It's been a long time since I went to the Wattkorn in Hamburg today. Always a part of a business trip to HH for me. It was just fantastic. Great value for money, super nice staff (really on point), unobtrusive but always on hand. The food was plentiful, tasty and good. Clear recommendation! Even with the new tenants, the Wattkorn remains top! My clear recommendation!

The “new” Wattkorn is no longer comparable to the great restaurant it once was. The interior, including curtains, is grey/green/cold, the lighting with recessed ceiling lights from above just looks uncomfortable, the acoustics in the restaurant have deteriorated significantly, when it is full it is almost unbearably loud, and having a conversation at your own table becomes difficult. The food is also just mediocre, no comparison with the kitchen before. The only thing that is great is the service, the employees are very helpful and very friendly! But otherwise: a shame, a shame, a shame. We used to love coming...we won't in the future.

My husband and I had dinner at Wattkorn. He had the Hamburger Abendblatt favorite menu. I ordered a la carte. First of all the waiters were very nice and friendly. The ambience is nice. We sat in a slightly smaller booth at a table for two. It was very comfortable for the first 10 minutes and we were able to have a nice chat. Then a group of 6-8 people was seated at a table behind us. Then the comfort was over. It was so incredibly loud that we could barely hold a conversation. We actually wanted to finally go out again so we could talk in a relaxed manner. The food from the favorite menu was fine. Portions really small, but that would be complaining at a high level. My starter was ok too. My main course, however, still leaves me stunned. I ordered a burger. With the note that the meat should be well done. When the food came and I cut my burger in half, I noticed that the meat was still very pink, almost bloody. The waitress came and took my plate. Half of my burger fell over. I hadn't eaten any of it yet. She took my plate and brought it back after a few minutes with a new plate and HALF a burger on it. The waitress told me that she had told the chef to cook the meat again. Well, what can I say? I was only able to eat half of my burger because the meat still wasn't cooked through. It was still just as pink as before. When my plate was cleared and the waitress asked how it tasted, she saw my undercooked meat and said nothing. Not even when I told her that only the fries were good. At a restaurant in this price range, I expect a new whole burger. Or a price reduction, a free dessert or something else, but no reaction is sad. Finally, I would say that you can eat there. It doesn't taste bad but it doesn't taste particularly good either. For us the service was rather weak and the ambience was nice but much too loud.

We were at Wattkorn on the occasion of our 12th wedding anniversary. Nice atmosphere. Finally new top gastronomy in Langenhorn! In the wrong place at the wrong time. The service person took the order very friendly and accommodating. Then the first mishap, goat cheese gratin was served instead of goose liver. We smiled charmingly away. I had the beef tartare and nothing could get cold until the goose liver was on the table. Then the next glitch came with the main course. Another dish for my partner. His dish and my zander were immediately brought back to the kitchen and re-served after 10 minutes. My partner was also satisfied, but unfortunately I received the pike perch that I had previously served and had dried it out under the heat lamp. I tentatively complained after 3 bites. The freshly fried zander was then served by the owner and cook. She insulted us in a way that definitely doesn't belong in top-class restaurants. She was of the opinion that the wrong dishes being delivered can happen and we should understand that and we would have completely exhausted her service staff. Unfortunately I completely lost my appetite and we asked for the bill! She; We shouldn't get so upset, it's just food. The highlight was that on the bill there was goat cheese gratin instead of goose liver. Keep it up, dear Wattkorn! But without us!

We were there today on Valentine's Day and were able to enjoy the Valentine's Day menu. It was fantastic - the prepared mango for the salad... a poem!!! Unfortunately Tim, the chef, didn't reveal the preparation😃… understandable.🥰 The menu sequence was very well coordinated, the fillet in the main course, the truffle jus… everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. And even though the restaurant was fully booked - the service was very attentive, always friendly, relaxed and professional. The wine recommendation was also good. We are very satisfied, will definitely come back and are looking forward to more wonderful evenings with great food in Wattkorn😊

