Wie immer Münchens schönster Brunch und die Kreationen von Herrn Unterlechner waren wieder köstlich!

Tolle Präsentation der Speisen und geschmacklich auf Sterne-Niveau. Auch die Getränke waren außergewöhnlich lecker. Das Personal immer freundlich mit einem Lächeln.

Wir haben den Gourmet-Lunch (12:30-15:00) im “Schwarzreiter” sehr genossen. Angenehmes Ambiente, sehr gute Speisen, hervorragender Champagner und ausgezeichneter Service von Frau Schenk und ihren Kolleg:innen. Gerne wieder.

Wir waren gestern Abend zu Viert in diesem wunderschönen Gourmet-Restaurant mit einem sehr netten und aufmerksamen Service. Wir haben uns für das 7Gänge Menü (dies zu kürzen, wäre möglich) entschieden und waren begeistert. Einfach ein Genuss für den Gaumen und die Sinne! Geschmacklich hervorragend und so kreativ angerichtet. Der Küchenchef Franz-Josef Unterlechner kam zum Abschluss persönlich vorbei und bestätigte unseren gewonnenen Eindruck, dass bei der Komposition und Zusammenstellung des Menüs viel Herzblut von ihm und seinem Team in jedes Detail geflossen ist – von der Auswahl der Zutaten bis hin zur harmonischen Abstimmung der einzelnen Gänge. Fazit: ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die einen besonderen Abend erleben möchten und Wert auf ein stilvolles Ambiente, hervorragendes Essen und einen charmanten Service legen.

Münchens schönster Brunch - da stimmt einfach alles!

Am 30 Januar war unser dritter Besuch im Schwarzreiter. Und wie jedes Mal war das Essen von höchster Qualität und ein Augen- und Gaumenschmaus. Wir haben uns sogar an Kutteln gewagt und waren vom Ergebnis begeistert. Im Schwarzreiter - so sind wir überzeugt - würden wir uns inzwischen an alles wagen, was wir sonst eher kritisch beäugen würden. Das Schöne ist immer am Schluss das sehr angenehme Gespräch mit Herrn Unterlechner, ein sehr sympathischer und bescheiden gebliebener Mensch und natürlich ein begnadeter Koch. Wir freuen uns auf noch viele schöne Abende in diesem Restaurant, das nicht viel Furore macht und doch so viel bietet. Für uns ist es immer 3 Sterne wert.

Ein genussvoller Abend bei einem 7 Gang Menü auf höchstem Niveau. Dazu eine stimmige Weinbegleitung. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, im Schwarzreiter Restaurant das Gourmet‑Brunch zu genießen, und es war ein absolut herausragendes Erlebnis. Die Qualität der Speisen war exzellent, frisch, kreativ und perfekt abgestimmt. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Kombination aus feinster Küche und einer angenehm entspannten Atmosphäre. Der Service war ebenso erstklassig: aufmerksam, professionell und stets freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich wertgeschätzt. Für mich gehört das Schwarzreiter zu den besten Adressen in München, wenn es um hochwertige Gastronomie geht. Klare Empfehlung – ich komme definitiv wieder!

Das gesamte Menü war ein einziges Kunstwerk! Absolute Spitzenküche und eine Bereicherung für München.

All show and no substance. Service was very poor. Long wait times at the table. Half an hour before we could even order drinks. The next table even got up because of the wait. The place was barely 50% full. The service was completely untrained. The food was mediocre. For the price, you expect more.

The Schwarzreiter daytime bar in Munich is a wonderful place to enjoy excellent cuisine in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere. The lunch menu is particularly recommended, impressing with its surprising variety, fresh ingredients, and creative combinations. Every component of the menu is perfectly seasoned, and the quality of the dishes reflects the signature style of a kitchen that harmoniously blends tradition and modernity. The lunch menu is a personal highlight for me and a reason to return again and again. My last visit was on December 8th.

