Kantine im Schauspielhaus in Hamburg

Man kann das Ambiente originell oder armselig empfinden, das sei jedem Besucher selbst überlassen. Das sogenannte Speisenangebot ist jedenfalls an Armseligkeit kaum zu überbieten, schlecht schmeckende Salate und die übelste ˋ Currywurst ˋ, der ich je begegnet bin. Einmal und nie wieder.

From 12 p.m. until the start of the performance there is warm food and drinks are available throughout. If you're lucky, you might discover one or two other actors, especially after the performances. Take a look at the basement yourself. Directly at the main train station in Hamburg.

Immediately after the performance, the theater restaurant welcomed us very warmly. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. There was a cheerful tone in the restaurant. That inspired. The good organization should also be emphasized. Which restaurant is filled within minutes with 80-100 guests, all of whom want to be looked after. We went back the following day and will definitely visit the restaurant again the next time we visit Hamburg.

We came here before seeing a play in the Schauspielhaus. While the food arrived pretty quickly and the price was reasonable, it wasn’t something that I would order again. The atmosphere is definitely pretty cool down there in the basement. From time to time, the loudspeakers will come on, informing the staff (and everyone else) about the situation backstage. I liked that. It wasn’t easy to find a spot to sit down, since a large section is reserved for the staff. This is a Kantine, after all. I guess I would come back for a drink to take in the atmosphere. For food: probably not. Still, it’s worth having a look.

A lunch visit to the Schauspielhaus Hamburg canteen on Kirchenallee. A friendly welcome and service. A delicious lentil stew with sausage garnish was just what we needed for this weather.

Were in the performance with Heinz Strunk. They didn't have any cash with them and were pointed out by the upper bars to the canteen in the basement because you could pay there by card. When we arrived there, with many other guests, we were told by a very unfriendly service employee that this was not his job! (What exactly? Operating the EC device?) He asked his employee from the kitchen and all he got was a flippant comment that the boss wasn't there. Competencies regarding customer friendliness and the knowledge of how to use sources of money in a sold-out house are not available. I wouldn't go to the canteen again for this reason. The ambience is nice. I can't say anything about the food.

The food used to be super good and the service was very friendly. Now you pay very high prices for below average food. We had a lentil soup that simply consisted of broth and some vegetables for just under €7 and pasta with eggplant, béchamel sauce and parmesan for around €9. The eggplants were simply fried in fat without much seasoning and the béchamel sauce tasted of nothing and the parmesan was completely missing.

This layout and this unfriendly service are impossible. I won't go there anymore. It used to be comfortable.

I still know the canteen as it was before Corona. The people there were friendly and the food was really above average for a canteen. These people wanted to make everything better, better food and a better atmosphere. None of this seems to have worked so far.

I ate fried fish today, the quality was simply subterranean... I am a trained chef myself and you don't always have to value ready-made products. You can do a lot of things yourself that are of better quality and cheaper in price... A tartar sauce is quick to make and so is a breading... Even the potato cucumber salad, homemade cheaper and better... Well, of course it could also be that there is a lack of staff!

As is typical for the canteen, there is a daily changing offering. Unfortunately for non-employees, the choice of seating is limited. This is made up for by the price/performance ratio. The location in the basement under the theater is also something special.

I ordered the salad. For 9 euros 90 it was nothing. In the past, you could get a rich salad bowl here for significantly less money (6 euros, as I recall). Now a flat plate - with little on it, most of it pale iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, a few slices of cucumber, four to five small cubes of sheep's cheese, the whole thing carelessly arranged. Maybe I forgot a vegetable - or I didn't find it. Plus dry bread that was dry on the cut surface. I kindly returned the bread and was given bread with a dry cut surface again. It was only 1pm, so the bread was pre-sliced ​​sometime mid-morning and then left long enough to dry. There was no dressing as such, it was apparently just vinegar and oil. I don't usually write reviews about food, but here there is a big gap between price and performance. There weren't many people there at that time - perhaps the quality and price (despite inflation) had developed a little far apart.

