Food is better than the beer at least.

We were at Brauhaus Spandau yesterday, and unfortunately, the visit was quite disappointing. The service was very inattentive all evening—it seemed like no one even walked past our table every 20-30 minutes. For such a large and busy establishment, we expected significantly better service. At the end of the evening, a very unpleasant situation arose: A waitress (blonde hair, glasses) misinterpreted our laughter while we were paying and assumed we were laughing about the tip—which was absolutely not the case. Her comment that they "didn't need it" came across as extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. We certainly spent a fair amount of money there that evening, and it's disappointing when a well-intentioned tip is treated so disrespectfully. It's a real shame, as the evening left a bitter aftertaste. Due to the unfriendly service and poor management, we unfortunately cannot recommend Brauhaus Spandau.

I'm only giving it three stars because I'm from Spandau. The service was quick and friendly, but the duck was tough and the skin was unfortunately limp. I can't recommend it!

We happened to be in Spandau and used the brewery for a quick bathroom break 🫣. At the end of the day, we stopped in for a meal. Even though it was packed, we got a cozy table, the food was delicious, and of course, so was the beer 🍺🍻. We'll definitely be back. The service team was very attentive; keep up the good work!

We wanted to find a new location for our motorcycle club meeting, and today we went there for a test meal. The atmosphere was good, but unfortunately, the food wasn't. A pork knuckle with sauerkraut for €18. There was practically nothing on the knuckle. The sauerkraut was so sweet it was inedible. The kettle goulash with pork tasted quite good at first, until a strange flavor, primarily allspice or cloves, came through. This flavor was so overpowering that it was no longer palatable.

If I want a good beer with friendly service and delicious food, I come here. And I've been here many times over the years. The duck today was very tasty.

I was there yesterday for lunch. The location is great, and the food was good. I found the waitress, J., to be quite unfriendly. This rarely happens, but I didn't leave a tip yesterday. The ladies behind the counter and the one who delivered the food were much friendlier.

The brewery is definitely worth a visit. Delicious currywurst and great beer – exactly what you'd expect from a Berlin brewery. In our opinion, the prices are fair and justified. The service staff is excellent and friendly.

I was there as a guest when it opened in 1994 and visit the brewery several times a year. I'm impressed by the concept, and years ago they switched to a reservation system. The number of guests accepted depends on staff availability. The result is attentive service from well-trained employees. The beer has always been top-quality, and the food is delicious and fresh. I've never been disappointed and always enjoy coming back. Keep it up. Best, Peter

We experienced Oktoberfest here, it was truly echt deutsch.

I recently dined with you, had goose leg, and it was heavenly delicious and reasonable for the price. The server was quick and attentive, and your beer was great, too. I enjoy coming back. When asked why I wasn't asked if I enjoyed my meal, the waiter said, "We assume so." That's an interesting answer 😅

A beautifully situated hotel and restaurant complex. The service seems friendly and witty. Spacious rooms, interesting decor, and nicely arranged seating for guests. Delicious beer.

Very good brasserie address in Spandau

I went there for dinner and was really looking forward to the knuckle of pork and mashed potatoes. The food came very quickly, which surprised me a little. The sauerkraut was very good, the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a packet, just with a little butter, and the knuckle of pork is a matter of taste 🤷🏻‍♀️ Price/performance ratio doesn't work for me at all. The rhubarb spritzer tasted like water, only the color suggested it!! I also suggested to the waiter that they add a little more juice. He told me it would just come out of the tap and into the glass 🤔 I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! The service was very friendly / excellent 👍🏻

After the renovation of the beer garden, it's no longer cozy. The owner's prices are slowly getting out of control. The food is really delicious, but the prices are beyond belief. The brewery used to be a real highlight. Today, it's a shadow of its past, and "the man" is only interested in making money. At least, that's the impression.