The food was excellent, as always. Unfortunately, the receptionist was very unfriendly. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated at a table in the back corner, next to the reception desk. When we asked if we could possibly have a table by the window or with a view of the window, we were told no, as all the tables were apparently reserved. Three minutes after us, guests arrived who also didn't have a reservation (we were sitting right next to the reception desk and therefore overheard this), and they were immediately seated at a table by the window. We had previously been told that all the other tables were reserved. It got even more outrageous when a woman from the hotel came to the reception desk and said that two special guests were arriving who hadn't made a reservation but absolutely needed a table, and asked if a table could be made available for them. We were also guests at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten! Of course, this wasn't a problem for the staff, and these guests were immediately seated at a window table. This is completely unacceptable. It got even more outrageous when a woman from the hotel came to the reception desk and said that two special guests were arriving who hadn't made a reservation but still desperately needed a table, and asked if a table could be made available for them. We were also guests at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten! This was, of course, no problem for the staff, and they were immediately seated at a window table. This is simply unacceptable. * * * . ... It's a shame that not all guests are treated equally, regardless of their fame, status, money, etc. I really have no problem sitting at a table in the far corner, but then the rules should be the same for all guests, without special treatment!

The service was wonderful and the food excellent.

Best hotel and Restaurant in Munich !

The food at Schwarzreiter is excellent. Claudio is a wonderful host, always attentive and professional. Sofja at the bar is very friendly and always helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Er ist schon ein absoluter Stern unter Münchens. Top Restaurants.Warum Franz-Josef Unterlechner und sein Team noch keinen Michelin Stern bekam,gehört ebenso zu den Merkwürdigkeiten wie die Tatsache,das manche neue Sterne Träger in München zwar mit viel chi chi,aber auf dem Teller längst nicht das Niveau schaffen,wie es im Schwarzreiter Fine Dining seit drei Jahren kontinuierlich geboten wird . Wer in München auf Top Niveau essen gehen möchte, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Das harmonische, gediegen moderne Ambiente, ohne Katzentische und mit Abstand für eine gemütliche Unterhaltung wie auch der gute Service bilden den Rahmen für eine kreative, authentische Küche mit besten Zutaten, interessanten und gelungen Kombinationen wie Rehmedallion und Blutwurst im Schmorkraut, Kimchi mit Passionsfrucht und Hummer und sogar Kutteln mit Kaviar verbunden in einer so leckeren Saucen Harmonie, dass man enttäuscht ist, am Tellergrund angekommen zu sein. Great place – cozy atmosphere and excellent food! The schnitzel was the best I've had in a long time – perfectly prepared and truly delicious. The service was also very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

I've been here several times for lunch and it's very good. Live the fresh dishes, and also the very well made classics. Service is friendly, fast and welcoming. Prices are as expected from a restaurant at a top hotel. I'll for sure be back.

The food was overseasoned. The dish's composition was poor and not worth the price. The chanterelle mushrooms in the dish were overpowered. Overall, it tasted too lemony. A shame.

We were at the Schwarzreiter (daytime bar) again. As in the past, we thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly prepared and beautifully presented food, and the service was impeccable. However, the evening was marred by a large monitor mounted three meters across from my seat, on which photographs of the dishes on offer changed every 10 seconds (!). This neither fits the ambiance of such a restaurant nor does it allow for a truly enjoyable immersion in what is being offered. Such mini-goals are located in several places throughout the room. Whoever thought of something like this probably has a professional background in Sky-powered sports restaurants. Incidentally, the same applies to the royalty-free "music" (or rather, jingle) in the background. What a shame!

It's happened several times now that my table is occupied despite a reservation. I find it disgraceful. I spend a lot of money at your bar every week, and it's happened several times now that a reservation has been given away anyway. My colleagues and I will look for a new bar and won't recommend it. The icing on the cake is that I then have to endure a really rude attitude. No thanks. These days, there are good alternatives.