Two weeks ago we were in Wattkorn for the first time with 8 people after the change of tenant. The food was tasty but not very filling. My Grützwurst lacked more mashed potatoes. Afterwards we were told that we could have reordered. The information must come when serving. The presentation on the plate was without a fuss. Not even a leaf of lettuce or tomato slices graced the cuisine. Well, we will still visit the Paradise Garden in the spring and hope that the initial difficulties have been resolved. potential is there, To be honest, I was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to high quality, tasty food. We were there with a group of 7 people. And out of 7 starters, main courses and desserts, exactly 2 desserts were convincing. The rest was unseasoned average at best. There was a greeting from the kitchen: an Italian cream and a small bread basket with 5 small pieces of bread. When we asked, we were given a little more bread so that everyone could taste it. Among the starters, the pumpkin cream soup was praised, except that each one contained exactly one crayfish tail. My Caesar salad was very “Mayonnaise” and had nothing to do with fine dining for me. For the main courses, salt was first provided and everyone had to add seasoning. At the table there was duck leg, panfish, a vegan sweet potato burger, pike perch, Wiener schnitzel and I chose the garlic prawns with vegetables and cotton wool bread. Well, apart from the lack of spices, the lack of garlic was the hardest thing for me to bear or I'm already resistant ;). My highlight was the Kaiserschmarn with plums (the vanilla ice cream was nice, but not necessary) it was crispy, caramelized and fluffy on the inside, together with the slight sourness of the plums, it was a dream. The creme brulee was also praised. The food in the still new Wattkorn was nice, but didn't match the price. I really hope everything works out and will try it again

Yesterday we redeemed our favorite menu at the Wattkorn restaurant with my daughter and her husband. (Evening paper campaign for Christmas). The restaurant recently reopened after a change of ownership and major renovation. The The house has been lovingly redesigned in the old style. The original building with gardens was shaped by the “stork father” Schwen. There are subtle style references everywhere in the newly designed restaurant; the stork symbol appears in various places. (entrance door, dishes, water glass, etc.). We were greeted very friendly and our table was festively set. The service is friendly and nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy and festive. I can only describe the food as a culinary treat. There were five courses with matching wines and drinks. The portions were well balanced and you never had the feeling of being oversaturated. All in all a successful evening. We can recommend with a clear conscience that you register for a meal at the “zum Wattkorn” restaurant. Big praise to the nice owner family and their entire team.

It was our first time in New Wattkorn and we made reservations via opentable. The food was good. Our starter tartare was very pickled to our liking. But everyone cooks differently. Our main course was delicious. However, the saddle of venison was not released properly, but was rather butchered out of the bones by the rather unmotivated employee. That wasn't nice to see... The desert was okay. The greeting was poor, the employee actually didn't have a tired smile. Even later she didn't manage to smile at us once. We were placed in a cold side room where we were freezing the whole time. Right at the beginning I asked for another table (there were still a lot of free ones) and we were allowed to move around in the cold room... While my husband was still eating, the employee started clearing away the bowls from the main course without asking. We were too surprised to protest. That doesn't work at all... The bill was thrown onto the table with the sentence “Here are sweets and bill.” This is snack level... and with a bill of more than 140 euros. At the end we had to look for our jackets and were given a tired goodbye on the way. That's it. We won't be coming back.

Last night we had dinner with 4 people at “Zum Wattkorn”. The parking lot was already completely full at 6 p.m. - which made me happy, so the new tenant couple has a lot of guests. But that was also the problem. In the entrance area, which was too small, the newly arrived guests stood between the tables and waited to be assigned a table. We were asked by 3 different people what name we reserved under. The staff seemed overwhelmed, hectic and uncoordinated. Our food - Labskaus, roast beef, burger and shrimp pan - was ok with the exception of the shrimp pan, nothing more. The prawns were accompanied by overcooked vegetables. The entire staff seemed to be trying hard, but unfortunately it wasn't enough. Since the favorite menu from the Hamburger Abendblatt was also served, everyone seemed overwhelmed. Maybe the new tenants should welcome fewer guests at the beginning, but everything will work out well for them. There is still a lot of room for improvement and I wish the new tenants good luck.

