Very good food, friendly service and child-friendly

A really nice restaurant. Friendly staff. Good service. Good menu. Not overwhelming. The food was very good.

We reserved a table for 6 pm, arriving a little earlier to avoid peak time. Unfortunately, it then took 1.5 hours for the food to be served. The food itself was good, though. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this restaurant to friends.

Last Saturday, we visited "Das Landhaus" without a reservation. After a friendly welcome, we were seated in the restaurant. Since there were only two of us, we had a choice of tables. Very nice. What followed was perfect! Friendly and attentive service, good food, ample time between courses, and a pleasant atmosphere rounded off the evening. We'd gladly come back. Our recommendation is the Wiener Schnitzel, classically prepared with incredibly delicious fried potatoes, cucumber salad, cranberries, and of course, lemon. A huge portion that should satisfy even the hungriest guest.

Coffee table for dinner If you want to eat at 8 pm and have to sit on the floor at a coffee table, the evening is simply bad. The service and customer friendliness are unfortunately abysmal.

I've often been there alone for lunch, but when you're alone, you're ignored, the staff is unfriendly, and I had to wait a long time to place my order even though I tried to get their attention several times. I've also had better food elsewhere...

The previously good to very good impression was unfortunately marred by the fact that, while the fryer was in operation, the entire contents were being vented towards the dining area. We fled immediately, but the stench lingered in all our clothes.

A pretty place for dinner with ample room between tables to allow for conversation, the menu was full of seasonal and traditional local selections. Excited, I ordered the cream of chestnut soup and the goosebreast with red cabbage. The presentation was immaculate. However, the flavor was lacking. The croutons and beet garnish seemed inappropriate. And worse, it didn't taste like chestnut soup, the subtle chestnut was overwhelmed with other herbs and overall it was too salty. The goosebreast was succulent, the sauce abundant but overly salty, the skin was sadly not crispy, all of which led to the minus one star review. As to the red cabbage... it stayed with me a long long time. When fresh, that doesn't happen. My dining partner ordered the roast beef, a massive plate with all types of greens and reds covering the slice of beef. It wasn't meant to be a salad, but it sure looked like one. In short, lovely, but there's more to aim for in the food dept.

I sent my brief criticism to the restaurant via email, but unfortunately never received a reply, so I'm posting it here. Dear Sir or Madam, Yesterday afternoon, three of us dined at Landhaus Schöneberg, a place we usually enjoy: the food is delicious, and the service is friendly. However, something bothered me: I went to the restaurant a week in advance to reserve a round table by the window. The employee who took the reservation said he couldn't guarantee a table, as that always leads to problems. Okay. As I feared, my preferred table was indeed occupied. At other restaurants, I'm used to reservations being noted on the table with the time, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Oh well, I thought, that's just how it is here, only to discover to my surprise and a little annoyance that tables had indeed been reserved. I think the reservation process definitely needs improvement.

I would like to say a huge thank you for the delicious food, the excellent service from the entire team, and the relaxed atmosphere both inside and out, and I am happy to give you 5***** stars.

A nice restaurant with a large outdoor area. We've eaten there several times, but last time we visited, we ate inside. Unfortunately, the restaurant has no ventilation, and our entire wardrobe, including our down coats, smelled so strongly of food that we had to wash and air everything out immediately after our visit. Our friends had the same experience. That's a real shame, and means we'll be taking a winter break at the country house and waiting outside again when the weather is good.

Great atmosphere, good location. My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The earplugs, which were provided on the nightstand, worried that sleeping right on the main road might be uncomfortable. But everything was fine; we felt very comfortable across the street. Breakfast was also great. 10 euros per person.

We were there for breakfast today on Sunday with eight people. The place was completely packed, and everything was reserved. The service was busy, but still very friendly and attentive. Great breakfast selection, delicious, and very plentiful. For example, the "Landhaus Spezial" for two people is easily enough for 3-4 people. We were kindly given aluminum containers to take the leftovers with us. That was great. We had a lovely time in a pleasantly casual atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Pfifferlinge mushrooms are in season. The purslane salad I had was delicious, the cocktails weren't bad either, and the service was generally good, except for the Far Eastern waiter who was very sullen and curt.

We celebrated my sister's 70th birthday with a large group of 25 people at brunch one Sunday. I have to say, the guys and girls did a fantastic job. Courteous, attentive, and unpretentious. On top of that, the rest of the place was full, and they were pretty busy. Truly great food. I highly recommend this wonderful place in Schöneberg. Bärbel Ziegfeld

Yes, we've been there several times, and everything was perfect. We were there again after a long time. Everything was still perfect. We've now booked a table for about 15 people for a round of birthdays and received friendly advice.

