Gaststätte „Zum Neustädter Platz“ Fischgerichte von „A“ bis „Z“ und Deutsche Küche in Tangermünde

Addendum October 2024. We were staying here in Tangermünde for a private celebration. On the last day of our stay, my husband chose the restaurant very close to the accommodation for his "final dinner" because he likes to eat fish, but unfortunately I don't! We were very disappointed here, especially since we had previously had very good food in Tangermünde twice and it was of very good quality and everything was fresh and homemade. When you cook at home, you quickly notice the difference! Everything went well with the reservation, the restaurant was moderately busy on a Saturday evening around 7 p.m. and the restaurant could use a little fresh air. My husband chose fish with fried potatoes, I had neck steak with fries (steak au four?) I can't quite remember. After less than 20 minutes (after ordering), the food arrived, almost like in a fast food restaurant!! We were very taken aback, it happened almost too quickly for us and we had only just sipped our beer. Unfortunately there were far too many convenience products on the plate and as I said, if you still cook yourself and buy wholesale...we were very disappointed. - French fries are only known from frozen foods and are OK. - Fried potatoes all looked the same round and therefore purchased and very oily/dark brown crispy, hard fried. - White cabbage salad, unfortunately, also ready-made (since every dish was included, you could have made it yourself). - Mixed salad unfortunately also ready-made from the bag. Rewe has something like this packed in bags in its range! Very unfortunate! - Neck steak I think gratinated, maybe 50/50, I couldn't quite place it, but it was very dry. - Fish, since nothing else was declared "freshly caught", it was frozen (that's OK, we assumed), but also completely drowned in oil! We were asked how it tasted and I was honest and just said "...it was okay", I didn't say anything else. The young waiter looked at me with a very horrified expression of bewilderment and of course asked “Why”. Since there were other guests sitting around and overhearing my answer, I just said it was okay. Otherwise I wouldn't have eaten it. No matter how expensive some things have become... labor costs, etc.... We're happy to spend €1 more on home-made food... that starts with the fried potatoes.

Fish ! Legga here, but something like that!! You don't expect star cuisine, but solid cuisine for years. We have always enjoyed it! Classic German cuisine, schnitzel etc. are also offered in addition to fish. Keep it up guys, come back 😉!

I went there because the fried potatoes were so bad in the reviews. Unfortunately they were almost cold, not crispy and not much. The pike perch was okay, but nothing special and the side salad was unfortunately no longer healthy due to the fatty dressing. I expected more. You have to like the furnishings, with old carpets and decorations from the 80s.

I've known this restaurant for almost 50 years and still enjoy going there. The nice thing is that everything has developed further. The food is super tasty, the service is great and the atmosphere is very cozy. I can only recommend it because the prices are also completely reasonable 😉

We were there today, May 26th. in this restaurant. Actually it should have been better left alone. As soon as we stood at the door with interest, they explained that it would close at 7 p.m. Well, we sat down anyway. My husband wanted an onion schnitzel. Astonished, the waiter said we didn't know anything like that here. Then the boss came. No, there is no onion schnitzel. Only mushrooms, peppers - Hamburger Schnitzel. When we asked you what it was difficult to fry a few onions. You acted like you didn't know what it was about. We then had a Hamburger schnitzel and fish. The fish was watery with horseradish sauce tasteless. Nothing was worth the money. And Actually, at exactly 7:05 p.m. the waiter is already standing there in a very unfriendly manner to collect money because it's closing time. Cheers. Out with the guests. Customer-friendly is different. There are enough nice restaurants in town. Just go somewhere else.

I visit this cozy restaurant every time I visit Tangermünde and have never been disappointed.

We got a nice table at short notice. Very friendly, competent service. Food was very good and plentiful. Price-performance ratio fits. When we are in Tangermünde again, we like to stop here. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation.

9.4.24 First major motorcycle tour in the 2024 season. Unfortunately only cash payment, which is incomprehensible these days.

