A good place to stay, good food, reasonable portions and great service in a great atmosphere!

It was my first time eating there and I really liked the little old market. It was a cozy summer evening with friends.

Food was very tasty! ⭐️ The ambience is cool, but doesn't have much of a feeling of coziness, we sat at a school desk. It looked more comfortable outside, but everything there was already full. Service, well...The younger waitress was very full of herself, a “Hello” was too much to ask. The older waitress was very nice, a little stressed, but in the end everything worked out well.

Everything fits here! The three of us were here last summer (2023) and were completely thrilled. A year later we returned here and our satisfaction remained undiminished even after this visit. The menu itself is different than anywhere else, the dishes are presented along with some anecdotes about the city's history, very creative! The food was very good, at least we found nothing to criticize. The ambience is unique, the building previously served as a school and inn, it is furnished accordingly, plus the old music - very great! The staff is also very friendly. Highly recommended, would be happy to use it again next year.

Excellent food in a very nice little restaurant. The preparation takes a little longer at peak times but it is also freshly prepared. The outside area is very nicely located. 10/10 recommendation!

Very original restaurant. Unique decor with old school elements. The food was very tasty and the cow's tail beer was tasty.

The example is located in the former old school. If you go in, you can look at everything - including on the 1st floor - very interesting. Because of the fabulous weather, we sat outside at the city fountain, where there are specially designed little "separrées". I had a fantastic Hamburger Schnitzel (i.e. with a fried egg), my wife had a beef goulash. My fried potatoes were great, the goulash was too peppery for my wife (I thought it was outstanding), the beef was very tender, fantastic. The "Kuh Schwanz" beer is highly recommended (both: light and dark) and as a nightcap we had a "Tangerwiese" (peppermint liqueur with vodka on ice), the waiter said: "Afterwards you'll be in the magic forest!" And laughs... but very legga! And finally a “strawberry soup with sparkling wine”...so refreshing! And anyway: the entire(!) menu is presented in the form of a class notebook along with key historical data (I'll just say: Grete Minden)...really great! The service could be a little more attentive, but that's complaining at a high level...just go there!

This restaurant was already on the shortlist yesterday. A great, unusual restaurant. It is located in the old schoolhouse in the city of Tangermünde. Downstairs, the school rooms are furnished in a turn-of-the-century interior (1900). As a guest you really go back to school. Just great. We chose Hanseatic footwear with the golden buckle and the gold guilders. The food is crisp, fresh and tastes excellent. What I personally really liked was that you could hear how the schnitzel was being prepared in the kitchen. Just great! There were also fried potatoes with the Hanseatic shoes and homemade garlic bread with a fresh salad for the gold guilder. We came back another day and opted for the coachman's provisions and grandma's snack and we really weren't disappointed. The staff is great and you can tell how much passion is invested. They are extremely friendly and try to anticipate your wishes in advance. There is also a really raw warmth. It should also be mentioned that the restaurant is not barrier-free due to the monument protection and is only very suitable for wheelchair users to a limited extent. However, if you ask nicely, you will definitely get help. A reservation is recommended, but it may be the case that reservations cannot be accepted due to weather or personnel reasons. Really recommended. We were here twice, which is unusual for my wife on vacation, we liked it that much.

It was quite windy at 20°, it was completely empty inside, but contrary to our wishes we had to sit outside. The neighboring tables got blankets, but ours were forgotten. We also had to beg to order. The waiter had a cool exploited tattoo on his lower left leg, but that couldn't compensate for the poor service. The food cooled down in no time. For the price, the service was poor and the food was okay. We must have fallen into a tourist trap. A pity

Unfortunately something didn't work during my visit. Almost all the seats in the outdoor area were occupied but unfortunately only one person was operating. After waiting for a while, I moved to another restaurant without having accomplished anything because I didn't see the waitress anymore. Maybe an isolated case?

It is a self-service restaurant with an ambience somewhere between hippy and modern. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food as we only had a coffee machine there.

Top location the “Zecherei Nikolai”, cozy, successful ambience, great team and delicious dishes. What more do you want? Thank you!

Schon die Speisekarte ist eine Reise durch die Geschichte von Tangermünde! Ein absolutes Novum! Das In ere des Gastraums erinnert an eine Schule, Aussenplätze sind ebenfalls reichlich vorhanden! Das lokale Bier ist absolut süffig und kann auch als Flasche mitgenommen werden! Bauernfrühstück und Kräuteromlett waren spitze und wie es die Karte verrät mit lokalen Zutaten zubereitet! Dies schmeckt man! Fazit: Die beste Wahl bei einem Besuch von Tangermünde!