We celebrated our wedding there on June 27th of this year (almost 50 people, including around 10 children), and we couldn't fault it. Communication before and during the celebrations was excellent. Any questions we had were answered quickly. All our worries were taken away during the multiple prior meetings regarding room layout, food preferences, technical equipment, etc. We had two physically challenged guests with us, so special ramps were installed on the stairs. Since the weather wasn't exactly great at the beginning of the day, we didn't decorate outside... but that quietly changed over the course of the day, thanks to our magical companion, Zissi from the brewery. She made every one of our wishes come true, never complaining despite our occasional payment difficulties or the numerous drinks orders. She accompanied us wonderfully from morning until midnight, dancing with us, laughing, and being simply adorable. The technology also worked flawlessly (we didn't use a projector). The evening before, as we were decorating the room with the team, all the tables and chairs were rearranged at the bride's request, and they did so with a smile on their faces. The manager of the establishment was also very patient with us (as a bride, you get nervous from time to time, even beforehand). The glasses were always full, smiles on their faces, and happiness in their hearts. The food was excellent; there was something for everyone, young and old (age range was 6 months to almost 70 years old), and it was always served at the right time. And what's equally important to me... Despite having almost 10 children under the age of 11 with us, they were able to run around, laugh, dance, and be loud. Not one employee complained; everyone was happy to have the laughing little ones there. We also heard nothing but good things from our guests, and everyone was thrilled with Zissi :) So, once again, a huge thank you to Zissi and the entire brewery team <3

The restaurant has been around for a long time and has been described very well, but after our visit today, where we ordered a schnitzel for €22, our expectations clashed with reality. The meat was still raw in the breading – a frozen schnitzel from Rewe tastes better than this one. The potatoes were greasy, and the fries we ordered with our beer were also undercooked. Unfortunately, the beer was the best part of our order today – and it's the only thing I can recommend.

From August 19, 2025: I really like it there! I love the home-brewed beer!

It's an institution, of course, and we always enjoy going there, but this "bread flat rate" of €7.50, which every guest at a large table, who already pays well and usually eats a proper meal anyway, has to shell out, is pretty cheeky. For 10 people, that's €75 for a few pretzels, small breads, and still water.

Unfriendly staff, avoid at all costs!!! We were there with a friend who recommended the brewery to us. Upon entering, we looked around and missed the sign with the instruction to wait until a seat was assigned. A member of her team then asked if we couldn't read, took our friend by the arm, and "led" her back to the sign. They then "assigned" us a shady spot in the beer garden. Since we preferred to sit in the sun, where other guests were already seated and the tables weren't reserved, we headed in that direction, whereupon her staff member immediately returned and reprimanded us rather rudely. After a brief discussion about Berlin hospitality, we decided to leave the brewery and eat elsewhere.

Incredibly delicious, super friendly service, and no long wait. I'm absolutely thrilled. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Spandau 😃

We came here for drinks and a light meal based on other reviews that said there were plenty of vegan options. Maybe that changes by season but the summer menu had plenty of vegetarian options and no vegan options other than Pommes without the mayo and a small side salad without the dressing. Disappointing. The allergens were also badly marked - a salad that contained Käse had no milk allergen marked...really unhelpful. The service of the bar staff was pleasant and fast and the biergarten was comfortable with a good atmosphere. I would go back for drinks, and if the menu changed by season then I would go back if there were vegan options as the food being delivered to tables looked of a good quality.

The hotel has seven rooms of various sizes, from twin/double rooms (which can also be booked as singles) to apartments with small kitchenettes. Check-in/check-out is extremely straightforward. After stating your name, you are given the key. The staff walks guests up to the rooms and explains the function of the keys, provides information about breakfast, etc. You immediately feel welcome. At check-out, you simply return the key. All fee-free. I stayed in a twin room (No. 3). The guest rooms face the courtyard, and in some cases, the Havel River can be seen through the dense trees. The night was super quiet by Berlin standards, and I was able to sleep with the window wide open. The large rooms are very individually decorated, the furniture is high-quality and tasteful. Some signs of wear are visible, but everything is tolerable. The guest rooms have a high-quality bathroom with a huge shower. The hotel provides toiletries such as soap, shower gel, and shampoo. For breakfast, there was a selection of different rolls, scrambled eggs, a cheese and sausage platter, fresh orange juice, butter, a selection of fruit yogurts, fresh fruit, and muesli. Some items were self-service, as breakfast was served at your table. The service was super friendly and attentive. To sum it up: I felt very comfortable and will definitely book a room in the Brauhaus again for the next concert at the Citadel.