I'm in love! If you love excellent food, this is the place for you! In a very stylish setting with extremely attentive staff who provide impeccable service, I ate the best Wiener schnitzel of my life (46!). The perfect breading with the perfect cucumber and potato salad (which, let's be honest, usually goes down considerably if the schnitzel has already done its job). It was 100/10! The oysters with the ponzo and champagne dressing were also excellent...sorry, but simply amazing! Anyone visiting Munich should definitely reserve a table here. ❤️

Daily dish – once again, an excellent meal. Unfortunately, they forgot the espresso. We didn't notice until we were 300 meters away...then on our next visit 🙏

Wir haben das Restaurant Schwarzreiter zum Mittagessen besucht und uns für das Mittagsmenü entschieden, welches uns auf Nachfrage angeboten wurde. Mit dem Service und der Qualität waren wir sehr zufrieden.

We ordered the small Seasonal Salad, and it was perfect for two. We followed that with the meatballs and the Rossini steak. Both were very good. The steak includes duck liver (in case you don't like liver). The service was fantastic!

I've been there several times, including to the hotel. The food is great. Today we wanted to have a drink in the hotel beforehand. Even though we were dressed business casual, albeit in shorts, we weren't allowed in. So we immediately canceled the meal in the restaurant for six people. I've been to the Kempinski many times, but unfortunately, today will be the last time. But if you read the reviews of the hotel, things are also going downhill for the hotel management.

Absolute mass processing at lunchtime. The waiters seem stressed; you haven't even finished your starter before the main course is brought to your table. It's extremely stressful for me as a customer and takes away my time to enjoy the meal. Truly poor management. But the food is top-notch, as always! Kudos to the kitchen; it's always consistently good.

Daytime Bar Review The food is very good, but the Wiener schnitzel was a bit disappointing. I expected more. It tasted good, but nothing special. I would have preferred it if it had been fried in clarified butter. I maintain that it wasn't. I also read that the potato salad isn't homemade, but simply seasoned. That's completely unacceptable for the price.

Very good daily dish, good drinks, pleasant upscale clientele.

Whenever we're in Munich, there's no way around this restaurant. We try new things, but we always end up coming back for lunch because it's just so good. The ambiance is very elegant and tasteful, and the service is professional. The schnitzel? A dream! We've never eaten anything here that we didn't like. And they also regularly have special oyster days – another highlight!

Despite introducing ourselves, the table wasn't ready. We waited a long time before someone attended to us. Then we were parked halfway at the bar because the table wasn't ready. The aperitif should have been offered by then at the latest. The conversation between the person in charge at the bar and the manager in service was more important than the customers. The greeting from the kitchen came after the salad, and the ordered wine was served after we had ordered twice. The food was very good, which couldn't be compared to the poor service. The prices include impeccable service, which was abysmal. Thankfully, there are enough alternatives in Munich.

We visited the fine dining restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it! The 7-course menu was beautifully put together, the food was very artfully and imaginatively presented, and the wine was excellently selected. Das 7-Gang Menü war ganz toll zusammengestellt, das Essen sehr kunstvoll und einfallsreich angerichtet, der Wein war hervorragend ausgesucht. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll und der Service sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem ein perfekter Abend!

Everything was perfect here. Great service, delicious and high quality food with fair pricing. We loved everything, especially the Schnitzel and the fish. Would recommend a visit here and will come back. We also thought the atmosphere was very nice, indoor, with nice tables, chairs and place settings.

I really enjoy going to the Schwarzreiter Tagesbar. Whether it's for a small special occasion or simply because I enjoy the impeccable service and excellent food. And not to forget the wonderfully diverse crowd. The cocktails are also top-notch. I've been there for the Daily Dish on Thursdays – the schnitzel was perfect, in my opinion, one of the best in the city (I haven't tried all of them yet). I've also been to the restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Everything was truly impeccable. The only recommended enhancement would be more training to accommodate elderly and people with disabilities. My father is visually impaired and we were taken through the kitchen which was not an easier path. Other than that, we adore the food, service, and ambiance at the highest level.

