Seefeld in Frankfurt am Main

A very nice restaurant in Frankfurt that is also suitable for groups of around 12 people. We were here for a birthday and were more than satisfied with the food and service. Adults and children were always treated politely and courteously. Food and drinks are one to two euros more expensive, but the taste and quality are excellent. No matter whether it was schnitzel (straw pig and veal), fries, Kaiserburger, Kaiserschmarrn, ice cream or chocolate cake, everything was very tasty. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. Very child friendly!

Overall, a good restaurant where you can have a wonderful meal. The staff and waiters are very very nice! The prices are a little bit too high and the Kaiserschmarrn unfortunately didn't taste very good. Nevertheless, I can absolutely recommend this restaurant!

I ordered burgers, unfortunately the meat wasn't juicy, the fries were so dry, I told the waitress that the fries were dry and she didn't respond, in the end the fries were hardly eaten, just a waste of money.

I wanted to pre-order a schnitzel by phone, but no one answered - instead the answering machine was on. So I went there in person, only to be told briefly and emotionlessly by the waiter that there was no takeaway food available on the weekend. This information could have easily been communicated in the announcement or on the website, as it is common practice in many restaurants to offer take-away food - after all, this is also possible here during the week. When I explained that it was just a schnitzel for my pregnant wife, the waiter showed no understanding or accommodation. It was already 9:00 p.m., and in my opinion most of the guests had already received their food or had finished it - so it would have been easily possible to prepare a schnitzel. This lack of flexibility and the indifferent treatment of guests was really disappointing!

The kitchen does a great job, great craftsmanship. The food not only looked great, it tasted intense and fabulous. Huge and suitable selection of drinks, a harmonious atmosphere for new Tyrolean cuisine. The service team was friendly and tried hard, but still needs to get used to it. Next time we would prefer a table in the back area, the cold draft was often present at the front, despite the curtain and 2 doors - it was more due to the guests' handling.

We had dinner with friends in Seefeld today. The food was great again! Unfortunately the service was not convincing. There was a lack of hospitality. It's a shame, because this is an important part of feeling good.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend im Seefeld. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und ausreichend. Die Geräuschkulisse war an diesem Abend etwas lauter, aber eine Unterhaltung am Tisch war weiterhin uneingeschränkt möglich. Es wird nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.

Erster Besuch dort. Sehr netter Service, aufgrund des Betriebs am Freitagabend manchmal kleiner Verzug, aber gut zu verschmerzen. Essen sehr lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Sonderkarte hängt nur an der Wand. Wenn man hinten sitzt, kann man nichts davon lesen. Der Service sagt nichts dazu. Das Cordon Bleu hat mich getröstet. Nächstes Mal bin ich schlauer.

This is a restaurant where you can eat Austrian food. There were different types of schnitzel, including veal, pork, and cheese. The accompanying mushroom sauce and cucumber salad were also delicious. The dessert Kaiserschmann was also delicious.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and the portions were very good. What wasn't my cup of tea was the fry soup. A very strong beef broth. This was too intense for me. The Wiener Schnitzel (men's portion) was very large. You think 200 grams isn't much. But you have to do that first. Kaiserschmarren was also very tasty and sufficient as a dessert for two.

Great evening, we ate really well, the decoration was cozy and a bit rustic as it should be, service was good but could possibly make more sales with the drinks if they came back every now and then, all in all a big recommendation!

Terrible service, 45 mins to place an order, ordered wine, never came. Unfriendly waiter, waitress just plain ignored me. Food was good but service atrocious. Would have ordered desert but the service was not worth it.

In der Vorweihnachtszeit leider etwas überfordert gewesen im Service. Aber sehr freundlich. Tatar war leider noch etwas „sehnig“, das sollte auf diesem Niveau eigentlich nicht vorkommen. Schnitzel war sehr lecker, mit fast 40€ allerdings auch ordentlich bepreist. Bekommt von mir bestimmt noch mal eine Chance.

Wir waren jetzt zum 2. Mal hier, werden aber nicht wiederkommen. Das Essen war leider mittelmäßig. Der Speckknödel war völlig versalzen, der Kaspressknödel so stark angebraten, dass man ihn nicht mal mehr schneiden konnte (oder vielleicht war das Messer auch zu stumpf?), das Cordon Bleu mehr als trocken und die Käsespätzle ohne jeden Geschmack. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, konnte dann aber das Essen auch nicht wett machen. Es gibt definitiv bessere Restaurants mit österreichischem Einschlag in Frankfurt. Schade..

