Everything was perfect here. Great service, delicious and high quality food with fair pricing. We loved everything, especially the Schnitzel and the fish. Would recommend a visit here and will come back. We also thought the atmosphere was very nice, indoor, with nice tables, chairs and place settings.

I really enjoy going to the Schwarzreiter Tagesbar. Whether it's for a small special occasion or simply because I enjoy the impeccable service and excellent food. And not to forget the wonderfully diverse crowd. The cocktails are also top-notch. I've been there for the Daily Dish on Thursdays – the schnitzel was perfect, in my opinion, one of the best in the city (I haven't tried all of them yet). I've also been to the restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Everything was truly impeccable. The only recommended enhancement would be more training to accommodate elderly and people with disabilities. My father is visually impaired and we were taken through the kitchen which was not an easier path. Other than that, we adore the food, service, and ambiance at the highest level.

An Evening at the Schwarzreiter – A Feast for the Senses This evening we were privileged to dine at the Schwarzreiter – and what an experience it was! The chef behind the stove, Franz Josef Unterlechner, not only cooks with his head, but above all with his heart, body, and soul. His sauces? A dream! And that's just the beginning – the rest of the menu is in no way inferior. Special praise goes to the young, very dedicated service team. Simply perfect, friendly, and super nice, just like the chef himself, who puts his heart and soul into his guests and their needs. Simply fantastic!! It's clear to us: This man cooks at a star level. A Michelin star in the culinary world would be more than deserved. The only question that remains is: Will this fantastic value for money still be there? We hope so – and pray a little bit.

Schwarzreiter Restaurant (Fine Dining) – On the Way Back to the Stars Located in the heart of Munich, in the historic Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten on Maximilianstraße, lies Schwarzreiter Fine Dining. Here, classic Vier Jahreszeiten hotel charm meets a pleasantly modern interpretation, both in terms of the interior and the cuisine. The Schwarzreiter dining room is elegant without being overly opulent. The interior design combines the hotel's historic nobility with contemporary elements. You feel well looked after, surrounded by subtle colors, clean lines, and high-quality interiors – a setting that lives up to the hotel's standards. The service throughout the evening was very attentive, charming, and already surprisingly confident – especially considering that this was the second serving of a completely new menu. Minor uncertainties, such as the accidental serving of an amuse-bouche despite a previously communicated intolerance, were handled professionally and with confidence. The cuisine is ambitious, modern, and precise. You can clearly feel that they're working towards the next Michelin star here – and doing so with style. The Wagyu, the oyster, and the rhubarb pre-dessert are particularly memorable: The "Bavarian Wagyu" was a powerful yet delicate main course with Japanese umami depth, only slightly marred by a slightly overly salty side dish that unnecessarily overpowered the excellent meat. The Winner Oyster – the chef's award-winning dish: A shellfish-like love letter to texture and flavor that absolutely deserves the "Prix International ArsNova de cuisine d'auteur" title. Finally, the rhubarb with tonka bean | ginger | raspberry | meringue. The pre-dessert is the perfect spring greeting: fresh, acidic, creative – a true highlight. In direct comparison, the actual dessert unfortunately seemed pale and unspectacular on the tongue. Conclusion: A creative, ambitious menu, good and friendly service, and a stylish ambiance make the visit worthwhile. The evening wasn't perfect (yet) – minor flaws in the details prevented it from achieving the truly outstanding "star moment." But one thing is clear: This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and is more than just scratching the surface of the Michelin-starred world.

It took almost 1.5 hours until we got the main course after the starter. Wiener Schnitzel a bit disappointing, very hard breading that hardly puffs up from the meat. Very few cranberries with a lot of jam. Is the potato salad homemade? I can't say it.

The Daily Dish is one of the best offers among Munich fine dining and best value-for-money. And they have the offer for weekends as well, perfect for lunch in the city center. The only drawback is that the menu is usually updated Monday morning for the upcoming week. The regular offerings look amazing too.

Updated review (visited March 2025): Another successful evening. Service was a bit clumsy this time (appetizer spilled, generally leaving a lot of moisture on the table (when pouring)). Seven course menu again excellent and the greetings from the kitchen anyway. Wine recommendation was great again this time. Rating for the restaurant (January 2023): A brilliant 6-course menu, very pleasant and professional service, a charming sommelier (thanks for the wine recommendation) and a friendly chef. What more could you want from a successful evening?

