A delight – a restaurant run by the KuK & baxr. Cuisine in a pleasant ambiance with professional service staff who are always present and never intrusive. The boiled Viennese beef is a delight with Tafelspitz (boiled beef) and beef tongue. For a royal finishing touch, there's Kaiser-Schmarrn (smothered pancakes) or apricot pancakes. Every visit is a delight. Thanks to the Freisinger Hof.

We returned for dinner at the Freisinger Hof once again and, as always, were delighted. Perfect service paired with very friendly staff and excellent food—what more could you ask for? Since the restaurant was aware of a special occasion, a small surprise was brought to our table, which was very thoughtful. The restaurant is highly recommended; we would gladly return.

Get to this hotel if you want to be in a quiet nice residential suburb. Service is good and the restaurant is reputed to be excellent. Very luxurious feel overall but especially the breakfast. (Vast majority of hotels in Munich that you will find on the usual sites will be near the train station which is not a bad area now, but used to be run down.)

Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the English Garden and public transportation. The family room was very nice with the wardrobe providing some privacy from the kids bed. Rooms are a bit dated but for us that added to the charm. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

The stay was very pleasant, and the rooms were also very comfortable. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and there really is something for everyone. From cakes and other sweet treats to even white sausages and pretzels for breakfast, there really is everything. We felt very comfortable enjoying the evenings in the winter garden with a good glass of fruit juice or a cup of coffee. The service is very friendly. Unfortunately, we only spent five nights here, but we really wanted to stay much longer. Simply magical.

A hotel that leaves nothing to be desired. We arrived as a small family and received the warmest welcome. On the hotel terrace, I was able to enjoy a cool, hearty beer from the in-house brewery 🍺. Bei sonnigen Wetter im Garten gesessen. Toll gestaltet, schön eingedeckt und auch ausreichend Platz zwischen den Tischen. Sehr aufmerksame und immer freundliche Servicekräfte. Super Auswahl auf der Speisekarte. Qualität der Produkte und Geschmack der Speisen haben überzeugt. Preislich gehoben, aber insgesamt angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Einer super schöne Terrasse, die sehr schön dekoriert ist und tolle Ambiente. Das Kalbsschnitzel und die Ente waren köstlich. Ich kann nur empfehlen anstatt die Petersilienkartoffel, den Kartoffelsalat zu dem schnitzel zu nehmen. Das war der absolut beste Kartoffelsalat meines Lebens!!! Die ente war super zwar und Mega lecker. Das nächste Mal werde ich den Tafelspitz probieren, der soll wohl auch köstlich sein. Der Service war okay. Etwas arg gestresst, viel wurde vergessen, und am Anfang hatten die Kellnerin und der Kellner sich gestritten. Unser Kellner war sehr nett, aber hatte wohl ein recht stressigen Mittag was man merkte. Trotzdem werde ich wieder kommen

I was there on Saturday May 10th, 2025 because my cousin got married. Great location, wonderful, tasteful food, very attentive service staff, thank you very much for the hospitality, I recommend this location 100%.

Ein wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant mit überaus freundlichen und umsichtigen Kellnern. Klasse Service und das Essen war überdurchschnittlich gut. Wir haben eine Familienfeier auf der überdachten Terrasse gefeiert. Es war alles wunderbar. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiter.

Man sitzt sehr schön unter Bäumen auf der Gartenterrasse, der Service ist sehr gut, das Essen aber etwas enttäuschend. Das Fleisch des Zwiebelrostbraten (39 EUR) ist zu dünn und durchgebraten, die Zwiebeln sind frittiert und nicht geschmelzt, türmen sich kalt auf dem Fleisch und sind eher im Weg als Genuss. Das Spargelgericht besteht aus fünf Stangen Spargel, das ist etwas dürftig und daher ist zwingend eine Beilage (Schinken, Schnitzel o.a.) dazuzuordern.

Good stay in a traditional, bavarian Hotel with Restaurant. Room was Standard with coffee making facilities. Bathing robes. Bed comfy. Just the pitch roofed area was a challenge to get out of bed not to hit the head there for one persons side. The little Spa is ok. Restaurant and food good. Recommendable.

The restaurant has excellent Austrian cuisine. Large portions. Excellent service.