Food very tasty, nice service, I like to eat there 03/24: Were there again today with 10 people. Everyone got their food at the same time, everyone enjoyed it very much and we were served very nicely. Thank you very much, we'll always be happy to come back!

I've been going here every now and then for years, whenever I'm in Tgmd. am. Old memories. I already knew the pre-pre operators. The food is as always, the fish is great. The side dishes always take me back to the 80s. Like the whole menu. If you like nostalgia, this is the right place. The food tastes good and the price-performance ratio is completely ok.

The word traditional house can be used to refer to the ambience. A little journey back in time to the 90s awaits you when you enter. There is a real innkeeper behind the counter, the television is on and you can choose your table. The service is quick and understanding. The WiFi key is also available. I had unbreaded plaice fillet with fried potatoes, salad with sweet sauce (like before, very tasty) and a dollop of dill sauce (the dollop was a little too little, so not 5*). I haven't had such a delicious plaice in a long time. Fried potatoes at their best, not greasy, not too crispy...everything perfect. I will gladly come again!

Tangermünde. The second time here with our motorhome. And another lucky hit with our restaurant. We chose the restaurant “Zum Neustädter Platz”. Specializing in fish, both freshwater and sea fish, but there are also tons of schnitzel variations...! The guest room, civil. Clean. The service staff was extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and quick. But never hectic. We once ordered redfish fillet and zander. The portion size is sufficient. The taste is great! The price is almost outrageously cheap. We were more than satisfied. An unreserved recommendation 👍👍

Endlich geschafft! Wir wollten schon lange in diese Gaststätte gehen, hat aus vielen Gründen nie geklappt. Lob hatten wir viel gehört und können es nur bestätigen! Jede Menge Fischgerichte zur Auswahl und auch ein gutes Angebot an bürgerlicher Küche, alles sehr schmackhaft und in ordentlichen Zeiten auf dem Tisch! Netter Kellner, Ambiente zwar etwas altmodisch, aber total meins. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Super essen zum absolut fairen Preis

Den Besuch der schönen Hansestadt Tangermünde wollten wir mit einem schmackhaften Essen abschliessen. Wegen der guten Beurteilungen haben wir uns dieses Restaurant ausgesucht. Die Location ist schön, gut gelegen und machte Hoffnung auf ein schönes Fischmal. Das Lokal ist gut besucht, Reservierungen immer empfohlen. Heilbuttfilet mit Meerrettichsosse, Salatbeilage und Bratkartoffeln , sowie Zanderfilet mit Dillsosse und gleichen Beilagen wurden bestellt. Serviert wurden jeweils trocken gebratener Fisch, dessen Geschmack nicht erkennbar war, verbrannte Bratkartoffeln mit verkohlten Zwiebeln, ein lieblos angerichteter Salatmix mit Essig und ein Krautsalat vom Discounter... Dies haben wir dem Personal auch mitgeteilt...bezahlt...und wir kommen trotz der wunderschönen Stadt nicht wieder...Lage ist nicht Alles...

Alles super draußen kann mann schön sitzen, es gibt auch Sonnenschirme das essen war schnell da und hat richtig lecker geschmeckt zudem waren die Preise so günstig. Ich kann das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen

Hatten abends draußen gegessen. Freundlicher Service, Essen war ok (2x Fischgericht), wurde zeitnah serviert, Fischsuppe sehr gut. PLV war absolut in Ordnung, für diesen Preis kann man keine Spitzengastronomie erwarten, doch wir waren zufrieden. Einen Punkt Abzug wegen der Unmöglichkeit mit Karte zu zahlen, hier ist man nicht im 22. Jahrhundert angekommen! (Musste deswegen nochmal zum Stellplatz zurück und Geld holen …..). Und dafür, dass es die Biere, für die auf der Karte auf der inneren Umschlagseite geworben wurde gar nicht gab (z.B. dunkles Weizen).
