Ich habe 7 Euro für 0.4 Liter Cola light bezahlt obwohl 0.5 Liter 6.20 Euro kosten. Unabhängig davon das die Preise im Lokal ohnehin sehr teuer sind, ist das gefühlt fast schon Abzocke. Wir kommen nicht wieder!

We had the pleasure of spending Easter Monday at the Pulverturm restaurant in Dresden - and it was a wonderful experience all around! The location is hard to beat: Located right next to the Frauenkirche, the restaurant offers a wonderful setting for both visitors to Dresden and locals. We particularly liked the outdoor seating from which you can watch the hustle and bustle on the square - perfect for a relaxing afternoon. A real highlight is the impressive cellar vault, which impresses with a lot of charm and atmosphere. The service was consistently friendly, attentive and warm. You felt welcome and in good hands from the first moment. The food was excellent - tasty, lovingly prepared and made from the best ingredients. You can't find quality like this everywhere! A small but nice detail: there were fresh flowers in the toilets - that shows how much love and care goes into the work here. We had a wonderful Easter Monday in the Pulverturm and will definitely come back on our next visit to Dresden. Absolute recommendation!

The gentleman who led us to the table was friendly, but he was so rushed that it was hard to keep up - the feeling of a welcome arrival didn't really set in. The appearance was accompanied by a rather unpleasant smell, which could have been avoided in a gastronomic environment. Without wanting to get personal: a fresher appearance would certainly not have harmed the professionalism. The ambience was less surprising because of its coziness than because of its darkness - dark, almost a little oppressive. Anyone hoping for a warm, inviting atmosphere might feel out of place here. Our waitress stood out positively: a blonde lady with glasses and a ponytail, who left the best impression of the evening with her friendliness and attentiveness. The service was quick and structured, the food was on the table quickly. Culinary: mixed with clear bright spots. The dumpling was excellent – ​​big, fluffy, with good flavor. The red cabbage was also convincing. The roulade, on the other hand, was too dry and the Burgundy sauce served with it was thin and flat in taste - no trace of Burgundy. The roast roast was convincing across the board: the meat was juicy and tender, the crust was a real highlight - plentiful, wonderfully crispy and perfectly fried. Here too, the sauce remained aromatic and a bit too thin, but the meat itself almost made this flaw forgotten.

We came here for lunch, and the service was warm and polite — the staff were friendly and made an effort to ensure we had a pleasant experience. We ordered two portions of solyanka soup, Marinierter ribs, a dish called Lieblingsgericht, and quark dumplings (syrniki), listed as a main course on the menu. The presentation was beautiful, everything looked appetizing and well-prepared. The food was cooked properly, but the flavors didn’t really suit our personal taste — not because it was bad, just not quite what we were expecting. The quark dumplings were especially sweet, and we didn’t enjoy them at all. A small but odd detail: in the restroom, there was so much toilet paper that it was even hanging on the coat rack, yet there was no soap available to wash your hands — a strange and not very pleasant oversight. The bill for lunch was €90. Overall, this restaurant stands out for its original atmosphere and immersive interior. So the ambience is great, beautiful vault, well furnished. The staff responds to special requests if children should eat earlier, e.g. The food was very tasty and extensive. Would love to dine here again. Table was free on weekdays without reservation. A live musician also rounded off the evening. ;-)

A journey back to the Middle Ages. The rustic, cozy atmosphere in the vaulted cellar invites you to linger. The waiters are super nice, have a charming sense of humor and the dishes are incredibly tasty, prepared according to grandma's home cooking. Highly recommended. Bon appetit.

The food was very good and even convinced me as a “non-fish fan”. The only small point of criticism is the sometimes very loud music played by two guitar players, which at times was so loud that it was no longer possible to communicate. All in all a successful evening. We'd love to come back.

Very cool cellar restaurant with a unique ambience. Went there for dinner and sat a little away from the hustle and bustle in the wine warehouse, where it wasn't quite as loud. Especially in the Powder Tower itself, the conversation noise level was "lots of people".... The food tasted delicious. The entertainment program with a magician and a king leaving the table also fit well into the lovingly furnished vaulted cellar. Be sure to reserve!

