Irish Pub Dubliner in München

This is the cheapest gin I've seen here. €14.50 per glass. When I asked if they also served it in a glass (which would be appropriate for the price), the bartender stated that this was the only way they offered it, as it was the equivalent of a proper glass. The beer was served in a hot glass with no head whatsoever. Furthermore, it was warm from the glass and tasted stale. Absolutely not recommended! This place is just an Irish pub on the sign!

My friends and I walked into this pub full of anticipation, expecting good music and a great atmosphere. But then things took a turn for the worse… The waiters ignored us. There were nine of us – a potential big win – yet we were only allowed to order something every hour or so. To make matters worse, the music got progressively worse as the evening went on, bordering on awful. Despite our requests, the staff seemed more interested in the bad atmosphere than in listening to our requests. This experience, especially at these prices, is unacceptable, and I unfortunately cannot recommend this pub.

The music is often very bad. Occasionally, good songs are played, but this is rare, and when a really good song does come on, it's usually skipped by the "DJ." The waiters seem unmotivated and aren't very polite. I didn't try the food, but given the rest of the experience, I can't imagine it being any good. I definitely wouldn't come back here and wouldn't recommend it.

I received good service, I just found it a bit more expensive than other nearby bars.

We reserved a table for 8 pm by phone. When we arrived, the waiter told us they didn't accept reservations (although this had been confirmed to us over the phone). Because the restaurant was full, we unfortunately had to leave immediately. What a shame!

My favorite bar in Munich. Harry was so helpful and friendly, we will definitely come back.

You simply can’t afford not to. He is the backbone, the heart of this establishment. Buy him a puppy, a new Mercedes, and 18 cans of Oscietra caviar at once! A really cool Irish pub with a bar and plenty of seating. They almost always show football, so it's a great place to spend a Friday night watching football. The location at Platzl is also very nice and quiet.

A very nice bar with a great atmosphere, but I found the prices a bit excessive (€6.50 for a Coca-Cola).

The tables are sticky, the beer is ridiculously overpriced, the place is pretty ugly…if you don't care about that, you'll find a good opportunity here to get properly wasted until late at night…☘️

The beer was significantly overpriced and also flat. The atmosphere and service were okay, but overall the price-performance ratio was not right.

The place is run-down and dingy; the toilets are in the basement and not clean either. When we were there, they were showing Champions League football, and afterwards the pub turned into an 80s disco with bass so loud it felt like your eardrums would burst. That has nothing to do with a pub. And then it's overpriced (€6.50 for a wheat beer, sometimes over €14 for cocktails). Never again.

This is a good pub but it is quite expensive. The atmosphere is good. The Guiness I had was not the best but still good.

Great service. Great beer. When Hofbräuhaus München refuses to serve anything else beyond half a stein despite being 45 minutes prior to closing. Cross the street to this place for even better beer of Ayinger. I ordered one stein and a half. Left a happy customer. Thank you.

Rowdy atmosphere and super fun to find they were playing American Football on all TVs upstairs! Service was slightly slow and not super friendly, but they were very busy when we were there, so could have been that. The food left much to be desired. We got the fried sampler basket, and I truly thought you couldn't screw up fried food, but they figured it out. Some of the items seemed undercooked and it was all soggy. But! Great place to watch sports and grab a beer, maybe just eat dinner somewhere else.

Since the pub is so centrally located, it's obvious you can get away with just about anything. Incompetent, unfriendly service, completely overwhelmed, and completely outrageous prices, for example, a Strongbow cider costs €7.80 and a shot (!!!) of Irish Flag costs €8.50! I hope I never have to go there again!

Went here the night before opening ceremony, great atmosphere right across from the world famous HB. This place was lively the food was good, worth a shot if HB is busy.

One of the best espresso martinis I've ever had, delicious lillet berry too 😋 also one of the only bars open til 4 am in the area! The patio is lovely.

I would have preferred to give it zero stars. They serve a Hendrick's Hin Tonic with lemon for 17.50. Upon request, they throw a slice of cucumber onto your table. Weak...

The drinks where ok, standard beer and wine offerings. The service from the staff was good at first, but when I paid the bill and left a small tip the staff where rude and almost turned their backs and wanted us out

The pub's service isn't pleasant: the waiter adds tips to the bill almost without asking the customers. The drinks are very overpriced, but they taste good. The location is also perfect in the center of town.

The server was a bit nice, but he overdid the tips and didn't give me much choice. They didn't explain things well and charged me extra, so they weren't very polite. Be careful there!!!!!

I visited this place recently and was quite disappointed to see a sign outside using sexualized language as a form of marketing. It jokingly promised “topless bartenders” and “free beer”. I understand the attempt at humor, but I found it inappropriate and outdated. Using suggestive references like that in 2025 feels tone deaf and disrespectful. I believe businesses can attract customers without relying on this kind of messaging. It made me uncomfortable, and for that reason, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Me and my friend were in the Center looking for a bar after a few disappointing places we had a very pleasant experience at the Irish Pub, Vishant and Laura were great thank you.

