We cycled the Elbe Cycle Path for a month, and sometimes reality is more beautiful than any photo! The hotel we booked was indeed the dreamed-of end point of a "chilling" ride, and the room was amazing.

We ate here. They serve home-style cooking. The menu isn't too extensive, which is quite pleasant. The food is okay, nothing outstanding. The service was also okay. It took a while for the food to arrive. The kids' food came relatively quickly, but the rest had to wait longer. The location, right on the Elbe River, is unbeatable and shortens the wait. There's a large terrace where you can sit comfortably. It's also a great place to hold a party.

We were there with a group of friends for coffee and cake. The cake was delicious and the service was very friendly. Our every request was responded to promptly. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Very nice hotel with a view of the Elbe River. Great service. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Spacious room, with a refrigerator in the adjacent building. Lovely terrace. Unfortunately, the hotel ferry wasn't running due to low water. But that's not the hotel's fault. 100% recommendation.

Always worth a visit, a great "corner" with a beautiful view of nature, birdlife, and the Elbe.

Restaurant directly on the Elbe with a large beer garden

We stayed in a very nice apartment for five nights, with a terrace overlooking the Elbe. Quiet and beautiful location, simply relaxing. From there, you can cycle in all directions. Unfortunately, the Elbe was low, so the small ferry wasn't running, but that's just how nature works. Very friendly staff, everything was perfect. We'll be back.

I like coming here every now and then. My mom especially enjoyed the excursions. It's a lovely place to sit right on the Elbe River under large parasols, and if you're lucky, there's still a breeze. The prices are still reasonable, but the portions are quite small. There are various pastries on offer. You can skip the coffee that comes with it, though.

The terrace is a lovely place to sit. We've been visiting the Elbe Terraces for years.

Extremely excessive prices on the terrace! Swapping from fries to boiled potatoes cost 50 cents, and there were actually two wasted potatoes on the fish plate without any sauce! My complaint was taken by a loudly shouting employee who has been with the restaurant since February of this year. I should complain at www..... .Very unfriendly to customers! The location is great! The venison goulash was very well laid out! I was lucky I wasn't that hungry! Unfortunately, it's getting worse and worse! Thank goodness the location can't be changed. Next time, eat your fill somewhere else first and just have a beer on the lovely terrace! The waitress, Mr. Samir El-Quardy, was the only positive thing, even before the location!

Beautiful restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. The food was also very good. They served elaborate dishes within 15-20 minutes, amazing! I'd be happy to go back.

Only rate the restaurant, not the hotel. The food is bordering on audacious. My gourmet schnitzel was completely drenched in a questionable hollandaise sauce from a carton, which overpowered any flavor of the schnitzel or the frozen vegetables. The ice cream sundae I ordered was mediocre supermarket ice cream. The quality offered is completely out of proportion to the price. The service was attentive but seemed overwhelmed. The location is good.

Restaurant excellent food and first-class service / Rooms are okay, with a great view of the Elbe

A beautiful restaurant right on the banks of the Elbe. Very friendly staff, and there was no wait time despite the large crowds at opening. Delicious food, for every taste.

Unfortunately, a disappointing first and last visit to the Elbterrassen restaurant in Brambach. We were really looking forward to our visit on July 12, 2025, and arrived around 6:00 p.m. in heavy rain. Unfortunately, our welcome was anything but hospitable. The bar staff member seemed overwhelmed and told us we would have to wait for the manager to be assigned a table. Shortly afterward, a group of four people came in without a reservation and were seated by the manager – apparently without consulting us – at the last available table. We, however, were sent away in the rain with the request to take a walk – in pouring rain, mind you. What particularly disappointed us was the unfriendly tone and the lack of greeting. A simple "Good evening" or a token of appreciation for guests would have been the least we could have done. Unfortunately, this treatment made us feel unwelcome. Because of this experience, we will of course not return and will share our disappointment with our friends and acquaintances.

Sitting on the Brambach Elbe terrace in the summer is a wonderful experience. The view of the Elbe—there's always something to see. Here, too, the lack of staff is noticeable. The food is simple and delicious.