We had dinner at the Pulverturm for my birthday dinner as part of a trip to Dresden. There really is something for everyone on the menu. We had the stuffed sweet potato and the sauerbraten with raisin sauce. Both very tasty! The egg pie for dessert was excellent! The service was also excellent. The atmosphere was something special. We spontaneously went to the restaurant in the evening and got a table without any problem. It is a large restaurant and rustically decorated. The service was friendly and accommodating. The drinks and food were served quickly. My dish, the sauerbraten with dumpling and apple red cabbage, was very tasty and the portion was completely sufficient. The musical entertainment at the end was a successful conclusion to the evening!!!

The service and the location are good, but the prices for the food are far too high. Half a sweet potato with salad for around 20€ or a "couscous bowl", which is a relatively simple salad with couscous, also for just under 20€ are disproportionate.

After ordering the main course, we decided to ask an employee about a starter. We specifically asked if a particular entree contained no meat, to ensure it did not contain pork and that my wife could eat it. The employee indicated that the chosen starter was vegetarian. While eating the starter we started to have doubts about what we had been served. We asked the employee who brought the main course what the spread with the bread was. He indicated that this was pork fat. We then put the starter aside and asked this employee if the main course my wife ordered really did not contain pork. This employee indicated that there was no pork in my wife's dish. When we received the bill from yet another employee, we explained the situation about the starter and indicated that we were shocked by the situation. This employee then indicated that her main course, the beef roulade, also contained pork. Apparently they put pork in everything without mentioning it on the menu or answering questions and the customer should just know this. No apologies were made and the employee was mainly concerned about the amount of the bill. We calmly stated that before ordering the starter we had explicitly asked whether it was vegetarian and that this had been handled incorrectly and that otherwise we would not have ordered this dish. The employee walked away angry and returned with a new bill that was thrown in front of me. Once again without any form of apology or empathy. My wife indicated this and then left angry. The employee mumbled something unintelligible in German and did not want to repeat his statements. In short: go here if you a) want to be a pig in everything or b) think your answers to questions are overrated. Don't go here if you don't want your evening to be ruined by an unpleasant surprise that you didn't see coming, even though you've done everything you can to avoid it. If you have allergies, please know that you should not rely on the knowledge or 'expertise' of the staff!

Na bestelling van het hoofdgerecht besloten we alsnog een medewerker te vragen naar een voorgerecht. We vroegen expliciet of een bepaald voorgerecht geen vlees bevatte, om zeker te zijn dat het geen varkensvlees bevatte en dat mijn vrouw dit kon eten. De medewerker gaf aan dat het gekozen voorgerecht vegetarisch was. Tijdens het eten van het voorgerecht begonnen we te twijfelen over hetgeen we voorgeschoteld hadden gekregen. Aan de medewerker die het hoofdgerecht kwam brengen, vroegen we wat het smeersel bij het brood was. Hij gaf aan dat dit varkensvet was. We hebben het voorgerecht vervolgens terzijde geschoven en aan deze medewerker gevraagd of het hoofdgerecht dat mijn vrouw had besteld echt geen varkensvlees bevatte. Deze medewerker gaf aan dat er geen varkensvlees in het gerecht van mijn vrouw zat. Toen we de rekening van weer een andere medewerker kregen, legden we de situatie over het voorgerecht uit en gaven we aan geschrokken te zijn van de situatie. Deze medewerker gaf vervolgens aan dat óók in haar hoofdgerecht, de runderrollade, varkensvlees zat. Blijkbaar stoppen ze varkensvlees overal in zonder dat op de kaart te vermelden of op navraag te beantwoorden en behoort de klant dit gewoon te weten. Er zijn geen excuses geboden en de medewerker maakte zich vooral zorgen over de hoogte van de rekening. We hebben rustig aangegeven dat we voor onze bestelling van het voorgerecht expliciet gevraagd hadden naar of het vegetarisch was en hier incorrect mee om was gegaan en dat we anders dit gerecht niet hadden besteld. De medewerker liep hierop boos weg en kwam terug met een nieuwe rekening die voor mij neer werd gegooid. Nogmaals zonder enige vorm van excuus of empathie. Mijn vrouw gaf dit aan is vervolgens boos weggegaan. De medewerker bromde nog wat onverstaanbaars in het Duits en wilde zijn uitspraken niet herhalen. Kortom: ga hier vooral heen als je a) overal varken in wil hebben of b) je antwoorden op vragen ook maar overrated vindt. Ga hier vooral niet heen als je niet wilt dat je avond verpest wordt door een onaangename verrassing die je niet zag aankomen, ondanks dat je alles hebt gedaan om dat te voorkomen. Heb je allergieën, weet dan dat je niet op de kennis of 'expertise' van het personeel moet vertrouwen!