The breakfast buffet is extremely good. For 50€ per person you get fresh juices, a very nice buffet, champagne... - whatever your heart desires at breakfast. The highlight for me are the poached eggs with homemade hollandaise (Egg Royal). The service is also first class, you are always greeted in a friendly manner and served with coffee and the like. We'll be back!

Wir durften einen wunderschönen Abend im Schwarzreiter Restaurant beim Winzer Dinner verbringen. Es gab ein 5 Gang Menü mit passenden Weinen des Weingut Waßmer. Die Weine und der Sekt waren alle hervorragend, aber absolut begeistert waren wir von den Speisen. Allesamt sehr gut abgeschmeckt und präsentiert. Unser persönliches Highlight waren der Taschenkrebs mit Kaffee, Kardamon und Mandarine und die Jacobsmuschel mit Ossetra Kaviar, Blumenkohl, Eigelb und Kalamansi. Ein Träumchen!!! Besonders hervorzuheben ist außerdem der sehr freundliche Service und die charmante Sommelière. Als ich die Bewertungen hier gelesen habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich die Bewertungen mit denen der Schwarzreiter Tagesbar etwas vermischen. Dies nur zur Info, wenn man sich für das Gourmetrestaurant interessiert.

Ready-made potato salad for Wiener Schnitzel! At first glance I noticed the yellow tint of the potato salad. After a tasting fork, the benzoic acid taste was a clear indication. When asked about this, the service staff reacted indignantly and acted as if they had no idea. A little later she came out of the kitchen snidely with an apology from the chef: "You're right - it really is a ready-made salad. Can I offer you a dessert on the house? Not that there's a bad review..." Conclusion: The desire for positive reviews is obviously greater than bringing high-quality food to the guest's table...

I'd especially like to highlight the Wiener Schnitzel: golden brown and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside – simply perfectly prepared. A true homage to classic cuisine. Beautiful place, excellent food and service. I went with colleagues for a business dinner and we really enjoyed it. They also had a wardrobe even for our suitcases, so we could be more comfortable. We had schnitzel and several other plates, all delicious!

I would like to rate my experience today at 9:15 p.m. The ambience and service are top, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for what you get. Our jackets were taken away from us straight away and we got the best table by the window - maybe because it wasn't that crowded today. Another plus point is the flexible reservation. I can adjust my booking spontaneously or cancel it in an emergency if something comes up. A small point of criticism: I ordered the “cheese plate” because it was under the “dessert/sweet” category on the menu. So I expected it to be something sweet and ended up being surprised. Since I didn't want a savory dish, I left the dish untouched. Certainly it is very tasty, but it would have been perfect if it had not been included in the bill in this case. Of course it was my mistake, but I would have been particularly happy about a small gesture in this situation. Nevertheless, my rating remains 5 stars, and I was also happy to tip €10. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

1. Food poisoning from lunch here. I suspect it was the beef tartar or the oysters. As I write this, I’m on the toilet tonight right before my flight tomorrow - not recommended. 2. Food tasted fine at the time though. One nit pick was my steak was a little cold when it got served to me. Maybe they wanted to bring the all dishes on at the same time. 3. They moved our reservation time involuntarily. Luckily we didn’t have any plans that would be disrupted.

Beautiful, very stylish atmosphere, reminds me every time of the beautiful bar restaurants in London. Service was on point, as was the food. What is particularly appealing to me is a menu with dishes that are still available even after several months, and that are always of the same, excellent quality. All in all, a really great location, with the bonus of being able to go to the hotel bar or the smoking lounge afterwards. A very clear recommendation for all connoisseurs!