The first time we had farmer's breakfast and brawn in a jar with tartar sauce and fried potatoes The second time it was two horse sausages with sauerkraut and bread The first time the waiter recommended the raspberry barrel shower to us My recommendation is that you order a large glass of it straight away The first time we were served by a really great waiter It was worth eating there in itself The waitress was completely fine the second time Now about the food The card is written funny You get down-to-earth, really tasty dishes It tastes great The portions are large Nothing is presented to you that you don't get. The prices are okay too. Highly Recommended One star less because I can't get in with a wheelchair.

A very individually furnished restaurant, probably unique in its shape, but I find it very cheeky to charge the full price of €20.50 for a children's portion of schnitzel! That's a real shame because I recommended this restaurant to everyone who visited Tangermünde! It's also a shame that there are no children's meals/children's portions on the menu.

That's just great. We made an overnight stop here on a bike hike. Rooms were great, service was great, food and breakfast were great. There were lockable storage options for bicycles and friendly staff. Always happy. This was my third time here and I wasn't disappointed.

For me, seating is a bit too spartan (ancient school desks) but still stylish. Great old school atmosphere. Delicious food and a little journey through time. Nice staff, fast and tasty food and one of, if not, the best cellar beer I've ever drunk. Cowtail beer!! Highly recommended, the “Shoe Sole” menu is lavish and delicious.

This place was recommended to me for the first time in Tangermünde. It is located in an old school and is furnished that way. We ate kettle goulash, which was very good. Full recommendation.

I am very disappointed with the restaurant.

The sign “Kuh Schwanzbier” was placed above the entrance to the example. We also noticed the funny sayings on the slates in front of the entrance to the restaurant. We then tried the cow's tail beer. Really tasty. Since we had booked a boat tour on the Elbe, we didn't eat in the restaurant. But we really liked the atmosphere (the restaurant is in a former elementary school). Really worth seeing.

Nice rooms. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to show my son the premises because it was still "closed" for 15 minutes. Staff pointed this out to us in a rude manner.

Please avoid the interior areas on the "left" as it smells musty and moldy (kitchen, classroom and teacher's room in particular). We missed the food on offer, even though you can sit outside and it actually seems inviting. No thanks, there are much better restaurants locally!

You have to like it but this restaurant is definitely worth seeing. Great from the outside and also from the inside. Old-fashioned furnishings with all sorts of everyday things from back in the day. But a good cook is at the stove because the food is great. Old and more modern dishes with many different drinks to choose from are listed on an unusual menu with funny names. Take a look and try out the selection yourself and choose the best place for you from the several rooms. Conclusion: Be sure to stop by because you won't find something so extraordinary everywhere. Food, drinks, service etc. from me 5*

Totally cool, I had never drunk beer 🍺 (non-alcoholic) and eaten well in an old classroom. The ambience is very good in our opinion, we agreed to it. The service is quick and friendly, the food tasted wonderful. The chocolate pudding for dessert was also amazing. There is so much to see here that you should actually stay much longer. Card payment, even contactless, possible without any problems. We liked it.

Every year again. There's nothing to add here. Anyone looking for a journey back in time to their time as a school child will find what they are looking for here and can eat well at the same time. There is definitely something to talk about.

The ambience is great. Lots of wood, steel and brick. Great decoration, appropriate music. And the food was great. We had brawn and fried herring. A pleasure with the light beer. The waitress even made us try other dishes. I think you can tell I was thrilled

If you want to see Tangermünde you definitely have to go there. Great, rustic inn with extremely friendly service with funny sayings in an interesting atmosphere. Food was super tasty. Each of us 6 friends got their money's worth. We will definitely recommend the Exempel Gaststuben.

one of the first and most beautiful restaurants after the fall of the Berlin Wall. I think everyone who visits Tangermünde should stay here at least once. Otherwise you have to come to Tangermünde a second time. ;-)

Ivent gastronomy in a rustic atmosphere Eating in the bedroom or in the classroom has been implemented here. Be sure to take enough time to read the menu and have the courage to eat something local.

Man muss es mögen, altes Mobiliar, eben das alte Schulhaus von Tangermünde. Eine schöne alte Stadt.

Die Gaststuben sind ein wirklich interessantes Konzept. Wir hatten dort dank netten Personals (Respekt bei den zurück gelegten Stufen) und leckerem Essen einen sehr angenehmen Abend in gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Wann hat man schonmal gemeinsam am Bügelbrett gespeist oder in der urigen Schlafstube? Wir kommen gerne wieder. Das Exempel kann ich jedem empfehlen, der nicht in einem 0815 Restaurant speisen möchte.

Umwerfende Einrichtung auf zwei Etagen, sehr nettes und kompetentes Personal und ausgezeichnetes Essen. Plätze reservieren ist ratsam.

