Schwarzes Cafe in Berlin

Das Essen war furchtbar, das Fleisch verbrannt und schmeckte alt. Es war teuer und den Preis nicht wert. Früher war es besser, aber jetzt nicht mehr. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen. Die Bedienung war die ganze Zeit lautstark am Telefon und sehr unprofessionell.

Ob spät oder früh, es gibt nichts Besseres. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr Berlin, und das Schwarze Café hat sich kaum verändert über die Jahre. Es ist bunter, wilder und besser geworden, doch ich fühlte mich gleich wieder wie zu Hause.

Das Schwarze Cafe ist mein Lieblingscafe in Charlottenburg. Ich gehe dort sehr gerne ein und aus. Dort kann man sich auch wunderbar mit Freunden auf ein Schwätzchen treffen. Die Bedienungen sind auch immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Das hebt auch die eigene Stimmung!

Ein tolles Café mit super Atmosphäre und tollem Service. Ich kann einen Besuch in diesem interessanten Café wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Portionen sind recht groß, sodass ein Gericht problemlos für zwei Personen reicht.

Es ist immer ein freudiges Erlebnis hier zu sein. Der Service ist Oberklasse, freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch ein großes Lob an die Küche, wird sich jedes Mal voll zufrieden.

Ich ritt zum Savignyplatze, um eine feine Maid zu minnen. Doch wehe! Sie brach das virtuelle Bündnis jählings und ließ mich einsam auf der Bank sitzen. Großer Herzeleid! Aber der schwarze Trank dortselbst war ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus, gar köstlich gebraut. Auch die Schenken und Mägde waren voller Unschuld und Unminne nicht. Nein, sie waren überaus freundlich und edel im Gemüt! Der Hof ist wohlfeil, die Maid hingegen voller Falschheit.

Der Service, das Personal und das Ambiente sind fantastisch. Das Essen war leider nicht so gut. Ich werde wohl nicht wiederkommen.

Ich war bisher zwei mal da und beide Male wurden wir nicht bedient, wir haben nicht einmal Karten erhalten. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, wurden bedient. Ich hab es zwei Mal versucht, weil es ja angeblich so gut sein soll, gebe ich es auf. Service wirklich schlecht und gegrüßt wird man auch nicht. Bin sehr enttäuscht von der Experience, vor allem, wenn man den Ruf berücksichtigt. 0 Sterne.

Legendär. Über die Jahre hinweg, seit wir dort sind, immer wieder einzigartig und genial. Lieblingsszenario: Nach einer durchzechten Nacht, 2 Uhr morgens, Omeletts und Bloody Marys. Himmlisch.

Wer Hochglanz sucht, ist hier falsch. Es ist schmuddelig, verwinkelt und genau deshalb so geil. Das Essen ist ehrlich, die Atmosphäre unschlagbar und die Öffnungszeiten legendär.

Ich war im Sommer mit Freundinnen vor Ort in einem Beigen Outfit, der Kellner hat unglaublich lange gebraucht uns zu bedienen, wiederzufinden, zu zahlen eigentlich im allgemeinen für alles. Wir hatten nur ein 50€ schein der nicht gewechselt werden konnte und deswegen haben wir nach 20 min warten, weitere 15 min warten müssen. Die Krönung allerdings war als mir mein Aperol sauer auf meine Hose gekippt wurde und ich auf einen Lappen warten musste und er auf anfrage und Diskussion das Getränk von der karte genommen hat. Furchtbarer laden!!!

Köstlicher Kaiserschmarrn! Der Service war auch super nett :) Wir hatten heute wohl Glück, normalerweise ist es dort nämlich sehr voll. Ich hab euch lieb 😂❤️

Ein Kultcafé mit typisch Berliner Vintage-Dekor. Es gibt Kaffee, Kuchen und Speisen. Angenehme Atmosphäre.

Die Preise sind normal, das Omelett ist klein und nichts Besonderes. Das Brot ist frisch und die Butter gut. Der Kaffee ist gut.

Schönes Café im alten Stil behalten. Umfangreiches Frühstücksangebot zu zivilen Preisen. Leider nur Barzahlung, sollte Alternativen anbieten.

Mal so etwas ganz anderes, speziell aber sehr nett

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Das Essen hat überhaupt nicht überzeugt – das Wiener Schnitzel war geschmacklich kaum genießbar und definitiv sein Geld nicht wert. Der Kaiserschmarrn war noch das Beste auf der Karte, aber auch hier gibt es deutlich bessere Alternativen. Für insgesamt 47,50 € habe ich mir deutlich mehr erwartet. Besonders unangenehm war auch der Service: Noch bevor ich mein Rückgeld erhalten habe, wurde ich bereits nach Trinkgeld gefragt. So ein Verhalten ist unangebracht und wirkt sehr aufdringlich. Auch die Atmosphäre war alles andere als angenehm – es war sehr laut, viele Gäste haben sich wenig rücksichtsvoll verhalten, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich gestört hat. Insgesamt stimmt hier weder das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis noch das Gesamtpaket aus Service, Essen und Ambiente. Ich würde dieses Lokal nicht weiterempfehlen.

