Das El Greco hat uns absolut überzeugt! Super leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft gelegt wird. Die Speisen waren frisch, perfekt gewürzt und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend. Ein Restaurant, das wir jederzeit gerne weiterempfehlen. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

Zur Begrüßung gab es ein Uozo. Sehr netter Service, Essen wahr sehr lecker, Cocktails mega lecker. Auch zwischen den gängen wahr zeit zum trinken quatschen, sehr toll.Wir kommen gerne wieder .👍🏻🥰🫶🏻

In einer großen Gruppe waren wir abends in diesem Restaurant, natürlich ist da eine Reservierung von Vorteil. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend, das Ambiente hat uns gefallen. Man konnte sich trotz mehrerer Leute noch sehr gut unterhalten. Das Personal war zwar freundlich, aber zeitweise etwas überfordert bei unserer Anzahl an Leuten, aber das hält uns nicht ab, mal wieder vorbeizuschauen!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Das Restaurant ist sehr angenehm und die Bedienung war freundlich.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Man fühlt sich willkommen, leider haben wir sehr lange auf unser Essen gewartet und bestellt Getränke wurden nicht mehr gebracht.

seit jahren hier und einfach nur enttäuscht, wie schlecht sie geworden sind. keine begrüssung am anfang, nur der hinwies das mein hund gross ist (obwohl ich das bei der reservierung extra gesagt habe und gebeten ahbe, deswegen kicht exponiert/ mittig zu sitzen. weiter geht mit keinem begrüssungs ouzu und als owr es ansprechen, kriegen wir einen verdünnten in warmen gläser. und den sogar erst nach vorspeisensalat und getränken. sie sagen, sie sind überfordert, obwohl maximal zur hälfte ausgelastet. wer an qualität spart, spart auch an kunden.den abend jetzt noch durchziehen aber das wars dann. essen ok, aber service nicht mal einen stern wert. alles liebe...macht was draus ;-)

Waren das erste mal da, war alles lecker bis auf das mein essen zu viel Fett dran hatte, und alles einen extra Teller hatte, Mussten immer lange warten bis jemand kam da sie sich nur unterhalten hatten. Der Kellner war sehr nett. Als wir gezahlt hatten war der Chef auf einmal unfreundlich weil ich kein Trinkgeld gegeben hatte Also nochmal würde ich da nicht hin gehen

Schönes Ambiente aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, höflich und außerordentlich schnell und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker! Mein persönlicher Tipp: Vorspeise gegrillte Peperoni mit Metaxasauce! Und die Preise halten sich in Grenzen! Parken am besten hinter dem Kino auf dem Kaufland Parkplatz, dann sind es ca. 2-3 min zu Fuß.

Wir hatten uns auf einen wunderbaren Abend gefreut, doch das unfreundliche Personal ließ uns leider nicht willkommen fühlen. Schade.

Wir waren enttäuscht: Obwohl wir um 13:30 Uhr vor Ort waren und sowohl online als auch an der Tür des Restaurants eine Öffnungszeit bis 14:30 Uhr angegeben war, wurde uns der Einlass verweigert. Es scheint, als würden Gäste schon eine Stunde vor Schluss nicht mehr hereingelassen. Wir hatten uns auf den Besuch gefreut, leider ohne Erfolg.

Trotz eines kleinen Fehlers bei meiner Bestellung habe ich sehr schöne Erinnerungen an diesen Abend. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Wir wurden mit Metaxa verwöhnt. Wir bestellten zwei Gerichte, die relativ schnell serviert wurden. Leider war der Fisch etwas paniert, aber trotzdem sehr lecker. Für die Kinder bestellten wir ungesalzene Pommes und bekamen sie auch. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm. Ich kann mit gutem Gewissen sagen, dass es das beste griechische Restaurant in der Gegend ist. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen. Mein Sohn hat ein paar Pommes verschüttet, und da der Boden mit Teppich ausgelegt war, konnten wir sie nicht alle aufheben. Dafür entschuldigen wir uns. 😊

Sehr respektloses Verhalten des Geschäftsführers. Meine schwangere Freundin musste dringend zur Toilette. Wir erklärten ruhig, dass die Toiletten am Bahnhof bereits geschlossen waren und dass wir etwas bestellen würden. Er wollte uns nicht zuhören und jagte uns mit einer abfälligen Handbewegung weg, als wären wir unerwünschte Bettler. Absolut unmenschlich und beschämend für ein Restaurant. Nie wieder.