After repeated visits, the service, including the restaurant manager, deserves special mention. The food is very good. However, as I have personally mentioned, one notable shortcoming is the quality of the coffee selection. The Dallmayr coffee doesn't live up to the house's standards, especially since there are excellent Viennese coffees, such as Meinl, that would be a better match for the Austrian cuisine on offer.

The three of us had a very good meal in the restaurant. Very friendly and courteous service (without being intrusive). Very cozy facility.

Der Service ist perfekt, freundlich, zuvorkommend, zuverlässig und unaufdringlich. Alle Speisen wurden gleichzeitig serviert. Das Essen war von außerordentlicher Qualität (Blutwürste, Karotten Ingwer Suppe, hausgemachter Lachs als Vorspeisen - Ente, Wiener Schnitzel und Graupenrisotto als Hauptgericht) Alle Gäste waren rundherum zufrieden. Der vom Service empfohlene offene Wein zum Essen war perfekt. Sehr angenehmes Ambiente. Wir können dieses Restaurant nur uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werden sicher wiederkommen.

Beautiful hotel in a nice quiet location overlooking the English Garden. Check in was easily accomplished in English and they had packages waiting for us that I didn't even know were sent to me. A bus line runs right in front of the hotel with stops very close by in both directions. The hotel wasn't decorated specifically for Christmas but it still added to the Christmas feel of our trip.

Bavaria that samma me probably doesn't apply here, the Bavarian freedom law was often violated. I wanted to have a pure Roman dance, but I couldn't because there was clapping in the next room, all EVENING!!! My children thought someone was celebrating their birthday there. Un mangificio di cucina regionale appena sopra la media, affollato da turisti chiassosi, con personale scortese e fintamente accogliente. Una cocente delusione a caro prezzo, con ciliegina finale: il cameriere che ha servito il nostro tavolo, senza un sorriso ma con l’unica determinazione a finire in fretta il suo turno di lavoro, ci ha praticamente “estorto” la mancia che secondo me non meritava affatto. Quando ho lasciato sul tavolo 10 euro, li ha raccolti con gesto stizzoso e oltremodo sgarbato. Sconsiglio vivamente qualsivoglia esperienza in questo inacccogliente ristorante!

We were at the restaurant on Friday with work with 11 people. As always, a dream. Great food, great service and nice ambience. We go to the Freisinger Hof so often and have celebrated various festivals there. Everything was always perfect. Thank you for everything. You are great I can't personally say anything about the hotel, but friends of ours who stayed there after a big celebration were full of praise.

Schon länger nicht mehr so gut gegessen in München! Die Küche ist traditionell bayerisch/österreichisch mit eher gemäßigten modernen Anklängen und verhältnismässig viel Fleisch in Bezug auf die Beilagen auf dem Teller. Das Stammpublikum dieses räRestaurants wird das aber vermutlich bevorzugen (uns wäre weniger Fleisch, mehr Gemüse lieber). Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis absolut angebracht auch wenn die Gerichte höherpreisig sind. Sehr gemütliche Einrichtung, aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Einziger Minuspunkt: Parkplatzsituation schwierig, wenn das Lokal gut besucht ist. Wir mussten 10min suchen und dann 10min aus einem Wohngebiet laufen.

Truly a “heavenly” meal and everything was delicious! All employees are service-oriented and kind. We will definitely come back.

Junto a un hotel de 4 estrellas se encuentra este encantador restaurante del mismo nombre. El pequeño aparcamiento hace doble servicio, y eso es lo único negativo. El personal es experimentado y muy profesional, y la comida es excelente. La carne hervida es su tarjeta de presentación, y es excepcional. Esta es la comida de alta comodidad, y las opciones incluyen comidas tradicionales bávaras. Mi esposa tenía el pollo frito, y estaba perfectamente cocinado. A diferencia de las ofrendas secas cargadas de grasa que se servían en otros lugares, había una porción generosa que dejaba suficiente para llevar para otra comida. Mi plato de carne estaba genial, y eliminó cualquier connotación negativa de harina hervida, que generalmente consiste en un corte barato hervido hasta que se desmorona. El "Hof" tiene mucho encanto y es una visita obligada cuando se encuentra en Múnich.

A real insider tip for Munich. Near the English Garden, a small but cozy hotel. The Freisinger Hof looks like a family hotel and impresses with its professionalism and friendliness.