The ambience was nice, but the acoustics were very loud. The staff is friendly, but seems a bit overwhelmed. We had the winter menu: Flädle soup with a semolina dumpling that unfortunately had no taste. Kalscheeks with mashed potatoes and kohlrabi in cream sauce. That was good. Dessert: apricot dumplings with vanilla sauce. The dumplings tasted terrible, I don't think they were homemade and I'm not sure about the vanilla sauce. It's a shame, I would have expected more for the price. I would give the restaurant a chance and come back in the summer when you can sit in the garden. Let's see...

We like to take part in the favorite menus from the Hamburger Abendblatt and were really looking forward to eating at Wattkorn because we also knew the restaurant as Wollenberg. (For us one of the best menus was at Treudelberg.) The registration was very positive and nice, as well The very helpful wheelchair service upon arrival. Unfortunately, the service at the table was not really appropriate for the location and a 5-course menu with accompanying drinks. The table was not set and the service was not prepared. The wines were poured silently and without explanation without showing the bottle and you had to read the menu yourself. The first course was goose fat with two small pieces of bread, which would normally be a greeting from the kitchen. Unfortunately, the forest mushroom essence, which is also on the menu, had no mushroom flavor but was destroyed by the thyme. The dessert was an apple strudel, which must have been frozen. Unfortunately, the purpose of recruiting customers has been completely missed. The drinks from Rindchen went very well! This is the opinion of all 4 participants.

My family and I went to the annual Christmas goose dinner at “Zum Wattkorn” on December 25th. As soon as I entered, the old-fashioned but modern atmosphere came into its own, which made me very happy. It was my first visit to "zum Wattkorn" and I was accordingly ignorant about the service or the menu. We were shown to our table without any waiting and were immediately served by a very nice young man who had a very pleasant demeanor. It was clear that he enjoyed his job and had a good view of the quite well-filled restaurant with his colleagues. The choice of food was plentiful and (almost) all of us chose something different. Upon request, the friendly waitress, Mr. RIssmann, turned the lighting a little darker, giving us an even more pleasant atmosphere. The food came in a timely manner (approx. 25 minutes) and was very nicely prepared. We were also offered dessert, and our waitress recommended the crème brulee. We were given a generous portion and were very happy. All in all, a very nice experience, which Mr. Peter Rissmann sweetened for us all the more. We look forward to coming back next year!

We were there on Boxing Day and weren't happy. Right at the beginning we were informed that the table would be reassigned from 7 p.m.; so we had to leave in time. Two weeks before visiting the restaurant we were told that my son, who is a vegetarian, could have a nut roast. We ordered this today and were very, very annoyed: The nut roast may have been a nut roast on December 24th, but today the obvious leftovers were simply cut into tiny slices and served fried! Result: You could also have fried stale bread! Very bitter disappointment, especially since the restaurant has set a certain standard for itself. After we expressed our criticism and asked for more sauce so that we could "drown" the "roast" with it, we waited forever and ever for it. When we asked again about the sauce, it turned out that our request had arrived in the kitchen, but the sauce had been brought to another table! I had a glazed leg of goose whose meat was quite dry and the skin was not crispy at all but rather limp. As an apology after criticism about the "nut roast", we were given coffee at the end of the meal at the house's expense. Conclusion: I will go there again in the summer for lunch to get a further impression and then see what happens...

We were there on December 23rd. there at lunchtime. It was wonderfully relaxed as there were few guests on site. We calmly enjoyed the kale, which was very tasty. For dessert there was apple strudel & cappuccino - also delicious. Yes, there could actually be some garnish on the plates... The service was friendly and attentive. The renovation was a success - everything seems brighter and airier. We left satisfied and would love to come back to try the other dishes.

It's a shame, we were very happy to be able to eat regionally here again. Unfortunately we received some warmed up food. Duck leg was dry and not fresh from the oven. Potatoes were warmed up, which the boss confirmed to us (they cook fresh at 10 a.m....) and tasted watery and bland. Service taciturn and grumpy. Dumplings and sauce were delicious. A small bowl of red cabbage for 3 people, not enough. We had hoped for more, but in the end it was the same as in the old Wattkorn years ago.

