I booked here for 27 people! Although many restaurants didn't want to accommodate us, we were welcomed with open arms here. I ordered the Indian butter chicken with fried potatoes: a surprising choice! Everyone else ordered schnitzel or traditional dishes. EVERYONE was thrilled!

Although it was quite cold outside around 5 pm today, the attentive service warmed us up considerably. She immediately checked if we had blankets and then even brought a (heartwarming) table lamp. We just wanted a quick currywurst and fries and a beer. Everything arrived quickly and with a friendly smile. Perfect. We'd gladly come again.

We really enjoyed it. Everyone was very friendly, and we'll definitely go back next time we're in Bremen.

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch with a large group (10 people) on the weekend. The service was excellent and made sure we were seated together. The food and drinks always arrived promptly and exactly as ordered. The value for money is excellent, the portions were filling enough to fill you up, and the beer was delicious and nice and cold. The location right on the Schlachte river is unbeatable in good weather. We'd love to go back!

I had the Bremer Knipp (a classic dish from the area) and was not disappointed. It was truly delicious and not at all dry. It came with fried potatoes. Our server was very friendly, humorous, and had good recommendations. The value for money was right.

We visited in mid-September with a group of 14 people and sat inside. Despite the venue being packed and additional guests outside, all our drinks and food arrived promptly. The service handled the rush hour, when almost everyone ordered at the same time, with confidence and friendliness. Everyone enjoyed the food, although the portion of the excellent Labskaus could have been even larger. Overall, a pleasant evening with satisfied guests. I would gladly return.

We visited Feldmann's Bierhaus with a group of 10 people. Let me put it this way: It was an average visit. From the ambiance to the food. The staff made an effort and were really friendly. The food didn't taste very good to about three-quarters of the group. It was like "mass processing." Some of the fried potatoes weren't even cooked through. Would I go back again? I think not!

For the second time, Feldmann's has simply deleted this justified review. It's simply unacceptable; anyone who delivers rubbish has to take responsibility for it. I was at Feldmann's again; I've always been very satisfied there for years, but today the meal—fried herring with fried potatoes—was a disaster. The fried potatoes were almost cold and were criticized, even by a friend. It took 10 minutes for the waiter to collect the plates. When the food came again, our friends were almost finished, and the worst part was, the fried potatoes were only lukewarm again and dripping in musty fat. My friend couldn't eat it. I was hungry; the fried herring tasted good, but the fried potatoes were really disgusting and impossible to finish. The complaints weren't taken seriously either; things really went badly wrong at Feldmann's.

We just had a drink on the terrace in the afternoon when the weather was nice. The staff didn't seem particularly motivated.

According to Google it's open until 1am, but it closes at 11pm 😢

We had a reservation through our tour operator and arrived an hour early. After an hour, high tables and stools that had already been free for an hour were pushed together. No one was responsible and no one had a plan. We were lucky that we still got a table at the Ratskeller with 11 people, and we had a lovely evening. We can recommend everyone to reserve a table at the Ratskeller right away.

Very good! I was there to watch football and luckily found a seat outside as it was very crowded. The food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere right on the Schlachte was perfect! However, it took a while for the drinks to arrive once or twice, which I can completely understand given the crowds!

Despite a reservation for 11 people, we were offered bar stools to eat at. Average age: 65. Staff: unfriendly.

On my last visit, I criticized the nervous manager. Definitely again on my second visit! And then there was the pushy waiter who pushed various drinks on us (a group of 10 men) and charged us without properly announcing it. That's not what you do! 5 stars for the food. 2 stars for the service. Sorry! Basically a good place, but please don't take advantage of the customers (even if they were a bit tipsy)!

Anyone in Bremen along the Schlachte river should definitely stop by Feldmann's (preferably in the evening and outside). It's a lovely place to people-watch and meet people. And if you're lucky enough to be served by Monika, the evening is perfect.

The only restaurant I know where, even as a guest, I'm supposed to give the attendant money. She didn't even say hello when I went to the restroom and instead continued playing with her phone. The food (matjes herring) was actually good, except for the potatoes, which weren't really cooked all the way through. The service was friendly.

Simply fantastic! The service staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is truly hearty, robust, and prepared without any fuss, yet with great taste and love. Drinks of all kinds are served quickly and reliably at your table. Some of the seating seems improvised, giving the place a very special feel. We were thrilled and very satisfied. We were so delighted that we forgot to take a photo of the food 🤣

The food and drinks were more than satisfactory. The ambiance was also great. But the best part was the ambitious young man (Werder logo on his arm, 1899 on his neck) who took our orders; I've never been served so well. We'd be happy to come back.