Chef Unterlechner und sein Team schaffen es immer wieder die hohe Kunst der Spitzenküche mit einem hervorragenden Service zu verbinden, in einem harmonisch eleganten und nicht aufgesetzten Ambiente.  Hier vereinen sich nicht nur hervorragende Produkte, köstlich und äußerst kreativ, aber auch klar und unverfälscht präsentiert mit dem persönlichen Service zu einem fast unvergleichbaren Ganzen. Ein toller Abend, vielen Dank!

It's been a while since I last visited the Schwarzreiter Tagesbar. Nevertheless, it's worth catching up on the review. The restaurant offers an impressive culinary experience with excellent dishes and attentive, friendly service in an elegant setting.

Nos gustó tanto que visitamos dos veces para el almuerzo. Buena comida, buenas bebidas y mejor servicio. También tienen una buena selección de caviar.

An Evening at the Schwarzreiter – A Feast for the Senses This evening we were privileged to dine at the Schwarzreiter – and what an experience it was! The chef behind the stove, Franz Josef Unterlechner, not only cooks with his head, but above all with his heart, body, and soul. His sauces? A dream! And that's just the beginning – the rest of the menu is in no way inferior. Special praise goes to the young, very dedicated service team. Simply perfect, friendly, and super nice, just like the chef himself, who puts his heart and soul into his guests and their needs. Simply fantastic!! It's clear to us: This man cooks at a star level. A Michelin star in the culinary world would be more than deserved. The only question that remains is: Will this fantastic value for money still be there? We hope so – and pray a little bit.

Excellent local food in a very pleasant setting. The place is typically Bavarian, and the staff wears traditional clothing. Great food, generous portions, fantastic beer. And very clean toilets!

Schwarzreiter Restaurant (Fine Dining) – On the Way Back to the Stars Located in the heart of Munich, in the historic Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten on Maximilianstraße, lies Schwarzreiter Fine Dining. Here, classic Vier Jahreszeiten hotel charm meets a pleasantly modern interpretation, both in terms of the interior and the cuisine. The Schwarzreiter dining room is elegant without being overly opulent. The interior design combines the hotel's historic nobility with contemporary elements. You feel well looked after, surrounded by subtle colors, clean lines, and high-quality interiors – a setting that lives up to the hotel's standards. The service throughout the evening was very attentive, charming, and already surprisingly confident – ​​especially considering that this was the second serving of a completely new menu. Minor uncertainties, such as the accidental serving of an amuse-bouche despite a previously communicated intolerance, were handled professionally and with confidence. The cuisine is ambitious, modern, and precise. You can clearly feel that they're working towards the next Michelin star here – and doing so with style. The Wagyu, the oyster, and the rhubarb pre-dessert are particularly memorable: The "Bavarian Wagyu" was a powerful yet delicate main course with Japanese umami depth, only slightly marred by a slightly overly salty side dish that unnecessarily overpowered the excellent meat. The Winner Oyster – the chef's award-winning dish: A shellfish-like love letter to texture and flavor that absolutely deserves the "Prix International ArsNova de cuisine d'auteur" title. Finally, the rhubarb with tonka bean | ginger | raspberry | meringue. The pre-dessert is the perfect spring greeting: fresh, acidic, creative – a true highlight. In direct comparison, the actual dessert unfortunately seemed pale and unspectacular on the tongue. Conclusion: A creative, ambitious menu, good and friendly service, and a stylish ambiance make the visit worthwhile. The evening wasn't perfect (yet) – minor flaws in the details prevented it from achieving the truly outstanding "star moment." But one thing is clear: This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and is more than just scratching the surface of the Michelin-starred world.

It took almost 1.5 hours until we got the main course after the starter. Wiener Schnitzel a bit disappointing, very hard breading that hardly puffs up from the meat. Very few cranberries with a lot of jam. Is the potato salad homemade? I can't say it.

