; it's not super fancy, but that's not the reason you go to a restaurant. I highly recommend SEN!

Not only did we enjoy an extremely delicious starter and sushi meal here, but we also left feeling very full. The many starters and sushi menus are perfect for sharing. A great vegan restaurant that should offer something for everyone, regardless of their diet.

It is not the first time in this place for us, but I need to separately call out great teas that they have. The cups are very big and they go with the ingredients described. Check the photos: green tea with actual rose buds floating in the cup. Ginger and lemon grass tea - also highly recommend. The food selection is very good, I like the veggie-sushi’s they have, but soups are great too. And the spring rolls with rice paper are good. A nice atmosphere and very friendly and attentive service.

The food was delicious. The dumplings and fried sushi, in particular, are highly recommended. The drinks were also delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The value for money is absolutely spot on.

My girlfriend really wanted to eat here and I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted very good and I would come again.

I've been here several times and the food always tastes good to me and my friends. The service was and still is greatly improved. After the order has been taken, the service comes to the table exactly one more time - to bring the drinks and food. After that, no one comes by to clear the table or ask if you would like to order another drink or dessert. If you don't proactively get up as a guest and go to the front of the counter, nothing will happen. And that has been the case for several years. It's a shame, because with more attentive service you would definitely feel even more comfortable and come more often.

Sweet place. Unfortunately our food was very unseasoned and we had to ask the waiter for spices so we could season it ourselves. Otherwise recommended.

Tofu felt and tasted exactly like a kitchen sponge, I have NEVER tried such badly made tofu. Sushi was pretty, but flavorless. The crunchy ones were okay, the rest I didn’t want to finish. Please at least give us a bottle of soy sauce to add some flavor. The place is cute, and the waitresses were nice.

So somehow I have the feeling that wherever I go the food somehow gets worse. I thought it was incredibly good where the store opened, but now I would only give it three stars. Sushi just tastes boring

It was my first time eating there and I have to say that I'm not a vegan, but I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was and how well my stomach tolerated it. Had several starters. Unfortunately, the edamame were too unsalted and have been eaten much better elsewhere, but everything else was very tasty. The fried dumplings were delicious as well as the cooked ones. My friends' bowls were also very tasty, as were the soup and sushi. Service is friendly but a bit slow and difficult to understand but overall we really liked it.

Very tasty, very varied. We were very satisfied and had a large bowl and a starter, which was almost too much - but both were very good! Card payment possible, that is also important 😄

This vegan Japanese is amazing! The place is beautiful, full of plants that give it a very special and cozy touch. The food is simply spectacular, with bowls that are finger-licking good. My personal recommendations are the Kunfu Love and Endless Love starters, you can't miss them! A perfect place to enjoy unique flavors in a relaxing atmosphere.

Only vegan menu between Asian bowls and sushi as well as some starters. Food was good, but not outstanding. The service could have been more attentive. Prices are very reasonable. There are a few seats outside, but the inside is quite large.

disappointing. Starter (Red Magic) was bland and without consistency. The main course (Golden Lotus) should have been a rice noodle soup with vegetable broth, but it only tasted like warm water. The homemade wontons were OK. Unfortunately, mostly disappointing and very tasteless. Service inattentive and privately busy. The service is always very friendly and the food (especially the sushi!!) is really, really good. It is by far the best sushi I have ever eaten. The starters are also very tasty and it is very nice that there are also more special juices and not just standard drinks. I can really only recommend the restaurant completely. :)

Long live a restaurant where vegan friends don't have to worry! The summer roll was a bit bland, but the rest made up for it. Enjoy it and be happy for animal welfare.

Gelle curry which you cannot call curry. More soup with vegetables and a bowl of rice on the side. Completely messed up my digestive system. The only really tasty one is fried banana.