Trotz Reservierung mehrere Stunden im Voraus wurden wir an einen extrem engen Tisch im Durchzug gesetzt. Ein Tischwechsel wurde uns trotz zahlreicher freier Tische nach 20 Uhr verweigert – unsere Nachfrage wurde schlicht ignoriert. Besonders dreist: Kurz darauf durften andere Gäste, die zuvor woanders saßen, problemlos den Platz an den Tisch wechseln, um den wir gebeten hatten! Der Service war durchgehend schlecht. Leere Gläser wurden nicht beachtet, der Salat zur Hauptspeisekam vor der Vorspeise und auf das Essen warteten wir über 45 Minuten. Auch auf die Rechnung mussten wir mehr als 20 Minuten warten – und wurden danach erneut gefragt, weil man uns offenbar vergessen hatte. Als ich mich zum Schluss über die Situation beschwerte, wurde ich weiterhin ignoriert und der Chef kam zum Abkassieren ohne jegliche Nachfragen.Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, keine Einsicht. Ein Restaurantbesuch, der in Sachen Service und Wertschätzung komplett versagt hat! Absolut enttäuschend und nicht empfehlenswert.

Service ist schlecht. Der Chef ist sehr gestresst und nicht gerade freundlich (dies war bereits beim Reservieren am Telefon so). Die junge Bedienung hingegen war sehr nett. Das Essen ist geschmacklich gut. Ouzo gibt es wenn es hoch kommt 2. Auf die Nachspeise mussten wir 1 Stunde warten und zwei mal nachfragen.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit einem sehr schönen Ambiente und sehr nettem Personal. Das Essen ist einfach nur perfekt. Kann ich jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen.

"El Greco emotionally overwhelmed me with tzatziki." So, I went to El Greco yesterday because my stomach decided that carbohydrates and oregano were the only things that would make it happy. The restaurant itself looks like the place where Zeus drinks his after-work beer. Blue and white decor everywhere, subtly whispering to me, "You're in Greece now, just accept it." I ordered gyros because I'm a simple person. What arrived was... a poem. A telogs, an epic Homeric verse made of meat. I swear, the gyros looked at me like, "Yes, I know I'm perfect, eat me." The waiter was the friendliest person in Europe. I think if I had died there, he would have asked if I wanted an ouzo first. Speaking of ouzo: It hit me like an engagement I didn't see coming. After the second glass, I started analyzing the murals like I was an art historian. Pros: Food so good I briefly thought I was half Greek. Portions big enough to feed a small village. Service that would probably adopt me if I asked. Cons: My stomach is now the size of an Olympic discus. Ouzo is a ninja. Verdict: 9/10 – would go again as soon as my digestive system resigns.

We spent our 3-day vacation in Dessau-Roßlau. For dinner, we chose the restaurant El Greco and were very pleasantly surprised. We dined there last night with our two dogs. We and the dogs were personally and very warmly greeted by the owner and his staff. Our order was taken without any noticeable delay. The usual wait time for an order was minimal. The drinks and food arrived very quickly. The food was excellent. The price and quality were outstanding. The dishes were very well seasoned. There was a wide selection of dishes on the menu. Before and after the meal, we were offered a complimentary, very good ouzo. The staff were very nice and friendly. I've been to several Greek restaurants, but El Greco is the best. The bad reviews are incomprehensible. If we could, we would give it 10 stars. Next time we're in the area, we'll only eat at El Greco.

The food was okay, but the service was so bad! I don't recommend it! Waiting an hour for the food was unacceptable. I had to ask for honey balls, and they didn't come! Never again!

Always friendly staff, fresh, traditional Greek cuisine, and a lovely terrace in the summer! I always eat well there!

Excellent Greek food and very friendly staff.

The food was truly excellent. Unfortunately, there was little sign of the otherwise typical Greek hospitality. Ouzo was only served at the beginning, and no one showed up in between. After about 20 minutes of empty plates, I finally went to the bar myself to pay.

Great restaurant with super delicious food. I haven't had such a good meal at a Greek restaurant in a long time as I did that evening. The staff were consistently very friendly, helpful, and courteous. This is exactly how I want a restaurant experience to be. Next time I'm in Dessau, this will be my first stop.

