Fantastic view from the castle terrace. Staff, service and food fine dining. Already eaten there twice and each time it was a high standard. The lady of the castle welcomes the guests personally. Always my pleasure. It's great that such a restaurant still exists in these times.

The rooms are very spacious, the service is good and the hotel is idyllically located in a beautiful traditional village.

It was one of the most beautiful vacation days we were able to spend here in a long time. I can only recommend this hotel with all its service and hospitality.

A stay of superlatives! The fascination of the place significantly influenced our hours in the castle hotel. Spending the night on historic terrain with a view of Gothic towers and walls and the breathtaking panorama of the Elbe is in itself a great privilege. If you add to that the highly professional, friendly service in both the hotel and the restaurant as well as in the wellness area and you take into account the spacious, comfortable rooms, then you would like to give it 7 out of 5 stars. Particularly noteworthy is the layout of the entire hotel wing including the outbuildings. Immaculately restored, they fit perfectly into the medieval brick walls and form an extraordinary ensemble. A fairytale world!

A hotel that manages to stand out from the norm in a very positive way.

We were able to spend a wonderful weekend stay here with the family. This facility is run by the owner with a lot of passion, you can see that in all areas - starting with the very nice parking lot attendant :-) The breakfast was terrific, lots of vegetarian and even vegan choices, a lot of it was homemade - really great! There are even places with a view of the water. The dinner was consistently delicious. We particularly liked the red cabbage soup and the nutrient stick parfait. Small point of criticism: We had booked a 4-course menu which was a little too generous in terms of portions for all of us. The rooms in the main building were very cozy and two lovely cats greeted us on the way there. The only thing that needed to be replaced was the mattresses, they felt sagging. We really liked the wellness area, small but impressive, only the toilets were a bit lacking (even if it's probably not possible otherwise in terms of building technology). The massage was nice, only the room could have been warmer and the lounger was unfortunately not heated (heated blanket desirable in the winter months). The next vacation is already booked, we are looking forward to being here again soon and maybe some of our criticism will be taken into account :-)

Very nice hotel with outside facilities, well divided, with a small garden at the back, outside areas are well marked.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Everything was slowed down and calm. The wellness area and the staff radiated a lot of calm and the massages 💆were very relaxing. The breakfast was very rich and tasty 😋 the dinner was also a very good selection. And for smokers there were ashtrays on every corner, which were regularly taught. The man did not feel discriminated against because he smoked, even though smoking was prohibited on the premises. You could even take a break while eating. There was a "stop" for kissing at the entrance. Which now puts a smile 😏 on my face. We weren't the only ones. We will go there again.

We went on a short trip from November 15th to 17th. visiting one of the outbuildings. Great room! We felt comfortable from the start. From the staff at reception to the service, especially our waiter David. Dinner and breakfast great. On November 16th We attended the “Breast or Keule” event with Feuerzangenbowle. The hotel is in the middle of a beautiful park. It is centrally located so that the old town and the banks of the Elbe are easily accessible. The rooms, like everything in the hotel, are very tastefully furnished with attention to detail. The wellness area is well tempered and invites you to linger. The staff in all areas of the hotel are very helpful, friendly and you feel very welcome. The food in the restaurant is excellent both visually and in terms of taste. A visit to this hotel is worth every euro.

We celebrated a big birthday in the old office. It was a perfect evening both in terms of the quality of the food and the service. The location of the castle hotel is an absolute highlight directly on the Elbe. The breakfast is very good and the staff is absolutely friendly. The wellness offer with pool and sauna is also very nice. There's really nothing to complain about, a great hotel. Highly recommended.

Great location, unfortunately there was a smell in the rooms that was a combination of stale, slightly musty and mothballs. Location just great. Service very nice, food ok.

The restaurant was beautiful. The food was very tasty 😋 and the service was very friendly. You can also eat here very well with small children. Everything is available: children's chair, something to paint, cutlery and plates suitable for small children 🍽. The view from the restaurant is also very nice and you can look over the Elbe.