I ordered the baked potato with salmon. The sour cream tasted delicious and fresh with the herbs. The brewery has a very well-maintained outdoor area both at the front and back. Since the location is not in the usual tourist area, there are plenty of parking options. The brewery is surrounded by greenery. The service is very attentive and friendly. Live events are held regularly. I have attended these in recent years and was very impressed. I highly recommend the brewery. Many thanks to the dedicated team.

The ambiance and the food are good. The beer tastes great. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the service. When I asked for a tip, the guy said, "Man, that took a long time." And he quickly left, not wishing us a pleasant evening. Before that, he had hugged a small, petite employee at the beer counter, which was visibly uncomfortable. He seems to have little respect for women.

This place is really good, they were really patient even though I don't speak german and the waitress didn't speak any english, she was adorable. Food was very german and really tasty, big portions. Beer was delicious. They have these vending machines that were something really diferent and funny.

Brauhaus Spandau is simply a beer institution that must be experienced. Here, you'll find not only a very good home-brewed beer, our Havelbräu, but also a wide variety of delicacies prepared on site. In summer, the garden invites you to linger. The service is first-class, and it's worth a visit anytime.

We've rarely experienced such good service. We were even able to order hot food after a concert at the Citadel (it was already 10:30 p.m.) during the week. The staff were super friendly and welcoming; we felt very welcome. The room was very clean, and although the bed seemed a bit soft (for my taste), we slept well. Breakfast was again served at the table by the cheerful staff, with fresh scrambled eggs and a great selection of cheese, ham, etc., beautifully presented (we were asked in advance about our dietary preferences, such as vegetarian options). Overall, everything is highly recommended!

I didn't use the hotel, as I was only there for a late breakfast. The white sausage and beer were very good, and the service was friendly. I had a wonderful window seat with a beautiful view. The ambiance is inviting. Please pay this place a visit. 😉

Habla Manotas, This place is a traditional German brewery with a nice "Biergarten". The choice of beers is not huge but the food compensates that. It's spacious, clean and the service is fast and efficient. It's suitable for any size of groups but a reservation is recommended.

We have been here several times over the last several years and have always been a bit shocked by the unfriendly service. One time we were asked to not only order bread and bear even before giving an order of actually several dishes. Another time we came for Christmas menu which left us with stomach aches. Today was again not a great experience - I wanted alcohol free beer and they said we need to sit down for this and then it was just apparently the regular beers available from big brands. Others ordered some beers which were ok but our waiter was not friendly at all. Watch out a guy is walking around taking pictures trying to sell key picture chains

Discriminatory treatment. Because we were foreign tourists, it took a long time for our food to be served. The waiters were unprofessional, "rather rude." We were very disappointed, as we had come with such high expectations. They didn't understand us at all.