Ich hatte bereits letztes Jahr von dem Gondelfrühstück (pro Person 59 Euro) gelesen, war aber für eine Reservierung zu spät dran. Auch dieses Jahr war es nicht so einfach. Dieses gibt es nur an den Adventswochenenden. Entweder für 2, 4, 6 oder 12 Personen. Ich reservierte eine Gondel für 6 Personen. Die Zeit ist hart begrenzt von 9:30 bis 11:30 Uhr. So fand ich mich bereits ein paar Minuten vor meinen Gästen vor Ort ein. Die Gondeln befinden sich vor dem Kempinski-Hotel „Vier Jahreszeiten“ und werden vom Restaurant Schwarzreiter betrieben. Da es recht kühl war, hatten wir uns alle etwas wärmer angezogen. Die Jacken wurden uns vom Personal abgenommen und innerhalb des Restaurant aufgehangen. Die Gondel selbst wurde mit einem kleinen Heizgerät gewärmt. Dieses musste aber auf gewissen Kontakten im Holzboden stehen, damit es betrieben wurde, was wir erst später bemerkten. Der schmale Tisch wurde mit allerlei Köstlichkeiten gefüllt. So gab es für jeden ein Glas Champagner sowie Orangensaft. Dazu kamen unbegrenzte Heißgetränke wie Kaffeespezialitäten und Tee. Auf einem Brettl kamen verschiedene Wurstsorten sowie Käse. Auf einer Etagere befand sich Obst hauchdünn geschnitten, Marmelade, Honig und Nutella sowie Butter. Der Lachs samt Kren war auf einem separaten Teller. Das Bircher Müsli wurde in einem kleinen Weck-Glas serviert. Da der erste Brotkorb nur helle Semmeln und Croissants beinhaltete, fragten wir nach Körnersemmeln, welche kurz darauf geliefert wurden. Zusätzlich konnte sich jeder eine Eierspeise bringen lassen. Zur Auswahl standen Pochiertes Ei mit frischem Trüffel, Omelette, Spiegelei mit Kaviar und Choron Soße. Als die Teller serviert wurden, brach Hektik aus, da kein Platz mehr auf dem Tisch war. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass wir nur zu fünft statt sechs Personen da waren. So stellten wir die Teller mit schon leicht belegter Semmel auf unseren Knien ab, um die Eierspeisen halbwegs auf dem Tisch platzieren zu können. Es schmeckte alles köstlich, auch wenn es teils nur noch lauwarm war. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass die Teller ohne Haube durch das Lokal nach draußen transportiert wurden. Ähnlich ging es den Kaffeespezialitäten. Grundsätzlich ist die Idee des Frühstücks sehr gut inkl. Nachfüllservice. Allerdings ist das System nicht komplett durchdacht. Als wir leere Teller hatten oder bestimmte Dinge nach orderten wollten, musste eine Person aufstehen und im Hotel auf uns aufmerksam machen. Schön wäre, wenn es hier eine kleine Klingel oder ähnliches innerhalb der Gondel gibt, über die wir den Service hätten verständigen können. Da die große Gondel neben uns nicht belegt war, wäre es zudem praktisch gewesen, wenn wir hätten ausweichen können. Die Gondel für 6 Personen ist aufgrund des ganzen Geschirrs und Platz eigentlich ideal für 4 Personen. Um 11:15 Uhr wurde die letzte Runde für Getränke oder ähnliches ausgerufen. Schlag 11:30 Uhr wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass die Rechnung bereit ist. Im Nachhinein sah ich, dass die Gondeln ab 12 Uhr für Raclette bzw. Fondue genutzt werden können.

Zunächst warteten wir überhaupt 20 Minuten bis überhaupt eine Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Dann dauerte es nochmals über 10 Minuten bis die Getränke kamen. Der Service langsam und überfordert. 1 Stunde nach Bestellung Hauptgang erhalten! Das Essen war gut, aber kein Highlight. Mein Hauptgericht die Seezunge kam nicht wie extra bestellt mit zusätzlichem Gemüse. Dies wurde vergessen. Fisch war lauwarm. Jedes gute „Dorf Restaurant“ ist schneller und professioneller Alles in Summe UNAKZEPTABEL. Wir (2 Pers.) haben zu Mittag gegessen für über 500,00€ (Kaviar & Co.) Als GHA Platinum Member kenne ich aus Restaurants der Kempinski Häuser andere Leistungen.

Today we went to the Saturday brunch in the Schwarzreiter restaurant for the first time. Brunch is served table by table - not a buffet. The service was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was creative and first-class and the subsequent four-course menu was imaginative and excellent in all respects. We can only recommend this Saturday brunch to anyone who wants to experience something culinary.