The external impression of a cozy atmosphere cannot be found in the restaurant. It's chic, simple and cold with no atmosphere. The starters (goose liver and goat cheese) were very good. Main course goose leg good, but not particularly and little; Gritzwurst fried crispy was okay for me, but it was crispy and almost burnt, you have to like that. The dollop of puree with it was a bit irritating... portions are very small, you can't be really hungry. Dessert Kaiserschmarrn delicious; Of the three ice cream flavors available, I chose a scoop of cassis/lemon sorbet, both very good. However, the two scoops of ice cream were carelessly placed in a bowl (my husband had one for red cabbage and dumplings), without any decoration, absolutely nothing to look at... I wouldn't serve dessert like that to my guests. The cappuccino we ordered wasn't even brought. Price/performance was average for us and too expensive for what little was on the plate. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Finally a breath of fresh air in the Wattkorn, after years of standstill and regression (food, prices, service). The new operators have redesigned the ancient ambience and they have done it well. The food is very tasteful and at fair prices. The boss is super friendly on site, always approachable. It's worth going to the Wattkorn again after a few years. In any case, we now go there regularly again.

Mega!!! Finally an operator who knows something about his work.👏 The store was very busy but there wasn't a long wait. There was a small, delicious starter, bread with homemade dip. And then came the main course, Classic duck leg with red cabbage, dumplings, orange sauce. All I can say is a poem!!! Super delicious!! I haven't eaten so well in a long time. As the saying goes, like with mothers☺️ Hammer! I drove home with a full stomach and a grin on my face. Thanks for that. ☺️👏👏👏

Hello, the food was not good or only partially good. The service was also not good in many areas! The atmosphere and the rooms are still far too cold, a bit like a well-made company canteen! Some of the service staff walked around in dirty sports shoes and I would have been happy to see a friendly expression on their faces. But the restaurant menu is quite expensive! I would have expected a little more for the prices. I would say that something doesn't add up yet!! We won't be coming back there for the time being! We were at the opening in Wattkorn under the new management and can immediately say that we have experienced much more chaotic restaurant openings. We ordered from the menu, had special requests for the aperitif and the kitchen and service passed this with flying colors. The dishes can be described as classic; there are many meat and fish dishes. The quality of the food is particularly noteworthy; We were impressed by all the courses, especially the fish soup and the grützwurst were very tasty. The guest room is not yet fully decorated, but it looks much brighter and friendlier than it was in the past. We look forward to your next visit!

It's been some time since my last visit to the Wattkorn, but what happened? As a greeting, there was an unnecessary remark about my ten-minute delay to my reserved time after a four-hour journey, even though the restaurant was almost empty and remained almost empty except for a few guests. No sushi “today”. Labskaus is no longer offered. Too bad. So we had Himmel & Äd for lunch. The food was average. What really bothered me, however, was that three dogs that obviously belonged to the restaurant or its staff were constantly running around in the restaurant and sometimes laying down on a blanket next to and under the tables and on the bench. There were dog treats on the floor. Yes, maybe I have a sensitive nose, but I don't like the smell of dog in a restaurant while eating. A note when booking or on the door would be an advantage so that you at least have a choice. Everyone may perceive it differently, here I am just giving my honest impression and personal opinion. I prefer to see dogs running around in the meadow. Apart from that, the atmosphere lost some of its charm, the food was “okay” and overall I was disappointed even though I was so looking forward to the Wattkorn. The free parking lot right next to the restaurant is practical. I give it a loving 3 out of 5 stars.

A good restaurant with good cuisine. For several years I have enjoyed coming here when I am in Hamburg and the surrounding area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good and reflects the great quality of the products. Especially in summer, a place in the garden is a dream to slow down and enjoy good food in a great atmosphere. See you next time.

I only ate at the restaurant, it's very typical. The roof is the typical one made of wooden branches from Northern Europe, the interior is full of stuffed animals but the surprise is the internal garden, it is wonderful. Too bad for the very very high prices of the desserts, in general the restaurant is good.