By far the worst Restaurant in Düsseldorf. The food just tastes inedible. It was all soggy and absolutely overpriced and disgusting for such poor quality. Never eaten such a bad “bowl” for €16. The bowl was swimming in soy sauce and the owner was not accommodating and didn't want to refund the money. My wife is pregnant and allergic to soy sauce and no soy sauce was mentioned in the description!! See photo, this is not a bowl! I strongly advise against this shop, I ate the food because my wife couldn't eat it and after 10 minutes I'm already feeling sick and thinking about calling the health department tomorrow!!

We ate on site, the food tasted great, but the service was very bad (at least on that day). Forgotten order, wrong order brought, no clearing, no chance to place further orders after the meal. Unfortunately not the only table.

The food itself was really delicious! However, the best food is of no use if you are completely ignored by the waitress. We were there for 3 1/2 hours and we didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink or a dessert, etc. The lady serving there would be more suitable for a 'Karen's Diner'

Very cozy, nicely decorated restaurant where all dishes are vegan. The food tasted good, but there could be a little more variation within the different dishes (e.g. the bowls). But I will definitely recommend it and come back!

The meal was really a great experience. We found everything extremely tasty, especially the starters (Crunchy Avocado Wedges, Endless Love) and sushi platters (Wild, Happy Time). The ambience is also recommended, stylishly furnished and cozy. We only searched in vain for the service that evening to reorder and pay. Still had a great evening with you!

When I stopped to eat there, the first thing that impressed me was that the restaurant was beautifully decorated, clean, and the staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. 2 is a very eye-catching decorated dish, very beautifully presented, I ordered 5 dishes and every dish was delicious, the vegetables were fresh and clean, the water was also very good, 10 points. There's really nothing to criticize. You should come and enjoy it. Being a vegetarian, I am so pleased to find a delicious restaurant like this ♥️

The price-performance ratio at Sen is very good and therefore worth a visit. The food is very tasty and beautifully presented. The service did not correspond to the culinary level mentioned above; after the order was taken, further orders were only taken upon request from us. The atmosphere is relaxed. You should not wear stylish, good clothes as they will smell strongly of the food after visiting a restaurant. We will still be happy to come back.

Sticky tables, sloppy service, no papaya in the papaya salad. But the taste is otherwise okay. If you don't value ambience, you can do it. Unfortunately, when I asked what the papaya salad would be like, there was only a shrug of the shoulders

We went there for lunch late on a Saturday. The service didn't work at all. Neither attentive nor friendly. Here you got the feeling that you didn't want any more guests 75 minutes before lunch break. There were no explanations or recommendations regarding the courts. As a newbie vegan, I would have liked more advice. Without my girlfriend, who had already eaten there, I would have left again. The food itself was very tasty and plentiful. The ambience is dark and old-fashioned. A basic cleaning is urgently necessary. Maybe I want it to be a vegan restaurant but I want to eat without spiders.

Ich kann mich nur anschließen, schlechte Bedienung. Kaputte Teller, unter den Süßkartoffelpommes, waren Reste vom Vorgänger, sprich Salat.

Das Essen hat super lange gedauert obwohl kaum jemand im Laden war. Es hat trotzdem ganz ok geschmeckt. Wir kommen das dritte mal her. Die Bedienung (anscheinend neu) war nett, doch der kleine junge Typ hinter der Theke (scheint das Sagen zu haben) ist maximal unfreundlich und man hat das Gefühl als würde man es ihm nicht recht machen z.B. bei Sonderwünschen. Er lästert über andere Gäste, auch wenn man es mitbekommt (geht garnicht). Sehr unangenehmes Gefühl. Das Ambiente wäre schön, wenn nicht soviel unnützes Zeug da rumstehen würde. Die Mooswand und die Pflanzen sind vertrocknet. Einladend ist es hier nicht. Aktuell leider überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir waren zu siebt verbredet. Leider war der Service mit den Bestellungen stark überfordert, obwohl nur drei Tische besetzt waren. Es dauerte sehr lange und es wurden Gerichte vertauscht. Erst als der Restaurantchef eingriff klappte es. Der Raum war nur wenig beheizt. Jetzt das Positive: Die Gerichte waren alle sehr schmackhaft, frisch und lekker. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Leider ist das Restaurant nicht behindertengerecht, da sich eine Stufe am Eingang befindet. Ein Hund darf nicht mitgenommen werden. Beim nächsten Anlauf mussten wir ewig auf den Kellner warten, die Bedienung war nur mäßig an den Kunden interessiert. Wir hatten während des Aufenthalts konstant den Geruch nach frittiertem in der Nase, zuhause musste die Kleidung sofort in den Wäschekorb. Das Essen war gut und hat geschmeckt. Ob Glutamat im Spiel war, kann ich nicht sagen.