Absolute rip-off. Never again, they ruined my entire day in Munich. Worst service I've ever had to endure.

Beer was fine. Upstairs area wasn't open at lunchtime. Didn't try the food but menu seemed ok. Nice decor but seemed a bit on the small side in my opinion. Staff ok.

Top bar!!! All the staff are truly amazing. Every request is catered to. The boss is truly amazing. If you stay even a little while (30 minutes), you'll get maximum promotion for yourself! I arrived after 2:00 a.m. and was greeted and served in an extremely friendly manner! I can only recommend this place!

I truly believe that the testament to good service is not when things go perfectly but when they don’t. We had a late dinner at Dubliner last night and chose outdoor seating. First they offered blankets because it was beginning to get chilly and then the torrential rain began. They ushered each table inside one by one making sure to keep us all dry in the process. Once inside our service was great and the food was perfect.

Wouldn’t call it an Irish pub. Only think Irish is the name. Beer on tap sucks.

The only typical Irish pub feeling was the restrooms. There was only one cider selection, and then there was an English cider. Not typically Irish.

If I could give 0 stars then I would. The manager changed the channel on the TV and then decided we were too drunk to be served anymore. I am typing this as I sit in my supposed drunk state after my first drink. Interesting experience, would not recommend if you'd like to be treated with some respect.

Centrally located. Asked for a tip before serving the beer which was weird. Guinness is terrible, the head nearly blew away in the breeze from the air con. They also serve Kilkenny with no head, which is a first. Music loud but decent enough

To be honest, we misbehaved a bit – but we weren't thrown out and the service was still friendly. The prices are a bit steeper than elsewhere, but given the location, it's really no big deal. We'd definitely come back – for a beer or two. Unfortunately, I can't say much more… I've forgotten a few things. Oh well.

We were there to watch football: there are various rooms with televisions. Some of the televisions had a 10 second delay, our television constantly lost its internet connection...we left the restaurant while the first half was in progress because it was unbearable. Plus a ham pizza for €16, which I thought was a frozen pizza. Once and never again!

Had an amazing time at this authentic Irish pub! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the staff incredibly friendly, and they serve fantastic drinks—including perfectly poured Guinness. A true piece of Ireland right in Munich. Absolutely recommended for a relaxing evening or a fun night out with friends!

It is said that there's an Irish pub in every country, and it seems I've found the worst one. The service started out friendly enough, but after the drinks were delivered, he disappeared and no one else was willing to help. I had to find a passing waiter, and almost had to roofie him into taking our order. At this point, the original waiter appeared again, telling me he's been eating. You know what, buddy? So am I! But the food, ja? Made it all worthwhile? Alas, f- no. The chicken "special" looked and tasted like the poor chicken was tortured by whipping before slaughter. The sauce was an unholy combination of bitter cola and liquified baby scat. My son's Dublin Burger was only shaped like one and may have been from Dublin … Afghanistan. A waste of time, money, and good taste. About this place like the plague.

Supposedly, Irish sports bar, and they don't even show the rugby. They tried with their sketchy IPTV. It didn't work. We saw that the upstairs area was reserved for 12ppl to watch the later rugby match. They will be disappointed.

On the game Bayern Munich - Celtic Glasgow beer Price: Ayinger 6€ the Guiness 7€ both in Platic Cups. At the Bayern game against Celtic Glasgow, the Ayiner for €6 and the Guinness for €7, both in a plastic cup, the price is a disgrace.

Nice restaurant with friendly service but the main course came directly after the soup without a short break. A little more time between courses would be nice. As a starter there was a tomato soup and as the main course a Ihris stew with basmatireus which tasted a bit too much like Guinness but was otherwise good.

Great bar! Arguably one of (if not the) best Irish pub in Munich. It's a great spot to catch football events. We come back very often to watch Champions League and Bundesliga matches for example.

I’ve been a regular at the pub as I love that they show all kinds of sports, that otherwise hard to find elsewhere. But it became even more special after I celebrated my birthday there last night. Location could not get any better, and everyone really makes sure guests have an amazing time.

Last night, we left after the boss, I suppose, yelled at an employee. He tried to handle the situation in a completely unprofessional manner. Even other employees were shocked. But they tried to handle the situation. While I was expecting to enjoy myself at the place I went, it wasn't good to see an inappropriate argument.

Beer is good, but that's it. Ambience very uncomfortable, prices absurdly expensive (ready-made burgers from €17, simple mozz sticks from the oven €12.50 are the extreme examples). So didn't try the food. Service also bad and doesn't speak German.