We had dinner on the terrace during a stay in Tangermünde. The ambience is irreparably beautiful. The staff and the food are simply great.

The Schloss-Hotel Tangermünde has style and is very lovingly furnished. The castle has been completely restored and very well maintained. It partly looks like a high-quality film set for an aristocratic court society. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is very rich and leaves nothing to be desired. The car parking spaces are subject to charges. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

We booked a pampering day at the thermal baths and were greeted and instructed in a very friendly manner. Everything is very modern, cozy and very clean. The treatments (massages, peeling, packs and cosmetics) from Olga and Anastasia were extremely pleasant and soothing. We had very nice, relaxing hours in the thermal baths and would love to come back. Please keep it up, it was just great, thank you again to the wellness team and kind regards from Mandy & Claudia

I have been a regular guest at the castle hotel for around 15 years now. I come here about once a year. I also travel a lot throughout Europe for work. What I experience here is unique. (Rooms/value for money/location/kitchen/staff friendliness/ Ms. Busse - the good soul of the house) All thumbs up!

All the stars in the world for this beautiful hotel and restaurant. I would like to consider myself a regular at some point. The food is pure enjoyment, first-class attentive, friendly, humorous service, a wonderful outdoor area with pleasantly subtle music in the background, accompanied by the gentle babbling of the fountain. I love everything about this place and will stop there every time my path takes me to Tangermünde (which it will often do, I'll make sure of that :) ). Keep it up! Ps: we particularly recommend the rocket salad with crispy goose liver and the roast beef. A poem!

I was here to celebrate my birthday with a family meal. The food was perfect in all three categories (starter, main course and dessert) and everyone enjoyed it. The view from the higher terrace is simply wonderful.

I will never forget the nutrient stick parfait and the cheeky service - five stars for the delicious food, the lovely service and the great ambience.

The perfect place to unwind. Our third stay - everything was perfect again. A special highlight this time was the morning yoga with the super friendly trainer Oksana! We'd love to come back.

For the second time we were able to be guests in this beautiful hotel. If there were more than five stars, I would give them. Starting with the incredibly beautiful ambience, through the super nice employees to a great, committed boss, everything is perfect here. Of course, we should also mention the delicious, well-prepared food and the breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired. Stay exactly as you are. :)

Many thanks to the castle spirits, we planned for a long time, finally ordered seats on the terrace with a wonderful view of the Elbe and the harbor and were able to enjoy a cozy evening. We were advised and served very courteously and in a very friendly manner. The selection of summer dishes was rewarded with delicious taste. FIVE STAR LEVEL!!!! We would love to come back.

We had a wonderful weekend at the hotel and were able to celebrate our wedding anniversary beautifully on Sunday with a delicious meal with our family. Our room in the garden house was very nice and quiet, the wellness area was not too overcrowded and could be used extensively, the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant with a view of the Elbe left nothing to be desired, so we would definitely like to come back again. We wanted to have a quiet, long weekend for the two of us. The bird's nest, a small but nice garden house, is very hidden on the tower of the complex. Time stood still for us here...we slowed down and left on Sunday. But we also found it very pleasant here. Friendly staff, delicious food and a cute place to walk through. There is a lot to discover in the area. You can also take a beautiful tour along the Elbe by bike. Perfect for us!

Very good hotel with restaurant and great view. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. You immediately feel at home here. The restaurant offers very tasty, varied dishes. We had ordered fish. That was very good. Overall, absolutely recommended!!!

