Two years ago, trying to find a place where to watch a football match (Spanish Second division!), I discovered this bar…. They screened it with a big smile. Their warm welcome & professionalism was not only outstanding for being Munich (😓) but for being anywhere worldwide! Have been going since in a regular basis, became regular and never heard bad words or misbehavior from anyone -Even towards some drunk troubling people-. Amazing atmosphere, music & all sports globally are available, best drinks & good food. Many thanks to Mark (So great manager he went to Scholars Rome), Marc, Michelle, Mulham, Dax, Virag, Costa, Sofia, Dylan, Eon, Unquenchable Graham… and many more!!! See you guys soon! All the best!

Great little spot to settle down with a good book and enjoy a beer. The bar staff are all friendly and the food was decent value. The atmosphere was pretty nice and things got more lively when the Monday night karaoke started.

We came in for one or two drinks and had 5/6 more haha, beautiful pub good drinks and nice atmosphere staff were friendly and chatty. Definitely give it a visit if your in the area.

Just dropped in for a few drinks, staff were very professional and extremely helpful. We had queries about getting around Munich and they couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely atmosphere, good place to watch sports, nice and clean. Would highly recommend.

Overpriced, the food looks very bad and TV doesn't always work

A nice pub, unfortunately the cocktails were occasionally small and the price was high, but they tasted good.

Great Irish pub with superb service

The food is about as bad as English Football...really...The chips and burger just escaped the freezer and taste soggy and old..."Metro grüßt", as the Germans would say

It is unfortunate that the site's gatekeepers continue to promote racism and exclusion. It's a shame that they denied us entry due to our nationality. A site that is not recommended due to the xenophobia and racism of its security guards.

Super slow service on the bottom floor. Prices are much higher than usual in the area. One normal beer between 6 to 8€ (when normally is between 4-5€)

Never ever!!!! If you don't look fair to the bouncer, you won't get in at all. I'm used to a lot more from the Irish people!!! But these “doorkeepers” see you and immediately judge you based on your appearance! Just bad treatment! :( vs. The rock bar welcomes everyone!!! Better alternative to partying!

Great place, food good, beer amazing, atmosphere amazing and the door security is fair and helpful. They deserve a raise! Be aware that the Aperol Spritz with 14€~ is for some unknown reason way to expensive

The food is rather below average. The prices are exorbitant. The staff was very very unfriendly. The manager seems visibly overwhelmed and not the most intelligent person. Seems very stupid and insults people. If you're looking for a high-class restaurant, it's best to avoid this one.

absolute mess off a place as we were told by the manager it's not an irish pub it's an international pub for the British..the guy with tattoo's on his chest from limerick needs retrained or sacked preferably.

Stumbled upon this pub while on holiday in Munich. Immediately became my favorite and was back every night while we were there. They stole my heart with the karaoke on Mondays!

7€ a Guinness is a lot, the snacks were delicious. Unfortunately it was hot enough to sweat down there. Cell phone reception is also difficult... But the heat is worse 🥲

Atmosphere and music quite good. Prices are not okay, Guinness for just under €8 is crazy. Service unfortunately bad. I had a non-carbonated cola, complained about it and was not believed until another guest came. Then a new bottle was ostentatiously opened close to my ear and foamed onto my shirt. Absolute disgrace from the bartender. My friend ordered a beer at the bar and had to climb the steps because of the noise. The bartender then snapped at her and said he would call security if she didn't go back immediately. For your information, she is a good 1.50 tall and weighs 45kg... not recommended!

Cool atmosphere, really expensive unfortunately (€7 per beer)

Well, a perfect place to be cool and enjoy good music and a good atmosphere. The staff is extra super and I like it. Maybe the prices of drinks are a little too high, but....it is your choice.

Do NOT go here for food unless you enjoy microwaved dishes, absolute rubbish. Staff was pretty slow and uattentive even when it wasn't crowded yet. atmosphere is overall good

A real Irish pub not a great atmosphere

For an Irish pub in the basement, coolly decorated. Friendly service. Prices for cocktails are unfortunately common in Munich. Clear recommendation.

Be careful, if you pay by card, the tip will automatically be added to the 6.50 euro beer! Depending on whether you pay at the bar or the waiter 1-2 euros. Unfortunately, that left a bad aftertaste. Otherwise the atmosphere is very cozy.

Cool place for a drink and talk. The food tho was very disappointing… we ordered fries with cheese and nachos and was very sad food. But again, totally recommend for having a beer and drinks… a little bit calmer than the other pubs in downtown Munich.

Kicked out by security without having any problems.

9€ for a shot of normal Smirnoff is cheeky even for Munich. Service hardly speaks German and sometimes poor English. Immediately after ordering the drink, the bill is slapped down so that you can pay as quickly as possible, which seems extremely strange in a restaurant that obviously wants to sell itself as upscale.