Yesterday, we went to your restaurant with our family, and I have to honestly say: I've rarely experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from the staff. We arrived as a group around 7 p.m., wanting to eat and drink in peace – we ordered well and stayed for about three hours. Upon entering, the first waitress politely asked us how many people were there and said it might be difficult to accommodate us – fair enough, we hadn't reserved, our mistake. She asked us to wait about 10 minutes – no problem. But when she was about to call us to the table, another waiter suddenly intervened and said in a haughty tone that we had "no chance" of getting a table – who is he to decide that? He even asked us to leave, even though the other waitress was just about to seat us. Completely disrespectful. Then came the highlight of the evening: a waitress with ash-gray hair, who probably holds the title of "Employee of the Month" – with the most unfriendly expression on her face I've ever seen. No "hello," no greeting, nothing—instead, just a, "Why didn't you make a reservation?" Excuse me, but is that really how to speak to paying guests? During the service, she became a little friendlier—presumably because she saw we hadn't just come for €50. But the finale was the icing on the cake: When she realized the tip was too small for her liking, all friendliness vanished. Her expression was so sullen, you could have seen it from outer space. When politely asked if everything was okay or if we had upset her, she simply turned around, said nothing, and began aggressively pushing chairs around, as if we had personally offended her. This kind of behavior is unacceptable—neither for a restaurant of this size nor for dealing with people in general. I will share this experience—not out of revenge, but so that others know what to expect here.

We wanted to make a reservation, but that wasn't possible. We were told to just show up. When we got there, there were only reserved seats available. How could that be possible if a reservation wasn't possible? We feel pretty ripped off. We don't live right around the corner!

In addition to the €18 knuckle of pork, I also added €7 for two dumplings (€25 total), which I only discovered after I'd paid. To find out, you have to scan a QR code on the receipt and enter a PIN. The price is pretty opaque, as the €7 dumplings aren't even listed on the menu.

I've been going to the brewery for years. Delicious beer, excellent food, and really good service. Recommended for locals and tourists alike. Be sure to reserve a table; it can get very crowded.

The beer was delicious, the food was unfortunately average. I had a snack with lard, Obazda (traditional German sausage), and crème fraîche. The bread was delicious, and the Obazda and lard were, in my opinion, "normal" supermarket fare. My girlfriend's herring fillets were a slap in the face for a Schleswig-Holsteiner. More bones are impossible. Now, one might assume that the waitress would just... just out of curiosity ask if it was tasty or why half of the herring was being returned... She didn't... The ambiance is pleasant, but the tables for two people are a joke (far too small).

Very nice, rustic brewery. The rooms are also rustic but charming. Unfortunately, even with the windows closed, you can still hear the guests in the garden. It's a bit unpleasant that you have to go through the stairwell and walk past piles of laundry to reach your room. The pile of laundry wasn't removed during the three days we were there. The staff is more than friendly and competent. Very helpful and funny. The food and drinks are, in my opinion, very expensive. A beer costs €6.50, which is quite steep, but an Aperol is only €7. Strange pricing. Of course, the brewery has one advantage: it has a perfect location. Close to the Citadel and the subway.

A rustic brewery with an attached hotel. A very nice beer garden with pleasant, friendly staff. The beer garden is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy home-cooked food and freshly tapped beer. The breakfast was excellent and left nothing to be desired. The eggs were freshly prepared to order, and sausage and cheese were served on a colorful salad. Many thanks again to Diana for the excellent service and the resulting great start to the day.

Super good cuisine - if you like rustic food, you've come to the right place. The food is great, especially the potato bread with bacon and onions, Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage) and lard. The menu is big enough to suit everyone. A lovely beer garden, clean toilets with a toilet attendant like in the old days. The portions are so big that everyone can fill themselves, the prices are very reasonable and they brew their own beer. If you're on holiday nearby, this restaurant is worth a visit; the brewery also has hotel rooms. A gem in unspectacular Spandau. They also sell souvenirs. I would go back anytime. Top service, top landlord.

It was a fabulous stay and a wonderful experience. Even though the room seems a little dated, I slept excellently. The absolute highlight, however, was the breakfast—both the selection of food and the taste; I've rarely eaten such delicious scrambled eggs. All the staff are exceptionally attentive and friendly, something you unfortunately find very, very rarely in hotels these days! Due to my late arrival, I unfortunately didn't make it to the beer garden, but I'll definitely make it to the next visit.

A small brewery with a lovely beer garden. The service was friendly and quick, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The Havel Bräu beer is delicious and easy to drink. If you follow the footpath toward Spandau, you'll arrive directly in the old town. Highly recommended.

