When there is a lot going on, like today, the noise level is very high.

Disappointing experience – poor value for money ⭐⭐ (2 out of 5 stars) Unfortunately, after our visit to El Mundo Bremen, we cannot recommend it. The steak we ordered was tough and in no way corresponded to the price charged. We are aware that this is a natural product and quality fluctuations can occur – which is precisely why we would have expected a more appropriate response from the service. After we alerted the staff to the problem, we were only offered a hazelnut schnapps as compensation. We found this an inadequate solution for a main course that fell well short of our expectations. The robots that deliver the food are a nice gimmick and may be technically interesting, but they don't replace the basic product quality that one would expect at these prices. The restaurant should rethink its priorities here: Gimmicks are all well and good, but the most important thing remains good value for money in the food itself. It's a shame – an opportunity was missed here to turn a legitimate complaint into a satisfied guest.

Unfortunately, the roll-top was a bit cold. The tuna in the bowl was still half-frozen, and the vegetables were canned. The taste was okay. I waved to the waiter four times that we wanted to order something else, but all he did was grin and quickly look away. They apparently didn't want to make any more money. After 45 minutes, we got up and paid. There was no goodbye or question about whether everything was OK. It's a shame, because the menu is appealing. We won't be back.

A large restaurant with fast and friendly service. Food quality is good, although the Gaucho pfanne steak was not really tender. The rest of the courses were delightful. I had the Mendoza pfanne and the chicken was good and tender. Meals are abundant, doggy bags can be asked for. We enjoyed the cocktails.

El Mundo – a kind of top dog among Bremen's restaurants, known far beyond the city limits. Excellent food and friendly, attentive staff. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is very large and busy and noisy, especially on weekends. People go to El Mundo for the good food, less for the atmosphere.

The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were just right. We were there on a Thursday around 6:00 p.m., and it wasn't too busy. The service was friendly and very attentive. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves and will be back...

Rump steak with green asparagus and potato gratin for €33 The steak was perfect. However, the green asparagus was dry and half of it was woody (inedible). The potato gratin was standard, with a typical commercial kitchen flavor. Atmosphere: With the sun low in the sky, it's impossible to make eye contact with the person sitting across from you at the table by the window, as the sun shines too brightly.

With a group of 11 people, we were able to reserve a table for Saturday evening on Saturday afternoon. The staff were extremely friendly both on the phone and in person, and despite the restaurant being full, they weren't stressed. The food was delicious and, above all, plentiful, and the children were thoroughly entertained by the serving robots. I hadn't been there for about 10 years, but now I'm back, and it was worth it!

Everything was good - I'd go back. However, some of the portions are very (!) large!

We went to this establishment for dinner with a large group. One meal was forgotten, two dishes were too salty, and the rosemary potatoes had no salt. Not everyone likes it, but three out of ten were satisfied. Quality over quantity is my motto, especially when an animal has died for it. Which brings us to the last point: portions could be 20% smaller, and the price could go down with it. Service was okay. Carlos (the blond waiter) seemed new; he was a bit clueless, but a dark-haired waiter took over and was very relaxed with us. As we were a group of different ages, we would have been happy if some of us had been. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it in terms of value for money; I hope things change. Great location, nice atmosphere.

The restaurant is highly recommended. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and competent. Reservations are not necessary, but recommended. The value for money is absolutely fine. While the prices are a bit higher, the portions are quite large and of very good quality, which justifies and compensates for the price. Our appetizers were so large that they would pass as main courses in other restaurants. Our request for extra bread so we could continue to enjoy the tzatziki and tomato sauce for the meatballs was promptly accommodated and not charged extra. The drinks/cocktails were excellent and also reasonably priced. Containers were provided for any food that we didn't finish. These had to be paid for separately, but that's fine. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the pleasant time we were able to spend.

