Oktoberfest was a blast and it all started at Killians Irish Pub the day we landed.

Great pub...warm and cosy. Great local beer on tap.

Best Kareoke in town... its also Australian Pub!

If the weather is nice, the terrace is a good option, but the atmosphere inside is even better! All the waitresses are very friendly.

Service was great, food (initially) was excellent. 15 minutes after we received our food and beverages we saw a mouse. Turned us off. We couldn’t finish anything after. Understand this is in the basement, mice exist, but it doesn’t stop it from being gross. Apparently pest control has been called. Still unacceptable in my opinion.

Very busy, noisy bar. Very quietly spoken guy behind the bar. Had to ask him to speak up twice, much to his annoyance. But overall a great little bar.

Very cool restaurant near Marienplatz but not as crowded as the restaurants there. Downstairs they have a different pub where you can watch sports. I had the Fish and Chips with white wine and enjoyed it.

I don't often write reviews, but after our experience at Kilians I feel it is my duty to warn others. We visited Kilians, which markets itself as a football pub, to watch the important international match (World Cup qualifier) ​​between Germany and Northern Ireland on September 7, 2025. We arrived at the venue about 15 minutes before kick-off. Before we went in we had a chat with the doorman to make sure that the venue would really be showing the match, to which he replied in the affirmative. When we entered the venue we were greeted by a female waitress who showed us which screen the match would be shown on. We found a nice seat and ordered both food and drinks. At this point there were about 5 minutes until kick-off. Just as the match was about to start, the screen suddenly turned off. When the woman came a few minutes later and served us our food, we therefore asked (for the third time) whether the match would actually be shown. She reassured us that everything was fine and that the match would immediately appear on the designated screen. About 10 minutes after kick-off, the screen was still black. We confronted her again and were told that the match, due to a karaoke event in the same venue, unfortunately had to be moved to another screen. This eventually turned out to be an ancient and microscopic 20" screen hanging over the front door. As if this wasn't enough, about half of the screen was covered by a large black HDMI error message box that the staff had a complete loss of control over. In front of this screen it was extremely cramped and there were no free seats. We (and about 20 other football fans, including a bunch of Northern Irish people with flags and supporter gear), ended up having to bring our own food and drinks and eat them standing up, amidst the stream of people going in and out. The venue also had two other, larger screens available, but these were clearly reserved for tennis, which none of the guests seemed particularly interested in. About 30 minutes into the game, people started to give up and we left the place in the hope of finding a proper sports bar to watch the second half there. Luckily, we quickly found the competitor Irish Pub Dubliner, which is located nearby and knows how to treat its guests. In my entire In 48 years of bar-going and football fandom, Kilian's has to be the worst and most unserious place I've ever been to. Arrogant staff and extremely high prices for food and drinks are something you come across from time to time, but when we spotted a bright live rat darting across the floor on our way out, we had to pinch ourselves to make sure we weren't hallucinating.

We had a very good dinner, attentive service, and it was crowded and noisy, for my taste. But it was an Irish pub in the center of Munich.

Service at the tables is sometimes quite slow. I'll go get my beer at the bar. Be sure to check out the events - website...

The staff is indifferent, there seems to be no alcohol in the cocktails

I was there to watch a basketball game. Before the game even started, a mouse crawled through the ceiling. We were startled and stood up. When I asked the staff about it, the waitress simply told me to sit down because I was blocking everyone else's view—even though the game hadn't even started yet. When I explained that it was because of the mouse, all I got was "how unfortunate" as a response. Such rude and disrespectful behavior! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone who wouldn't want to sit next to a mouse.

Unfortunately, the bar staff are very unfriendly. We saw someone get kicked out today for simply going out to smoke. The waiter was really rude.

The smell in the restroom has improved considerably, even though the toilet paper and other things are still lying around. And apparently, there's new staff who haven't been trained how to pour Augustiner into a glass. The Augustiner sits half-full in the glass for minutes to reduce the foam, and then it's poured together to make a half-liter. That's called beer torture. The new staff definitely needs to be trained to pour half a liter of beer in one go.

i got seated thinking it was the typical german restaurant, but it was a really good mistake! the food was delicious, the service was exceptional and a reasonable price considering the portion and where it is located :)

Visited on Friday 22nd and Sunday 24th August 2025. Doorman almost didn't let us in on the Friday saying we had too much beer (maybe the football shirts on matchday) but saw the error of his ways and let us enter. Had drinks and food. Augustiner Helles mainly, which is a great beer and a good selection of food. Burgers, pizza and chicken wings. All top notch. Great service too. The Sunday night were football beers, food and Karaoke. Chicken wings and fish & chips. First class. Great atmosphere and some excellent on-stage performances...including from ourselves. You must visit Killians Irish Pub* My third time this year and I will be back again. *may have had one too many but it seems there is an Australian pub within, which I can't work out 🤣😎

Always super crowded and, unfortunately, always a lot of drunk people. Often good bands and a great atmosphere.

Cool spot but quite a touristic trap. Staff are very unfriendly to the limit of being rude especially the lady wearing glasses. 15€ for a pizza mostly straight from the supermarket. Best to avoid!

Great late night spot with friends. Night time outdoor seating. The Fish and Chips were off the hook!