We ate here and the food was good. We bought a keg of beer and weren't informed that it only lasts for 1-3 weeks. After I called, I wanted to ask a friendly person what could be done. The unfriendly person on the phone immediately interrupted me with, "It's fresh beer, it's always like this, we don't take it back, bye," without me even hearing a word. The service team needs to be trained in friendly customer service. What a shame, because the food was really good.

I sat at my table for 15 minutes without service. After receiving feedback, I received no apology. My comment was: "It's just the way it is." Then I waited for a beer and complained. "Sometimes it just takes a while." I'm used to Berlin, but not like this. I was there five hours earlier, and it was different then. A shame.

Always worth a trip with a delicious beer..

An interesting establishment where beer is the focus. A friendly welcome and attentive service. The beer served, Herbstbock Maronator, was drinkable and flavorful. The food served, the Braumeisterplatte (brewery plate), was nothing special, especially the sauerkraut, which was overcooked and lacked flavor. Recommended for beer connoisseurs, also because of the decor. On my second visit in April 2024, the outdoor dining area was open, and the service was courteous and prompt. The food I chose (fried black pudding with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes) was tasty, including the sauerkraut. This visit is justifiable for a repeat visit. For Google, however, it gives it a 5 for its rating rules.

The food and drinks were very good. The service was also excellent, although the woman sitting by the restrooms was a nutter who liked to shout at you, bang her hand on the table, and slam the door if you walked past without giving her your money. I was a guest at a restaurant where you could easily spend over €70 on a long evening, and then, after you've had your fill, you were pressured and forced to give the woman, who was getting paid, money every time.

Delicious, hearty food in generous portions – just what you'd expect from a brewery! The beer was really good, and the schnapps didn't disappoint either. All in all, a successful evening – we'd love to come back!

I don't understand all the positive reviews. The food was mediocre. The dumplings were cold and hard inside, so they weren't fresh, just reheated. Absolutely unacceptable! The food also came out much too quickly. A clear indication that it wasn't freshly prepared... I've had much better German food elsewhere.

We had made a reservation for lunch, but there was no table set up for us. We were seated next to a brew kettle that was being cleaned; it was drafty, cold, and damp. To receive our food, I had to get up and walk to the barrier of high tables that blocked the passage in front of the brew kettle. We've been going there for years, sometimes with guests, but we'll probably refrain from doing so in the future.

We went for Mother's Day dinner. It was full and we had to wait, but our station waiter completely ignored us. Another waitress who was also serving on the terrace was friendly enough to take over his job. Some of the prices are not justified for the food. The beer is fine, I wouldn't complain about that. However, charging almost €17 for a simple baked potato with quark is not justified. Frozen turkey schnitzel and some potato salad is over €20, no thanks, not again. As a guest you are also expected to pay for the toilet, even though you are the customer paying for food and drink on site. Sorry, but that's where understanding ends.

A fine, first-class, and perfectly equipped brewery with ample capacity for events and clubs. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The home-brewed beer tastes delicious. The bread and side dishes are also excellent. Overall, a great concept that's definitely worth a visit in Berlin!

Great brewery with great local beers different for every season. The food is typical German and I would say expensive. Nice atmosphere. One of the nicest beer halls in Berlin over time, it's worth a visit since it's very close to the U station.

The Spandauer Brauhaus is very well located, near the Havel in a park. The brewery building is an old brick building in which the copper kettles of the brewing system are located in the central room behind the counter. The beer is impressive, the price-performance ratio of the grill knuckle is 1A.

I was only there as a dining guest without staying overnight, so I can't rate the rooms. The food and drinks were very tasty, as the name suggests, Annett is a brewery. Accordingly, there are a variety of beer specialties as well as beer-based schnapps. The portions are reasonable for the price, but the tables are a bit small in some parts of this establishment, so that you sit very tightly with four people. The ambience and service are great and you are served very quickly. Even if the house is busy, you don't have to wait too long for a service person.