Essen ist OK - Standardkantinenessen. Der Preis ist entsprechend niedrig. Das Mobilar ist ziemlich alt. Um satt zu werden reicht es.

Direkt am Bahnhof. Lecker, preiswert, kultig. Leider nur wochentags geöffnet.

Hier kann man günstig und gut zu Mittag essen. Drei Stammessen zur Auswahl. Man sitzt gemütlich und das Theaterflair tut ein Übriges.

Leider haben die Spagetti nicht geschmeckt, die Soße war ein fertig Produkt und hat nach gar nichts geschmeckt. Der Service war la la, die Athomasphäre war ansonsten gut und entspannt.....

Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Kantinen gibt es hier gute Köche, insgesamt sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Das Essen ist gut! Sehr preiswert! ....und das mitten in der Hamburger City. Es geht immer schnell, die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich....was will man mehr? Ich liebe es.

Die Salat ist sehr groß und lecker.

Es ist eine Kantine, es ist kein Restaurant! Wer diesen Ort besucht darf sich auf einen Raum mittlerer Größe freuen, der sehr gut besucht ist und an dem es so geräuschvoll zugeht, dass eine geruhsame Mittagspause definitiv auszuschließen ist. Das Angebot ist bodenständig aber mit Liebe gemacht. Ich hatte heute die Hackpfanne mit grünen Bohnen und Kartoffeln. Hier bekommt man genau was man bestellt und wird nicht enttäuscht. Durch den Geräuschpegel des Raumes fühlte ich nach dem letzten Bissen den starken Drang die Kantine schnell wieder verlassen zu wollen, es kommen auch schon die Nächsten.

Einer der besten mittagstisch Plätze die ich kenne. Recht große Auswahl zu sehr geringen Preisen Punkt und schmackhaft ist es auch. Und die Menschen, die dort arbeiten sind mehr als freundlich. für den einen oder anderen mag es gewöhnungsbedürftig sein, dass man erstmal an der Kasse bestellt und bezahlt Komma dann sein Essen aber an den Tisch gebracht bekommt. und völlig in Ordnung ist es auch, dass man nachher sein Besteck sein Papier und seinen Teller sortiert in die Rückgabe stellt.

Perfekt für die Mittagspause. Netter Service. Man bekommt das Essen sehr schnell serviert und es ist immer sehr lecker. Über die Woche eine schöne Auswahl und Abwechslung auf der Karte.

Faire Preise, leckeres Essen, super schnelle Bedienung - perfekt für den Mittagstisch.

Ein guter Ort, um mittags in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs zu essen. Kleine aber ausreichende Auswahl an Speisen. Erst bestellen und bezahlen, das Essen wird dann an den Tisch gebracht. Nettes Ambiente und auch zur betriebsamen Mittagszeit nicht zu laut.

der Service ist gleich null. Man muss sich selbst die Getränke holen und an der Theke die Speisen bestellen. Dass man sie sich nicht noch selbst kochen muss ist hier wahrscheinlich schon als Luxus zu verstehen. Der einzige Kellner irrt dann mit den Gerichten von Tisch zu Tisch und fragt nach der Bestellung. Das Lokal liegt nicht nur im Keller. Es ist einfach unterirdisch.

Etwas versteckt aber sehr zu empfehlen. Kleine Vorspeise für schmales Geld und gute wechselnde Hauptgerichte neben alltimern wie Currywurst Pommes. Die wechselnden Gerichte sind aber der Bringer für unter 7 Euro. Auch richtig günstig für die ecke.

Die Kantine im DSH kann, was Speisen, Getränke und Service angeht, nur als Trauerspiel gewertet werden. Es ist unverständlich, wieso die Intendantin hier nicht für Abhilfe sorgt und eine Gastronomie organisiert, die der größten deutschen Sprechbühne mit ihrem hohen Niveau und Anspruch gerchet wird. So ist es eine Schande!