We had a very nice stay at the Vogelnest domicile and we can definitely recommend the hotel. The room is nicely furnished and the private sauna with a small view of the outside is definitely great and offers enough space for two people to lie comfortably in it. There is a small living room corner with a TV and another TV on the wall of the bedroom. The bathroom is accessible via a sliding door and includes a toilet, washbasin, shower and sauna. The bird's nest is very remote and quiet and most of the time you can only hear birdsong. When you come in you first have a small anteroom with a wardrobe and seating to take off your shoes. Then another door leads into the bedroom. The terrace is completely protected from view and there are a total of 6 different seating areas and loungers. There is also a larger table on a gallery and a heater at the top so that you can sit outside for a while even on colder evenings. You can take a shortcut to the wellness area through the back entrance of the Kaisertherme, which is practically next door. It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the restaurant. The breakfast is really excellent! As vegetarians, we really appreciated that there were many vegetarian/vegan alternatives for us. As per the original recipe, the porridge was prepared with water and not with milk, as is unfortunately common in many hotels. The golden milk was also vegan based on oat milk. The vegan mince was absolutely fantastic and we couldn't get enough of it. There was also vegan liver sausage. There was also plenty for meat eaters as far as I could see. We also got oat milk with our coffee. The rolls and bread were delicious. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and tried all 4 vegetarian/vegan dishes and they were also very tasty and highly recommended. The staff was always very friendly and the boss personally asked every morning at breakfast whether everything was OK. Here are a few small suggestions for improvement/points of criticism on how you could make your stay even more perfect: - Have instructions for the sauna ready. It took us a few tries to find the ideal temperature. - There is a lot of seating on the terrace in the bird's nest, so it could almost be better to use the gallery to set up a whirlpool there. Then you could enjoy the view from there and, in combination with the sauna, have pure private wellness. :-) - Despite the topper, the mattress was clearly too hard for us as we are used to it being very soft. Alternatively, perhaps offer a thicker, soft topper. - We found it a shame that you couldn't have food or breakfast delivered to the bird's nest. Especially because it is such a private wellness domicile, it would have been nice to be able to just have breakfast in bed.

We stayed at this hotel for a nice weekend getaway with wellness and were very satisfied. The room in the garden house was very nice and large. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were delicious and the service left nothing to be desired. Massage and wellness also very good. Thank you again for these beautiful days. We'll definitely come back.

Even days later, we are still raving about our stay. Very courteous service, very friendly and responsive staff. You feel welcome (from the personal parking sign to the treatments that complete a wellness weekend to recommendations and tips for the region). We'd love to come back.

Very nice wellness hotel, perfect for a short vacation. The friendliness of the employees, including the boss herself, and the location were great. There were only minor points of criticism in relation to the price: 1. Unfortunately there was no plunge pool and no possibility of refreshing yourself after the sauna outside (bucket or hose would be enough) 2. The material appearance in the bird's nest suite was not commensurate with the price. PVC covering in all rooms and the shower tray was made of plastic. You could have expected laminate and tiled floors. 3. Except for tap water and apples, all drinks were chargeable. I expect at least tea and simple coffee to be included in the wellness hotel category From my point of view, three points, at least two of which could be easily adjusted, then a great hotel would be really great.

We were only in the restaurant and wellness area. In the wellness area there is a Finnish sauna and bio sauna with a relaxation area and an outdoor area. Multiple showers. Also a swimming pool. You can also book a massage. Entrance to the wellness area is €30 from 3 p.m. for non-hotel guests. Plus a bathrobe, which I think could be included in the price Massages are very 👍 good. The restaurant The price-performance ratio is also right. Nice service.

We expected a lot based on the many positive reviews and were not disappointed. Excellent castle hotel with a lovely owner. Absolutely nothing was missing. Not only was the food outstanding in terms of taste, it also had a lot to offer (unlike many other good restaurants). The room with a view of the Elbe (see photo) was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Very lovingly furnished, super friendly and accommodating. Service perfect in the morning at breakfast. Everything you could wish for is there. Even the lady of the house takes care of the guests personally. Had a bit of bad luck with the staff and the food on the first evening. The second evening was perfect for that. The menu was great and so was the service. Castle complex and thermal baths beautifully located directly on the Elbe. It was a nice long weekend for us.