Desafortunadamente salimos de este lugar. Basamos nuestra agenda de todo el día cenando aquí porque tenía muchas ganas de tener mis platos austriacos favoritos. Nuestra reserva era para las 5 de la tarde, nos apresuramos para no llegar tarde. Al entrar en un restaurante completamente vacío (eran solo las 5 pm) y esperar a que alguien nos sentara, mi esposo y yo bromeamos diciendo que la diminuta mesa justo al lado de la puerta principal, donde estábamos esperando y de pie sería nuestra! Ha. Ha. Eso es exactamente donde querían sentarnos. Increíble. El lugar estaba vacío. Sí, era la temporada de vacaciones y se esperaban fiestas más grandes, pero había varias otras mesitas que nos podrían haber dado. Nos dijeron que podríamos tener otra mesa de 2 personas (solo la segunda peor mesa del lugar), pero probablemente tendríamos que salir en una hora. Nos fuimos y comimos en el mercado de Navidad después de vestirnos y esperar una buena comida austriaca.

We were warmly welcomed and served.

When we arrived, our table was ready and we were immediately seated. Our server was wonderful and although he had many guests to attend to, he took his time to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is rustic cottage and super cozy. Dinner salad was beautifully presented and a must to order. My guest had warm goat cheese with his salad, enough to share. The entrees were authentic Austrian fare with generous portions. Would definitely return and recommend.

Great Austrian with authentic cuisine and a cozy atmosphere. Addendum (December 6th, 2024): Still super tasty, but... side dish exchange fee of €1.90 for changing from fried potatoes to spaetzle (both a la carte) while placing the order is unreasonable. For what reason?

Visited 11/24. Online menu accessed 11/24, was dated 09/23. There is a new menu in the restaurant as of 06/24. Result: Prices up about 10%, quantities down exactly 20%. E.g. Schnitzel previously 100g/200g for 31.90 euros, currently 80g/160g for 34.90 euros for a large portion. The taste was still good, but the portions were manageable, certainly not justified for the price. Kaiserschmarrn was more cake than egg dish. Overall impression: too expensive, too little, savings are made, quantity and quality reduced. Service is poor.

Great food! After the delicious main courses, the four of us tried the Kaiserschmarrn, which was to die for. Very friendly and attentive staff.

At this time of year the goose was a poem. The best quality there is in the area. Wild goulash is highly recommended.

The Wild Gröstl was selected from a fairly clear map. It was very tasty, but the size was a bit small. It was similar with the other dishes in terms of value for money. Service was very nice, you can't say anything. We also sat nicely.

Nordendzuschlag inklusive. Fast 40 Euro für ein Wiener Kalbsschnitzel waren schon saftig. Ansonsten aber alles lecker und großzügig.

Very tasty food with both meat and vegetarian cuisine, the waiter was very friendly and welcoming, we had made a reservation, the group was then larger, with a lot of friendliness we were given another table, a very successful evening.

Freundliches Personal und nette Atmosphäre. Essen war lecker und die Portionen waren sehr gut. Was nicht so mein Fall war, war die Frittatensuppe. Eine sehr kräftige Rinderbrühe. Diese war mir zu intensiv. Das Wiener Schnitzel (Herrenportion) war sehr groß. Man denkt 200 Gramm ist nicht viel. Aber dass muss man erstmal schaffen. Kaiserschmarren war auch sehr lecker und als Nachtisch zu zweit ausreichend.

Considering the value for money, the evening was a bitter disappointment. There are much better alternatives at this price level in Frankfurt, which is why I advise against visiting this restaurant. The trouble began when choosing a seat: although the restaurant was about three-quarters empty and larger tables would have been available, we were seated at a walk-through seat in the back of the restaurant. After consultation, we were at least allowed to sit at a table for two near the window. However, the table offered so little space that we had to constantly rearrange plates and glasses. Right next to us, two large tables for four remained unused the entire evening. The food was also served disappointingly: both the starter and the main course were brought at the same time. The main course – a schnitzel for a whopping 40 euros – had to be kept warm while we ate the starter first. The main course tasted correspondingly dry. The atmosphere also left a lot to be desired: the music played was depressing, classical music that didn't fit the ambience and reinforced the overall negative impression.

Das Essen (und zwar alle Gerichte) haben hervorragend geschmeckt. Wir hatten Wiener Schnitzel, Cordon bleu, gemischten Salat und Apfelstrudel. Der alkoholfreie Hugo war ebenfalls sehr lecker! Das Essen war heiß, sehr gut gewürzt und auch das Salatdressing hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen!