Talvez o lugar mais barato pra se almoçar bem em Hamburgo, em frente à estação central e dento (ou fora) do teatro. Qualquer prato custa 6 euros até às 14h, e depois desse horário eles saem pelos mesmos 6 euros, só que com uma bebida incluída. Há sempre duas opções diferentes por dia, além dos clássicos diários, como Bratwurst mit Pommes!

Lage direkt am Bahnhof genial. Treppe runter und man fühlt sich wie in einem Theatersaal. Tolle Atmosphäre, wenn auch etwas laut. Jeder darf rein. Das Stammessen ist für 3,50 Euro unschlagbar günstig. Alles andere eher nicht. Currywurst Pommes 5,90 Euro ist nicht gerade billig. Glas Cola 1,60 Euro. Tipp: ab 14 Uhr ist ein Getränk frei.

Nach der Vorstellung des Schauspielhauses bietet sich der Besuch der großen Kantine an, in der man ab und an auch einmal auf den einen oder anderen Mimen der jeweiligen Vorstellung trifft. Das Essen und die Getränke sind gut, die Atmosphäre prickelnd und ein wenig theatralisch aufgeladen und durchaus noch geschaffen für ein anhaltendes Gespräch über die jeweilige Inszenierung, aber auch nur für einen Small Talk kann man sich da bei Wein oder Bierchen mit den Theater Begeisterten treffen. Immerhin : eine Kantine an einem kultur- historischer Ort !

Am Hauptbahnhof in Hamburg ankommend, ist es eine gute Idee, die Kantine des Deutschen Schauspielhauses zu besuchen. Der Mittagstisch ist gut, schnell und man schnuppert an der Schauspielhaus-Atmosphäre. Ein guter Tipp für Reisende, die nicht Fast-Food mit Bahnhofsrauschen wollen.

Meestal kun je bij restaurants, verbonden aan een theater zijn, lekker eten en ook hier. Heerlijk buiten op 't terras genieten van flamkuchen met een goed glas wijn erbij.

I went to this kantine because I had just arrived in hamburg and was confused about where to go, the menu outside was nice and cheap. however it was a mistake, food was below mediocre. Chicken pasta with pesto, the chicken was pink and the pesto bland. Also had to clean up the table after ourselves. I don't know why it was busy most tables were full. Wouldn't return

Die Kantine im Deutschen Schauspielhaus bietet sowohl für die Beschäftigten des Theaters als auch für Gäste eine täglich variierende Auswahl an einfachen aber soliden und meist schmackhaften Mittagsgerichten. Angeboten werden vier Tagesgerichte zum Preis von 2,00 bis 4,90 Euro. Dazu gibt es weitere Auswahlmöglichkeiten (Wochengericht, Schlemmergericht und verschiedene Pasta-Variationen). Man bestellt am Tresen, von wo man Bestecke und Getränke mitnimmt. Die Gerichte werden an den Tisch gebracht. Zumindest Mittags entspricht das Ambiente dem Namen: Kantine. Mehr will man hier auch gar nicht sein. Die einfachen Räume liegen im Untergeschoss (keine Fenster), wo ein Teil für das Personal des Schauspielhauses abgetrennt ist. Bei gutem Wetter gibt es einige Tische vor dem Eingang, wo man gut sitzen kann (hier ist alles Selbstbedienung). Für die Preise sind die angebotenen Gerichte lecker und schmackhaft. Kulinarische Genüsse darf man allerdings nicht erwarten. Auch wer Sightseeing-Ambiente möchte dessen Erwartungen werden in den Restaurants an den Landungsbrücken oder in der neuen Hafencity (allerdings für den fast zehnfachen Preis) sicher eher erfüllt. Wer aber im Zentrum von Hamburg gut, schnell, günstig (und kultivierter als im Imbiss- oder Fast-Food-Ambiente) zu Mittag essen möchte dem können wir die Kantine im Deutschen Schauspielhaus nur empfehlen.

Der Eingang zur "Kantine" liegt gleich links neben dem Schauspielhaus und das Restaurant praktisch unter dem Schauspielhaus. Wir waren nach...