Sehr leckere und komplett vegane Gerichte. Wir haben uns für eine Sushiplatte (Happy Time), Suppe (Yummy Soup) und Dumplings (Endless Love) entschieden. Alles war super lecker, die Suppe war recht pikant. Zu empfehlen sind auch die hausgemachten Limonaden. Der Service war freundlich, allerdings ein wenig gemütlich. ;) Wir kommen gern wieder.

Super leckeres Essen! Das beste vegane Restaurant, welches ich je besucht habe. Kein Standard veganes Essen, alles sehr gut abgestimmt. Der Service könnte etwas mehr auf Zack sein, wenns voller ist wartet man schonmal länger.

Schrecklicher Service, Mitarbeiter weigerte sich, den richtigen Zeitpunkt für die Lieferung zu kommunizieren, weigerte sich, die Verzögerung zu erklären. Die Bestellung wurde immer wieder verschoben, bis sie nach 100 Minuten ankam. Das Essen ist großartig, aber der Service und die Aufmerksamkeit für Ihre zurückkehrenden Kunden ist wirklich schlecht.

Nettes Restaurant. Das Essen bestand aus frischen und knackigen Zutaten. Toll auch, dass alles vegan ist und man nicht darauf achten muss, was überall enthalten ist sondern einfach das bestellen kann, was sich gut anhört.

Essen war super. Allerdings mussten wir draußen im Kalten sitzen, weil das Restaurant vierbeinige Familienmitglieder nicht reinlässt. :-( Passt nicht zum ansonsten tierfreundlichen veganen Konzept!

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, ein ausschließlich veganes Restaurant zu besuchen, das nicht nur durch seine köstlichen Gerichte überzeugte, sondern auch durch den freundlichen Service und die kinderfreundliche Atmosphäre. Die Gerichte, die ausschließlich aus pflanzlichen Zutaten hergestellt wurden, waren unglaublich und unfassbar lecker. Jedes Gericht war sorgfältig zubereitet und präsentierte die Vielfalt und den Reichtum der veganen Küche auf beeindruckende Weise. Die Aromen waren intensiv, aber ausgewogen, und die Texturen waren perfekt - ein wahrer Genuss für den Gaumen. Was den Service betrifft, so war das Personal stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie waren immer bereit, Fragen zu beantworten und Empfehlungen zu geben, was die Auswahl der Gerichte erleichterte. Insgesamt war unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant ein wundervolles Erlebnis. Es ist ein Ort, den ich jedem empfehlen würde, der einen Einblick in die faszinierende Welt der veganen Küche erhalten möchte, ohne dabei auf Geschmack oder Qualität zu verzichten.

Wir haben das Sen Vegan immer sehr gerne wegen der leckeren Sushi besucht. Der Service war damals leider eine Katastrophe, aber die neuen Mitarbeiter sind nun wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Jetzt kommen wir gerne öfters!