We spent a wonderful wellness weekend here. It has long been a hotel where everything is just right. In terms of service and quality, it can easily compete with the big hotel chains, although in our opinion the atmosphere here is much more relaxed, nice and familiar!! It's clear that we haven't been here for the last time. Even the flood couldn't stop us from exploring the surrounding area. We are already looking forward to the next visit. A big compliment to the entire team and of course also to the boss, who personally lends a hand here. The food is at a 5 star level whether in the evening or in the morning. The hotel is highly recommended due to its location high above the Elbe, the romantic, medieval surroundings and the matching interior design. The staff, starting with the boss, is very friendly and helpful. We found the food to be excellent, lovingly prepared and plentiful. The entire facility is impeccably maintained and very clean. A very nice hotel with friendly staff who are happy to welcome its guests. The rooms in the castle are individually furnished and you sleep like in seventh heaven. If you have a room with a view of the Elbe, you can enjoy fantastic natural experiences. The wellness area of ​​the Schlosshotel is very clean and you can swim in the indoor pool from early in the morning. The gastronomy has potential, the breakfast is brilliant and varied, unfortunately the dishes we ordered in the evening did not meet expectations in terms of freshness and quality. A lot of things were warmed up or not freshly prepared. All in all, a tip for spending a few relaxing days in Tangermünde.

It wasn't the last visit. Rarely am I so impressed by a hotel and its staff. On all levels, without exception, five stars… the room, the cleanliness, the reception, the breakfast, the kitchen in the evening, the boss! The staff in the restaurant as well as the cosmetics department and the cleaning staff are all friendly and in a good mood. The leadership must really be doing something right there. The boss personally inquires about the well-being of the guests. The hotel is in a very idyllic location and is an absolute feast for the eyes. Thank you for the wonderful stay and see you soon!

Come at 3 p.m.! The cake is great. Meringue cake with gooseberries gets 5*****. A set of hourglasses came with the tea. The location and the view alone are worth the trip.

Das Restaurant 1699 ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und Speisen auf hohem Niveau. Der Blick aus dem Fenster auf die Elbe ist beeindruckend.

Wir waren im Restaurant zum Abendessen. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und angenehm eingerichtet.Ich kenne das Gebäude noch als Kinderkrankenhaus. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat 5 Sterne Niveau und war seehr lecker. Alles in Allem ein gelungener Abend.

Die gesamte Burganlage ist ein Traum. Wunderschön gelegen und ebenso in Stand gehalten. Das Angebot des Restaurants ist sehr gut. Der Service freundlich und angenehm. Übernachtet haben wir nicht.

Ein Kleinod für ganz Sachsen-Anhalt und insbesondere für die Altmark, für Tangermünde natürlich erst recht. Hier trifft Spitzengastronomie auf Gastlichkeit. Due Chefin, Melanie Busse und ihre Schlossgeister sind einfach nur super. Hier sind wir immer wieder gern.

Traumhafte Lage am Elbufer. Unser Zimmer mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die perfekte Sauberkeit im Zimmer und in der Hotelanlage fiel uns sofort auf. Der freundliche Service ist beispielhaft. Schwimmbad und Saunen fanden wir prima. Das Abendessen war Klasse, der Koch kann sein Handwerk und die Servicekräfte waren sehr aufmerksam. Vielen Dank an das Team, wir kommen wieder.

Einfach Traumhaft und es bedarf keiner weiteren Worte. Wir haben dort unsere kleine Hochzeit gefeiert und sind immer wieder gern dort. Alle sind extrem lieb, freundlich und serviceorientiert. Tolles Ambiente und sehr gute Qualität im Restaurant.

Wir haben einen wunderbaren Abend im Restaurant verbracht. Das Essen war exzellent und der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns, wie immer, sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben im Königin Luise übernachtet. Kleine Anmerkung: der Seifenspender in der Dusche ist zu weit oben angebracht und etwas umständlich im Gebrauch Wir waren vom Service und Essen begeistert. Frühstück sehr gut und auch unser Abendessen, welches wir draußen mit Ausblick genießen durften war hervorragend. Dies können wir uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Unsere Massagen waren sehr gut. Leider war das Wasser der Therme etwas zu kalt. Sauna war gut. Kurzum: Ein Besuch im Schlosshotel ist empfehlenswert.
