Schloßschänke Andernach in Andernach

We ended up here in our search for local food. Schnitzel and fries for 13 euros. My girlfriend and I both had a hot meal and two drinks. It wasn't 40 euros. The food is basic but tasty and plentiful. The schnitzel melted in your mouth and the fries were nice and crispy. Definitely recommended for anyone in the area. No bank card accepted.

They don't have a credit card!!!

A very cozy restaurant in the center of Andernach. They serve excellent food and a good draft beer. My Jägerschnitzel consisted of two schnitzels and was very good and filling. (The second schnitzel was among the first, so you can't see it in my picture of my meal.) The side salad was a dream. There should be enough food for everyone. My two friends also really enjoyed their food. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. The other guests seemed to enjoy themselves here as well. You simply feel at home in this restaurant.

I highly recommend it. The 3-course lunch menu for under €13 is unbeatable and tastes very good. I would eat here every day if I lived in Andernach. The ambiance is a bit dated, so unfortunately, it only gives it 3 stars.

Super friendly and delicious. We ordered large drinks and only got small ones, but the large ones were listed on the bill. The server noticed it herself and immediately corrected the bill. We wouldn't have noticed. Apparently, you can only pay in cash, but that's okay. Everything is clean and comfortable.

We've already waited 45 minutes for our lunch! So, bring plenty of time.

The food is very good, the ambiance is great, the service is attentive, fast, and friendly. Some dishes are offered in small portions. (e.g., sliced ​​pork fillet, Zurich style with rösti and salad). They should charge less for that, rather than the price of a large portion. So, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right. All in all, the restaurant is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food, as the kitchen was closed due to illness during our visit. I'm simply giving the food 5 stars, however, because my parents often eat there and are always very impressed. The service could be improved. The boys at the next table had to wait a long time to order their beer, and there were only three tables outside occupied, with only one or two tables inside at most. The service was friendly. However, I would consider charging €5.60 for a 0.4-liter Coke a bit cheeky, even in a big city. The dated ambiance doesn't justify such prices, in my opinion. A 0.5-liter draft beer, on the other hand, cost €5.20. I don't see any point in that.

The Schloßschänke is my favorite restaurant. I gave the chef (owner?) 2 Japanese damask knives as a “thank you” months ago. I am always happy to be able to eat at the Schloßschänke. I would like to tell anyone who is not satisfied with the ambience that if the restaurant were renovated and had new seating, it would be on the menu on the right. make it noticeable! Does anyone want that? No ! I find it very comfortable, the seating is completely fine. Nothing should be changed - everything is good.

Nice economy, people very nice, price/performance ratio for the food is appropriate but one star is deducted. The portion of Jägerschnitzel with fries is sufficient if you are not overly hungry. The side salad is super tasty.

Sensational, a down-to-earth, delicious menu for €11.50. The menu included a soup of the day (vegetable broth), boiled beef brisket with horseradish sauce (=Tafelspitz) with savoy cabbage vegetables and a dessert (almond cream with cream). The beef melted in your mouth, super tasty. Not fancy but good cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Nice and attentive service, the food came quickly. Lovely again!

Went to the Schloß Schenke for the first time today, but definitely not the last time. Very cozy, great, friendly service and the food is plentiful and tastes excellent. Very welcome again at any time. In summer you can also sit outside. Clear recommendation 👍

We go there regularly for dinner. There is a cheap daily menu with starter soup and dessert at a great price!!! The dishes from the normal menu are also very tasty. The highlight is the fresh salad with a delicious salad dressing!!! You feel comfortable there because there is always a friendly word from the waitress. Toller Service und wirklich leckeres Essen. Ambiente ist eher altmodisch, aber ich finde es schön. Wir wurden alle satt. Werden auf jeden Fall wieder dort Essen gehen.

Die Bedienung mega freundlich und super nett. So macht Essen gehen Spaß 😁 vor allem der Tipp mit dem osteuropäischen Normadenschnitzel hat uns den Abend gerettet 😁😁😁