Food is decent, not top-notch gastronomy, but slightly above average; beautiful garden spots; two large dogs roam around the restaurant, sometimes getting under the guests' tables, an absolute no-go! Price-performance ratio was difficult for some dishes, the cold roast beef was absolutely justified, asparagus with potatoes and hollandaise sauce 3 sticks for 14€, dessert good portions, but I don't think 14€ is appropriate; I won't go there again, I didn't feel comfortable

I just don't understand why Wattkorn apparently refuses to offer one or two vegetarian dishes, beyond the (incredibly original) 'Eggs in Mustard Sauce'. Guests who don't want to eat fish or meat should avoid this shop. The whole thing is not exactly contemporary.

The food and ambience are actually very nice, but the service is not up to par for such a high-priced restaurant. rather lower level of style and friendliness. (I also heard this from friends afterwards). The terrace and garden are great, an oasis in the middle of the city. However, the garden furniture is already very worn (including parasols) on which the house's dogs also lie. you have to like that. I think you have to be careful not to rest on the good old days. Customers notice something like that and then don't come back.

Bavarian-Austrian atmosphere, as you know it from films, with wood and red-checkered ceilings. Staff very friendly and accommodating, you can't complain about that. Not overly crowded earlier on Saturday evening, will probably come later. Beef roulade with red cabbage and fried potatoes is definitely not worth a Michelin star, sorry, but I've had much better ones. I was irritated when I got a steak knife for the roulade. I thought it would be tough. It wasn't, but relatively dry. The roulade comes on a huge plate, with a lake of jus in the middle, some diced bacon on it, parsley on top, filled with a gherkin and about 1/3 of an onion, which was a bit weak. A little tip: It's better to use fatty bacon, then it won't be so dry. A small bowl of red cabbage is served with it, which was unfortunately pretty overcooked and seasoned with cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg (?). Quite inappropriate at the end of April, it's better to add a few apple cubes, it's crisp and fresh. The most unusual thing were the fried potatoes... you'd expect dumplings or boiled potatoes, I guess croquettes, but fried potatoes? More fries soon, or what? If the fried potatoes had been properly made, they would at least have absorbed the jus from the beef roulade well, but they were not fried, but fried. Maybe not in a deep fryer, but then just floating in fat in the pan... at least that's not what proper fried potatoes look like, they had a closed crust all around so they couldn't absorb any jus. The bacon cubes were okay, the onions were slightly sautéed. So the food was okay, filling, but nothing that would make me go there again. The grandma dishes on the menu are nice. Otherwise I wouldn't go there again, I've been to better restaurants.

We were here for dinner at Easter. Dishes were OK. Service was funny (non-alcoholic beer) and friendly. The decor, well, you have to like it or not. The toilets, on the other hand, were a disaster. Some prices are not justified. Personally, I would have expected more for such a location. Will I come back? Not if it absolutely has to be.

We spontaneously decided to visit the restaurant on a Friday afternoon in February. The table reservation for 5 p.m. was made via OpenTable and was confirmed immediately. The two of us were placed in a smaller side room, rustically decorated with game specimens and an impressive number of wine bottles, and we sat there in a very pleasant, quiet environment. When eating, we initially decided on two starters: Firstly, the cucumber salad, which my friend really enjoyed and, in terms of quantity, could almost have been a main course. For myself I ordered a Vitello Tartufo, thin slices of roast veal with a truffled tuna cream, also a great pleasure and generously portioned. For main courses we ordered grandma's cabbage roulade and roast red deer; Both can be seen in the photos. My friend's stuffed cabbage came to the table in an impressive size and was served with mashed potatoes and sauce. Here too, expectations were more than met. My equally generous roast venison was accompanied by a potato dumpling, sauce with mushrooms, fresh cranberries and celery puree. Everything harmonized and tasted excellent and also filled you up well. We couldn't ask for anything more from the dessert menu and ended up settling for two espressos. The service was friendly, unobtrusive and attentive. Finally, the host, Mr. Wollenberg, came to the table for a visit and asked about satisfaction and well-being. All in all, we spent just under 100 euros for our visit and found this to be good value for money for the pleasant evening and the food we enjoyed. We would be happy to stop by the Wattkorn again.

