SchillerGarten in Dresden

Absolutely delicious!! We were looking for a quick dinner before going to the movies and therefore chose Schillergarten (based on the reviews). It was a real treat; my partner had the roulade and I had the pork knuckle (see photo). Both dishes were incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, and offered excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. Overall, a fantastic experience; we'll definitely be back. We'll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the lovely beer garden!

We were in the spacious outdoor area with a bar and grill! Despite the large number of visitors, everything ran very smoothly and efficiently. A beautiful view of the Elbe River, the "Blue Wonder" bridge, and the Elbe hillside! 😍😍😍

Delicious food – but if a restaurant still uses a discriminatory name for its schnitzel in 2025, you have every reason never to visit again. What a shame!

Without any signage, a single person was allowed to smoke next to us, and the entire place stank. Disgusting that it's allowed to poison others while you're eating. The restaurant should be ashamed of itself, and so should the woman for showing no consideration and just walking out the door.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. We were here with four adults and two children and were very satisfied. Definitely recommend it 😃

The waitress at the bar in the Schillergarten seemed annoyed, and her responses were appropriate. The bratwurst was pre-cooked, then put back on the grill for a maximum of one minute, and then arrived almost cold at the customer's door. The atmosphere was great, below the Blue Wonder with a view of the Elbe.

Lots of dishes. Delicious, too. But not a single dish resembling chicken schnitzel or turkey. The duck was too big for my wife.

Many visits to the restaurant and beer garden have always been excellent, and most recently, at our small company anniversary, our every wish was fulfilled, from constantly booking more guests to special requests for food and now even a subsequent request for an invoice. Everything is always fulfilled immediately and to our complete satisfaction. Thanks and best wishes to the super friendly team. See you soon.

We ate at a restaurant. The pot roast was delicious, but the portion was really small. I didn't like the steak au four. The children's schnitzel wasn't tasty either. It's too expensive for that.

The roast pork tastes good. The prices are average. In winter, the conservatory offers a beautiful view of the Elbe.

In Dresden, people meet in the Schillergarten. And it's been that way for over a century. If you want to experience the authentic beer garden and brewery atmosphere, there's nothing better. Great beers, good wines, and down-to-earth cuisine. The homemade bratwurst or pea soup from the kettle are top-notch!

The prices are top-notch, but unfortunately, the quality of the food doesn't match the price and is more like third-rate. My husband had the steak with gypsy sauce and buttered peas. The sauce made me suspect that some of the soy sauce had been spread over the meat, and the peas were also rather meager. I had the burger with raclette cheese, fries, and coleslaw for €19.80. The only thing that tasted good and was hot were the fries. The burger was barely warm, and with the raclette cheese, you could tell it had been heated in the microwave. The burger would certainly have arrived warm, even warm, if it hadn't had to wait so long for delivery to the table. There were plenty of staff, but they preferred to mill around the counter instead of looking after the customers, and they were unfriendly to boot. We won't be coming back.

On a bike ride, we visited the beer garden here in perfect weather. Friendly and quick service, good food, and a beautiful view, including the Blue Wonder. What more could you want?

A spacious beer garden right on the Elbe River / Blue Wonder. Nice seating. Card payments are accepted when getting drinks, but unfortunately not at the food stand. Fortunately, there's an ATM nearby, but it's still not a great solution.

We went to the SchillerGarten (beer garden) and this time opted for the sweet potato fries. They were truly delicious, crispy, and served with the perfect dip; highly recommended. However, I have to say that the portion was a bit small for the price. Overall, it feels like the bowls have gotten smaller over time, while the prices have tended to rise. Apart from that, the Schillergarten is still a nice place to stop by. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food selection is varied, and the ambiance with a view of the Elbe River simply invites you to linger. Despite a few minor criticisms, we'll be happy to come back.

A very nice spot right next to the Blaues Wunder (Blue Wonder), with an extensive menu and a wide selection of drinks. We enjoyed our meal and were quite full. There was still room for ice cream afterward, though. 😀

Pure relaxation with a beer and a bratwurst

We stopped for a beer a few times. It was always a good idea.

Whenever we're nearby, we like to grab a quick bite to eat at the Schillergarten, often in the beer garden with a beautiful view of the Elbe. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the price is good. The ice cream from the in-house pastry shop is also delicious. I highly recommend the Schillergarten. :-)

The beer is average. I miss what defines beer in Upper Franconia, Saxony, and Thuringia: "Good handcrafted beer." The food is very good. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and service-oriented.

