My Bremer Knipp was once again very good. The atmosphere is inviting and the service is good.

Three girls ordered a HAXENPFANNE and two glasses of wine Mushrooms, pork, potatoes, and mushroom sauce are all delicious! There aren’t many people there to eat at noon on weekdays, and the environment is very comfortable~

Delicious thick slices of Bremer Knipp eaten on a large quantity of fried potatoes. The portion was traditionally large, for a reasonable price. The home-brewed beers are very tasty. And I was lucky that I visited the restaurant during happy hour, which made the tasty house beer very cheap. :-)

A friend and I ordered currywurst with fries before a Werder game. The food was served to us lukewarm. Neither the fries nor the sausage were done... As compensation there was a short drink from the waitress... The neighboring tables were also affected by the food... The chef probably didn't have his best day...

It was an amazing experience at Schüttinger. One of the oldest restaurants in the main city area. A typical German style food like Schnitzel, Bratwurst & Currywurst is available here. To drink one can have a plethora of options. From Beer to Wine everything is available here. A must visit if you are in Bremen for a night.

Nice restaurant in Bremen. Solid house beer and traditional German food. I am hoping that the waitress was in training, because it was very poor service. They did not check in on us and seemed very confused on how to deal with payment at the end splitting a bill. Good food and atmosphere, poor service.

The kettle goulash consisted of 50% mushrooms. Stupid if you don't like mushrooms and there's nothing about them on the menu.

Went there with a larger group and made a reservation. Our place was a slightly larger table in a corner area, with another table for 2 next to it that was occupied. Very cramped. In addition, there was always a nice sewer smell wafting through the toilets, which didn't exactly increase our appetite. The food was a complete disaster. For example, I had the Hamburger Schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was tasteless and totally watery, the fried potatoes were okay, the fried egg itself was well fried, unfortunately not a crumb of salt or pepper. Unfortunately, the other group members' food was also very disappointing (dry fish, watery/runny poultry, etc.). The service was friendly to us, but totally overwhelmed. A young lady dropped something every 20 minutes and the waiter who served us had an argument with a guest at the next table, attacked him afterwards and insulted him severely after two half well-aimed blows. The guest was very drunk and actually didn't behave well, but as an employee in the catering industry, that's not possible, it's simply unprofessional. Afterwards he cashed in directly from us, you could tell how intimidated my female companions were (even though I found the show amusing). Not recommended

Cozy as it should be in a brewery. The red one is super tasty, malty and strong. The waitresses are very attentive, relaxed and nice. And the food they serve is super delicious.

We were there as a large group. We had reserved and sat further back. This was good because it was easier to have a conversation in the back. The portions were very generous and the staff were without exception very friendly. From there we walked to the Bremen Town Musicians. :)

You can go there and eat well. But it's not outstanding either. I had a knuckle pan with fried potatoes and mushroom sauce, which was way too much of everything for me. The knuckle meat was tasty, but seared quite crisply and a bit too dry for my taste. The mushroom sauce was very tasty, but simply overpowered everything on the plate. The fried potatoes somewhere underneath were way too soft (as were the plates of my companions). Overall, it was okay, but after less than halfway through, it became a challenge. And I'm actually a good eater. My son's schnitzel was also rather so-so. The breading was too soft and lacked flavor. The fries were good. My wife had the veggie Knipp, which was okay. The service was rather semi-motivated, when you finally got them to the table. Charm was a foreign word. The location itself is very nice and, of course, in a great location.

Delicious beer and hearty food! I've been here every time I've visited Bremen so far for the tasty beer and the cozy atmosphere. The food is typical brewery style, everyone will find what they are looking for here and the prices are totally ok. The service sometimes seems a bit reserved and overwhelmed for a brewery, but you still feel comfortable. It's worth a detour for all visitors to Bremen, even if it's just for a beer.

“Blond” and “Red” beers are highly recommended. As a Hamburger, I suspect that a reservation is required on the weekend.

It's amazing. I recommend the Shinitzel, but the portion is too big, it can comfortably seat two people, it's quite delicious. The employees are very kind and helpful, drink plenty of it, it's the reason I go to Bremene again.

Really nice atmosphere. Service and food are great. But one thing really bothered me. I arrived just after opening time. I don't know German so I asked in English "Is the bar open?" One of the two female staff said "yes." Then she turned to the person next to her and said a sentence in German. Then they both laughed. I felt it was an insulting sentence. I hope I felt wrong.

Das Schüttinger - sicher ein Besuch wert. Gute Speisekarte, Service o.k., Essen schmackhaft. Sicher kein Highlight, aber durchaus empfehlenswert.

Wir haben eine Kohltour gemacht. Essen gab es nicht "satt", sondern lediglich ein Schüsselchen Kohl und Kartoffeln pro Tisch. Die Temperatur war lauwarm. Das Personal war nicht aufmerksam, stand teilweise zu Dritt an der Bar und konzentrierte sich auf das eigene Handy, statt auf die Gäste. Gläser und Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt. Getränke sporadisch nachgereicht. Alles in allem eher enttäuschend.