Ich habe zum ersten Mal ein veganes Restaurant ausprobiert da ich bekennender Fleisch Esser bin 🤣😉 ich war richtig überrascht wie toll veganes Essen schmecken kann. Noch dazu super angerichtet und man kann sehen uns schmecken wie viel Mühe in den Speisen (und auch Getränke wie Tee) steckt. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und gemütlich, es strahlt sehr viel Ruhe aus. Ich kann es nur empfehlen 😁👍👍

Das Essen war okay. Hier und da etwas mehr Gewürz wäre hilfreich. Das ganze war fad. Das Bier war warm und ging am Abend aus. (Wir haben nicht viel getrunken) Die Cocktails waren gut. Das Personal war manchmal überfordert, obwohl der Laden nicht voll war. Schade das war schon besser.

Servicekatastrophe! Es kann wirklich nicht sein, dass drei Kellner in einem leeren Restaurant (insgesamt waren vier Tische belegt) für zwei Getränke eine halbe Stunde brauchen und sich stattdessen vor allen Gästen unterhalten. Die Arbeitsmoral und das Bedürfnis, den Gästen ein schönes Erlebnis zu bieten stehen hier offenbar an unterster Stelle. Getoppt wurde der Besuch mit zwei nach Seife schmeckenden Limonaden (vermutlich weil die Limetten zu sehr zerstoßen wurde). Bei Reklamation dieser kam nur ein „liegt am Tonic Water“ zurück. Nachdem wir entgegneten, dass wir wohl wissen, wie Tonic Water schmeckt, verließ der Kellner den Tisch ohne ein weiteres Wort (natürlich mussten wir trotzdem den vollen Preis zahlen und erhielten auch keinen Ersatz). Während des gesamten Besuchs wurden wir kein einziges Mal gefragt, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten oder einen Nachtisch haben möchten. Auch wurden wir in keiner Weise gefragt, ob wir zufrieden sind. Die Gastzufriedenheit scheint hier schlicht egal zu sein. Im Ergebnis wirklich ein unterirdisches Erlebnis, das allein durch den Service so schlecht wurde.

Seems like the place changed of owner/managenent to non asian. The food was amazing as always, they seem to have kept the same cook. Vietnamese coffee is very simple to make, but this time they changed or lost the recipe and gave us some horrible water with no taste at all and they put vegan heavy cream on it (instead of sweet condensed milk), making it all lumpy and honestly, non edible. When paying, we mentioned to the cashier at the Kasse and he excused saying they were short on one waiter and he didnt have the recipe. How difficul could it be to make coffee with condensed milk? Just 2 ingredients. Did only 1 waiter in the whole restaurant knew how to make the coffee? Ridiculous. For 4.9€, this honestly deserved at least an apology, not an excuse. No wonder all recent reviews have been bad and mentioning this new staff/management. What a disgrace for a place that used to be such an oasis of quality.

Das Essen war wie immer super, aber zum ersten Mal habe ich mich überhaupt nicht wohlgefühlt. Dank zwei proletarischen Servicemitarbeitern im Fußballtrikot, die anscheinend lieber in einer Shishabar arbeiten würden und ihre aggressive Musik (über Spotify Nicht-Premium mit Werbung!) viel zu laut im ganzen Lokal laufen ließen, was weder zum Ambiente noch zum Essen passte. Zudem konnte nur bar bezahlt werden, obwohl es an der Tür anders steht. Das hat schon sehr ein Geschmäckle. Werde so schnell wohl nicht mehr dort hingehen.

Super Leckeres Essen, jedoch ist der Service leider sehr schlecht. Die Personen scheinen sich nicht dafür zu Interessieren und vergessen Bestellungen. Bis wir unsere Getränke hatten sind ca. 40min vergangen. Dennoch für das super leckere Essen kommen wir immer wieder.

Hier gibt es sehr leckeres Veganes Essen 🌱!!

Ich esse sehr gerne dort, ist mal was anderes und lecker. Asiatisch, kreativ. Je nachdem was man nimmt finde ich die Preise aber etwas zu hoch (Beispiel Udon-Nudeln mit etwas Gemüse 13,90). Besuche es trotzdem ab und an :)
