Schweinske in Hamburg

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, there was a somewhat pungent smell of grease throughout the restaurant. One dish came with fries instead of fried potatoes. The service was super nice, very friendly and cheerful.

Very friendly, cheerful staff. We had to pass the time until our train left. There's a lot to choose from here, but it doesn't taste particularly good either. The toilets are really dirty!!

Very child-friendly, we ate here with a birthday group of 11 year old girls. Very nice and friendly staff. Everyone had fun and was fed up. The hustle and bustle of the station wasn't bothersome either, barely noticeable. Definitely a recommendation, especially with a larger group. Reservations may be required.

I actually never complain... But I ordered a Jägerschnitzel and somehow it turned out to be a sweet and sour schnitzel. The service was very nice but unfortunately a bit overwhelmed by my criticism. You have been my shop for so long and was really disappointed today. I hardly ate anything because I made it clear that I didn't like it - I'm not used to something like that from Farmsen. I was just disappointed that my things weren't taken into account at all. . I would like to change my 1 star rating from today

Unfortunately I can't judge the food. Went into the restaurant at 12:45 p.m. Service was friendly, but probably understaffed. It's now 2:20 p.m. and we haven't received our food yet. 🤷‍♂️ Edit: Food came and there was a round of drinks on the house. Schweinske did not disappoint and was, as always, delicious. However, you should keep an eye on coordination. 😉

We eat here every time we are in Hamburg and have never been disappointed. The food tastes delicious, is fresh and the staff is more than friendly. We always enjoy coming here.

Disgusting!!! First there was a 10 minute wait for a table. Then at a dirty table for another 10 minutes. Waiters look and walk past. Call - don't respond. After asking ourselves why we are leaving. We used to come here often. Now never again!!!

For some time now - in my opinion and I have enjoyed being a guest there for years - the quality has generally declined somewhat. I'm wondering, with & in what, for example, are the schnitzels breaded? (The appearance and taste have significantly deteriorated, in my opinion)

Unfortunately, the guest is not treated as one would like. You just seem to be a transient... Anyone who would run a store like this in another location would be bankrupt long ago because the guests wouldn't come back a second time. Unfortunately, I had to have this experience today because the staff is of the opinion that it is their shop and that they do not show any consideration for the guests. Although it was only the wish to take 2 tables of four next to each other with 3 adults and 3 children. No, that wasn't what we wanted and Zack pulled a table aside and it has to be enough for us, we only have 6 people.....the nice waiter said no objection, after all it was his shift and he needed the space. Even though the store was half full to me. No accommodation at all... Too bad....... So they probably won't see me again ....

We really liked the ambience of the restaurant, but unfortunately the service was a disappointment. After a train delay, we wanted to have lunch there and decided on the lumberjack steak. Despite waiting 20 minutes, we were completely ignored by the staff. Even when a service person walked directly past us, we were ignored and were unable to contact her. What a shame! We then went to another restaurant and had a great alternative there.

Im Schweinske auf dem Hamburger Hauptbahnhof kann man ausgezeichnet mit einem sehr leckeren Frühstück auf seinen Zug warten. Frische Speisen ala Carte, sauberes Restaurant, sehr freundliche Bedienung, tolle Atmosphäre. Zu empfehlen ist der grosse Milchkaffee in einer Schale. Ich kann bisher nur das Frühstück bewerten, aber es war so gut, dass ich an einem anderen Tag nochmals dort frühstücken ging. Alles bestens.

Apart from the fact that the schnitzel was tough, the lackluster condition was simply bottom drawer. Dark hair, pale skin, black nails You are neither asked which side dish you would like, nor were you asked whether everything would be ok. So I had to call someone myself to be able to pay. Nice place to chill for a while, on the 1st floor of the Hauptbahnhof Hamburg. At the back you look out over the platforms and the trains, very lively here 👍✨️

I have known Schweinske from Hamburg since 2010. Unfortunately we don't have any pigs. The food is very tasty and varied. The price-performance ratio is very good. And I always found the entire staff to be particularly friendly! I feel completely at home at Schweinske.