The location is truly unique! At the foot of the Blaues Wunder (Blue Wonder), and our group had a beautiful autumnal view of the Elbe and the Weisser Hirsch (White Deer) from the dining room. The food was okay, and the value for money was definitely good. Regular prices for regular food, no rip-offs. The service was friendly and attentive. It was a successful evening 👏🏼

It's so beautiful here, and I highly recommend it! There's something for everyone. Especially the view of the Blue Wonder and the steamships.

The food in the restaurant (including herring and potato pancakes) was bland, with ingredients that came from cans or frozen foods. The price/performance ratio was poor. It's extremely annoying that there are no milk alternatives for coffee.

Pleasant and good atmosphere. Prices are higher than usual, but the dishes are delicious. Perhaps too much sauce on the burgers, which can be overwhelming.

A visit is worthwhile both inside and out. The beer garden is well-attended in good weather, and the beer is delicious, too.

I relaxed in the beer garden. It's a lovely spot on the Elbe River with a view of the Elbe and the Blue Wonder Bridge. If you'd like something to eat and drink, you can grab something from the grill or the bar.

We got to the beer garden early and got the best seats with the best view of the Elbe and the Blue Wonder Bridge. The bar staff could have been friendlier. That really bothered me.

The food was very good, and the location at the Blaues Wunder is certainly worth seeing. The service was friendly, but more attentiveness would have been welcome. Regarding refills for drinks or dessert, I would have preferred a proactive request rather than repeated requests. This was despite the fact that we were seated on the main walkway leading to the outdoor terrace.

This beer garden has a great atmosphere and the food and beer are both delicious and fun. I had the veal schnitzel, which was very filling and delicious. I'd definitely like to go again if I visit Dresden in the summer.

By bike, and of course with my Steffi, we had our first (planned) break at the beautiful Schiller Garden. After my Steffi had to move the bikes for her absolute safety, she too arrived on this wonderful terrace after 10 minutes. In beautiful weather, we sat with a clear view of the Elbe, right next to the Blue Wonder. Let's get to the food! We had a roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. Everything here is homemade, and it tastes just as fantastic. The team is very authentically friendly; I was even asked if I wanted some sauce... actually, yes, but I'm already too fat! Inside and out, everything is lovingly and high-quality crafted, with a classic style. I found the restroom particularly striking and detailed. Thanks to the entire team!❤️😘

The SchillerGarten in Dresden is simply a wonderful place to relax. 🍻 You can sit comfortably in the beer garden, order your drinks right at the pavilion, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The food selection is diverse—from hearty classics to light snacks—and the prices are absolutely fair. Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a little escape in the heart of the city.

We went to SchillerGarten and ordered a cheese platter and roast pork. Overall, everything was good: decent portions, simple flavors. The real highlight is the view of the river and the relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a quiet break. Very busy on weekends!

Everything is self-service, and even though it was quite busy, we didn't have to wait long for either drinks or food. The food selection was quite extensive for a beer garden, with good portions and fair prices. The staff were consistently very friendly and helpful. The fact that the service only gets 2 stars is because everything was self-service; otherwise, it gets 5 out of 5. Highly recommended; we'd be happy to come back on our next trip to Dresden.

This is a pretty biergarten. Not too crowded on a Saturday. You'll need reservations if you want to sit in the bistro section and eat something other than roast bratwurst/soup.

The ambiance is just what I like: down-to-earth and, as far as the outdoor area goes, in a beautiful setting (see attached video). The shop is large, but the service is still prompt and friendly. The food is good and typical of the region. The prices are fair, and it's a pleasant place to spend time. We'll definitely be back!

We were invited to my parents' birthday party last night and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the lovely evening. It was simply perfect. A tablecloth, cloth napkins, and a very well-trained and attentive restaurant professional served us (Janina or something similar was her name). Very delicious food, the server was very nice and attentive. There were five of us, and everyone enjoyed their meal. I personally had the knuckle of pork and a solyanka. Perfect place, plenty of space.

If you visit Dresden you should definitely visit this lovely restaurant/ café/ Beergarden. Located a bit outside of the city center this place has a rich history of since 1730 especially with the famous Poet Schiller being a regular. Service was immaculate. View was amazing right next to the blue wonder bridge and next to the Elbe river. Food was delicious and diverse in German kitchen. If you want to have a seat with the best view you might consider reserving first but I went to lunch time and there were plenty seat available.