Everything that you would hope for in an Irish Pub. Good food, great service. The courtyard is nice and cozy. The front outside patio is bigger and louder. I had the fish and chips. Very good. No dogs in courtyard! Which is nice. But did have some smokers next to me. Oh well.

If you're in Munich, I highly recommend Kilians Irish Pub. Steven and Andy were very friendly, attentive, and always on the ball; we never had to wait long for our order—simply 👍

Outside, it's okay. Down in the basement, okay. Loud at the front and cramped at the back. But... even at the back and around the corner, you're served with the usual Irish charm. The chicken wings were really good. It's definitely nicer outside. The toilet is terrible. The customers are responsible for that.

Visited for the first time to watch the South Africa-Australia rugby game, and to try some of the bangers and mash (something rather difficult to find here). Loved the space, the service, and the food. The game result ... not so much 😁, but Kilians is not responsible for that. Great spot to watch sports and have a bite.

The dishes are average in taste, not bad but not perfect either.

Tucked away in a shady, popular spot, this is a great place to have a beer and a snack. Friendly, attentive staff and a healthy portion of potato wedges. Would recommend.

Security at the entrance leaves much to be desired

We've been there twice, and it's simply fantastic. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and fantastic food. The prices are reasonable compared to the surrounding area. The important thing is that you get decent value for your money. As soon as we're back in Munich, we'll be happy to come back.

The bouncers were very unfriendly; I couldn't get into the club just because of a stain on my pants...that's a joke.

Stopped in late on a Monday evening for drinks. The place was quite busy but managed to grab a couple seats at the bar. Got Jaeger bombs which we immediately shot.. asked the bartended for a beer and he said he had 4 people waiting and held up his payment device, refusing to get the beer. That's a first for me. We left and went to another bar nearby.

An authentic pub where you can literally breathe Erin. The atmosphere, the images, the cultural references, and the warm dim light create a unique atmosphere. A wide selection of beers—Irish and local—and an extensive menu of classic pub dishes. Attentive and professional staff and moderate prices. We'll be back 😉

Down the stairs and straight ahead of you is the bar, they do table service which is wonderful for people since you don't have to get out of your seat, and they keep checking back to see if you're ready to order drink/food yet. Food was delicious i had the chicken lovers basket and it was wonderful, Guinness acquired here as it is and irish bar. If you're looking for an irish bar in Munich then i recommend this one!

Bar and staff itself is great. As for karaoke... you're just standing on stage and choosing a backing track for everyone to sing along to because they turn your mic down so low. The MC acts like he just wants to leave. I'm a karaoke fanatic so I didn't appreciate that.

The short-haired waitress is truly awful—unfriendly, arrogant (unfortunately, you're just a waitress, not a DAX board member), and incompetent. I think she'd be better off as a toilet attendant. Otherwise, the place is quite funny.

Visited as an Australian. We went to the Ned Kelly bar, the lady serving the zero people told us unless we had a booking for an hour and a half later we should go. We went to the Irish side. Tried to make eye contact with the four people behind the bar who chose to ignore us for a while before we finally got served. We spoke with a nice Irish guy who actually smiled and spoke to us. We pointed out and told him they had a very offensive photo up of indigenous Australian's on the corridor door. Two nights later, we returned, photo is still up. I had to speak loudly for one of the four bartender's avoiding doing any work to serve us. Then she only smiled at us when we paid a tip.

I'm not surprised it's 4.3. Because their security is taking out someone who leaves over 10 euros in tips every time. No tips today and no one comes in, or what? It's a shame for the bar that does things like that! Haha

Beer was nice but they didn't have the inside area open at lunchtime, leaving you open to the variable weather outside, so only stayed for one drink, without eating. The person serving me was fine.

I just wanted to briefly point out the unfriendliness of the blonde waitress at the karaoke bar yesterday. We were having a lovely evening there as a group, and as can happen, a glass broke. I brought it up to the bar specifically and just wanted to point it out to the waitress so she'd be aware and wouldn't just touch the glass out of routine. However, she just yelled at me that she had other things to do. This unfriendliness is unfortunately completely unacceptable. Next time, it's better not to mention anything at all, and if you end up picking up the broken glass, it's your own fault. Of course, I understand that you sometimes have bad experiences with unfriendly guests, but in cases like this, I find it truly rude. I will avoid this waitress in the future.

We had lunch here while we were in Munich for a couple of days. We enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner in the evening. Very good quality food. The waitressses are very friendly and it's generally just a nice pub

A very cool place with very friendly and helpful staff found in there. The type of food found in there is extremely delicious. One can choose from different varieties and delicious menus prepared by the skillful chefs which one can find totally satisfying. The service is great with hosts who are welcoming and helpful which is perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful complimented by the quality of the interior part of the rooms, the furniture, the arrangement and the decorations all make the place magical. Good classic Irish pub and sports bar. Great food and decent prices. Always a game on and music isnt too loud so you can actually hold a conversation. One part is Irish the other Australian, but similar vibe and very friendly staff.

We went to this pub for the first time and we really enjoyed it. We couldn't hear the live band because our table was further back. For those who make a reservation and want to listen to live music, I recommend a table further forward. Otherwise, everything was great 😊

Great to get a pint of cider on a very hot day

We were 6 people and requested to only have a beer in groups of 4 ?!? Reasoning was not explained and waitress went away before we could order (in groups of 4). Too arrogant to ever come back again.
