The service and the location are good, but the prices for the food are far too high. Half a sweet potato with salad for around 20€ or a "couscous bowl", which is a relatively simple salad with couscous, also for just under 20€ are disproportionate.

I had a great time thanks to the cheerful and friendly staff! There is a QR menu in several languages ​​at the back of the menu, making ordering easy. I ate 4 menu items, and personally, the chicken leg teppanyaki dish was delicious!

Restaurant with a spectacular setting, the waiters are dressed in period clothing and the portions are generous. An ideal place if you go with children and they are tired of visiting the city, here they will surely recharge their energy. It is not a cheap place, but it is good value for money.

Just great! An absolute must-do when visiting Dresden! We were able to take a look at the great atmosphere the evening before and made a reservation for the next evening. The food is great - and the fact that the employees are so authentic in their roles makes the whole experience very special. We will definitely come back!

Allergies? Definitely don't eat here! Tonight I had dinner at this restaurant with my wife. She is not allowed to eat pork and chose the beef roulade. After ordering the main course, we decided to ask an employee about a starter. We specifically asked if a particular entree contained no meat, to ensure it did not contain pork and that my wife could eat it. The employee indicated that the chosen starter was vegetarian. While eating the starter we started to have doubts about what we had been served. We asked the employee who brought the main course what the spread with the bread was. He indicated that this was pork fat. We then put the starter aside and asked this employee if the main course my wife ordered really did not contain pork. This employee indicated that there was no pork in my wife's dish. When we received the bill from yet another employee, we explained the situation about the starter and indicated that we were shocked by the situation. This employee then indicated that her main course, the beef roulade, also contained pork. Apparently they put pork in everything without mentioning it on the menu or answering questions and the customer should just know this. No apologies were made and the employee was mainly concerned about the amount of the bill. We calmly stated that before ordering the starter we had explicitly asked whether it was vegetarian and that this had been handled incorrectly and that otherwise we would not have ordered this dish. The employee walked away angry and returned with a new bill that was thrown in front of me. Once again without any form of apology or empathy. My wife indicated this and then left angry. The employee mumbled something unintelligible in German and did not want to repeat his statements. In short: go here if you a) want to be a pig in everything or b) think your answers to questions are overrated. Don't go here if you don't want your evening to be ruined by an unpleasant surprise that you didn't see coming, even though you've done everything you can to avoid it. If you have allergies, please know that you should not rely on the knowledge or 'expertise' of the staff!

Allergieën? Ga hier absoluut niet eten! Vanavond heb ik samen met mijn vrouw gegeten bij deze zaak. Zij mag geen varkensvlees eten en koos de runderrollade. Na bestelling van het hoofdgerecht besloten we alsnog een medewerker te vragen naar een voorgerecht. We vroegen expliciet of een bepaald voorgerecht geen vlees bevatte, om zeker te zijn dat het geen varkensvlees bevatte en dat mijn vrouw dit kon eten. De medewerker gaf aan dat het gekozen voorgerecht vegetarisch was. Tijdens het eten van het voorgerecht begonnen we te twijfelen over hetgeen we voorgeschoteld hadden gekregen. Aan de medewerker die het hoofdgerecht kwam brengen, vroegen we wat het smeersel bij het brood was. Hij gaf aan dat dit varkensvet was. We hebben het voorgerecht vervolgens terzijde geschoven en aan deze medewerker gevraagd of het hoofdgerecht dat mijn vrouw had besteld echt geen varkensvlees bevatte. Deze medewerker gaf aan dat er geen varkensvlees in het gerecht van mijn vrouw zat. Toen we de rekening van weer een andere medewerker kregen, legden we de situatie over het voorgerecht uit en gaven we aan geschrokken te zijn van de situatie. Deze medewerker gaf vervolgens aan dat óók in haar hoofdgerecht, de runderrollade, varkensvlees zat. Blijkbaar stoppen ze varkensvlees overal in zonder dat op de kaart te vermelden of op navraag te beantwoorden en behoort de klant dit gewoon te weten. Er zijn geen excuses geboden en de medewerker maakte zich vooral zorgen over de hoogte van de rekening. We hebben rustig aangegeven dat we voor onze bestelling van het voorgerecht expliciet gevraagd hadden naar of het vegetarisch was en hier incorrect mee om was gegaan en dat we anders dit gerecht niet hadden besteld. De medewerker liep hierop boos weg en kwam terug met een nieuwe rekening die voor mij neer werd gegooid. Nogmaals zonder enige vorm van excuus of empathie. Mijn vrouw gaf dit aan is vervolgens boos weggegaan. De medewerker bromde nog wat onverstaanbaars in het Duits en wilde zijn uitspraken niet herhalen. Kortom: ga hier vooral heen als je a) overal varken in wil hebben of b) je antwoorden op vragen ook maar overrated vindt. Ga hier vooral niet heen als je niet wilt dat je avond verpest wordt door een onaangename verrassing die je niet zag aankomen, ondanks dat je alles hebt gedaan om dat te voorkomen. Heb je allergieën, weet dan dat je niet op de kennis of 'expertise' van het personeel moet vertrouwen!