Here breakfast is made with heart. If you want some peace and quiet in a big city like Hamburg, this is the right place for you. Depending on the size of your “hunger”, the offer is perfectly tailored. I like freshly squeezed orange juice best. Highly recommended. ❤️

The food is great. I can recommend the Jäger Schnitzel. The service was great! Always funny and conversational. The ambience is great but the toilets are unfortunately not that great. But still very tasty and I'll come back again.

Food was horrible. Bacon was still almost raw and we got the wrong order twice. The staff was mostly unfriendly and unprofessional. We had to wait forever and ask 3-4 times to finally be able to pay after half an hour. We then complained and were then ignored. Overall, not a recommendation.

Very good, we come here regularly and feel comfortable. The staff is always friendly, unobtrusive, asks if it tastes good and whether you have anything else you would like, etc. The food is consistently good and the renovation as part of the expansion of the restaurant has been really successful. The coziness has been retained. The window fronts allow you to observe the hustle and bustle of the station. Regardless of whether it's schnitzel, baked potatoes, onion soup, the food comes to the table hot and the pilsner is on tap, is cool and, like all drinks, well presented. Can recommend it and will always come back.

Once a month we go to Hamburger Bahnhof to have breakfast at Schweinske. In addition to the delicious offerings, we come there primarily because of the service. Especially Dorthe, who always serves us with ease, calmness, a lot of heart and a smile, makes it impossible to move to other locations. Thanks.

Food, price/performance and service top. I had to make up an hour due to a train cancellation. Now that I've arrived on the train, I unfortunately notice that after an hour in the shop I smell as if I had been standing at an old deep fryer in constant operation for the last hour. Extremely unpleasant on a crowded train and also for the rest of the journey. Something definitely needs to be done with the ventilation here.

All in all I thought it was good and the food tasted good. The coffee was ready to drink and my tongue was spared from blisters. The 4 stars in service are for the question of whether Beacon can be included in the farmer's breakfast. This is part of a farmer's breakfast!!!! Especially since it wasn't a beacon, I could have put the ham on it myself. Beacon should be fried and not placed on top from the package.

Actually, I just wanted to bridge the time between two trains and found the restaurant to be quite cozy from the outside. Once inside I was surprised by the friendly staff, an unusual menu and a delicious Bailey Coffee. The tables in the front area are set up so that you can easily put your luggage behind you, which is very pleasant. In addition to delicious breakfast combinations, the menu also includes a large selection of surprisingly affordable lunch options. If I'm at the main train station in Hamburg again, there will definitely be a way past here. Absolutely recommended

My food arrived in 3 minutes. Nothing was fresh anymore. Put the fries in the deep fryer to warm up. The kitchen smokes the whole place. Doesn't seem to have a good trigger system. The lady who served me was very friendly.

I was there today and had to insist on using the toilet (pregnant). There was a note on the door saying that you should also use the toilets in the basement, but when I asked at the counter the staff was super nice and I was allowed to use the toilet, thank you very much.

Our visit today wasn't nice and we only know that from the Schweinske in Henstedt-Ulzburg. So here now too. We walked in and were immediately looked up and down by the waitress asking, “What do you want?” Uhhmm have breakfast 🤔 She then said, choose a place. When she came and asked about the drinks, I said that we already know what we want to eat. No, she said. First the drinks 😤 Very unpleasant. While we were eating she didn't ask once if everything was OK? She went to each table and asked. Not with us. When we wanted to pay, another waitress came and asked if everything was OK. Then I said that it was too late now and that we wanted to pay. I then explained the situation to her. She then apologized for her colleague. Sorry, but that was really nothing.

If you have to change trains in Hamburg central station and have a little time to spare, you should stop off at Schweinske. Super friendly team, delicious salads and comfortable seating. We'll be back at Schweinske at it's best.

Food was great but the service left me speechless. In the end I gave the waitress a €1 tip and she suddenly became incredibly unpleasantly angry. I mean... Hello... A little gratitude. Money is money... I've never experienced anything like that and I don't think it should happen.

We were there today, ate and received OK service. But when we wanted to pay, the waitress misbehaved, rudely and unpleasantly, slapped the bill on the table and left. We felt really bad. Apparently our tip wasn't enough for her and that's why she got extremely angry. Zero professional.