Today I was there again for lunch. The fried veal liver with mashed potatoes, apple, and onion, along with delicious gravy, was truly delicious, a generous portion, and for the price of €9.90, absolutely fair. I also had a non-alcoholic bitter aperitif with lunch for only €3.90. So, I spent €22 including tip and felt extremely comfortable. My companion, who had the Wiener schnitzel, fried potatoes, and homemade lemon soda, was equally impressed; he didn't know the restaurant. Thank you so much for the great lunch. I always enjoy going there; it's definitely the perfect place for me.

Landhaus Schöneberg Restaurant* ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars) Our stay at the Landhaus was very pleasant. The ambiance is inviting and cozy. We had reserved a table for four in advance. It was surprisingly quiet on a Friday evening – there were few guests either inside or outside. Despite the low occupancy, we unfortunately had to wait about 1.5 hours for our food. That was a shame, especially since the service was friendly. The food was delicious and beautifully presented – however, it lacked a certain kick in the spice. *Conclusion:* A lovely, quiet German restaurant with a cozy outdoor area and a varied menu. Due to the long wait, we deducted one star. Overall, though, it's recommended! Thanks to the service team

Yummy selection on vegan and meat dishes! Good outdoor and interior seatings. There's no English menu but your local companion can always help translate. The spritz drinks are a must. So refreshing!

Three of us went for breakfast on Sunday. The food was excellent, there was plenty on the plate, the atmosphere was great, and the service was fantastic and prompt from a very attentive, dark-haired waitress. We were completely satisfied. A huge thank you, and highly recommended. We'll be back.

Nice restaurant in a beautiful area – the food was good, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. Two bottles of champagne weren't served with nuts because they weren't available (we've experienced this before), and the fact that the olives served as substitutes were then charged was completely unacceptable! The service could also be improved. Too bad, we won't be returning.

So really, the food is good, the ambience too and all of that would be worth 4-5 stars. Unfortunately, the service gives the impression that you are somehow being a nuisance. They are placed. The customer is king? No, this awareness still has to arrive somehow as a service. For example, if you sit there with a group and ask what cake is on offer, the answer should not be: I just came, take a look for yourself, but then the older waitress might have to get some information. And the attention in other respects leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes you wait quite a long time for the coffee, which is actually already ready. As I said, the food and ambience are highly recommended. If the other things were also true, that would be a great thing.

The food was tasty, but it wasn't really good value for money. The scampi appetizer felt like half a loaf of toasted bread and an avocado salad that was actually sweet peppers in unseasoned guacamole... 17 euros isn't fair for three frozen-sized scampi from a discount store. The beef fillet was well cooked, but not worth 32 euros, as it wasn't even grilled. There was no salt or pepper, and the herb butter was probably from Meggle, something similar. The presentation shows the intention, but also the lack of contemporary awareness. A full plate doesn't justify the price.

I generally liked this place. And I've been going there 2-4 times a week lately. I always order a lot of food, drinks, coffee, etc., and I tip a lot each time. This time I just wanted a small glass of tap water in addition to the two other things I ordered. I was told I could only get that with an espresso. Apparently not with a latte (which is actually much more expensive). "They only sell water here," the waitress/manager said. Well, if you can't get a small glass of water in addition to two other orders, then I'm out. That's exactly how you lose customers. That's just bad service and customer treatment. In theory, I could continue going there 2-4 times a week, but not if regular customers who live in the neighborhood are treated like that.

Two of us came here for breakfast with a baby. We've been here several times because we really like the Landhaus Schöneberg. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. We recommend making a reservation on weekends. It's nice that you're greeted warmly at the entrance and then shown to a table. The interior is chic and somewhat upscale. The generally upscale ambiance is also evident in the staff. They're dressed well, very friendly, and engaging. You can see that attention is paid to service. We enjoyed the breakfast. The portions are almost a bit too large. But you can easily take what you don't finish with you. We also liked that they offer lunch. We'll try that next time. We also liked that they have a changing table. They even provide wet wipes and diapers. Great! If you're looking for good, home-style food in a somewhat upscale atmosphere, you'll find it here.

Great cafe with great coffee. Normal almost hard-boiled eggs under a whip of thick hollandaise from the tetra pack do not make Eggs Benedict.

I can't recommend the place. I expect to be selected in this price range. The serving should be classic and not end up being left on the table and the croisants could be better. Too bad.

