Brauhaus Spandau - Restaurant & Hotel in Berlin

Super good cuisine - if you like rustic food, you've come to the right place. The food is great, especially the potato bread with bacon and onions, Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage) and lard. The menu is big enough to suit everyone. A lovely beer garden, clean toilets with a toilet attendant like in the old days. The portions are so big that everyone can fill themselves, the prices are very reasonable and they brew their own beer. If you're on holiday nearby, this restaurant is worth a visit; the brewery also has hotel rooms. A gem in unspectacular Spandau. They also sell souvenirs. I would go back anytime. Top service, top landlord.

It was a fabulous stay and a wonderful experience. Even though the room seems a little dated, I slept excellently. The absolute highlight, however, was the breakfast—both the selection of food and the taste; I've rarely eaten such delicious scrambled eggs. All the staff are exceptionally attentive and friendly, something you unfortunately find very, very rarely in hotels these days! Due to my late arrival, I unfortunately didn't make it to the beer garden, but I'll definitely make it to the next visit.

A small brewery with a lovely beer garden. The service was friendly and quick, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The Havel Bräu beer is delicious and easy to drink. If you follow the footpath toward Spandau, you'll arrive directly in the old town. Highly recommended.

We ate here and the food was good. We bought a keg of beer and weren't informed that it only lasts for 1-3 weeks. After I called, I wanted to ask a friendly person what could be done. The unfriendly person on the phone immediately interrupted me with, "It's fresh beer, it's always like this, we don't take it back, bye," without me even hearing a word. The service team needs to be trained in friendly customer service. What a shame, because the food was really good.

I sat at my table for 15 minutes without service. After receiving feedback, I received no apology. My comment was: "It's just the way it is." Then I waited for a beer and complained. "Sometimes it just takes a while." I'm used to Berlin, but not like this. I was there five hours earlier, and it was different then. A shame.

An interesting establishment where beer is the focus. A friendly welcome and attentive service. The beer served, Herbstbock Maronator, was drinkable and flavorful. The food served, the Braumeisterplatte (brewery plate), was nothing special, especially the sauerkraut, which was overcooked and lacked flavor. Recommended for beer connoisseurs, also because of the decor. On my second visit in April 2024, the outdoor dining area was open, and the service was courteous and prompt. The food I chose (fried black pudding with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes) was tasty, including the sauerkraut. This visit is justifiable for a repeat visit. For Google, however, it gives it a 5 for its rating rules.

Delicious, hearty food in generous portions – just what you'd expect from a brewery! The beer was really good, and the schnapps didn't disappoint either. All in all, a successful evening – we'd love to come back!

The food and drinks were very good. The service was also excellent, although the woman sitting by the restrooms was a nutter who liked to shout at you, bang her hand on the table, and slam the door if you walked past without giving her your money. I was a guest at a restaurant where you could easily spend over €70 on a long evening, and then, after you've had your fill, you were pressured and forced to give the woman, who was getting paid, money every time.

I don't understand all the positive reviews. The food was mediocre. The dumplings were cold and hard inside, so they weren't fresh, just reheated. Absolutely unacceptable! The food also came out much too quickly. A clear indication that it wasn't freshly prepared... I've had much better German food elsewhere.

We had made a reservation for lunch, but there was no table set up for us. We were seated next to a brew kettle that was being cleaned; it was drafty, cold, and damp. To receive our food, I had to get up and walk to the barrier of high tables that blocked the passage in front of the brew kettle. We've been going there for years, sometimes with guests, but we'll probably refrain from doing so in the future.

A fine, first-class, and perfectly equipped brewery with ample capacity for events and clubs. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The home-brewed beer tastes delicious. The bread and side dishes are also excellent. Overall, a great concept that's definitely worth a visit in Berlin!

We went for Mother's Day dinner. It was full and we had to wait, but our station waiter completely ignored us. Another waitress who was also serving on the terrace was friendly enough to take over his job. Some of the prices are not justified for the food. The beer is fine, I wouldn't complain about that. However, charging almost €17 for a simple baked potato with quark is not justified. Frozen turkey schnitzel and some potato salad is over €20, no thanks, not again. As a guest you are also expected to pay for the toilet, even though you are the customer paying for food and drink on site. Sorry, but that's where understanding ends.