We ate here several times during our short trip to Hamburg. The food always tasted excellent, was served nicely and the staff were all very friendly and personable.

I visited this restaurant on my stopover because I had to wait a good 2 hours for my connection. As soon as I entered, a waitress came up to me and showed me where I could sit down. My luggage didn't bother anyone here either. After choosing from the rather large menu, I ultimately decided on the Fritz pork (pork schnitzel with fries and a side salad). After ordering, I went to the quiet place, which unfortunately didn't seem as inviting as the restaurant itself. Everything works there, but the optics sometimes leave a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, it was clean and everything was stocked. Back at the place, the hot, fresh food was delivered straight away and within 5 minutes. Despite the surprisingly quick preparation, the food was very tasty and definitely recommended! You also have to remember that you are in a train station and you simply don't expect a restaurant like this here. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended!

Breakfast a bit of coffee without milk, 2 measly rolls each with a bit of butter, honey jam and a handful of strange, undressed salad. I don't understand the point of it or the price of €7.20.

Wir hatten noch Zeit bis zu unserer Abfahrt. An den Inbissständen wollten wir nichts essen, da hier die aufdringlichen Tauben über die Stände flogen. Das "Schweinske", mit seiner Verglasung hielt diese Viecher ab. Darum assen wir hier "Rundstück warm". Einfach lecker. 2 Scheiben warmer Schweinebraten auf auf Rundstück mit warmer Bratensosse. Satt und zufrieden traten wir dann unsere Heimreise an. Sehr empfehlenswert😋

Have something to eat in front of the Ohnsorg Theater. So off to the Schweinske. My madam took a currywurst Admiral and I a lumberjack steak. Orders were taken quickly and drinks came quickly. Before we left, there were 2 sticky rubber rolls, then the food came. OK so far, only the fries were lukewarm and sticky. But after my complaint they were quickly replaced with new and delicious fries. Service was OK.

We still had time and hunger before we left. We didn't want to eat anything at the snack stands because the annoying pigeons even flew into the stands. Then we creamed the “Schweinske”. Rooms closed with glass without visiting pigeons, great. We were able to study and choose the menu in peace. The attentive waitress took our order and brought the drinks shortly afterwards. Since we didn't want to overfill our stomachs, we opted for "Rundstück warm". Highly recommended. We got a good portion. Round piece with two slices of roast pork and warm gravy. Plus a fresh mixed salad. Very tasty and no sauce out of the bag. A basket of round pieces was also placed on the table. Even though we didn't really want to eat that much, we were still full. All in all, it's not a deep fryer kitchen, but here the schnitzel is fried in the pan.

Too bad... We are in Hamburg 3-4 times a year. One of our first addresses to go out to eat is the Schweinske, unfortunately it has gone so badly the last three times that we have decided not to go there anymore!

The atmosphere was comfortable but lacked something special. The service was polite, though not particularly attentive, and the food was decent but didn't stand out. It wasn't a bad experience, but expected a little more in terms of flavor and presentation. A few small improvements could make this place more memorable.

We came here twice while passing through because we specifically went to this restaurant because of the good food. In any case, the service really needs to be underlined. The staff is very nice and incredibly child-friendly - on both occasions we were immediately given something to paint, were allowed to eat in the play area and were simply treated nicely. We are thrilled!

A huge thank you to our great waitress who made our breakfast a real highlight! Your friendly and attentive nature made us feel welcome from the start. She took perfect care of us, was always there when we needed anything and brightened our morning with her smile. The breakfast was delicious, but the service was the icing on the cake! We are already looking forward to the next visit and the bread.

Hamburg main station, a terrible and ugly place...and another three hours of waiting for our train... But then a ray of hope! The Restaurant/Cafe Schweinske, right in the train station building. Here we wanted to pass the time with our bags and luggage... and were immediately greeted in a friendly manner in the entrance area, served quickly at our seat and the food was an absolute dream in terms of price/performance! Luckily we discovered this place. This restaurant makes your stay in an otherwise terrible and dirty train station very pleasant. We happily waited here for the train for three hours! Absolutely recommended! If we ever find ourselves at Hamburg Central Station again, we'll be happy to come back!