Highly recommended. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The location is unbeatable, with a large beer garden overlooking the Elbe River.

Restaurant Visit We were there for lunch on a Sunday. The food and drinks were too expensive. The outside ambiance was mediocre. Simple folding chairs and tables without tablecloths were scattered haphazardly on the terrace.

The food was okay... The asparagus wasn't peeled properly and was bitter. The schnitzel was soaked in oil and had a bit of gristle on it.

This was our first time here and we'd love to come back. The Elbe Terrace lives up to its name. Located directly on the Elbe River, it's a quick way to unwind and escape from everyday life. It's beautifully situated and quiet... The hotel rooms in the guesthouse were very clean and well-equipped. The breakfast and food were good and tasty - the portion sizes could have been a bit larger at dinner. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly and accommodating to guests' requests.

Pure Ostalgie (nostalgia for the past), if you like it. The ambiance and the food are just like they were 30 years ago. We were disappointed by the cafeteria atmosphere; the food was okay, but nothing special. The view and location are great, right on the Elbe. Ideal for bike rides.

A cozy spot far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Recharge your batteries, gaze at the Elbe, and listen to the bell ringing when the ferryman is needed. The food is delicious, and any special requests were happily accommodated. We would love to come back. The price/performance ratio is right.

A great, quiet, and secluded little hotel. The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are tidy and clean. Unfortunately, our room (in the guesthouse) was very thin. It made a lot of noise whenever someone moved in the room above us. We had a balcony with a great view of the Elbe River. Breakfast was okay.

We ate at Elbterrassen zu Brambach today. The food was okay, but not outstanding. We had a variety of dishes. The photo shows the Schlemmerschnitzel. Tasty with some minor flaws; the mushrooms tasted a bit sour. However, the food arrived quickly and was piping hot. For dessert, we had various ice cream sundaes, which were tasty but not outstanding. Overall, the service was very attentive and approachable at all times. The view was outstanding and definitely worth the trip. Thank you very much! We'll be back!

Nice hotel right on the Elbe. Free parking and bicycle storage, great. The rooms are very well equipped and we had a seating area with 5 seats and a beautiful view of the Elbe and were able to sit here with our friends in the evening. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant. The breakfast was sufficient and the service is very good. The ferry across the Elbe ran as needed and we were able to go on great bike rides from the hotel to Dessau or Aken. Conclusion: nice hotel with a great location and very good price-performance ratio.

We had our class reunion here again. As always, our room was very clean with a magical view of the water and beautiful nature. The service and the food can also be praised. We can only highly recommend it and we will become regular guests. Thank you very much 😊

Very nice and friendly service. We had three sundaes and coffee and drinks. Everything came to the table very quickly. It was very tasty and we were also so lucky to see the paddle steamer. A successful bike tour with a stop at the Brambach Elbe Terraces.

Your stay at the Hotel Elbterrassen zu Brambach begins in the hotel's free parking lot and with a very friendly welcome from the hosts. All of the other staff at the hotel are also very helpful, extremely friendly and always guest-oriented. A rich breakfast buffet and really excellent cuisine in the evening are particularly noteworthy. Special requests from guests are easily fulfilled within the scope of available options. The rooms and all public ones Areas are kept very clean with great care. The price-performance ratio can be described as exemplary, and we will be happy to include the hotel in our future plans as an outstanding holiday destination.

The service was friendly and tried to make the best of the chaos in the kitchen. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable. But the cook apparently had some planning problems, so we didn't all get food at the same time. There were similar problems at the next table. The location directly on the Elbe is of course sensational and it will be crowded again in summer. By then the chef will definitely have everything under control... 😊

The location is excellent, but unfortunately the food is no longer up to date. It's not a nice way to serve it and you can save yourself the side salad. Any canteen food is better. Too bad

If you're looking for peace and quiet... you'll find peace here. Beautiful room on the top floor in the building next door. Bombastic view of the Elbe, delicious food in the restaurant and great breakfast... we'll definitely be back. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I can only recommend the hotel.