Good food and quick service with a friendly, helpful waitress who didn't mind speaking English to help us decide on our orders. You do have to be explicit about wanting the check when you're ready to leave -- I had forgotten about that element of German hospitality where they'll let you sit at the table and talk as long as you wish. Beware of this restaurant! If you order a drink, you'll get a half-liter for a hefty price. When paying by card, you're kindly pressured to leave a generous tip. If you use the restroom, you have to pay.

We haven't been to Feldmann's Bierhaus in a long time. We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The Schlachte was only moderately busy at the time, so we were able to pick a nice spot. Unfortunately, the chairs had no cushions, and the table was a bit high for the chairs. The staff was very friendly. After ordering, it took less than 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was good and plentiful. I had a "Hunter's Style" schnitzel. A small salad, or at least a small salad garnish, would have been nice. My wife's tarte flambée looked very good. One major shortcoming was the restrooms. In one of the women's restrooms, the toilet paper dispenser was already so empty that it was very difficult to reach the toilet paper. The restaurant opens at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays, and customers aren't always in line for the restroom. The hand dryer in the men's restroom wasn't working. On the way back from the restrooms, up the stairs, we realized that the place is showing its age. The staircase is no longer attractive.

If you're looking for a cozy and rewarding way to end the evening, this is the place to be. We spontaneously decided to stop in for an Aperol and a beer. Our boys were watching football on the big screen, while we enjoyed Aperol and Haacke beer. The service was fast, friendly, and quick (even the fact that our boys are Bayern Munich fans wasn't a problem 😉). When we're back in Bremen, we'll be back!

So, I know you can get something there. There were people eating there. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. While I was sitting inside, I was greeted at the entrance and looked at by four employees, but no one dared to ask me what I (and my companion) would like. I left after 20 minutes. About two-thirds of the tables outside were occupied, and five tables inside were occupied. It was a Saturday around 2 p.m. What a shame.

Feldmann's Bier, Embray – unfortunately a no-go (1★) I ate at Feldmann's Bier in Embray – schnitzel with baked potatoes. It looked great, tasted good. So far, so good. But then: While we were still eating, the waitress suddenly came and cleared one of the plates without comment – in the middle of our meal, without a word. Not a look, not a "Is the plate ready yet?" – just away. It felt like a silent eviction. And that's an absolute no-go for me. We're not from Bremen, but from another state – and quite honestly: We'll never eat here again. 👉 Good food isn't enough if the service makes you feel unwanted.

A restaurant on the Schlachte in Bremen, the beer garden offers a direct view of the Weser River. I visited several times during my vacation. The wait to order was occasionally a bit long, but that's understandable when the place is busy. I had the giant currywurst with fries once, the schnitzel a la Meyer with a fried egg and fried potatoes once, and the Alsatian-style tarte flambée with bacon and onions once. All the dishes were very tasty, and the beer was well-chilled and freshly tapped. I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Ordered crispy fries with Jägerschnitzel. The chef, or whoever, didn't understand something and smothered the sauce all over the fries. Great idea. The schnitzel was apparently pressed meat, so you could suck on it. Not again for a while.

My visit took place on a Wednesday afternoon. I was completely satisfied. I enjoyed the dark house beer, and the farmer's breakfast portion was delicious and generous. The service was excellent. I can recommend it.

We opted for the terrace, which had a beautiful view of the river and the pier. The young lady at the drinks counter seemed uninterested in us guests and was conducting a private phone conversation. Two Aperols were quickly handed over, along with two deposit tokens. Without comment or a word. The employer should consider whether this way of dealing with guests truly meets their expectations. In any case, we'll never be back.

A very, very nice restaurant, right on the Weser River with a great atmosphere. The service is always very friendly and attentive. The food is very tasty and plentiful. But here comes the kicker. The price increase is exorbitantly high. I have, and we're always talking about, the exact same dish. In August 2022, €21.90 In July 2023, €23.90 On August 31, 2024, I paid €28.60. That's an increase of just over 30% in two years. It was delicious, even if the salt shaker was missing, but I won't be coming back. For me, it was a must-visit based on an insider tip, but I'm no longer willing to pay these price increases. Sorry.

