Exceptionally good food and service

Food 1a and was served super quickly... Service 1a...we practically had drinks in our hands as soon as we entered (the waiters were all in a great mood)...the ambience is just great and the boss always welcomes us with open arms and a smile. So if you want really good food, this is the right place for you...

Oh yes, expectations were met. Large menu with some unusual specialties. We'd love to come back.

We always go here when we go to Dessau. Everything is homemade and the portions are large; the schnitzels and fried potatoes are freshly prepared. Last time I had cordon bleu; the size was very filling and really tasty, very tender meat. The prices have gone up a bit, but so have the portion sizes.

Das Schlemmer House hat große einladende Fenster. Der Innenbereich ist vom Mobiliar her etwas praktisch und kühl gehalten. Das liegt aber sicher auch an der Architektur des Innenraums (quadratisch) mit abhängten Decken für Kabelschachtsysteme. Das Restaurant hat aber seine Schwierigkeit die bereits vorgegeben ist, optimal genutzt. Die Weihnachtsdekoration war sehr geschmackvoll modern in zwei Farben gehalten aber auch klassisch und dadurch nicht kitschig. Das hätte auch überhaupt nicht in dieses Lokal gepasst. Die Deko war richtig schön und hat den Raum erstmal gemütlich gestaltet. Das Essen ist sehr reichhaltig und üppig! Man bekommt was für sein Geld! Die Portionen sind wirklich groß, das Essen richtig gut! Ich hatte Fisch, meine Kinder hatten sich einen XXL Burger geteilt und es war immer noch etwas übrig. Das Lokal ist in jedem Fall zu empfehlen!!! Keine billigen Soßen oder fertig Gerichte sondern richtig lecker und selbst gekocht!

Bombastic! Great ambience, super child-friendly service (which even has children's cutlery!), delicious food and quick service. Even the salmon portion next to the hash browns was decent 👍🏻✨ Thank you for the wonderful service!

There were 6 of us who ate here and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Everyone really enjoyed the food and it was also very plentiful. A small point of criticism is the lack of space at the table for 6 people. Otherwise, we can definitely recommend the Schlemmer House.

Ich war absolut begeistert, hier hatte einfach Alles gestimmt. Unsere Bedienung war super freundlich und umsichtig. Das Ambiente ist hervorragend und dann kamen unsere Speisen. Der Schlemmer Burger war mega groß und hatte klasse geschmeckt. Und das Schnitzel Böhmische Art stand dem Burger in nix nach. Die Senfpanade war vorzüglich und die Bratkartoffeln waren kross und lecker. Damen schwamm weder das Schnitzel noch die Bratkartoffeln im Fett. Jeder der Dessau besucht muss dem Schlemmer-HOUSE einen Besuch abstatten. Auch befindet es sich mitten auf dem Markt.

I was absolutely thrilled, everything was just right here. Our service was super friendly and attentive. The ambience is excellent and then our food arrived. The Schlemmer burger was huge and tasted great. And the Bohemian style schnitzel was in no way inferior to the burger. The mustard breading was excellent and the fried potatoes were crispy and delicious. And there was no greasy residue on the plate. Everyone who visits Dessau must pay a visit to the Schlemmer-HOUSE.

Today, like every year, we spent my birthday in the Schlemmerhaus, everyone was happy and we'll be back

Super tasty food, staff very nice, can only be recommended

I hope this is not a typical restaurant of eastern Germany. The food was highly dissatisfying. We tried schnitzel and pasta, both were bad. Combined with a rather high price, I was pretty dissapointed.

The menu is promising and we were looking forward to a tasty meal. However, if pre-peeled and leached potatoes are served with a high-priced meal, it is more reminiscent of school meals from bygone times than of good gastronomy.

Food and drinks are definitely too expensive for Dessau. Even in Munich, one of the most expensive cities in Germany, you can get a schnitzel cheaper. Portions are OK, good size. But the taste is just average, I've eaten better before. Sometimes finished goods are also used. Service was OK. Stays with a one-time visit, still 4 stars.

Very tasty burger with a perfectly baked Camenbert on the patty, the Röstitaler, which perfected the Swiss triple decker, was also appropriate for the higher art of cooking. The steakhouse fries served with it also met all expectations. And there's Guinness ❤️. 5 stars for food + 1 leaf clover

How great are you please!? We showed up at your place unannounced on Friday evening with our two children in the hope of spontaneously getting a place with you. We received a very friendly welcome and were lucky to get a free table. Our children were provided with coloring books and pencils and there was always a relaxed message from the waitress, which we and the children really liked. You definitely have to keep such a great staff! The wait for the food was fair and not too long. And what we had on our plates was a solid 10 out of 10! My wife had ox cheeks...soft as butter and melted in your mouth. I had Manfred's steak with fig ravioli and everything was spot on and I even wanted to lick the plate! I definitely have to come back soon for the fig ravioli alone! Thank you for the lovely evening and your hospitality and child-friendliness!