Ein fantastisches Nachtcafé mit einer Küche, die bis spät in die Nacht geöffnet ist!

Klassiker in Berlin... Muss man hin, wenn man in Berlin zu Besuch ist. Eine kleine Zeitreise zurück in das Berlin der 80' mit dem Standard von heute. Empfehlenswert auch und besonderst zum Frühstücken.

Alles super. Ich kann die Crepes wirklich nur empfehlen. Der Service mega nett. Du wirst sofort bedient.

Wir haben Unsinn den Hinterhof gesetzt aber irgendwie etwas trostlos Es fehlte etwas Farbe , Tischdecko oder so .. sonst aber eine Kult-Location in Berlin

Das Ambiente ist angenehm, mit Sitzgelegenheiten im Erdgeschoss und im Obergeschoss sowie einigen Sitzplätzen im Freien. Die Speisekarte bietet eine abwechslungsreiche Auswahl. Aufgrund der Top-Lage sind die Preise etwas höher als in anderen Cafés. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit und bietet auch eine englische Speisekarte an. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Wein kostet etwa 7 € und Apfelkuchen mit Eis und Sahne 8,40 €.

Der gemütliche 70s Vibe macht das Schwarze Cafe besonders. Dazu gibts sehr gute Cocktails, auch die Bruschetta mit Olivencreme war super, große Portion. Aufgrund der Qualität fand ich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angemessen (2 Cocktails(+jeweils Glas Wasser gratis)+Bruschetta ca 30€). Bedienung war sehr freundlich, man musste zum Nachbestellen allerdings etwas länger warten, es war aber auch sehr voll.

War alles mehr als top. Man muss sich nur auf eine gewisse Lautstärke einstellen. Wir mussten uns ganz schön anbrüllen.

Leider war der Service nicht so toll. Auf Nachfrage, ob ein Gericht noch kommen würde (das erste war schon da), hat der Kellner nur mit den Schultern gezuckt. 🤷‍♀️ Ansonsten ist es da ganz nett; oben kann es sehr laut werden.

Schöne, lokale Atmosphäre, freundliche Leute, gute Auswahl auf der Speisekarte, tolles Bier.

Eine Berliner Institution. Ich war vor 35 Jahren zum ersten Mal dort. Es hat sich kaum verändert, weder an der Bescheidenheit der Einrichtung noch des kulinarischen Angebots noch des Gästekreises. Nichts Besonderes, nichts Extravagantes, nichts Modisches. Vielleicht deshalb absolut zu empfehlen.

Immer gute Stimmung, häufig aber sehr voll, deswegen reservieren oder mit Geduld kommen. Essen immer ganz lecki aber schon auch etwas teuer, man kann nur bar zahlen! Aber ein mustdo!!

Das Essen war super, aber der Service war wirklich schlecht. Das Restaurant war total ausgebucht, es gab nicht genug Personal und außerdem dauerte es ewig, bis das Essen kam.

Der Service war extrem langsam, und die Angestellten wirkten gleichermaßen kühl und desinteressiert – es war wirklich anstrengend mitanzusehen. Ich verstehe, dass der Laden Kultstatus hat und gut besucht ist, aber mit diesem Service verliert er seinen Charme. Das Personal wirkte unterbesetzt, da es extrem voll war; Bestellungen wurden übersehen, aber trotzdem berechnet. Nichts Besonderes, aber das Essen war trotzdem gut.

Sehr schöne Szenekneipe mit sehenswertem Ambiente und lebhafter Atmosphäre. Gutes Essen und große Auswahl trendiger Getränke bei angemessenen Preisen. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Das Personal war extrem unhöflich. Die Getränke waren von sehr schlechter Qualität und schmeckten, als wären sie mit Wasser verdünnt. Auch die Hygiene an der Bar ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig – die Oberflächen sahen schmutzig aus und es mangelte deutlich an Sauberkeit. Die Atmosphäre war unangenehm und der Service wirkte nachlässig und langsam. Ich kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen und werde definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

You have to like it. A pretty left-field, alternative cafe restaurant. The food is okay, but nothing special. Lots of alternative crowd. We could have made a reservation for dinner because it's quite a busy cafe, but the reservation hadn't been made. Luckily, the staff handled it well, and we were still able to get a seat somewhere. We had a hotel nearby, but we'll skip it next time. Inside, it looks like a bomb has exploded, and they just left it that way. Would be a good fit for wannabe hipsters.