It is expensive but definitely worth it. Stuffed and gratin mushrooms, excellent starter. The lamb chops, delicious.

The food was excellent, the ambiance and service was fantastic. We took the 4 course meal in the fine dining section and it was a great experience. While expensive, it wasn't crazy and it was totally worth it. I'd highly recommend going there.

The food itself was awesome and all that, but one thing was really disgusting because there were rats in the toilet bahhh that was disgusting.🤮 For €125.99 a real cheek

Grandioser Service und exzellentes Menü! Immer wieder gerne.

The Daily Dish is one of the best offers among Munich fine dining and best value-for-money. And they have the offer for weekends as well, perfect for lunch in the city center. The only drawback is that the menu is usually updated Monday morning for the upcoming week. The regular offerings look amazing too.

Updated review (visited March 2025): Another successful evening. Service was a bit clumsy this time (appetizer spilled, generally leaving a lot of moisture on the table (when pouring)). Seven course menu again excellent and the greetings from the kitchen anyway. Wine recommendation was great again this time. Rating for the restaurant (January 2023): A brilliant 6-course menu, very pleasant and professional service, a charming sommelier (thanks for the wine recommendation) and a friendly chef. What more could you want from a successful evening?

The breakfast buffet is extremely good. For 50€ per person you get fresh juices, a very nice buffet, champagne... - whatever your heart desires at breakfast. The highlight for me are the poached eggs with homemade hollandaise (Egg Royal). The service is also first class, you are always greeted in a friendly manner and served with coffee and the like. We'll be back!

Tra i miei ristoranti preferiti! Eleganza, servizio impeccabile, ambiente accogliente, piatti eccezionali. Abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione completo, una vera e propria esperienza sensoriale. Non si può descrivere: bisogna provarla! Conto finale piuttosto alto, ma con nessun rimpianto!

An incredibly beautiful experience

Ready-made potato salad for Wiener Schnitzel! At first glance I noticed the yellow tint of the potato salad. After a tasting fork, the benzoic acid taste was a clear indication. When asked about this, the service staff reacted indignantly and acted as if they had no idea. A little later she came out of the kitchen snidely with an apology from the chef: "You're right - it really is a ready-made salad. Can I offer you a dessert on the house? Not that there's a bad review..." Conclusion: The desire for positive reviews is obviously greater than bringing high-quality food to the guest's table...

Wir durften einen wunderschönen Abend im Schwarzreiter Restaurant beim Winzer Dinner verbringen. Es gab ein 5 Gang Menü mit passenden Weinen des Weingut Waßmer. Die Weine und der Sekt waren alle hervorragend, aber absolut begeistert waren wir von den Speisen. Allesamt sehr gut abgeschmeckt und präsentiert. Unser persönliches Highlight waren der Taschenkrebs mit Kaffee, Kardamon und Mandarine und die Jacobsmuschel mit Ossetra Kaviar, Blumenkohl, Eigelb und Kalamansi. Ein Träumchen!!! Besonders hervorzuheben ist außerdem der sehr freundliche Service und die charmante Sommelière. Als ich die Bewertungen hier gelesen habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sich die Bewertungen mit denen der Schwarzreiter Tagesbar etwas vermischen. Dies nur zur Info, wenn man sich für das Gourmetrestaurant interessiert.

Very expensive, and the food is good but not exceptional. The bathrooms are really nice, the interior is stylish and inviting. The service was excellent and very attentive. Overall a nice place but the price doesn't quite justify the quality.

The Schwarzreiter impresses across the board – a stylish ambience, attentive service, and cuisine that delivers on its promises. I'd especially like to highlight the Wiener Schnitzel: golden brown and crispy on the outside, wonderfully tender on the inside – simply perfectly prepared. A true homage to classic cuisine. Beautiful place, excellent food and service. I went with colleagues for a business dinner and we really enjoyed it. They also had a wardrobe even for our suitcases, so we could be more comfortable. We had schnitzel and several other plates, all delicious!