Well, sometimes a beautiful location and a great view aren't everything. We (two adults, a teenager and a child) went there for coffee on Sunday afternoon. At 3.45 p.m. the plum cake was gone, when I ordered the apple cake I was told at 4.15 p.m. that it was now all gone and that they could offer me a homemade cheesecake. Ok, it can happen. The dollop of cream on the plate was a joke though. When I asked if I had run out of cream, I was promised extra, but it didn't find its way to our table. But the strawberry ice cream sundaes from the remaining three family members left us speechless. Instead of fresh strawberries, as has been common practice for years, frozen strawberries were served, which were not even properly thawed. The ice cream itself was so soft that after a very short time you only had soup in your cup. The toilets were also great - they smelled like the campsite toilets did 30 years ago. My in-laws were there four weeks ago and had similar experiences. In summary, they summed it up well: gastronomically everything was very bland. We can only agree with that.

The restaurant was very cozy, and the food was delicious. The hotel room was very spacious, with a large bathroom. It had a beautiful view of the river.

A very nice place to unwind! The view from the apartment directly onto the Elbe (6m) is really unique!!!!! The price-performance ratio is unbelievable and second to none! We were here with family and it was a very cool time and we will definitely come back!!! The breakfast has everything you need and everyone is very accommodating Roni (the caretaker), women from service and housekeeping as well as the boss himself! In order to get to the restaurant in the evening to eat, be sure to make a reservation in advance as it is not possible spontaneously as it is fully booked! We really enjoyed the week, great weather and a lot of traveling 😉. Thank you Mrs and Mr Hentschel and the team!!!!

Nice restaurant right on the Elbe, in a quiet location

Rooms are nice and big and clean, plus a heavenly view of the Elbe from the room. Staff lovely and nice. There's nothing to complain about in terms of price, everything is right.

A wonderfully quiet accommodation directly on the quietly majestically gliding Elbe. The sunrises are fantastic. Good restaurant and even open every day. Very friendly staff.

Very nice restaurant on the Elbe

Five of us ate there, the food was great, prices were normal. I asked the waitress if I could please get mayonnaise for my daughter and she said you couldn't have said that right away... I had, but with her colleague...In the end I wanted to take another dish with me and she said Service "The cook is busy and can't make another meal! I was a bit angry because I had to bring a kebab with me. The lady with the dark hair was pretty snarky... she can also be nice, although I understand a lot is going on.

Very good country inn! We would like to thank you for 3 wonderful days of vacation in your house, whose location is really brilliant, for the super clean room with a fantastic view of the Elbe, the great ambience on the sun terrace + the good food and the service for breakfast. We felt very comfortable and heartily awarded all points for this hospitality.

Everything perfect and friendly service

At the end of August we treated ourselves to a little break and booked an overnight stay. When we arrived we were greeted very nicely. The apartment on the ground floor with a view of the Elbe was great. Very spacious. Actually an apartment, equipped with everything. Everything very clean. For dinner we sat on the terrace with a great view of the Elbe landscape. The food was delicious and plentiful. The home-brewed beer is recommended. The two ladies from the service were very friendly. They had a lot to do, especially in the heat. Thumbs up! The breakfast buffet space was perhaps a bit cramped, but the offerings were plentiful and the coffee was good. The service was very nice and attentive. Overall, a successful trip. We'd love to come back!

Quietly located with a beautiful view. The terrace offers a great view over the Elbe landscape. You can enjoy good food here. The service is consistently attentive. The rooms in the guest house are functionally furnished. At least 1 room on the ground floor has a window facing the parking lot, which is annoying because many guests inevitably look into the room.

Great guesthouse, very quiet on the Elbe. Important in the current weather: air conditioning Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Dinner in the restaurant is highly recommended, at least the trout. Unfortunately, more was not possible, we were only there for one night. It's a shame, the guesthouse was fully booked.

The hotel is located directly on the Elbe, you can dine and drink very nicely in the restaurant and outside and you have a wonderful view of the Elbe and the landscape. Service is friendly, very busy. The food is sufficient and value for money like everywhere else now.