The Spandauer Brauhaus is very well located, near the Havel in a park. The brewery building is an old brick building in which the copper kettles of the brewing system are located in the central room behind the counter. The beer is impressive, the price-performance ratio of the grill knuckle is 1A.

I was only there as a dining guest without staying overnight, so I can't rate the rooms. The food and drinks were very tasty, as the name suggests, Annett is a brewery. Accordingly, there are a variety of beer specialties as well as beer-based schnapps. The portions are reasonable for the price, but the tables are a bit small in some parts of this establishment, so that you sit very tightly with four people. The ambience and service are great and you are served very quickly. Even if the house is busy, you don't have to wait too long for a service person.

It's a joke. First 7 (counting) service staff walk past me. Then someone felt caught and had me order... it's just stupid that I wanted a light one and a dark one came... alone in the pub is probably a no go. It's a shame that the others were still showering. We made a turnover of over 200 euros every Sunday. After today another host will (hopefully) be happy about it. So Long Brauhaus.

I came here for dinner on business with a group of seven people. The restaurant was already very busy when we arrived. The service was good, and despite the crowds, the wait time was short. The food was very tasty and the portions were a decent size. However, I find some of the prices a bit too high.

I came here for dinner. The atmosphere absolutely matches the name; I was lucky to get a seat without a reservation. The food was delicious, but a bit expensive. But unfortunately, that's normal for Berlin.

We like to eat there, which is very hearty and delicious. Unfortunately, the service yesterday was not polite or professional. A few weeks ago, it was different, when we had a very nice waitress. Even when we were greeted at 4 p.m., she gave us a strange look, like, "They probably just want a drink." Her question was, "How long do you want to stay?" My answer was, "Not that long." "Okay, then please go back there." Then she asked what we wanted to drink. I wanted a "small spritzer with elderflower and still water." "No, that's not possible, we only offer large spritzers." Excuse me? The menu said 0.3 and 0.5 liters, so I just ordered what was on the menu. Then she said, "We're at a brewery here..." when we all ordered tea, coffee, and juice instead of beer. Was she trying to force us to drink alcohol? Then we waited for her to come back so we could order food. We never communicated beforehand that we only wanted drinks. But she didn't come back because she assumed we just wanted a drink. Overall, this waitress wasn't a brilliant performer. The atmosphere was neither neutral nor friendly, but rather typical Berlin rudeness. Training in "professional service" would be a good idea.

I felt like I used to in the old days back in the East, where you were assigned a seat. It wasn't full, so this wasn't justified. It's nice that this is a non-smoking hall, but my jacket stinks of old grease. Otherwise, the service was friendly and attentive.

This review is about the Restaurant alone. Our employer hosted our Christmas Party here and I was so impressed not just with the food but most especially with the service we received from the staff. Then I decided I have to try the restaurant on a regular day. Usually, this place is packed, especially at night and on the weekends. We went for lunch and we were basically the first customers. As expected, service was impeccable. They were very accommodating without being overly friendly or trying too hard. We have noticed that the kitchen and the brewery were already busy. Then came our food and it was oh so scrumptious. It was very well-seasoned and freshly cooked. The Haxe was so juicy on the inside. I had the meat platter which paired really well with the tasty Sauerkraut. My favourite was the ribs. It is like home-cooked meal but better. Moreover, we ordered their signature brews and they were really good. I am not a beer lover myself but I liked it very much especially the dark one. This was definitely not our last visit.

The highlight are the delicious beers that are brewed here on site. The food is mostly hearty and tasty. But you shouldn't expect a star kitchen, it's just a big shop with a corresponding throughput. Kale was seasonal. Staff friendly, reservation is recommended. We didn't use the hotel.

We went there for dinner with the company yesterday. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and truly delicious food. Even as a vegetarian, I found what I was looking for and was thrilled. A little tip: You can also buy brewery honey on site, from the busy bees that are kept on-site, even outside. We'd love to come back 😉

Stopped by spontaneously and wanted to order goulash soup to take away. Wasn't a problem before. The waiter explained that they don't do that anymore. If I wanted something to take away, I would have to bring my own pot where they bottle something. The service couldn't be worse.