We spent wonderful hours here after the wedding. Requests were taken into account, children were welcome and could move around freely, we even had a large dog with us that lay peacefully under the table the whole time. The staff was very nice and hardworking. We can highly recommend it. We'll be back.

The restaurant is nicely decorated. We have been with you for the third time. We had reserved a table. Right next to the toilet, very unfortunate. The food wasn't good. The staff didn't ask about that. The service was subpar. Unfortunately we were ignored. We waited over an hour for the food. When we asked, the misery was attributed to a lack of personnel. Service in a better restaurant is different. Next time we'll look for another alternative in this round. We didn't have a nice evening with you and are bitterly disappointed.

A really beautiful country house. Small and quite nice. Fast, friendly service. Tasty food. My recommendation: tartare. It is really freshly prepared at the table and tastes very good.

Ein heller, sauberer Gastraum und eine große Terrasse zum Draußen-Essen bei schönem Wetter. Große Auswahl an Fisch, Fleisch, Vegetarischen Gerichten und Snacks für Zwischendurch. Große Auswahl an guten Weinen, Bier und sehr leckerer selbstgemachte Limonade. Mittags und Abends recht voll, es ist besser, einen Tisch zu reservieren. Hier fehlt nichts man kann immer wieder hingehen.

We were here at lunchtime and took advantage of the offer. Perfectly fried fish, with very tasty al dente vegetables and delicious roasted potatoes. The service is very attentive and friendly, all orders are quickly and completely at the table. For dessert there was coffee and cake, both very tasty.

Absolutely rude and disrespectful staff!! They were mad at me that I asked where is my lunch after 35 min of waiting for poor schnitzel and potatoes, that for 10 euro is ridiculous. No salad or drink included by the way… If you can’t provide fast service for people that work nearby and have only 30 min for lunch than DONT MAKE LUNCH in your restaurant:)))) My whole mood was destroyed because I felt that I’m very unwelcomed there I’ll find better place to come and have everyday lunch with more nice people in service

There were four of us, January 25, and we were all very satisfied. Service was very nice, attentive, waiting times were okay, despite the restaurant being full on an early Friday evening. All orders were very tasty, well prepared and filling portions. The crowning glory was the caramelized Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. The only thing that could be topped here is a delicious plum jam - the apple sauce was ok too. Drinks were also good, not overpriced. We cannot understand the negative reviews. Everything was great today!

The country house impresses with its culinary sophistication: the Zurich Geschnetzelte was excellently seasoned and perfectly balanced. A treat that left you full and happy 🥰

We were there for Christmas dinner together and ate a la carte. The portions were good, the food was tasty. Overall it is very loud and communication at the table became difficult. The service was okay.

Update from 12/25/24: Ate there again today. A lot has changed. The staff is inattentive and they don't ask if anything else can be served. After the dessert menu was requested, there was no further demand. There are waves of extremely unpleasant smells coming from the kitchen or dishwasher area. A goose was carved at a table so unprofessionally that you could be glad you didn't order it. After these experiences I will no longer visit the establishment. Original review: Adequate menu with a good selection, not overloaded. Very friendly, attentive service. The food is good. Hot food all day long. The ambient style corresponds to the name. We have already made reservations for Christmas Day again.

Breakfast until 3 p.m. and really until 3 p.m. not like a competitor (around the corner) who says at 2:30 p.m. that there is no more. Super nice operation and service. No extremely long waiting times. Food was also very, very tasty. Gladly again. 😍😍😍

So, I had to take everything off because of the heat there. I sat in my undershirt. Your room is completely overheated. But the clientele is more over 50. The waitress was super nice and the others did a great job too. I would hire it immediately. But anyone who has to work at full speed for several hours every evening in the stuffy air will definitely be happy when the evening ends. Hopefully with a good tip payout. My avocado burger was very strange. The fried potatoes with the schnitzel are thick and fatty. I could breathe a sigh of relief outside by the fire. Probably won't go there again. It's something for dignified Schöneberg country nobility people

The three of us had dinner in the restaurant on November 29th, 2024. I ordered veal cheeks with mashed potatoes/Brussels sprouts for €25.90. As I was eating I noticed that half of the veal cheeks were fat. The mashed potatoes didn't taste good either. The waitress was very friendly and served me an espresso to make up for it. In my opinion, it is a disgrace to serve the guest such a meal at this price point. I previously knew the restaurant as Café Tomasa. I was always happy with the food there. It was my first time in the current Landhaus Schöneberg and I was totally disappointed. I definitely won't come back.