Great place to have some traditional Austrian food. Good food quality and great service. Place was a little crowded and therefore it was not easy to have a conversation with my friends.

Wir haben selbst gewählt zu dritt an einem Tisch für zwei Personen Platz genommen. Die Hauptspeisen (Schnitzel) und Beilagen waren hervorragend. Auch die Auswahl der Biere hat alle Gäste erfreut. Besonders das Zwickl wußte zu gefallen. Der Nachtisch war ein nicht zu Ende aufgetauter TK Apfelstrudel. Zugegebenermaßen schön angerichtet und so ungenießbar. Ein Gast hat sich entschlossen dieses Gericht bis auf einen ca 5x5cm großen, hart gefrorenen Kern trotzdem zu verspeisen. An das Lahnsteiner Pils und das Augustiner erinnere ich mich nicht mehr genau, da ersatzweise mehrere Schnäpse als Nachtisch herhalten mussten. Service stets freundlich. Haben viel gelacht.

Das Essen (Salat mit Lachs, Cordon Bleu und Kaiserschmarren) war hervorragend! Das Salatdressing war sehr lecker, die Qualität des Lachses und des Fleisches (vom Strohschein) war wirklich sehr gut! Der Wein (grüner Veltliner) war sehr süffig. Die Mitarbeiter (alle) waren freundlich und herzlich, ein gelungener und prompter Service. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen.

Seefeld is a very authentic, loving and high-quality Austrian. No matter whether it's salad, dumplings or meat. Lots of homemade, regional, high-quality dishes! The map is manageable but extremely high quality. Whether it's homemade oil, freshly baked bread, vegan spaetzle. The day ticket is always worth it too! One highlight next to the other. I would particularly like to highlight the service. It is no longer a given that service is lived as lovingly as it is here! 5 out of 5 stars are not enough to describe this good restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt (Nordend). Big tip: be sure to try all the desserts! One highlight follows the next!

Food is good, but €26 for a children's schnitzel for a 7-year-old is a bit cheeky. The pricing is as follows: you take the adult schnitzel plus €2.50 for ketchup and swap spaetzle for fries - you can do that, but I did it last time. There are enough nice alternatives in Frankfurt…

Was soll ich sagen, außer: Einfach geil! Der Service ist zuvorkommend, herzlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Der empfohlene Grüne Veltliner war eine Wucht und das Wiener Schnitzel perfekt. Der Kartoffelsalat war wunderbar cremig, frisch und hatte dennoch Biß. Wer hier nicht glücklich wird, wird es wohl nirgendwo…

Unpretentious but extremely pleasant place. Tasty food, well served individual dishes and excellent service. We arrived without many expectations and left happy and satisfied.

Leckeres authentisches Essen. Super Service. Man kann sehr schön draußen sitzen. Leider etwas laut durch Straßenverkehr, aber dafür kann Seefeld nichts.

Except for the Wienerschnitzel itself, all of the dishes or food components were really NOT good. Potato and cucumber salad: Potatoes (really really) overcooked and mushy, the salad overall quite unseasoned. The cheese spaetzle was SWAMING in fat - other than that they were delicious. 1/4 Grüner Veltliner: 16 euros (it was good, you can get it elsewhere for half the price with the same quality). Conclusion: For me, a lot of wasted money for little quality.

The food tastes very good, the service is always very nice and you get good advice. There is delicious beer and we had a delicious schnapps at the end. You can sit comfortably inside and outside.

Pizza would be very tasty with toenails there was also a strange white sauce it was very bitter I still get the five stars it was delicious Pizza for €50 is okay but I really enjoyed it

Great food and a great experience! Wonderful outdoor seating on the street. Please hire another waitress. With only one working that night, she was immensely overworked! She did the very best she could and was very pleasant, but overworked which resulted in slower than expected service. But I’ll be back! Thanks for the great food!

Very pleasant staff, however, there was only one waitress and she was very busy. She was very pleasant and took good care of us. The owner was busy as well yet took the time to ensure we enjoyed our meal, personally going table to table and interacting with guests. The food was excellent and the prices are reasonable. Glad they are open on Sundays as many other restaurants in Frankfurt are not. I will definitely return and would highly recommend.

Very nicely decorated restaurant with Austrian dishes. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, so staying outside was canceled. But it was very comfortable inside. Well attended, but not too crowded. Very friendly service. Delicious beer and wild goulash, made from wild boar on this day. It was very tender and delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel was also tasty.