Wir waren schon vor 2 Jahren hier und sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und dem Ambiente. Daher erneut reserviert für die Schulstube. Leider wurde uns ein anderer Platz zugewiesen ohne Begründung. Schade! Das Essen war eher mittelmäßig, das Hühnchen kaum zu schneiden und die Beilage Salat, mehr nicht. Bei der Bezahlung mussten wir lange warten bis jemand Zeit hatte. In unserer Erinnerung war das alles mal viel besser gewesen.

Ungewöhnliche Kneipe, hat einen ganz besonderen Charme. Besonders lecker, das einheimische Kuhschwanzbier.

Also als Kneipe der Wahnsinn, toll wenn jemand eine gute Idee hat und die Geschichte am Leben hält 👌

Ehemalige Schule (aus dem 18./19. Jahrhundert) des Ortes. Man sitzt an Schulbänken, also begrenzt bequem. Urige Atmosphäre; das Personal ist nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist eher Fleischlastig, dafür mit phantasievollen Namen. Es gibt aber auch ein paar vegetarische Gerichte. Leider hatte ich aus Neugier die "Kaiserliche Mahlzeit" bestellt, das sind gekochte Schweineohren. Wollte ich mal ausprobieren, war dann aber leider doch nicht so meins. Fazit: als Erlebnis- Restaurant und Sehenswürdigkeit in Tangermünde durchaus empfehlenswert.

Die etwas andere Gaststube. Tolle Einrichtung aus Schulzeiten und alten Wohnräumen. Hier lässt es sich historisch und gut Speisen und das Kuhschwanzbier genießen. Die Speisekarte ist super gestaltet und das Essen ist hervorragend. Flotte Bedienung und freundliche Sprüche.

Sehr interessante Pinte. Die Speicherkarte lesen macht Spaß. Der Service war cool drauf. Das Kuhschwanzbiere sollte man probieren. Essen hatten wir nur eine Kleinigkeit.

Bei unserem Besuch in Tangermünde waren wir im Exempel zum Mittagessen. Das Ambiente ist witzig - Schulzimmer aus dem frühen 20. Jahrhundert als Gastraum. Das Essen war hervorragend, gut bürgerlich und deftig. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Also insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen, weil auch die Preise moderat sind. Aber: Die Schulbänke sind nicht sehr bequem. Die Schüler damals haben nicht gut gesessen - zumindest wurde der Vormittag lang.

Eine wirklich sehenswerte Gaststube. Eine wunderbare Einrichtung, leckeres Essen und wirklich freundliche Bedienung.

Wir haben gestern bei schöner Herbstsonne erst nur ein Kuhschwanz Bier im sehr schön gestalteten Außenbereich des Exempel genossen. Zusammen mit unseren Getränken wurde von der freundlichen Bedienung direkt ein gefüllter Wassernapf für unseren Hund gebracht. 🤗 Es war auch kein Problem, dass wir nur etwas trinken wollten und das Ambiente (drinnen"Alte Schule" & draußen "Alte Nähstube" 😉), die toll gestaltete Speisekarte, sowie die Aufmerksamkeit der Bedienung hat uns nach einem Bummel durch Tangermünde dann auch zum Essen wieder zurück ins Exempel geführt. Die Karte bietet eine ausreichende Anzahl von regionalen Speisen, Preis/Leistung stimmt absolut und auch geschmacklich waren wir begeistert. Auch die Lage ist perfekt, da man draußen gut sitzen kann, ohne dass Autos direkt neben einem vorbei fahren. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. 👍🏻

Man wird hier in frühere Zeiten von Tangermünde versetzt. Eine alte Schule die zur Gaststätte wurde, mit vielen Räumen wie Lehrerzimmer, Küche und Klassenzimmer. Der Service ist freundlich und das Essen Spitze, alles in allem perfekt. Auf alle Fälle wenn man in der Umgebung oder in Tangermünde ist besuchen. Zu bestimmten Tagen wäre vielleicht eine Reservierung angebracht, einfach nachfragen. Wir bedanken uns noch einmal bei dem ganzen Team für die freundliche Bewirtung und wünschen weiterhin alles Gute.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt, fast wie zu Hause. Sehr netter Service, gutes Frühstück. Ausgewechselt müssten die Matratzen. Sie waren nach unserem Eindruck durchgelegen.

Sehr cooles Restaurant in einer alten Schule! Die Speisekarte ist genial und die Schulspeisung (Nudeln) mit Jagdwurst und Tomatensoße ist super lecke und super günstig. Dazu leckeres Bier! Für Tangermünde ein Pflichtbesuch 😀