Unfortunately, my visit to the restaurant didn't impress me. The pan-fried dish I ordered was served in a very rich, fatty cream sauce, which meant the meat didn't really stand out. Overall, the dish was more reminiscent of a typical delivery service, which didn't meet my expectations for a restaurant of this standard. However, I would like to highlight the pizza that a companion ordered, which was of impeccable quality. The interior ambiance struck me as more like a spacious cafeteria, albeit with stylish decor. The outdoor area was also uninviting in my opinion. I'm particularly critical of the way leftovers are handled: guests are simply handed an aluminum tray into which they have to transfer their food themselves. The explanation that this is a consequence of the coronavirus situation doesn't seem plausible to me – after all, the food is regularly served without gloves or masks. For an establishment that clearly aims to appeal to an upscale clientele, this approach is, in my opinion, inappropriate and was also perceived as inhospitable by everyone at the table.

We were at El Mundo with friends yesterday. It was a relaxed evening with good food and drinks, but there was no printed drinks menu. It's annoying when everyone pulls out their phones to scan the code on the digital menu, but otherwise everything was fine. See you next time.

The food and location were okay :) - but the service and pricing were remarkable :( Hi, we moved a family birthday celebration to El Mundo yesterday evening. The location is still a beautiful restaurant with a huge dining room, modern restrooms, large chandeliers in the high ceiling, and small mobile bots that can automatically deliver food to the table to assist the waiters, which always provides entertainment. The food was also okay, although not as outstanding as it was on our last visit two years ago. The restaurant hasn't specialized in its food selection. The "multi-ethnic kitchen" offers a bit of everything, including pasta, pizza, and steak, which you can get as standard dishes at many other places, at cheaper prices, and also homemade. Especially since, in my opinion, the warmth and comfortable atmosphere that existed there two years ago seem to have completely disappeared. Despite having made a reservation days before, the table was devoid of any birthday decorations as usual, not even a simple candle. It said there. Right at the beginning, we were informed that a small fountain (€1.50 surcharge) was only available with at least one scoop of ice cream (€2.90). Other restaurants can also clip these to a small glass and give you the freedom to choose whether and how many desserts you want. With one of the main courses, shrimp were suddenly served with the pasta instead of the ordered salmon pieces. They offered to replace the dish, but they said it wasn't sustainable, so we accepted it. Despite their responsibility for the error, these six unordered shrimp were subsequently charged an extra €6.00. Even the bill only arrived printed afterward upon our express request. The initial display only offered us the total of a hefty €104.50, with a quick glance at the items, which I couldn't quite grasp. With fountains for €1.50, a thimble of Grana Padano for €1.00, or even an aluminum tray The restaurant now seems to me as if they'd rather start charging for the air they breathe or the water they use in the restroom. Although it's open until 11 p.m. and there were still several guests there, the chandeliers and background music were turned off at 10 p.m. Probably an indirect request to leave, which fits with my previous impression of the place. The location is still nice, as I said, but given the mediocre service, lack of a welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the hefty prices and surcharges, I absolutely can't recommend it anymore.

We've been to El Mundo several times, and we enjoyed it today, just as we did years ago. In the early afternoon, it was still quiet and not too crowded. The atmosphere is lovely, with plenty of space between tables, and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Watching the service robots is especially enjoyable for the younger guests. Our son was thrilled. The portions are large; even the children's meal was generous. We enjoyed the food and it was attractively presented. Sure, there were a lot of semi-finished products used; that's standard practice in many restaurants these days (who still beats the schnitzel to ensure it's served fresh, or who still chops the vegetables for curry or salad? :-)), but well-prepared, it still tastes good. And the value is right.

We went to "El Mundo" with my girlfriend in August 2025. The food was delicious, although the price was quite high (we spent over €100 for the two of us), but the ambiance is upscale, so the price is reasonable. However, when we asked for the leftovers to be packed (the portions were quite generous and there were plenty of leftovers), we were brought aluminum containers without comment. These sat on the table for ten minutes until a waiter came and informed us that due to COVID-19 restrictions, guests now had to pack their leftovers themselves. I tried to explain to him that I had already eaten there two weeks ago and that his colleague in the kitchen had politely packed our food – we were very pleased with the evening. The waiter, however, refused to listen to me and reacted very abruptly. I understand that such measures were necessary during the pandemic, but now this policy seems like a step backwards in service and does not match the restaurant's standards. In the end, I was left with a stain on my pants, uncooperative service, and a ruined evening.