Gourmet Restaurant auf top Niveau! Nicht nur das Ambiente und der Service, sondern vor allen Dingen die Küche überzeugen. Chefkoch Unterlechner gehört mit Abstand zu den Besten. In München gibt’s kaum vergleichbares!! Kreativität, Abstimmung, Balance , hier stimmt alles. Das Restaurant für den besonderen Anlass, es lohnt sich!

I would like to rate my experience today at 9:15 p.m. The ambience and service are top, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for what you get. Our jackets were taken away from us straight away and we got the best table by the window - maybe because it wasn't that crowded today. Another plus point is the flexible reservation. I can adjust my booking spontaneously or cancel it in an emergency if something comes up. A small point of criticism: I ordered the “cheese plate” because it was under the “dessert/sweet” category on the menu. So I expected it to be something sweet and ended up being surprised. Since I didn't want a savory dish, I left the dish untouched. Certainly it is very tasty, but it would have been perfect if it had not been included in the bill in this case. Of course it was my mistake, but I would have been particularly happy about a small gesture in this situation. Nevertheless, my rating remains 5 stars, and I was also happy to tip €10. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the restaurant!

Hervorragender Service, tolles Essen mit ausgezeichneter Geschmacksvielfalt und ganz großem handwerklichen Können, Ambiente sehr edel und total ruhig. Ein wunderschöner Abend für meine Frau und mich.

It is fantastic food, great service, lovely atmosphere. Recommended. It is a taste experience and you can tell they know their craft.

Das Menü war perfekt zusammengestellt – eine gelungene Mischung aus raffinierten Aromen und gesunden Zutaten. Jeder Gang überzeugte mit Kreativität, Geschmack und ansprechender Präsentation. Der Service war aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre angenehm. Ein echtes Genusserlebnis – absolut empfehlenswert!

Αποτελεί μέρος από έναν εμβληματικό χώρο σε γνωστό ξενοδοχειακό συγκρότημα του Μονάχου. Μας ικανοποίησε απόλυτα με το υψηλού επιπέδου service , τις γεύσεις των εδεσμάτων αλλά και τις πολύ λογικές τιμές.

1. Food poisoning from lunch here. I suspect it was the beef tartar or the oysters. As I write this, I’m on the toilet tonight right before my flight tomorrow - not recommended. 2. Food tasted fine at the time though. One nit pick was my steak was a little cold when it got served to me. Maybe they wanted to bring the all dishes on at the same time. 3. They moved our reservation time involuntarily. Luckily we didn’t have any plans that would be disrupted.

Toller Service - absoluter Wohlfühlfaktor. Menü würde ich höher als einen Stern klassifizieren. Für den nächsten Besuch schon vorbereitet.

Beautiful, very stylish atmosphere, reminds me every time of the beautiful bar restaurants in London. Service was on point, as was the food. What is particularly appealing to me is a menu with dishes that are still available even after several months, and that are always of the same, excellent quality. All in all, a really great location, with the bonus of being able to go to the hotel bar or the smoking lounge afterwards. A very clear recommendation for all connoisseurs!

Ich muss sagen, ich bin wirklich positiv überrascht. Wir wurden sehr warm empfangen und durch alle sieben Gänge mit passenden Speiseempfehlungen und spannenden Informationen zu den einzelnen Gerichten begleitet.

Such a nice day bar with a great little drinks menu and such delicious food. The ambience is chic and laissez faire at the same time. Ideal for a small snack and an aperitif!

We often spend our Sunday lunch here, great welcome from Christine and the whole team. Relaxed atmosphere, great dishes mixed with a well-stocked wine list, ideally with a seat by the window. Recently tried the new classic “Corden Bleu filled with caviar”, surprising in taste and great combination. Thanks for the great lunch.

A real treat! The atmosphere is modern, but still cozy. The menu offers a great selection and the dishes were perfectly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly. The dessert in particular – a chocolate cake – was a dream!