We reserved a table for today two weeks ago and were very disappointed with our visit. When we arrived we were given a very uncomfortable table in a corner, right next to the reception desk and the corridor to the toilets. There were many other, nicer places available, but when we asked if we could move, we were told that this was not possible. You would have had to specify your preferred spot when making the reservation - but we didn't know that. We took our assigned seat and were completely ignored for about 10 minutes. During this time, other guests who obviously did not have reservations were seated in better seats. The whole experience was very disappointing and negatively affected our impression of this restaurant. We expected much more, especially given the high reputation of the Schwarzreiter Tagesbar. It's a shame that a matter as simple as choosing a seat could spoil the experience so much. The condescending manner of the receptionist also made us feel unwelcome. After the long wait, we left very dissatisfied and without consuming anything.

Starter and oysters really good, service too. Unfortunately, both main courses were not good. If we come back, it will be for the oysters or fish in general, unfortunately the rest was not culinary convincing. Pasta is oily, artichoke or the stock is salty. But there may also have been bad luck.

Tuve el placer de cenar en Schwarzreiter Tagesbar durante mi reciente viaje en solitario a Múnich, y resultó ser una de las mejores comidas de todo mi viaje! El servicio fue muy amable y atento, ayudándome a decidir qué pedir. Terminé empezando con una deliciosa sopa tradicional de caldo con albóndigas. Sencillo delicioso y cálido. Luego disfruté de las albóndigas de ternera como mi plato principal, ¡muy bien presentadas y con un sabor fantástico! Terminando, disfruté de la mousse de chocolate más hermosa que he tenido el placer de disfrutar. Te garantizo que volveré en mi próxima visita a Munich. Creo que es genial que además de la alta cocina servida en el restaurante Michelin contiguo, el Tagesbar ofrece opciones a la carta deliciosas sin romper el banco. Bravo!

Ich war mit lieben Freunden am vergangenen Samstagabend im Restaurant Schwarzreiter. Ganz großes Kino, jeder Gang ein Gaumenerlebnis, vor allem die Saucen sind ein Highlight. Dafür, dass Chef hinterm Herd, Herr Unterlechner noch keinen Michelin *Stern hat, dürfte es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit sein, bis er diese Auszeichnung von hoher Stelle erhält. Besonders hervorzuheben und lobenswert war der sehr freundliche und kompetente Service der beiden Damen, die uns über den Abend begleitet haben. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen bleibt an dieser Stelle zu erwähnen. Die Weingläser passen nicht zu den edlen Weinen. Her wünscht man sich, passend zum edlem und eleganten Ambiente, auch ein entsprechendes hochwertiges Tischgedeck (Couvert)

Es war ein wunderbarer Abend! Das Menü war sensationell, kreativ und geschmacklich auf dem Punkt. Dazu ein toller Service, sehr freundlich und kompetent. Meiner Meinung nach gehört der Schwarzreiter derzeit zu den Top 5 Restaurants in München. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team! Noch ein kleiner Tipp: Ich empfehle neue Rotweingläser, diese Gläser passen nicht zu einem guten Rotwein ….

We regularly eat here in front of the theater. Very good food. Daily menu until 6 p.m. unbeatable price. Wiener Schnitzel is terrific. Top service from the men. Unfortunately, the lady in charge (?) wears her nose quite high. Recently, for example, it was supposedly not possible to reserve a table by the window (otherwise never been a problem), which only happened after emphatically pointing out this and the fact that we are there regularly, but were then done reluctantly. The table by the window was then on the wall with a 15cm window. Unnecessary!

My wife and I went here for their fine dining experience for my birthday. Overall poor service, miscommunication among staff all around. Food taking forever to come (it took 4+ hours to finish). They rarely check in on you in between to the point that I was so thirsty and had to pour my own water from the stand. Not the fine dining service experience I expected that. 2 appetizer, 4 course main, 2 desserts for two people cost us around 365 euros. Do not recommend to anyone.

Price-performance ratio is not appropriate for this top address in a prime location - the public often won't notice, as the density of apparently Russian oligarchs and guests from the Emirates is quite high. You can get nicer, better and more friendly things in Munich.

Durch die Fine Dining Box sind wir auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Das Menü ist eine einzigartige Kreation von Geschmackserlebnissen. Beim Service ist noch Spielraum nach oben. Es dauerte über 30 Minuten, bis wir zumindest das Mineralwasser bekamen. Während die Menüfolge aufmerksam und gleichmäßig serviert wurde, wurden wir bei den Getränken vernachlässigt. Das dürfte nicht passieren.