The food is great and the service is also top notch.

We've been guests at El Mundo ever since the small student bar in Walle became a magnet. The expansion hasn't hurt, but over the last three visits, the quality has suffered significantly, while the prices have remained the same. What was particularly negative was the staff's clear expressions of displeasure when the tip wasn't as high as requested. We initially thought this was a one-time slip-up (which, incidentally, arose because I hadn't understood the price correctly) and tried it again. The reaction was similar. So, it seems to be the program! It's a shame, it used to be one of the best addresses in Bremen...

The staff is very friendly and the food is very plentiful, and the prices are moderate. I'd happily return.

€19 of tasteless pasta with canned mushrooms. If you're looking for cheap food, you'll find it here. I prefer to order from a delivery service for €11, at least I get fresh mushrooms.

Slight station hall feeling, but the food is top

The food at El Mundo Bremen was incredibly delicious, and the menu is also really great. There's a great selection here. However, you should definitely make a reservation in advance, as it can fill up quickly. Unfortunately, my visit wasn't quite as pleasant: The staff seemed a bit strange to me, I had to signal my presence several times to order, and the waitresses had rather grim looks. Furthermore, my companion and I were given a rather uncomfortable table right at the back, against the wall, which somewhat dampened the experience.

A wonderful restaurant! I would recommend everyone to go for dinner, even for a short break 😉

We ate at El Mundo last night. Very good food and delicious drinks. A big thank you to our waiter last night (Valerian), who was friendly and very attentive. He even stopped by to ask if everything was okay with the food and drinks. Unfortunately, that's too rare in today's restaurants. We'll be happy to come back and will definitely be back. Nice restaurant with great food and good service

We were here as a couple. The food was delicious and the service was great. Despite the size of the place and the large number of guests, the service was very good! Awesome concept!

Generally speaking, it's really nice, and the food always tastes great. The portions are large, and you're really full afterward. But I have to say, the price trend no longer has anything to do with good or evil, let alone inflation. They just increase prices because they can and people will pay for it. In 2018, we paid €15 for the Pavo dish. Now it costs €24, and nothing has changed about the food. Wages, etc., are rising, no question, but such a large markup is disproportionate. You really have to consider whether it's even worth the money for a simple meal.

I returned here after a long time and was not disappointed. As always, the food was delicious, the wait times were pleasant, and the staff were very attentive.

A lovely ambiance with a large crowd (reservations recommended). The portions are generous and the food is delicious. On our last visit, I must mention the extremely friendly waitresses, who were also very attentive to our children. There are also robot cats to help with serving, which our children found particularly fascinating. There's also a small children's menu. There's also a cocktail happy hour with a wide selection until 7 p.m.

I went there with my husband and our son – despite no reservation and a long line, we managed to get a table. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very fair. We spent a lovely evening with the two most important men in my life. I recommend it wholeheartedly – we'll definitely be back!

The food tastes nothing special...and that's unfortunately the problem. When I go out to eat, I want to taste something "special," not something I get from the pizza delivery service. The food, as I said, was "okay," but not an experience. The ambiance and service were excellent.

Had a delicious meal in a beautiful restaurant. A wide selection of vegetarian dishes. Portions were too large for many people. We took a lot of doggie bags home. That's nice, of course, but I think the option to order a smaller meal would be better. That makes the meal more enjoyable and ultimately reduces waste.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, but the food was unfortunately not impressive. The meat was so dry that it had been prepared and then reheated. Almost all the dishes were completely overseasoned; the chicken had too much curry, the rice tasted only of garlic, and the eggplant puree had so much cumin that you couldn't taste the other ingredients.

The weather was really nice yesterday. There was neither wind nor rain. We were looking forward to sitting outside on the terrace with friends. We were told it would be too much work to open the terrace. And then you have to sit somewhere where you're told to pay for what you leave there. Should it already be included? Choose your own seat or just sit outside. I think it's like being in the Bundeswehr, which I find very unfortunate. I used to feel completely at home there, but unfortunately, not anymore. The food also tastes completely different these days. It's incomparable. For that money, I can sit and eat anywhere nicer or nicer.