Ich hatte mich dazu entschieden, eine nette Zeit im Wattkorn zu verbringen. Sonntagmittag, um eine Vorbereitung einer Vorlesung mit/neben einem schönen Essen zu erledigen. Der Blick in die Karte: Preise gehobenes Niveau. Na gut, wenn die Qualität stimmt. Allerdings stellte ich schnell fest, dass das Interieur reichlich abgerockt ist. Nun gut. Ich habe mich für das Wintermenü für 40 Euro entschieden. Allein die Preise für die Pfifferlingssuppe (13 Euro) und die glasierte Entenbrust (32 Euro) waren damit erreicht. Dazu sollte noch ein Nachtisch im Wert von 13 Euro kommen. Das Glas Wein (0,2 l) für 9,7 Euro. Der Bedienung hatte ich im Vorwege gesagt, dass ich die Gänge einzeln ordern werde, weil ich zwischendurch arbeiten wollte. Und damit ging das Drama dann los. Das Hauptgericht kam, kaum dass ich mit der Vorspeise fertig war. Mein Hinweis, dass das jetzt nicht gewünscht sei, wurde mit folgender Bemerkung kommentiert: Es sei Sonntagmittag, da könne man auf solche Wünsche keine Rücksicht nehmen. Ich habe das Essen nicht zurückgehen lassen. Was dann allerdings folgte, die Entenbrust war lauwarm und zäh, die Soße nicht abgebunden, der Selleriestampf ein mikroskopisch kleiner Klecks, der Rosenkohl total verkocht. Die Bedienung räumte dann alles ab und fragte ob alles okay sei. Antwort: nein. Darauf kam keine Reaktion. Anschließend habe ich die Rechnung geordert, auf den Nachtisch habe ich dankend verzichtet. Die Rechnung kam ohne jeden Kommentar. 52,60 Euro für das Wintermenü, ein Glas Wein und ein kleines Bier. Da dann wieder niemand zu kassieren kam, habe ich die Rechnung am Ausgang bezahlt. Frage: war alles in Ordnung? Nein, ich bin maximal enttäuscht, was ich für diesen horrenden Preis bekommen habe. Schmallippige Entschuldigung, das wars. Ich kenne das Wattkorn seit mehr als 20 Jahren und werde es nicht wieder besuchen. Preis- Leistung stimmen überhaupt nicht (mehr).

Once upon a time there was a very nice restaurant, it was... Unfortunately no longer recommended, unfriendly service, now even warmed ducks are served dozens of times. Chewy and bone dry! After complaining, an offer came for a cup of cappuccino! Impudence! How to offer a cappuccino as a replacement for an old duck? Without words! Did NOT pay for the ducks. There was loud screaming from the kitchen because MW was probably in the kitchen. Great for the poor employees and unbearable for the guests too! My conclusion: after decades of visits, you should NEVER set foot in this restaurant again!

Es war einmal....ein sehr schönes Restaurant, aber jetzt ist es zum abgewöhnen, leider. Das ganze Klima bei den Angestellten sagt alles. Wenn MW vor Ort ist, ist nur Geschrei aus der Küche zu hören. Die Gäste kommen immer mehr aus dem Kiez Milieu, furchterregend! Das Essen ist mal so, mal so. Die Qualität hat extrem gelitten. Es ist wirklich sehr sehr schade um dieses schöne und ehemals auch leckere Restaurant mit seinem wunderschönen Garten im Sommer. Wir kommen nach fast 20 Jahren NIE wieder!

Grünkohl gibt es nicht mit Röstkartoffeln oder karamellisierten Kartoffeln sondern nur mit Salzkartoffeln. für 16,-- ohne Beilagen. Grünkohl habe ich schon schmackhafter gehabt. Deko auf manchen Teller fehlte. Vegetarische Speisen kaum auf der Mittagskarte zu finden Tee gibt es nicht weil es nicht möglich ist heißes Wasser zu erzeugen. Auf nicht nachvollziehbares Fehlverhalten der Gäste wird laut durch den Raum aufmerksam gemacht. Die Räume waren sehr kalt.