We dined there on December 28th, 2024. The ambience has to be said, wonderful. But: 1. The waitress has already made mistakes when ordering, be it with the drinks, main course, dessert. 2. A solyanka in advance for just €8, small bowl with 1 slice of lemon in it and 1 teaspoon of Frech cream. Really thickened, tastes more like grade 3 and lukewarm. Absolute impudence. Main course -> children were served last, I have never experienced anything like that in my life. I had suckling pig myself... The meat itself, okay...but really little. To do this, the burnt and completely hard skin of the pig is added. Mustard 1 teaspoon, no more. SWEET sauerkraut with it, which I don't think is possible at all. Others had goose leg...which was more like a little guy, hardly any meat on it, for €32. Dessert: Children were initially ignored, then the order was re-rolled in the kitchen and everyone didn't get what was ordered. An espresso with 1 piece of egg pie was also ordered... the espresso arrived, the cake was at the table after 10 minutes after asking twice. Absolute disaster!!!! Never again..... Price-performance ratio ZERO. not justified at all. The customer's opinion is accepted by the waiter/waitress without moving. But the artists performing there deserve great praise and do an excellent job.

My second visit to the Pulverturm Restaurant after 10 years. There is a point deduction for not enough food on the plate. I had the suckling pig for around €27.90........just because it's located at the Frauenkirche, it doesn't have to be so outrageously expensive in combination with not much on the plate. The taste was just okay. Unfortunately my brownie was a bit dry. The service was quick and friendly. Ambience is still so beautifully rustic. Unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed. I remembered it differently.

The New Year's Eve menu 2024 was simply outstanding in every way! It all started with a very nice reception. Afterwards you were seated in a friendly manner and from then on you could enjoy the wonderful and unique ambience. The room and the tables were lovingly decorated and you could immediately feel at home. The service was great, the food was excellent and the humorous musical interludes rounded the whole thing off very well! The acoustics in this location are also excellent. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, you could have a great conversation and it was never too loud or tiring! Absolutely recommended!

What can you say? Very nice atmosphere, really unique. The service from the waiters was very good. The kitchen also has five stars. For our dishes we had dumplings, which were definitely homemade, as was the bread, suckling pig and knuckle. If we are in Dresden again, we will definitely visit this restaurant. The two gentlemen musicians topped the evening again after dinner.

The food was good. Our server was for lack of a better word, horrible. She made us very uncomfortable by frowning at every question asked. She didn’t speak English very well. She seemed highly annoyed that we didn’t speak German. No entertainment was present of any kind, even though a server said it would start at 6pm. We left at 6:30. We really liked the ambience and the server who took over half way through for our part of the restaurant was very kind. We had two beef dishes which were pretty yum. This streusel was meh. Was expecting something a bit different. I’m sure with a better start, I would give the restaurant 4 starts.

Food was great, I had their Half boneless Duck and my husband had Goulash we also shared bread and butter. I think the star of the show was the Duck. They also have dog menu!!!!! The interior of the restaurant is spectacular. It is all set with a medieval look. It even gets to be a little kitsch, but in any case interesting to see. There are different rooms and it is very big. The food is typical German and especially from the area. A good place to go in a group or with friends to spend a good time eating and drinking.

Kaiser dumplings were mushy, duck was too dry and the red cabbage wasn't really tasty. therefore unfortunately 2 points deducted. I went there because there were a lot of reviews from Koreans.... It took a very long time to order and I made eye contact, but even when I called him out, he ignored me. I was supposed to approach the Germans first, take their order, and call another server if they were in separate areas, but they ignored me and I felt really bad. Only then did I approach to take it away after I finished eating it hahaha. Even when I asked for a receipt, they didn't give it to me even after time had passed, so I went and told them in person and they brought it to me. And I wonder what kind of Tapwater they get paid for lol. This is my first time seeing a European restaurant that accepts money. Hmm^^ The service is so bad that one experience is enough.

Terrible service, very rude when you try to ask something... we had to wait a long time for the waiter because there is a lack of staff when the room is fully occupied, which seems to be normal on weekends. It was impossible to change the table even though other tables were free and no one was sitting there during our entire stay, when I asked why I got the answer "because no". For 4 people we paid about 120 € with main course and drinks.

It's a medieval concept restaurant, it has a great ambiance and even the clothes fit the concept. The employees are caring and friendly. We tried Sächsischer Sauerbraten and Geschmorte Schweinshaxe, both were delicious. The portions are large, we had difficulty finishing it. I recommend it to those who want to try traditional Saxony dishes in a historical atmosphere.