We enjoyed the daily dish in the day bar for the first time. Very appealing ambience that evokes peace and relaxation. Extremely professional, careful, courteous service staff, especially Franziska and Luca. The food was a great visual and taste delight, be it the main course or the dessert, so that no culinary wishes were left unfulfilled. Absolutely recommended!

Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal hier und es schmeckt einfach großartig. Diesmal hatten wir Wiener Schnitzel. Dazu einen guten Weißwein. Serviert von einem erfahrenen Ober. Beim letzten Besuch hatten wir Kalbfleischpflanzerl. Die haben genauso einzigartig geschmeckt. Der Service so, wie man ihn in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie erwartet. Also einfach perfekt.

We booked this place for lunch at 2 pm. Very pretty, nice, posh environment. Took a very long time to take our order. 2 starters, burrata and Consome, 4 mains. A long time into having ordered, we got the starters. Unexplainable since burrata is not cooked at all and consome should be made so what was the delay for? After that, we were already well into 3.45 pm, (nearly 2 hours), still no mains. Went to ask, and the girl at the counter replied, "Would you like to leave?" "What? No, I want my food. " . After that, our server, a very nice girl, came to tell us that they order the mains once you have finished your starters, hence the delay. Well, in my business experience with restaurants, we ordered the mains once they had their starters, so there is no more than a few minutes between one dich and the next. This way, the customer doesn't lose their appetite and gets angry in the process. In regards of the food: burrata and consome were nice, risottos niced as well, schnitzel was good, however I asked to replace my daughters potato salad for French fries, they agreed but never did. I was not going to wait for them to replace it (at this point, it's past 2 hours there and 4 pm for a lunch) so she simply ate half her dish. They invited my sister to a cake (single portion, just for her (4 spoons just in case, but c'mon. It was her birthday) but didn't even consider a little something for the rest of the guests due to not just the birthday but the two and a half hour meal. Nothing. Not even a coffee or a little chocolate invite. Big disappointment. We chose this place due to the good reviews, but if you want to have a nice memory of a meal, I can not recommend this place at all.

The Schwarzreiter is a very special restaurant, reservations are a must here. Service is top notch, the menu is world class and so is the ambience. I love coming here to celebrate special occasions or just to enjoy a wonderful evening. Clear recommendation!

I had a meal at the restaurant, and the overall taste of the food and atmosphere was good. They were very kind, pouring an extra glass of wine for me, but since I was not familiar with the German tipping system, I felt like I tipped a small amount compared to the quality of service I received, so looking back, I feel sorry. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

Luxurious dining is definitely possible here: Both the taste and appearance of the drinks and meals presented are excellent. Particularly noteworthy is the daily menu (salad/menu/espresso) which, with a price of €25, is unbeatable in terms of the high quality -> It changes daily, but can be viewed on the website. Reservations online or by phone are recommended because the restaurant is busy.

The food was terrible and so cheep quality. so expensive for nothing. They give you poor quality food in reach area but terrible. The steak was not mentioned what area it is, just mentioned prime but when it comes was bad meat. The veal schnitzel was kind of empty from inside and was cooked with bad oil (I had terrible stomach pain the whole day). And most horrible was beef tartar which came as just plain minced meat with no herbs or anything but lettuce on top... !! Even the French fries was frozen!! Not edible at all... for such a price, terrible experience. Typical tourist trap. Fancy restaurants with disaster food!!

Shortly before the Kleine Kameel closed its doors, we were lucky enough to discover this gem. On one of the first hot summer days, we found our way there at lunchtime and luckily found a free table. The three courses we chose were all wonderful, and the apricot dumplings for dessert were second to none. Although the factors of "Munich," "unfamiliar guests," and "the restaurant's imminent closure" suggested otherwise, the service was excellent, personal, relaxed, friendly, yet completely unobtrusive, unpretentious, and authentic. Thank you for the wonderful time.

This is just a tiny bit out of the way for a tourist. This was evidenced by all the locals in business attire at lunch. The fixed menu for lunch was a good experience.

After this restaurant received such good reviews, I thought we'd go there! Unfortunately, we can't share this review. We went there with our children, but unfortunately, they don't really have any food for small children, and the staff was very inflexible in that regard. We had to wait forever for the food. Overall, we were very dissatisfied and paid a lot for it!

We had a wonderful dining experience here tasting the chef's menu with my family. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. We would definitely recommend, and very large portion sizes for a tasting menu!