Heute Mittag waren wir zum wiederholten Mal im Wattkorn zum Essen. Einen Tisch bekamen wir auch ohne Reservierung problemlos. Die Gaststube war nicht gerade kuschelig warm - vermutlich den hohen Energiepreisen geschuldet. Nächstes Mal dicken Pullover anziehen. 😉 Die Karte kam schnell, auch die obligatorische Frage nach den Getränken, doch bis wir das Essen bestellen konnten, dauerte es viel zu lange. ☹ Machte keine gute Laune. Das Essen selbst war erfreulich schnell auf dem Tisch - die Stimmung besserte sich. Zwiebelrostbraten und Bäckchen waren von gewohnt guter Qualität, nur der Spitzkohl war versalzen. Auch hier hätten wir uns eine andere Reaktion außer "Ich werde mit meinem Kollgen sprechen" gewünscht. Schade.

Nach längerer Zeit mal wieder zu Gast im Wattkorn und auch wir müssen den meisten Bewertungen recht geben. In der heutigen Zeit möchte ich nicht mehr mit toten Tieren an den Wänden speisen und ich möchte auch nicht von lebenden Hunden am Tisch beobachtet werden. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber schwach gewürzt und nicht wirklich heiß. Die Qualität spiegelt nicht die hohen Preise wider und eine Cola 0,5l für 6,50€ entspricht eine Kalkulation von 700% Aufschlag, das ist unverschämt. Ohne ein überdenken der eigenen Ansprüche und einer nachhaltigen Modernisierung sehe ich schwarz für die Zukunft vom Wattkorn.

Wir waren früher regelmäßig im Wattkorn. Die Portionen sind kleiner geworden und geschmacklich nicht mehr so super lecker, wie es einmal war. Doch erschreckend war der ungelernter Service. Als am Nachbartisch alle Gäste gegangen sind, wurden die Wasser Gläser die dort auf dem Tisch standen und wohl nicht benutzt worden sind, einfach wieder aufgedeckt – obwohl diese mit der Öffnung nach oben 2 Stunden auf dem Tisch von vier Gästen standen. Hygiene ist hier augenscheinlich nicht groß geschrieben. Ich werde daher dieses Restaurant von meiner Liste streichen.

Essen ist gut, das Sushi ist sehr gut. Würde das Sushi schon fast als Spezialität des Hauses bezeichnen. Personal ist leider recht unfreundlich, was schon des öfteren bemerkt wurde. Preise sind für ein Restaurant dieser Art auf einem normalen Niveau. Mittagstisch ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man sich an frei laufenden Hunden und eher schlecht gelauntem Personal stört. Restaurant ist sehr nett eingerichtet, wie eine alte Jagdhütte.

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht! Wir mussten sehr lange warten um überhaupt die Bestellung aufzugeben, dann dauerte es sehr lange bis das Essen da war. Ein Getränk wurde auch vergessen. Das Essen war okay, aber bei den Preisen kann man mehr erwarten. Wir hatten ein Menü und mussten nach wieder langer Wartezeit drauf hinweisen, dass das Dessert noch fehlt. Sehr schade, da das Restaurant optisch wirklich sehr schön ist.

Leider ein Raucherlokal. Wir konnten es dort nicht aushalten. Morgens um 9:30 Uhr schon zugequalmt und es kamen immer mehr Raucher an. Das Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, da wir gleich wieder gegangen sind, als der nächste Aschenbecher auf den Nebentisch gestellt wurde... (wir hatten davor schon den Tisch gewechselt, um weiter weg zu sitzen). Das Service Team war freundlich.

The old Osdorf mill and therefore the home of 'Don Quichotte' has always been an institution in the west of Hamburg and one of the few mill houses in the city that are so well preserved. The menu is varied and 'the mill' is run with love! Without a doubt an absolute recommendation, also for celebrations and business meals. After the renovation and the addition of the winter garden over the wooden terrace, the ambience is at least as beautiful as before! Try it out, be amazed😃👍👍👍

Typically tasty pork; you get what you expect. The staff was very friendly, but we still had to wait a while for service even though the store wasn't full. The furnishings are very cozy and the ambience is just right. Toilets were very clean and well equipped. I'd love to come back here.