The climate on the Elbe is pleasant. The service and food is always great! The Elbterrasse in Brambach is and remains my favorite restaurant and highly recommended.

Were there yesterday around 7 p.m. and got a table. After about 10 minutes the waitress came and asked us if we were hotel guests, we weren't, she left and didn't come back, there wasn't even anything to drink. What was the biggest mess was when we left, two guests from the hotel sat down at the table and were served. For me this restaurant is dead. Nobody sees me there anymore. Afterwards we drove to Zerbst to the Greek restaurant (Tivoli) right on the 184. Very good service and also local music. Top can be recommended.

Is wonderfully located on the Elbe cycle path. The only thing you should keep in mind is that it doesn't open until 3 p.m. Fantastic terrace with a wonderful view of the Elbe. The employees are also totally helpful. Even a small bicycle repair, no problem. You'll be happy to come back there. Not to forget, of course, the sensational ferry service.

We had ordered a table there by phone. Unfortunately, when we arrived we discovered that the restaurant was empty and locked.

I was there every year. The view is very nice, the staff was always polite and the food was always delicious. (mostly German cuisine 👌) The small ferry across the Elbe is also a good service for cyclists. This year I was looking forward to all of this again after a long bike ride. Unfortunately the opening hours have been changed due to a lack of staff so you can no longer get lunch there. (Friday 12.30 p.m.). It can happen, but then you should make it public everywhere online and not let potential guests arrive who then sadly find a note that says CLOSED. That really annoys me. I hope the elbterrassen brambach find a way to find staff again and bring their offerings back to their former strength because limiting themselves to coffee and cake in the high season does not attract cyclists with hungry stomachs. They then move on to the competition.

Right on the beautiful Elbe, it is fantastic and beautiful there. The staff was very friendly and the apartments were very clean.

Went there for dinner at my father's request. Location is very nice - right on the Elbe. Large terrace, plenty of parking spaces available. Had reserved. The table was set in the restaurant - very well thought out given the weather that day. Unfortunately, reception took a lot of getting used to - people don't even look at you when you arrive. Service only thawed at the end of our visit. Rustic menu. Food wasn't good for us. Schnitzel very small and fatty. Wild goulash not cooked through. Fries were okay. Toilets were clean and tidy. Conclusion: Great location, recommended for a drink. Food wasn't good according to our taste.

A very nice destination and great food

Hotel in a quiet location, private parking, you can also arrive by ferry or boat, there is a pier. The lady at the reception was pleasant, room No. 22 was in the adjacent new building, a large bright room with a pleasant carpet, underfloor heating, electric blinds, a massive wardrobe, a table with comfortable armchairs. I slept well on the double bed with high, softer separate mattresses and pleasant bedding. The central lighting could have a higher output, but there are also lamps by the bed, so OK. A large bathroom with a level shower equipped with a thermostatic battery, clean everywhere. We really liked the balcony with armchairs and a view of the Elbe. Reasonable price, quiet at night, rich breakfast... great.

The Friedrichs say thank you again. We once again felt very comfortable with you. All around with the sweet trainees who really put in a lot of effort, both visibly and audibly. A year later, we feel very comfortable. No complacent behavior and completely satisfied guests. Spontaneous wishes (keyword banana) will be fulfilled if possible. Short friendly conversations are also possible. The cleaning staff goes to great lengths.

We wanted to have a nice lunch there today on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. We also accepted a slightly longer journey for this. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't open until 3 p.m. Maybe the changed opening times should also be changed online. It's really very annoying when you're looking forward to the restaurant and a nice day and then find yourself in front of closed doors.

We had dinner here in a small group for Men's Day. The place is very nice and the food and drinks were tasty. However, the ordering process was very chaotic, as for some dishes the order was taken, but then about 5 minutes later we were told that the dish was out. Or when ordering, the staff said that they didn't know if the dish was still in stock and would have to ask first. But then she didn't come back for about 10 minutes. It's not a big deal and, given the crowds on the holiday, it's somewhat understandable. I would still go there again and recommend the well-made solyanka as a starter.