Since it is close to the hotel, I chose this restaurant for dinner. The food was better than expected and tasted very good.

It's been very bad lately because the food comes very late or not at all. The same goes for the drinks.

For me, this is the best Greek restaurant, with consistently high quality food and service. Expected long wait times are communicated from the start. Even without a reservation, they always find a place to eat. You don't feel rushed, but welcome. Thank you very much.

Well, it's a scam. Stuff guys are EXTREMELY rude, on Google, it's written that they are open until 11pm and on the door till 12pm. We come at 10pm. They said that they are closed and tried to threaten us that we came at the wrong time for them. This is not how you comunicate with your customers.

Despite making a reservation as a group, we had to wait quite a long time. The children received their food after the adults.

We were there today. The atmosphere was great, the service was attentive, but the delivery was completely off. Starters came with the main course, and the salad only came upon request. The table was too full, and the starter was eaten with it. There wasn't really any uso either; I'm used to it a bit differently at Greek restaurants. It wasn't OK, but you remember it and are happy to share it with others.

We go out to eat here every two months. It remains our favorite restaurant because we feel very comfortable there. The service is friendly and super nice. The food is always fresh and delicious.

We were there last night and wanted to grab something to eat before going to the movies. We entered the restaurant at 6:25 p.m. and got a table right away. We ordered drinks and food relatively quickly. The drinks arrived after 10 minutes, and then the salad plates for dinner, but then... At 8:00 p.m., our food still wasn't there. Our movie was supposed to start at 8:15 p.m. We paid for our drinks and left. Once and never again!

We were driving past Dessau and decided to pop in for lunch. Selected this restaurant and did not regret our choice. The food was good, the service very friendly and fast as well. The atmosphere was charming - lots of statues. We chose options from the lunch menu - I guess that the evening version is a bit more extensive. But for us it was plenty and enough. I really liked the taramas and the olives very very good as well. Thank you.

Very bad and everything takes too long even the drinks

Ughh, i had so terrible experience here. I just can't get it, why the waiter was so rude to us..? Was it racism? He was so rude and arrogant, one of the collegin did the wrong order and then treated us like, if we were the wrong ones. If you are working in the gastronomical service, atleast you can do is, treat your customers with respekt and kindness. During the paying process, he literally threw all the receipts to us. I just feeling so humilated and disappointed at their service. I hope that other people won't experience what i did.😔🙂

One of the waiters behaved very unpleasantly and unprofessionally. Not just once, but for the entire duration of our stay, he served without emotion.😑😑😑

Auch ohne Vorbestellung haben wir einen guten Platz bekommen. Lokal knallvoll und trotzdem ging es superschnell und Essen extrem lecker. Außerdem die Preise waren auch ok, die Künstliche Teuerung machen sie hier nicht mit. Dafür gab's eben mehr Trinkgeld. Danke an das Team. Super

It's always been great when it comes to food and service. Unfortunately not yesterday. There were 8 of us and we had to wait forever to order drinks. We didn't get a children's ticket. We waited almost 90 minutes for the food. Several people who came after us had their food before us. There was no ouzo either. When the food finally came, two side dishes were forgotten. We had to call after 10 minutes to get them. 2 children ordered schnitzel. It was totally hard and inedible. We complained, but still had to pay the full price and there wasn't even an apology. Unfortunately it was suboptimal. I'm really disappointed.

Nachdem wir in Dessau in vielen Restaurants zu Gast waren ( z.B. Brauhaus, Teehäuschen, Ratskeller, Kornhaus, Grieche an den 7 Säulen) und dabei gute oder sogar sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht hatten, wollten wir gerne spontan an einem Mittwochabend dem griechischen Restaurant El Greco in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof in Dessau eine Chance geben. Leider wurden wir gleich am Anfang aufgrund des unfreundlichen Personals herb enttäuscht. Keiner der Kellner nahm sich Zeit für uns, man lies uns einfach lange links liegen. Wir finden, dass ausser der richtigen Atmosphäre, einem leckeren Essen, auch eine gute Portion Gastfreundschaft mit dazu gehört, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Das haben wir vermisst! Stattdessen nur eine arrogante Antwort vom Kellner geerntet. Unser Fazit: Gehen Sie bitte nur Montags hin, da hat der Laden nämlich geschlossen.