We, a group of six seasoned men who are passionate about enjoying beer, decided to do a beer tasting at Brauhaus Spandau. And what should we say? It was a direct hit! As soon as we entered the brewery, we were impressed by the rustic, quaint atmosphere. Wood-panelled walls, large copper kettles and a pleasant smell of malt and hops created the perfect backdrop for a successful evening. The atmosphere was lively but not overwrought - just right for celebrating the art of brewing beer. The beer tasting itself was a highlight. The selection of beers presented to us was impressive: from a spicy dark beer to a refreshing light beer to a fruity wheat beer. Every sip felt like a small experience. We were particularly impressed by the “Spandauer Spezial” – a malty beer with a fine caramel taste. It was so good that we immediately ordered another mug. The brewmaster's explanations - delivered humorously and passionately - also gave us a deep insight into the art of brewing. You can tell that not only beer is made here, but a piece of culture is lived here. By the way, the food was the perfect accompaniment to the beer tasting. The hearty classics such as pork knuckle, brewery burger and homemade potato salad were sumptuous and excellently prepared. The portions left nothing to be desired – a dream for hungry beer lovers! Finally, there was a beer liqueur that pleasantly surprised us: sweet, but not overpowering, with a strong malt aroma. A crowning conclusion to an unforgettable evening. Conclusion: For us, the Brauhaus Spandau is more than just a place to go for good beer - it is an experience that perfectly combines passion and craftsmanship. We'll definitely be back, because it'll be hard to find a better beer experience in Berlin!

Great hotel with a very good restaurant. Excellent beer and food. Stayed here for 5 nights over New Year's Eve 2024 and New Year's Day 2025. The service was top, it couldn't be better. Gladly again.

Today we went to the brewery in Spandau. It's really difficult for me to rate this because it's not my kitchen at all and I would never actually go there. The ambience was really nice, but I found it quite narrow and narrow. At some point we all got very warm. The service was mixed. Everyone was very nice, but somehow also a bit disorganized. We had been given extra small pieces of paper with the food we had previously ordered (we had ordered in advance for 17 people) and were supposed to put them on our seats so that the waiters knew where everything belonged and we weren't shouting and asking questions all the time. The pieces of paper were just decoration, but people still shouted and asked questions. Before that there was a potato soup that I thought was really good, but it was extremely salty (but I'm really not a benchmark). Then I had a huge half duck with red cabbage and dumplings. I couldn't complain, but as I said, it's not my preferred cuisine. It's too hearty, greasy for me and always feels heavy on my stomach. I found that clearing up always took forever and I really couldn't see the food in front of me. The portions were really huge. Then came the dessert, at first it looked like ice cream, but it was a chocolate pyramid with cherries. I can't say exactly what kind of dessert it was. It wasn't a cake, but it wasn't really a mousse or a pudding either. More of a relatively firm and firm chocolate mass with speculoos spice.

A very great restaurant with delicious food. The Brauhaus Spandau is located in the middle of Spandau, not far from the old town. The food is very tasty and the beer is extremely drinkable. The rustic Bauhaus-style furnishings and great atmosphere invite you to linger. The price-performance ratio and the friendly service round off the visit. We'd love to come back.

We took part in the beer brewing course. It was a great course, very educational and in a super relaxed atmosphere! We were able to try a lot of beer and the food was excellent. An all-round lovely day with a great program. After the course we checked into the hotel. Everything was super easy and relaxed. The double room was very spacious and equipped with everything necessary. We would definitely like to come back! The price/performance ratio of the course was very good.

We've been going to the brewery for many years, but unfortunately you can see the decline. There were three of us, we had chicken schnitzel, two breaded chicken pieces, probably from a package for 22 EUR, I had Leberkäse, a thin piece on a small dinner plate with two blobs of potato salad, for 15 EUR I wasn't even halfway full, my girlfriend had currywurst with pale fries. A lot of ready-made food for completely overpriced prices. We had cherry beer, delicious in itself, but not here, a cherry lhy was probably simply poured into the beer. We all felt sick after half a beer. Unfortunately I was here for the last time, unfortunately I have rarely experienced such a bad brewery. Very disappointing because we used to experience a nice evening with better food. The waiter was really nice, the restaurant was very loud as always and unfortunately there is still a toilet attendant there and wants money, a free pee should be included in the prices. Maybe someone reads the reviews and works on them and not only responds that they look forward to your next visit, the shop deserves it, the beer brewed was always good.

