Seerestaurant in Konstanz

We were looking forward to the game menu, which started on October 12th, 2024, and drove to Konstanz especially for this. Unfortunately there was only 1 main course and 1 starter on the game menu. The deer was good but the side dishes were not worthy of a game menu. A small portion of red cabbage and some pressed potatoes in a slice for €42. The salad beforehand was good, but the chestnut cake was very dry and not very tasty. All in all, a very sad conclusion for a restaurant in this price range! Would not recommend the restaurant as the service staff did not respond to feedback about the food and accepted it without comment.

Very nice restaurant. An early reservation is worthwhile. We had such a beautiful table “by the water”. Excellent cuisine, nice wines, nice service.

The service was very friendly and on point. The food also tasted good and the view of Lake Constance is really beautiful when the weather is good. We can recommend eating here.

Great atmosphere right on the lake, the quality of the food was great.

The location is excellent. Unfortunately, the service was more trying than skillful, and the food itself only got 2 stars. Fish hard and well cooked, the beef fillets mini and well cooked. Asparagus in an asparagus salad without a bite. You pay for the location and the view, the food is mediocre.

Extremely unprofessional outside. I wanted to enjoy a drink there with my companion when the weather was nice (unfortunately the beer garden was closed) and we were simply ignored by the employees. A Schicki-Micki couple who arrived long after us were immediately given the menu and shortly afterwards the drinks. After 30 minutes we got tired of it and left again. A bit embarrassing when you're too fancy to serve paying guests. You can also drink champagne elsewhere.

Sugar instead of salt on the fries - the icing on the cake of the problems in the restaurant Unfortunately, as a larger group we had a bad experience on the lakeside terrace of the Steigenberger in Konstanz. The location and how the table was set was good, plus the event organization The service was very mixed and afterwards they apologized by saying that only temporary workers and trainees worked today. We had a test meal where the portions were significantly larger than what we got on the day itself. You are aware of this, but why do you have a rehearsal dinner if everything is ultimately different (we also paid for this). This almost feels like “cheating” on the guest. The fries came with sugar instead of salt, very embarrassing for a “renowned” kitchen. Opened water bottles were cleared away and new ones were added, which can also increase the bill. The bill didn't add up and too much food was charged. In the end we got a very small credit for the meal, but there are by far better restaurants in Konstanz that differ significantly from Steigenberger in terms of service and food. .

Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr unfreudlich, wir waren wegen unserer Bekleidung nicht willkommen. Wir Erwachsene haben aus diesem Grund verzichtet die Hauptspeise in diesem Restaurant zu essen. I'm bitterly disappointed with the outcome of my reservation.I booked in advance & also telephoned to explain that 2 out of the 5 had specific dietary needs.One of the party has a coeliac medical condition,there were only 3 options on the menu - but not only that,when asked why the fish wasn't gluten free,we were told it's because of the risotto that it is served with, but the risotto main dish on the menu is gluten free! How can this be?The couscous dish was described as gluten free, but couscous is made of wheat? This confusion, made us very unsure of the capability & understanding of the restaurant to cater for this dietary need.Another of our party is vegan, she had 2 options in the menu, salad 1 & salad 2. How can there be no warm option for a vegan?I'd telephoned in the morning to confirm that they could cater for the guests,I was told it's no problem.While there,we were only give 2 menu cards to share between 5 people. We ordered 2 bottles of water & after speaking with our waitress we decided that the evening was doomed & we decided to leave.We had to pay for the waters, 19€ which were open, 1 bottle not even started. I was embarrassed,wasn't the celebration evening planned

This restaurant is overpriced for what it offers and delivers. We ordered their asperge soup. This was served in a very small cup and was very waterly without much taste, except for the few pieces of asperges. My wife ordered a goat cheese salad, whereby the goatcheese was dry and had clearly been baked on a plate that was also used to prepare meat, while they were aware we are vegetarians. I ordered from their menu the aspergus dish with potatoes, without the salmon. Unfortunately, the asperges were not well prepared, and about a third were not ready to be eaten as they were hard and uncooked. It was likely that part should have been cut off before serving. After this disappointing experience we decided not to take any dessert. On a good note, the service was fine and appropriate. Unless there is a major revamp in their offerings, including a new competent team, we would recommend avoiding this restaurant.