A truly fantastic restaurant that's very inviting. We were in Bremen over the weekend, and El Mundo was recommended to us locally. We found a fantastic menu that left nothing to be desired. All of the guests were very satisfied. Delicious food and really friendly and helpful staff. Even the robot assistant was smiling the whole time. 😉 All in all, highly recommended.

Unfortunately unrecognizable after a change of ownership and staff The restaurant used to be one of my favorite places – warm, authentic, and with personalized service. Since the complete change of ownership and team, none of that remains. The reception was cold and uninviting. Particularly disappointing: seating was assigned arbitrarily and without consideration for other guests present – a very unpleasant feeling. The food is still okay, but without the familiar atmosphere and respectful treatment, the visit is no longer worth the price. It's a real shame what has become of this once charming restaurant.

Lots of choice, attentive staff

I had a pizza quattro stagioni...which, sorry, tasted of nothing. The pizza was very dry, not at all moist. The crust had the consistency of crispbread. I had ordered extra garlic on the pizza...even that was dried and thinly sliced. In short: For a restaurant like this, the pizza was simply pathetic.

Very tasty food. Friendly staff. Funny robots bring the food. Ambience okay, a large hall, therefore loud acoustics. The apple crumble is highly recommended.

It was a lovely stay, the food was great.

The food was delicious, and the service was exemplary. If you can't finish the huge portion and want to take something to go, you have to pack it yourself. That's not a big deal, but at that price, it's a definite no-go. It made me feel unwelcome and like everyone was staring. However, since I can only eat very little for health reasons and always have to pack something, I won't be visiting the store again for that reason alone.

The ambiance is a matter of taste, somewhere between a train station concourse and a trendy hangout, but we like it. Always worth a visit! Also fascinating, by the way, is watching the cute service robots that help the staff at work. Update March 2023: Everything was perfect tonight: super delicious food, good service, despite a full house! Update March 2024: Perfect all around. Great food and drinks, perfectly attentive service, huge portions, you can take leftovers home. Update July 2025: Portions are still huge, actually much too big (see photos). No one can manage three courses here, two if you're really hungry! Still, delicious again!

THE restaurant in Bremen! A fantastic location on the Weser River with a fantastic terrace overlooking the Weser and the marina. The food has been amazing since El Mundo opened, back then in the heart of Bremen, and the cocktails are also a hit! The service is excellent and personalized at your table! It's busy, so always make a reservation! The cuisine is international and there's something for every taste! Excellent quality! We'd be back anytime!

A great restaurant! We agree – the appetizer platter is enough for more than two people. We couldn't finish our main course afterward, but were able to take it with us in the provided containers. The service was absolutely brilliant, very friendly, and super attentive. We'd love to come back!! 🙂

Consistently good food, but the service can be a bit inattentive at times. In summer, the outdoor seating is highly recommended, especially at sunset.

Hello foodies...😊 I really enjoy coming here with my wife; it was delicious back in Walle, too. My favorites: Asian Platter Pavo Mixed Fish I personally think the price-performance ratio is reasonable...we always leave the restaurant instead...if the food isn't finished, you can also pack it up and take it with you. The service is always very friendly and accommodating; I can say the same about the bartenders...always up for a nice chat. The ambiance is very good...the only thing I personally don't like, hence the star deduction, is the atmosphere, which is a bit too loud...The highlight is the robot that brings the food to the table. My conclusion: Delicious...😋

Great restaurant – highly recommended! Not exactly cheap, but reasonable for the amount. A very large dessert – half for half price would have been enough.

Personally, I find the restaurant much too large and, when fully booked, much too loud. I could barely understand the person I was talking to. The food is good. The service is impressive. Small robot carts assist the staff by bringing drinks and food to the tables. Considering the long distances involved in this large restaurant, that's a good thing! :-)

Always a highlight! Excellent service, a lovely ambiance, and delicious food in generous portions. It's a shame my favorite dish is no longer on the menu :/ They used to have a kind of oven-baked lamb stew - it was delicious... Plus, prices have risen dramatically in recent years. Some dishes cost 50-60% more than they did just a short while ago - that's pretty steep. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends!