Nicest service in a long time, can only be recommended

From the reservation to the service to the food, it's a great restaurant in Dessau. We come from Magdeburg and had dinner here for our birthday. Grandma had invited us. Both roulade and cordon bleu were very hot! Everywhere outside was decorated with flowers, a little oasis of well-being. We would love to come back.

There were 12 of us in the outdoor area. Had a nice table with a view of the market square. The menu is varied, from schnitzel to burgers to roulade as well as vegetarian dishes, delicious savory pancakes and children's meals. All members of our group were very satisfied. The ladies and gentlemen from the service were very friendly and willing to have fun. Only the prices are sometimes a bit high, but justified for the service and quality. Conclusion: Recommended. We would come back.

Absolute recommendation! I can't even say if the service or the food is better. Every time a pleasure on site. The service is first class and very friendly. The meals are not only very reasonably priced, but also extremely tasty. So if you want a great ambience, with delicious food served by great staff, then this is the place for you!

It wasn't our first time there and we can wholeheartedly recommend it. The food tastes very good and you are welcomed and served in a very friendly manner. Absolute well-being. Our furry friend was also allowed to come along and was immediately given water (unasked). If you are in Dessau, go there and let yourself be pampered.

The condition was very nice. My ravioli with figs only tasted like cream, lemon and sugar. At €20 it's definitely too expensive for a pasta that tastes so cheap. My friend had a vegetarian burger that tasted okay, but at €20 it was too expensive for a standard burger with no special taste or ingredients.

We had asparagus with schnitzel, a great meal and a good portion to fill you up. Service as always very friendly and accommodating.

Since we spontaneously wanted to go to a restaurant for dinner with our two children, but unfortunately couldn't get a seat in two other restaurants, we went to the “Notnagel” restaurant ☺️ Schlemmer House. We received an incredibly warm welcome here. Unfortunately there wasn't a table available straight away, but the owner kindly provided us with charm and drinks at the counter until a table became available a short time later. The food arrived after a short time from a very lovely waitress. In general, the staff was absolutely service-oriented, on the ball and friendly. Yes, and what can I say, the food was definitely worth another visit. Fresh, tasty and the price/performance ratio is simply great. We can definitely recommend this cute restaurant. Thank you very much for the lovely evening and see you soon. 🔜

Today was our first time at the Sclemmer House and we will be repeat visitors. Price/performance ratio is right. The staff was friendly and the food was great.

The ambience was great and the prices were quite high, so you think it's worth it. However, the burgers for €20+ are a scandal!! For the money you get a thawed patty with a core temperature of 20°C. Pooh! Don't order, no quality. Not just a shame, but dangerous.

Very disappointed... I used to always eat pancakes "Ou four" and thought it was great. This time I was just disappointed... Both pancakes were burnt on one side and the meat was extremely dry... the frozen spiced meat from Kaufland tastes better. Sorry, but unfortunately that's the case... For €22 it's completely overpriced given the quality... We had reserved days in advance and were seated at a table for four, only to be asked to change tables after dinner so that two couples who had also reserved could sit at our table... Planning is everything. Especially since another 2 guests were sitting at a table for 6 and a table for 2 was free from the start.

Es ist ein kleines und sehr feines Restaurant! Leckere Speisen und mit sehr freundlichem Personal! Liegt mitten in der Stadt und somit sehr gut zu erreichen.

If you like German cuisine, this is the place for you. Huge construction worker portions. You're really full. Beer and cocktail were very tasty. Price-performance ratio is right. Toilets were very clean. For this reason alone we will not forget Dessau

I'm not from Dessau and haven't been here often. Since the city is not a metropolis, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and also the menu. I had the Argentine rump steak, medium rare... It was very tasty. The portion was pleasantly large... not overloaded. The staff was pleasant in all areas... not intrusive, there at the right time, attentive. The sanitary facilities were clean. This is certainly a good address for hungry Dessau residents and guests. Gladly again.

I was here for dinner with my husband last week. If you like German cuisine, this is the place for you. Excellent freshly fried schnitzels and delicious side dishes as well as super nice service. We had a great evening and will definitely come back.

Wir haben gestern unseren winterlichen Teamabend hier verbracht. Das Team war sehr freundlich und hat sich gut um uns (35 Personen) gekümmert. Das Essen war reichlich und lecker. Auf die Sonderwünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Die ganze Organisation dieses Abends hat wunderbar mit Herrn Brief und Herr Hesse funktioniert. Vielen Dank dafür und natürlich auch für die tolle Bewirtung 🙂