This review is about the restaurant. Service was aphazard at best and, after a long wait, the salmon turned to be way too salty. Even after a much appreciated replacement it was barely okay. On the other hand, the location is very nice, so make what you will of this review.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 mights and had dinnr in their restaurant two nights. It was so good. They serve local dishes including fresh goose with all the trimmings. Unforgetble. So cozy and so well maintained. Super grat service people and reasonable prices .

Extremely beautifully located, right next to the English Garden. Breakfast terrace with a view of the treetops. Breakfast buffet phenomenally good with a diverse selection and fresh products.

Borderline, with an overnight price of € 200 you can expect air-conditioned rooms (the heat in the room was unbearable, the window could be opened, but sleep was disturbed because of the car noise) and a shower instead of a bathtub in the style of the 60s. Sometimes overwhelmed and unfriendly staff. The hotel bill, which had already been paid, was invoiced and debited again and was only discovered by chance. The question arises as to whether the person in front of the PC has no idea or the software is no good. You can also expect that used glasses in the room will be replaced, the coffee capsule and the advertised water will be refilled. The beds were very comfortable, although the furnishing style is also a matter of taste and I missed the “comfort room”. Great breakfast selection, around 20 different types of muesli, but unfortunately no lactose-free yoghurt, €26 per breakfast isn't a bargain either. Furthermore, you shouldn't disturb the late shift at work and ask for drinks, even though there is a cozy lounge with drink menus. The location in the immediate vicinity of the English Garden can definitely be seen as positive.

We only ate in the restaurant and it was excellent. Ambience and staff top. We'd love to come back whenever we're nearby We had our hotel in Erding for the BMW Open Erding and unfortunately it was a bit out of the way.

As it has been for years, very pleasant today, very good Bavarian/South German cuisine. And today the duck was once again fantastic. The waiters are extremely polite and every little detail is perfect in the warm and cozy atmosphere. The prices are appropriate for the level and are completely acceptable. It makes sense to make a reservation in advance, as a “spontaneous” visit usually fails due to lack of space. We always like to come back.

The worst place I stayed on this three week vacation. The staff on Saturday morning were extremely rude. The rooms were hot and uncomfortable. You had two choices. One, open the windows and let in all the bugs or not be able to sleep because it was simply too hot. We were supposed to have a small refrigerator, but instead had empty space. No consideration given and when they had a chance to do the right thing, that just simply said not my problem.

Wife and I came for lunch. We came via a leisurely walk through the English Garden. This helped us to work up an appetite. The outdoor seating is very nice. The staff are friendly and professional. We had the boiled beef which was delicious. The fried potatoes and cream vegetables were also very good. The dessert was yummy. Nice wine list of Austrian wines. Must visit. Can also get here easily as tram station nearby if you don’t drive.

Today we celebrated my birthday there for lunch!!! Food: Great 5 stars Drinks: Great 5 stars SERVICE: Our waiter (Italian speaking) was terrific!!! This employee is an asset to you Restaurant. We made reservations under the name Borelli, and as always we were treated to the full culinary delights!!! Simply GREAT........ !!!!!!!

Hotel is great, at least the main building. For the 3rd time there, first time in the annex building, 2nd time in the main building, 3rd time booked directly in the hotel annex building. So main building = better mattresses, minibar, lowerable toilet lid. Breakfast costs €26.00 per person. Great at the weekend, with champagne on Sundays.

I truly wonderful stay in every way. Perfectly located, small gym/sauna, a beautiful breakfast, the staff are friendly, there's parking on premises, and the rooms are tidy, clean and exactly as advertised. I'll be coming back.

All the staff are friendly and affable, excellent quiet location. Superlative breakfast, large rooms with quality bathroom products. We were in the rooms above the restaurant, but we didn't experience any disturbances.

Absolutely outstanding hotel. The rooms are very clean and in fair condition. The breakfast is very good and has a nice, fresh and varied selection. The adjoining restaurant with absolutely top Austrian cuisine of incredibly good quality. Both the service and the very short waiting time for the food are particularly noteworthy. We ate there 5 times during the week of our stay because it was/is just so good 👍 The hotel invites you to relax and is beautifully decorated, with fresh flowers in the entrance area that immediately put a smile on your face. The ladies at reception are very accommodating and really charming. All in all, a top address and we will certainly stay there more often as valued guests.