I wanted to treat myself to a nice steak. After three bites, I didn't want to chew on rubber anymore. The staff were completely unhelpful. A truly great location. It's also a great place to take a stroll. Everyone should form their own opinion. Let's put it this way: I can get pizza on every corner. Maybe this restaurant should focus more on that. But not on steaks that cost over 40 euros.

We had a reservation, but on a Tuesday it wasn't necessary. We had to wait a bit at the entrance before being shown to our table. The service was very friendly and attentive (and therefore businesslike 😉). Drinks were served quickly. The starters and main courses were delicious, and the portions were generous. We'd be happy to come back.

As always, great food. Large portions. Anyone who leaves there hungry has done something wrong.

For reservation and space: The restaurant has always been known for combining good quality food with a nice ambience and friendly service. Unfortunately we were disappointed this Easter Sunday. We had reserved a table in advance with twelve people. The table was in the far corner. It was so close to the back wall that those sitting in the corner couldn't get up without the others having to get up. The chairs are either too wide for one side of the table or the table is too short. It's extremely tight for three chairs on each side of the table. It has to be said that all the guests were not broad-shouldered giants, but there were, among other things, four children. About operation and service: The service was quite friendly and took the drink order quickly. These were also brought to the table very quickly. When we placed our food order, we would have liked to have been recommended the dish of the day. We only read this later on the board. After 20 minutes the food arrived at the table. After the obligatory ten minutes we were asked if everything was OK. We refrained from answering. As a result, we had to be very careful when ordering further drinks. This was partly uncomfortable because we had to make this request from the back corner of the restaurant. When some of us had already finished eating, others were still eating and finished the rolls. When we cleared up we weren't asked if we were ready. The plates were cleared away without comment while there were still guests eating on the other side of the table. There were also various empty glasses of cocktails, cola and beer on the table. By the way, the menu says 0.25 liters of water and 0.75 liters of water. When we first ordered a small water and then a large water, we received a 0.3l glass of water even though we wanted a 0.75l bottle. To eat: Some dishes were ordered by some of our group during visits in the past. An objective comparison is therefore possible. Unfortunately, twice the El Mundo grill plate was nothing. The poultry was far too dry and fried or braised for too long. The beef was very tough and took a long time to chew on. The lamb was quite neutral in taste. The side dishes and sauces were okay. The Thai beef stir-fry was bland and tasteless. The pieces of beef were well fried medium, but also very tough. The salmon fillet was also dry and steamed or fried for too long. The dishes for the children with the chicken schnitzel and the pizzas were well received. Unfortunately, that was all. The dessert plate (variations) was overloaded with sorbet and mousse. Probably a gap filler, but way too much of it. The brownie and crème brûlée were very good. The additional rolls served are very good and tasty. We then ate them with the sauces from the grill plates. In conclusion: The menu was on the table at every place. This meant we were able to choose the dishes early. The drinks menu is only available online with a QR code. I think both are okay, but a completely online version or completely as a card would have been better. We didn't understand this hybrid solution. Finally, out of five stars we have to deduct one for the narrow table and two for the mediocre food. So only two stars remain. Oh El Mundo: You used to be able to do everything much better!

A real disappointment. The food is really not good, even if there is a complaint the staff will stand in the way. True to the motto “It doesn’t taste good? Bad luck.”

We have been regular guests at El Mundo over the past few years and have always enjoyed our visits. Unfortunately, over the last 1.5 years we have noticed that the quality of both the food and the service has declined significantly. This was confirmed again during our most recent visit last week. The dishes were not convincing in any respect: the chicken in the Mendoza pan was riddled with tendons, the fries were limp and over-seasoned. The other dishes were also below average and did not correspond to what we were used to in the past. Given the prices charged at El Mundo, we as guests expect a significantly higher quality, both in terms of cuisine and service, which has also deteriorated significantly. A particularly annoying point at the end: Four out of five people in our group shared a starter, and all four had to deal with severe stomach problems that same evening. Overall very disappointing, unfortunately no longer recommended.