Food is not good and overpriced.

Wir waren dort zum Mittagessen und haben einen schönen. Tisch auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick bekommen. Wir hatten uns schon auf ein tolles Essen gefreut und wurden aber dann schwer enttäuscht. Ravioli mit Pilzen kamen in einen Teller wo man die drei Pfifferlinge mit der Lupe suchen musste ( und das für 25 Euro ).Der Zwiebelrostbraten kam statt Medium eher Well Done und die Beilagen waren nicht eines Zwiebelrostbraten würdig. Auch hier für 45 Euro eine herbe Enttäuschung.Auch die Getränkepreise für Wasser und Wein eher sehr teuer. Das Beste war die Aussicht und die Bedienung, wir werden hier nicht nochmal essen gehen.

Tisch war schriftlich reserviert, aber natürlich nicht verfügbar. Erst nach langen hin und her haben ich dann einen Tisch erhalten, Terrasse war nur zu ca 70% belegt. Vor 12:00 kein Einlass, ich durfte 15 Minuten im der prallen Sonne warten, Schirme im Wartebereich konnten natürlich nicht geöffnet werden, bei 34 Grad. Essen preislich am oberen Ende und mittelmäßig. Blick auf den see grandios.

War mal ein aussergewöhnlicher Ort. Heute nur noch teuer mit sehr schlechtem Service. Einziger Grund noch dort hinzugehen ist die Lage, aber auf keinen Fall das Essen oder der Service. Schade.

selbst der eine Punkt ist zuviel. Essen war fast ungeniessbar. Zwiebelrostbraten blutig statt wie bestellt Medium rare und voller Knorpel und Sehnen für sage und schreibe € 45

I can’t give a review of the other dishes but I had a Massman curry with chicken at almost €30 and it was awful. Anyone who has had a real Massaman curry would not have recognised the sludge that appeared with a taste that was nowhere near what a real curry should be. My husband ordered pasta which also was over priced and mediocre at best. Such a shame.

Feines Restaurant, sehr aufmerksames Personal, gute Weinkarte, schöner Ausblick.

Gute Küche, sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und eine tolle Aussicht auf den Bodensee.

A good meal in a great location.

Netter Service, gutes Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr schöner Ausblick auf den Bodensee. Geschmacklich hat alles gepasst und war der Preisklasse entsprechend. Man sollte vorher reservieren.

Das Lokal ist immer fein und wir hatten da einen herrlichen Nachmittag. Die Sitzgelegenheiten sind sehr angenehm und den Abstand zwischen den Plätzen finde ich besonders angemessen. Dort bekommt man gewiss nicht das Gefühl, wie Sardinen in der Dose Abend zu dinieren. Der Kellner hat flott, gepflegt und freundlich gearbeitet. Ich wollte den Dessert meist gar nicht mehr mit meinem Gefolge teilen. Unsereiner haben etwas daraus gelernt und werden beim nächsten Besuch pro Person eine Nachtisch bestellen.

Sehr schöne Location, mit toller Aussicht. Leider war es das auch schon. Service sowie Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis absolut nicht stimmig. Einmal und nie wieder.

Mittagessen auf der spektakulären Terrasse:unser Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.Die Tom Kha Gai Suppe und das Thymianrisotto mit Spargel waren sehr lecker. Die Penne mit Chorizo und Garnelen - lecker aber die Penne etwas zu lang gekocht. Das Dessert Kirschwasserbömble ausgezeichnet. Ein sehr schöner, entspannter Aufenthalt!

Man isst ordentlich in diesem Restaurant mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf den Bodensee, wenngleich die Küche nicht die Finesse des Riva Seerestaurants aufweist. Die Preise erscheinen zu hoch; Konstanz ist ein teures Pflaster. (Auch preislich ist das bessere Riva günstiger !) Absolut unangemessen ist, dass man trotz teurem Mittagessen für ca 2-3 Stunden € 4.50 für den Parkplatz bezahlen muss (regulärer Preis € 9.-- !!).

In diesem Restaurant kann man erst ab 2 Uhr Eis essen. Davor bekommt man dort nur Mittagessen. Wann es was zu Essen gibt, ist dort nach einem festem Plan eingeteilt (z.B. bis 14:00 Uhr Mittag, bis 17:00 Uhr Kaffee und Kuchen).