Super authentic restaurant with great food and very attentive service.

Even though the prices are slowly going through the roof, the quality is very good and the portions are really filling! The option to order a smaller dish is a sensible, great service and the waitresses, including the funny boss, are always very friendly and accommodating. We always enjoy being there!

The café reacted in a totally rude and unfriendly manner to the way too hot café, so unfortunately nothing at all was considered hospitality here. Missed career. I won't visit this restaurant again. Because points cannot be deducted, just 1 point.

Food is okay, but the execution is absolutely subpar for these prices. You can get a large Viennese schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce here for €38!!! At these prices you should actually expect top service. Unfortunately there is no information here: We cleared half of the dishes ourselves and the piping hot cappuccino also fell over. The milk was so hot that it now left burnt blisters on my hand. When I asked why the milk was so hot, all I heard was that the cappuccino wasn't meant to be poured over, but to be drunk, as if that would change anything! An absolute disgrace!!! Unfortunately, we can only recommend it if you adjust the prices and train the staff competently. In short: well thought, very poorly done!

Top schnitzel. Service medium. What was an absolute disaster was the shockingly unfriendly behavior towards our 3-year-old son, who was approached by the innkeeper. We've never been to a shop in Frankfurt that's so child-unfriendly - it's a shame about the good schnitzel!

Seefeld is a restaurant with cuisine from the Tyrolean Mountains in Austria. And is a great choice for anyone looking for Austrian food in Frankfurt. Butter-like tablecloths as before, consomme soup with egg noodles, special dumplings and and of course the famous Viener schnitzel. The excellent and nice waiter Stefan completes the atmosphere for a charming and delicious meal. Really recommended for fans of the genre.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Seefeld und sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal! Mein Mann hatte den Zwiebelrostbraten mit knusprigen Bratkartoffeln, die Soße ein Genuss! Meine Tochter und ich hatten beide das Schnitzel vom Strohschwein, das butterzart war, mit einer leckeren Pilzsauce. Die Portionen waren recht üppig, wir waren alle satt, dennoch haben wir noch einen Kaiserschmarren für uns alle bestellt und es nicht bereut. Super fluffig und sehr fein! Einzig der dazu gereichte Zwetschgenröster war uns in Form von halben Zwetschgen zu grob. Der Service sehr, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen bestimmt wieder. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We have been here several times, the food and service is really very good.

A beer garden in the countryside, in the middle of the city. The U5 regularly thunders past, and the Alleenring is also quite present, depending on the time of day. But that's urban, I like it here, and there is good Austrian food, and (spectacular) Augustiner on tap. And very friendly and courteous service. And it's nice inside too.

we came to a completely empty cafe, asked if you mind if we record a video (not about the establishment), moved a little 1 table, for 2 people, behind which I sat) ordered drinks, there were no people during our entire stay. (the terrace is large) and empty. After 30 minutes, we were rudely told that we are creating chaos and that is why people cannot sit down in the establishment. The institution has dirty benches and chairs. We ruined our clothes. the lemonade was tasty, but the attitude... if you don't want to be rude, I don't recommend it.

Wir sassen draussen, der Aussenbereich ist super angenehm mit viel Schatten und trotz der Strassennähe herrscht ein ruhiges und entspanntes Ambiente. Leider war das Essen enttäuschend. Der Spargel war insgesamt wirklich hölzern - das finde ich mitten in der Spargelsaison sehr enttäuschend. Zudem waren 2 von 5 Spargelstangen stellenweise nicht gut geschält, das darf einfach nicht sein. Das dazu bestellte Kalbsschnitzel war geschmacklich gut, die ganze Unterseite war jedoch nass, da der Spargel offenbar triefend nass auf den Teller gelegt wurde, sich dort ein kleiner Pool gebildet hat und dort dann das Schnitzel drin lag. Die Sauce Hollandaise liess leider auch zu Wünschen übrig - der Essiggeschmack war für mein Gusto zu ausgeprägt. Mein Mann hatte Cordon Bleue, das war ok, riess uns aber auch nicht vom Hocker. Die Pommes meines Sohnes waren recht gut. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und der Service insgesamt sehr gut. Unterm Strich werden wir aber nicht wiederkommen, da das Essen es leider einfach nicht wert ist.

Leckere Karte, für Vegetarier allerdings eine überschaubare Auswahl. Portionen dürften ein bißchen größer sein.