You wouldn't think it was possible given the location, but the rooms are very quiet. It's just a shame that there are only a few parking spaces and they don't seem to be reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Everything clean and nice. The staff is just great. We were in the restaurant. The starter is overpriced. Our group consisted of eight people. We got 5 pretzels and two breads including dips. This is charged at €7 per person. It's not justified for the amount. The bratwurst was OK. The fries mediocre. The schnitzel is deep fried and has not been breaded. The Cola is not an original Coca Cola. Service was nice, can't fault it. As a group you can only pay together; individual payments are not possible in this sense. Price-performance ratio is only moderate.

It's a shame, we (5 older gentlemen) have been regular customers at Brauhaus Spd for a good 25 years. and visit this place about 3-4 times a year, each time with a considerable beer bill (without food)!! Now we think it's a real shame that during Advent you can only reserve a table in a "Brauhaus" on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with a contractual menu order in advance. We would have been happy to show up for a few beers during Advent even without a contractual menu order in advance. Unfortunately, this is not possible :-( SHAME

There is such thing as the perfect Brauhaus. Their beer is great and the food was really good too.

Go in there, it's evening, look for a place where I can eat something. The place is loud with party music - well then. After being welcomed by the waiter, I immediately get shit on for bringing my e-scooter in. Waiter: “Then everyone takes their bike in” (yes full because a bike isn’t extremely bulky, no difference at all… 🤦‍♂️) Me: “I can stow it away and fold it up.” Waiter: “You could have done it beforehand.” *Stares at me expectantly/aggressively* And then I left again. Maybe I got kicked out too. Don't know. I'm too stupid to risk it. What I do know, however, is that the service did justice to the term “Berliner Schnauze”. Why do some people always have to be so confrontational? Politeness is different. I found a restaurant next door so I could just put the thing in the cloakroom. No problem 🤷‍♂️

Everything about the store was great, but out of the three times we were there, two of them weren't very nice because of other very loud and drunk guests at the high tables

Kamm mit freund paar Bierchen trinken, niewieder komme ich hier oder empfehle einen Freund. Wurde vom service angeprugelt angemacht. Mein fehler? Ich und der Freund war der letzte gast und als wir angewiesen dass es zumacht wollten wir unsere 2 Bier to go nehmen und wollten eigentlich nach Heim. Währenddessen dieser keiner zwerg hat mich ständig provoziert und angefasst und ich als besoffener reagiert wie er wollte, ich 10€ habe trinkgeld gegeben und verstehe ist man gestresst aber das war keineswegs mit Menschen umzugehen und Vorteile ziehen weil die betrunken war.

I was only there to eat and drink beer. The beer was very drinkable and the service had a pleasant Berlin snout. I liked the atmosphere. The only suggestion I would make for improvement would be the fries, because they were too thin and too short in the deep fryer for me.

The brewery is a rustic institution whose reputation extends as far as Scandinavia. First of all, there is a drinkable beer with nuances that change throughout the year. The dishes are deliberately rustic and southern German with a Berlin flavor. Seasonal festivals are celebrated all year round and seasoned with the dishes that fit. Unfortunately, there is no longer a self-service option that allows you to put together your own meal. The prices are reasonable, the food comes soon and there will never be a star for the tasty rustic food. As soon as the weather permits, there will be beer garden romance. The staff, who are always friendly, ensure that there is enough food, but are also not intrusive. The sanitary facilities, which are also entertaining, are constantly looked after and the employee is happy to receive a coin on their plate. At least on weekends it's worth reserving a table online. Not barrier-free, but there is also space for a wheelchair user. Just a note: if someone can't handle the online reservation, they should also be allowed to register by email. I was told by the restaurant management that all guests can do this online. That really pissed me off! Two years later, in October 2024, the plate photos would no longer be so pretty. Something has changed in the last few months: prices are going up and the food seems, let's say, a little less tasty.

We stayed in a double room for one night on October 15th, 2024. The reason for the trip was a concert in the Admiralspalast... We were given a great welcome by your team. The help with getting a car/taxi or public transport was also great. It was simply, if short, a great stay with great food and an even better service team. Only to be recommended!!!!!