We went there as a couple for dinner. For dinner, we had currywurst with fries and a tarte flambée. The food was great; the fries were perfectly crispy, and the currywurst was delicious. Overall, I find it too expensive here (unlike before). But: it's Schlachte, and therefore a tourist magnet. I'm very disappointed. I used to love this restaurant. I don't know what the food is like now, as unfortunately, reservations are often a problem. You can't reach anyone by phone, no one answers by email (no response for over a month), and the online tool allows you to reserve for up to 10 people. After going there twice and being assured the first time that someone would answer my email, my reservation was finally accepted. On the day of the reservation, we were told there was a double booking and that we could sit at the high tables for another hour (with 17 people) and then go to our table. We declined and went to another restaurant.

Wir wollten gerne einen schönen JGA mit 22 Männern dort ausklingen lassen. Zur Reservierung ist nie einer ans Telefon gegangen oder hat auf 1 Monat alte Anfragen per Email geantwortet. Einfach nur sehr unglücklich und schlecht. Der Laden hat anscheinend genügend Geld um keinen ans Telefon zu setzen oder Emails zu beantworten. Ich werde da nicht mehr dran denken, wenn ich dort essen will und werde den Laden auch nicht weiter empfehlen!

Die online-Reservierungsanfrage war einfach und nach 2 Tagen gab es eine positive Antwort. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und der Standort "Schlachte" direkt am Wasser einfach toll. Das Essen war gut und ausreichend. Wir würden dort wieder einkehren.

Har besøgt byen flere gange og haft gode oplevelser. Dette var dog det ringeste jeg har oplevet i lang tid.. Vi var to der besøgte stedet. Fristet af deres menukort med årstidens asparges. Vi bestilte mad og drikkevarer. En fadølspilsner kunne højst blive 40 cl hvorimod hvedeøl kunne fås som 50 cl. Bestilte samtidigt wienerschnitzel med asparges. Maden blev efter nogen ventetid sat af på bordet (læs smidt af) og væk var tjeneren. Der sad vi med maden og manglede servietter, bestik samt salt og pepper. Efter lidt venten måtte jeg selv gå ind i restauranten for at hente det vi manglede. Chefen så forundret ud da jeg spurgte efter det, og lignede en det ikke vidste hvad han skulle gøre ved det Heldigvis var servitricen hurtig og gav mig det vi manglede. Maden. En sørgeligt kapitel for sig jeg modtog en wienerschnitzel med mindre en 100 gram. Panneret efter forskriften. Dertil overkogte kartofler der var ved at gå fra hinanden og nærmest smeltede på gaflen. De nye asparges var udkogte. Havde fået alt for meget. Til hollandaise sovsen. Den var iskold. Kort sagt en kedelig omgang fra start til slut. Personalet . På ingen måde uddannet indenfor faget.

I have visited Bremen many times over the years. The experiences I have had have generally been good unlike today's experience. We came to Feldmans and were tempted to taste their fresh asparagus and wiener schnitzel. This accompanied by potatoes and hollandaise sauce. We ordered beer with the meal. I asked for a large lager. Was quickly informed that the Max could be 40 cl. My partner, on the other hand, could have a 50 cl weisbirre. The beer arrived relatively quickly on the table. After some waiting, two plates of food were thrown on the table and the young man evaporated just as quickly as he had come to find out if everything was as it should be and it was not ok. We had neither cutlery, napkins nor salt and pepper. After a bit of a wait, I chose to go in to ask for the ones we were missing. The boss looked wide-eyed. But a waitress had understood what it was all about and immediately gave me two sets of cutlery. Back at the table I inspected the food available. A piece of wiener schnitzel. Just barely 100 grams of meat. Panned According to the rules of art. The potatoes were clearly overcooked and visibly falling apart. They should not be chewed. They melted by themselves on the fork. The nice asparagus. Cooked. And probably more than what is good for them. Finally, the sauce. Disgustingly cold. It could have been entitled to 5 stars but instead became something closer to 1. The operation. As I see it, none of those visibly present were professionals. They were absent and inattentive. Didn't follow up on the serving and didn't even see that the food that came to the table wasn't good enough. To forget the very basics is, in my eyes, a fad.

It's cozy and the service was quick and friendly - that's fine. BUT: If you broadcast the women's DFB Cup outside, please do so with sound that can also be heard. Guests have come to you four times (!) and specifically asked to turn on the sound and/or turn it up. Turn the sound on, then turn it off again, then turn it on, etc. So it seems like you're only showing the game half-heartedly, without any real interest. Without sound it was just annoying and completely pointless. Then please leave the screen off completely – that would be more consistent and more pleasant for everyone.