The coffee with oat milk was good, but the café itself was very dirty. There were lots of stains on the floor, vomit in the sink, and it just didn't feel inviting at all.

Dating back to 1978, the vibe is like stepping back in time. It's a bit noisy, but that also makes it incredibly cozy. The food is good, and the prices are relatively reasonable. You can go any time of day for breakfast, lunch, a drink, coffee and cake, or dinner. This café has it all!

We love coming here, especially for breakfast – it's wonderful. I wish everywhere offered such friendly service. Keep it up! However, the men's restroom downstairs is absolutely awful. 😞

Iconic place and the best in Charlottenburg to come at any hour for any purpose. The food is hit or miss. Lasagna was good. The pesto is gross and super oily.

It's a 24-hour cafe. When I went up to the second floor, people of all ages were chatting happily. The place was packed. I ordered a dessert called Kaiserschmarren. It's like French toast. The outside has a caramel flavor with melted sugar, and the inside is soft. Dipping it in cherry sauce with ice cream is incredibly delicious. It goes perfectly with an Americano.

The place is a combination of different things that gives you different feelings. The place is quite old, you can see and feel the authenticity in every aspect, especially the cieling. I have tried only cappuccino and frech orange juice and both were great, the food looked great as well. The service is relatively fast, staff are polite and speak fluent English if you need that. The only drawback is that it is very crowded and noisy.

I've known the Schwarze Café for about 40 years. Whenever I'm in Berlin, it's a go-to spot—a cherished tradition. Over all this time, it has remained true to its style and retained its unique atmosphere. Unassuming from the outside, unchanged inside for decades, it's a place I enjoy going for breakfast at any time of day (okay, maybe not in the afternoon or evening). They offer a good selection, from simple to opulent, at fair prices. The service is excellent.

I was there with a friend on Sunday afternoon (December 14th). We both ordered a selection of cakes with ice cream, and I had a cappuccino. We sat on the first floor. At first glance, it was clear there were a lot of tables for very few staff. It was also very noisy up there. The cakes arrived quickly. My cappuccino came about 20 minutes later, by which time I had already finished the cake (which we both thought was quite delicious). Since we wanted to leave again soon, I asked for a to-go cup. They didn't have any. The atmosphere in the place is okay. The service was practically nonexistent. What I really disliked, however, was the behavior of one of the waiters. He barely even looked at us. We felt like he only said the bare minimum, and his overall demeanor was simply dismissive and ignorant. We didn't feel welcome at all. My friend shook his head at the fact that I even left a tip. We won't be coming back.

This lovely looking place is run by incredibly unpleasant people who behave as though you have insulted them by being a customer. But they seemed to have been going through a bit of an existentialist drama when I was there. It was all petulance and angst. Why are you here? I want a table. Oh. To eat? Yes. Fine. Whatever. Shall we give you that table by the window? Maybe... Maybe not... Actually no, we're just going to give it to other people after asking you to wait 15 minutes as we all stare at the empty table. Shall we make a recommendation for breakfast and then tell you it isn't available after you've waited half an hour? Yes. Here. Have some salty food. And now you want to pay? For your meal? Whatever. How dare you. Wait another twenty minutes. They seem unhappy and super confused. I hope they find something more fulfilling, because they clearly hate their jobs, their work, and their customers.

Delicious breakfast, the coffee is also excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I'd love to come back again :)

The bar with the best price-performance ratio in the entire area, always hot food, legendary opening hours. Excellent service. High-quality food and drinks, something the competition can't match. Highly recommended.

I don't understand how this restaurant justifies its prices. A simple schnitzel costs €28 – and they only accept cash payments? In 2025? For amounts over €30, that's a definite red flag. This might be understandable for a small café or kebab shop, but not for a restaurant that offers this kind of price range. The price-performance ratio is completely out of proportion. Not recommended.

I can't comment on the food or the atmosphere because we simply sat outside and ordered drinks. Unfortunately, they didn't have a "Hütchen" (a type of Austrian pastry) or Fanta Korn (a shot of schnapps) on the menu, but thanks to the incredibly friendly waiter, we still got our Fanta Korn.

A little pricey and irritating it’s cash only, but we keep coming back for the relaxed atmosphere. Staff are usually nice but overwhelmed as it gets extremely busy. So expect to wait quite a while to order and pay.

The hot chocolate is incredibly delicious! The atmosphere is rustic but pleasant! The seating is comfortable :) It's just a bit loud, which I like, but it's not for everyone :)

The rooms are very stuffy, and the smell of food is too strong, making it hard to relax. The apple strudel was hard and had hardly any flavor. I don't recommend it.