Very tasty Greek food, in a nice atmosphere and friendly service. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend El Greco.

Even though we didn't order, we got a table. Drinks came quickly, as did the salad (the dressing tasted like it came from a bottle, it's better to make it yourself) and the dish, I had rump steak with potato wedges, was missing the tzatziki...I would have said it was on the menu. Steak was good. Waiters were there quickly, otherwise I found it very cramped there.

Loooooong waiting times... only 2 waiters for the whole restaurant. Empty glasses, no demand for new drinks. Disappointed, again! The boss is not open to criticism either... come with us, there are 3 people out... 1. The guest doesn't care and 2. they could have kindly informed us at the beginning that there may be waiting times due to a lack of staff... it's not written on your forehead. There's no question that your food tastes good...

Very rude waiters and restaurant politics. We arrived a few minutes before closing time and were not served, even though the restaurant owners sat there with a table full of dishes and called the waiter in Greek not to serve us. It's very ugly...

Every year when visiting relatives, we make reservations at El Greco and eat there. Starter salad sufficient as well as dessert. We always avoid the ouzo, I can't rate it. My clear recommendation is the 505.

The food was really delicious. The staff could be more attentive when it comes to drink and food orders. All you can say about the temperature in the restaurant is that you should dress a little warmer. There was a draft even though we weren't sitting near the door.

Food is okay. Our order was forgotten - something like that can happen. However, it was communicated casually and without a word of apology. When we said after dinner that we would like to pay because we wanted to go to the cinema (which was close because we had forgotten), the waitress just looked at the clock in annoyance and, after a groan, said "yes, yes". The restaurant was only half full that day.

Wer viel Fleisch mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Kulinarisch ist das Essen aber keine Besonderheit. Der Taramassalat war eine Enttäuschung und schmeckte nur nach Kartoffelbrei. Das wäre so, wie wenn beim Zatziki der Knoblauch fehlt. Ich kenne Taramassalat seit 45 Jahren auch aus Griechenland. Ich war der Meinung, dass man bei der Zubereitung einfach was vergessen hatte. Ich bat den Kellner, es doch bitte mal selbst zu probieren und wurde wirsch angemacht, das man das seit 12 Jahren so macht und es der Kundschaft schmecken würde. Schade und ärgerlich, das man so unfreundlich reagiert hat. Den obligatorischen Ouzo danach haben wir dann auch nicht bekommen. Es wäre gut, wenn man anders mit Kritik umgehen würde

I've eaten there several times and really enjoyed being there. Emphasis on BEEN! I wasn't even there to eat, just went for a walk and took a break in the shade at the back of the store. Suddenly someone storms out of the kitchen and starts to occupy me directly, apparently a waitress. This area belongs to the public, El Greco employees disagree. I have to disappear and not sit on their bench. I think it's a shame that you're not able to stay calm and cause "problems" where there shouldn't be any. So you can eat, but the bench at the back is taboo!!! otherwise you will see...

We had dinner there with a group of about 12 people on a Friday evening. When we arrived, we waited about 30 minutes until someone actually took our drink order when we asked. Since 2 friends of ours had to start their night shift, they asked the waiter if they could order their starters and main course in advance due to the long waiting time. This was denied. I noticed that the waiter was in a really bad mood and was still rolling his eyes. Okay, now we're here. After about 1 1/2 hours we had our food. Yes, it was ok. But nothing special. The honey balls were good, but other Greeks offer them on the house, which is unthinkable here. Conclusion: After staying for about 2 1/2 hours, we were happy to leave the restaurant. Impossible service, endless waiting times, food nothing special AND extremely expensive! We paid €75 as a couple, which only included a drink and a main course, something is definitely wrong here. Once and never again, other Greeks here in Dessau can do it much better!

There were 6 of us there. Service was very bad. Staff and boss unfriendly. Drink was not brought despite notice that there was still no response. When we received the bill, we discovered that the amount was incorrect and asked for a receipt. After checking, it was discovered that we had paid for the wrong table. When I complained about it, the boss became very abusive. I explained to him that I could tell him exactly what we had and asked for a correction. He got upset. So we will never go there again. Something so rude doesn't work.