My husband and I visited the place 3 times. Amazing bartender first night there, an (Italian?) bartender with a cool moustache:) he really knows what he does. We fell in love with his way of work. The third night ...horrible experience. The ginger haired male bartender is completely unprofessional and rude. We ordered expensive whiskey as usual (by the third night we have spent at this place 250+ euro), paid immediately and just wanted to come out for 20 min to get some food as this place doesn't serve any food. We asked a girl who worked the bar to keep our drinks and said that we will come back. The moment we started walking out of the pub, the ginger haired male bartender chased us and accused us of not paying in a very rude way. We didn't even take a sip of our drinks and just threw away 50 euro down the drain. The joke? We had paid him personally for the drinks before and he forgot. No apology or anything. The pub could be much better if this man was fired. Till then..we recommend avoiding the place and rather go to Lux bar;)

Great option to go even on weekdays, since it opens every day. Good place to listen to good music and have a drink with your people or watch sports. Special mention for the two goalkeepers. Great people and professionals

Unfair prices, unintentional touched by the manager, bartender really unambitious

The pub in the former Americanos looks really cozy and authentic, but I found the prices a little too high for the fact that you aren't even served at your seat. Otherwise it's rather atypical when it comes to music after midnight, I've never heard such different music in a pub, it's more like party music & it's not necessarily songs that you can sing along to like in other pubs ;)

Good place to have a quiet drink and chat. The drinks are reasonably priced and the waiters are very polite. The goalkeeper is a great guy. I recommend this site without a doubt

We ordered drinks that didn't smell like alcohol at all, so we asked a waiter for a shot of vodka for one drink. Afterwards the store manager was sent straight away, who doesn't even speak German. We were advised that there was enough alcohol in the drink. The waiters didn't want to try through a new straw, even though the drink wasn't even taken a sip. Unfortunately the staff were not at all lenient and turned us out of the pub. Therefore unfortunately not recommended to anyone!

Very authentic Irish pub in the center of Munich. We didn't know it before (although we go to pubs a lot), but it's definitely one of the top pubs in Munich. The atmosphere and ambience is amazing and it's everything you would expect from an Irish pub. We'll definitely be back!

All I can say is that the owner must be proud of this gem. He has a true Irish pub - Scholars pub is cozy & warm. It is well decorated with Ireland's greatest poets, novelists & minds. It has amazing & hardworking staff, fantastic manager Mark, great TV (pulls up sports from all world including US football) and speedy internet. Irish hospitality lives strong here and, with its multicultural patrons, a true gem in a beautiful city.

Tolles Pub, leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente. Leider muss man nach jeder Bestellung sofort bezahlen, was einem nach einigen Guiness, Whisky Sour und Speisen in einer größten Runde unglaublich nervt. Leider nur deshalb werden wir nicht wieder kommen. Gebt bekannt, wenn ihr euer Bezahlkonzept ändert, dann sind wir wieder dabei.

Looking for an authentic Irish pub experience in Munich? Look no further. The barmen are from Ireland and give you the feel that you're in a pub in Dublin or the Irish countryside. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Don't pass up the chance to take in a little of Ireland while in Germany.

Service unfreundlich und unaufmerksam, in unserer Sitzecke mussten sich fast alle ihr Bier an der Bar holen, sonst wäre man verdurstet. Essen aus der Lidl Kühltruhe und Bezahlung bevor überhaupt irgendwas am Tisch ankommt?! Ganz klassischer Schuppen, der nur durch Touris überlebt, sucht euch lieber andere Irish Pubs mit Qualität! Fußball schauen kann man jedoch ganz gut dort, ausreichend Fernseher vorhanden.

Lovely, cosy irish pub in the heart of Munich. Great place if you want to enjoy your beer with your friends or even your date. On weekends it’s usually crowded but you might be lucky and find a table, I’d definitely recommend you to give it a go!

The place was very welcoming and the service was great especially the cocktails. Late night karaoke was amazing even though we didn’t participate. Can’t wait to try the food next time!

Nice pub, personally not a fan of basement bars but it was very cosy or what the dutch call gezellig. Friendly staff. Only drank a few beers cant tell about the food but guiness and kilkenny ale were fine Came for game NL FR but left after 15 minutes but that had nothing to do with the place.

Very nice pub to watch football

The location and the interior is great and since it’s a bit hidden you don’t have your usual tourist around. The service is nice and attentive. The beer is cool and great, but for me to give five stars you need to use either fresh potatoes or a different brand of frozen fries and fresh minced meat to make your burger patties instead of frozen ones. In general, use less convenience in the kitchen, your guests will appreciate it!