We went on a guided tour for a snack in the Powder Tower. The ambience is really great. The trifle was really small but tasty. The waitresses weren't very enthusiastic and seemed a bit annoyed. The toilets were ok in terms of cleanliness.

We had dinner at the Pulverturm in November for my mother's birthday. A table must definitely be reserved. From the beginning, we were told that the table was reserved for us for 2 hours (6-8 p.m.). (That's ok too) During this time you will probably be reminded six times that you are only allowed to stay until 8 p.m. That was really very uncomfortable and annoying. Even shortly after 7 p.m., when we ordered a dessert, we were told again... That's really not nice. For me, a bit like mass processing... But the food was great. Quick and very tasty, just a little pricey. 🙈 Our waitress probably didn't have her best that day either... Despite the fact that the food was great, we won't go there again... But it was also very beautifully decorated for Christmas.

An Advent trip to Dresden took me to the Powder Tower. Without a reservation, with four people, there was hardly a chance of getting a table in this jam-packed, highly sought-after restaurant. The staff at the entrance (outstanding!) didn't make any empty promises but gave us the opportunity to wait in the anteroom. Less than 10 minutes later we had our table. The entire restaurant crew is outstanding. We ordered, had our drinks in no time, the staff were in a great mood and the house was packed. In addition, the food was of the highest quality and, to top it off, Elector Anna Constantia von Cosel was at the table, who informed us about the historical background. It couldn't be better!

The solyanka was delicious, but the main course, a Saxon sauerbraten, has nothing to do with sauerbraten for me as a Saxon and a sauerbraten lover. Quaint adventure restaurant right next to the Frauenkirche. My dish "Marinated Pork Ribs" was excellent, good seasoning (barbecue character with little sweetness) and literally fell off the bone, and was very juicy. Side dishes also very tasty. Another highlight: “Dresden Funnel Drinking”. A big thank you to the "animator", who thrilled all the guests at the table with his funny comments and magic tricks.

Dinner at Pulverturm an der Frauenkirche simply blew us away. We visited the restaurant on September 6, 2024. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of the waiter who served us, but I would recognize him on a cloudy night with hail. Service - AWESOME! His sense of humor destroyed us, in a positive sense. The food was delicious, the portions were big for us - we only ate the main course, there was no room for dessert (so we have to visit there again). Pork knuckle - like a dream. Quality / price ratio - very good plus. Great beer glasses - you can buy them, which is what we did - a great souvenir! The atmosphere of the place is amazing! The history of this location as well. Drinking Mueller Drei is a must! Delicious. I sincerely recommend it, we will definitely visit again. In our opinion, visiting this restaurant is a must when in Dresden. Historically GREAT place. We would like to thank the staff once again for an unforgettable evening!

Nice service. Nice ambience. Plenty of choice on the menu. My friend's pork knuckle was perfect and very tasty. I had suckling pig, the sauerkraut was great, the meat too, unfortunately the skin was baked too crispy that it was already very dark and unfortunately tasted charred, the meat wasn't quite warm, I would say lukewarm. The potato dumpling was also very good and the delicious sauce 👌 Drinks came quickly and at a good temperature. Would come again and can recommend the inn.

Gran lugar en la bodega, muy buen ambiente. Personal amable, comida sabrosa, hablantes decentes de inglés. Teníamos el cerdo y el chucrut horneados en pan, y las “bolas de cañón” que eran bolas de hojaldre con tres rellenos diferentes. Todos estaban bien. Nuestra queja es que después de que terminamos, tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para obtener el cheque, principalmente porque nuestro servidor desapareció y no vino a vernos. Hubiéramos pedido el postre si no hubiera pasado tanto tiempo antes de volver a verla que estábamos cansados de esperar.

The suckling pig immediately caught our eye and so we had to order it. The service was friendly but was probably in a hurry or generally led a hasty life. Unfortunately, the suckling pig was not convincing. There was more floating in the broth of the herb than in its own sauce. In terms of taste, it was rather laff. The taste of the herb was not our cup of tea.

The solyanka was terrible, it just tasted like ketchup!! Fries were very tasty but unfortunately the ribs were not marinated, the meat was not marinated with pepper or salt, only the marinade was smeared on top of the ribs.

Just OK. The two of us were here during the week and got a table with a short-term reservation. The table and chairs were very uncomfortable, and very annoying marching music played in the background (all evening long). Overall, the dining room looks a bit run down and outdated. The service was friendly and prompt, drinks and food came quickly. My starter (potato soup with sausage) was relatively tasteless and tasted like a ready-made product. The main course (suckling pig) was fried to perfection, but also tasteless. The sauce tasted like a ready-made product, as did the sauerkraut. All in all, I was full, but it was by no means a pleasure. I think in the future there should be a little more emphasis on quality and taste and less on speed and portions for tourists.

Exciting restaurant with delicious offers. Everything is trimmed to the 18th century, including the service staff. When it's full, it can be quite noisy due to the narrow basement corridors. But the food is definitely worth it.