Brasserie avec les plats typiques allemand et leur propre bière Schüttinger. Le service est rapide ce qui est un plus quand on travaille. L'équipe est à l'écoute et agréable. Attention pour le soir, à partir d'une certaine heure, seuls les boissons sont commandables. Très bon rapport qualité.

Gezellig restaurant in het oude centrum van Bremen met een heerlijk eigen biertje. Een niet al te uitgebreid menu maar wat er op staat is prima. In mijn geval een heerlijke schnitzel. Een vriendelijke en snelle bediening.

We had a wonderful cabbage trip, good, fast, friendly service. The orders were taken quickly and the drinks were on the table in no time, all evening long. The food came to the table quickly and hot, it was always refilled, an optional dessert would have been nice. Small deduction in the "B grade", we always reward good service with a tip, but we don't think it's appropriate to beg for a tip - baskets were spread out on the tables to be filled with tips. The music, “Kohlfahrt - Party - Music”, was right, we had fun. It was not possible to reach the house via telephone! We tried at different times of the day, during regular opening hours, no one accepted a call, and sometimes there are questions that you would like to quickly clarify over the phone at short notice. Then you should remove the phone number from the website and point out that communication only takes place via email. It was a nice Kohl party in February 2025

Super great house with a good kitchen! This brewery doesn't have to hide from Bavarian breweries, even the knuckle tastes no worse than in Bavaria. The light unfiltered beer is very tasty, a little too carbonated but tastes great.

Tanto el pollo a la parrilla como el schnitzel parecían haber sido sacados del congelador y simplemente fritos, y tanto por el sabor como por la apariencia de los platos era obvio que no era comida fresca. Un plato tenía tanta salsa de yogur que la patata horneada se ahogó en él... era bastante poco apetitoso y con tanta salsa hubiera sido mejor tenerlo en un bol al lado. El personal estaba bastante poco interesado en nosotros los huéspedes y no ofreció una sola sonrisa. . No, esperábamos mucho más de un restaurante tan acogedor y sólido, así que por desgracia no podemos recomendarlo.

Phew, that was bad. Were here in the Hanseatenstube for a crime dinner. Of course, Schüttinger can't do anything about the bad actors, but he can do nothing about the acoustics. The background noise from the rest of the inn was so loud that the actors could hardly be heard. The service was okay, the numerous waiters were good. But the food. Help! At best, lower canteen level. That can't be what the chefs (?) want. The porcini mushroom soup is a far too thick soup mush. The main course was anything but culinary art. Those must have been ready-made fried potatoes, as well as the hard schnitzel. There was also a small knuckle, three fatty Nuremberg sausages and a piece of meat cheese, so everything was just warmed up, although warm would have been good, but it wasn't. For dessert there was vanilla ice cream, which had already been frozen in the glass bowl, which meant that it had already taken on the smell of the freezer cabinet. Unfortunately there was only a minimal selection of non-alcoholic drinks. So I can unfortunately recommend the Schüttinger. Too bad.

A very nice location, everything made of wood and not too much decorated for Christmas. The food was very good, but mine was only lukewarm, probably due to the busyness on Boxing Day. The service was very nice but a bit scattered at the beginning. When we are back in Bremen we will definitely come back

Typical tourist restaurant, all restaurants in the Schlachte are better. The Viennese veal schnitzel was chewy and the roulade was dry. Waiters unprofessional and only looking for tips.

That was a Christmas flop. We had dinner there with the family on Christmas Day. The assigned table was in an area that was completely cold and could not be heated up any further. We were lucky and were allowed to move to another table. Starters and main courses came at the same time. We sent the main courses back and 15 minutes later they were only served lukewarm. In the middle of the meal, the waiter wanted to clear away the first few plates. We rejected him again. This was unbeatable in terms of unprofessionalism.

The beer was very drinkable, but there is still room for improvement when it comes to food. We were there with a group and there were a lot of things wrong: duck breast was tough, pollock was fried dry, fries were not in the deep fryer for too long and the schnitzel was lukewarm. It was a shame because we were really looking forward to this seminar evening. A free round of schnapps was very nice, but it couldn't make up for the food.

It used to be a nice place to stay! The food is getting worse and worse, dishes are disappearing completely from the menu (ham knuckle pan, for example) or are sold out, prices are rising and rising! Prices are called that are beyond good and evil and then for Brauerschnitzel and all other dishes with mushrooms you get mushrooms from a jar or a can! Since there were new staff in the kitchen, things have been steadily going downhill! Furthermore, you can count on one hand the waitresses who are really on their toes! It feels like it takes forever until the drinks are consumed, let alone until the food finally arrives. You don't have to use the Christmas business as an excuse!