We dined there on December 28th, 2024. The ambience has to be said, wonderful. But: 1. The waitress has already made mistakes when ordering, be it with the drinks, main course, dessert. 2. A solyanka in advance for just €8, small bowl with 1 slice of lemon in it and 1 teaspoon of Frech cream. Really thickened, tastes more like grade 3 and lukewarm. Absolute impudence. Main course -> children were served last, I have never experienced anything like that in my life. I had suckling pig myself... The meat itself, okay...but really little. To do this, the burnt and completely hard skin of the pig is added. Mustard 1 teaspoon, no more. SWEET sauerkraut with it, which I don't think is possible at all. Others had goose leg...which was more like a little guy, hardly any meat on it, for €32. Dessert: Children were initially ignored, then the order was re-rolled in the kitchen and everyone didn't get what was ordered. An espresso with 1 piece of egg pie was also ordered... the espresso arrived, the cake was at the table after 10 minutes after asking twice. Absolute disaster!!!! Never again..... Price-performance ratio ZERO. not justified at all. The customer's opinion is accepted by the waiter/waitress without moving. But the artists performing there deserve great praise and do an excellent job.

The New Year's Eve menu 2024 was simply outstanding in every way! It all started with a very nice reception. Afterwards you were seated in a friendly manner and from then on you could enjoy the wonderful and unique ambience. The room and the tables were lovingly decorated and you could immediately feel at home. The service was great, the food was excellent and the humorous musical interludes rounded the whole thing off very well! The acoustics in this location are also excellent. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, you could have a great conversation and it was never too loud or tiring! Absolutely recommended!

My second visit to the Pulverturm Restaurant after 10 years. There is a point deduction for not enough food on the plate. I had the suckling pig for around €27.90........just because it's located at the Frauenkirche, it doesn't have to be so outrageously expensive in combination with not much on the plate. The taste was just okay. Unfortunately my brownie was a bit dry. The service was quick and friendly. Ambience is still so beautifully rustic. Unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed. I remembered it differently.

What can you say? Very nice atmosphere, really unique. The service from the waiters was very good. The kitchen also has five stars. For our dishes we had dumplings, which were definitely homemade, as was the bread, suckling pig and knuckle. If we are in Dresden again, we will definitely visit this restaurant. The two gentlemen musicians topped the evening again after dinner.

We really liked the ambience and the server who took over half way through for our part of the restaurant was very kind. We had two beef dishes which were pretty yum. This streusel was meh. Was expecting something a bit different. I’m sure with a better start, I would give the restaurant 4 starts.

I went there because there were a lot of reviews from Koreans.... It took a very long time to order and I made eye contact, but even when I called him out, he ignored me. I was supposed to approach the Germans first, take their order, and call another server if they were in separate areas, but they ignored me and I felt really bad. Even when I asked for a receipt, they didn't give it to me even after time had passed, so I went and told them in person and they brought it to me. Terrible service, very rude when you try to ask something... we had to wait a long time for the waiter because there is a lack of staff when the room is fully occupied, which seems to be normal on weekends. It was impossible to change the table even though other tables were free and no one was sitting there during our entire stay, when I asked why I got the answer "because no". For 4 people we paid about 120 € with main course and drinks.

Very tasty and very friendly. Great themed restaurant. Price performance ratio is good. Super attentive staff. Fast friendly service. Only the large hall is really acoustically borderline. As soon as several tables are occupied, it is incredibly loud and the lighting is very bright, which particularly irritated me as I wear glasses because the light comes from above. The spots shine directly in your face.
