Great location with a rustic ambiance. Unfortunately, the billing service was very inaccurate. It wasn't as if it was a big deal. It can happen sometimes (over €50 difference). Otherwise: food, drinks, prices, everything was OK.

I remembered the restaurant as being much better. It was somehow more welcoming. One server was totally annoyed and let us know it. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste what I had imagined. The price wasn't right. Everything was too expensive, especially the drinks.

We visited this particularly lovingly designed restaurant with a tour group. Several wheelchair users were also in our group. The staff were well-prepared for us and provided prompt and friendly service. A recommendation for both groups and people with disabilities.

In good weather, you can enjoy Saxon cuisine with a view of the Frauenkirche, accompanied by very friendly service. But the huge interior is also worth noting, with its meticulously decorated interior, including the restroom...👍

The food was okay, but rather below average. Here, you're mainly paying for the location. The dumplings were tasteless—no salt? Overall, the food was quite lukewarm—almost cold.

The service is exceptionally friendly and always helpful. Prices and quality are more than fair. The originality is evident inside. Here you'll find unusual and sometimes surprising information about Dresden. So be sure to go inside and take a closer look at the interior.

Oh my goodness. The salad with chicken strips is absolutely terrible. And it costs over €20. When clearing the table, no one even asked if there was anything wrong. Oh well, you learn from your mistakes.

The food is very delicious. The recommended menu is Dresdner Batzen. If anyone comes to visit Dresden, I recommend coming to eat at this restaurant.

We were in Dresden again, and that included dining at Dresden 1900. This time, we had Dresdner Batzen (a kind of sausage) and Sauerbraten (a kind of sauerbraten). The Eisbecher ice cream (8.9 EUR) and the Eistee-Pfirsich peach iced tea (6.2 EUR) were both delicious. The outdoor seating on the first floor is a great place to relax on a hot day. Once you're seated, a server will come around to take your order. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, and the iced tea wasn't too sweet, making it a great drink when you're thirsty. A separate ice cream menu is available. (It would be nice if they changed the photos on the ice cream menu. The actual ice cream looks prettier.)

Beautiful location, with a clear view of the Frauenkirche from the terrace. The staff is friendly and helpful, but things can get a bit hectic sometimes. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable for the location.

My wife's goulash with red cabbage was delicious. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was nothing for me. It tasted strongly of frying oil and was very thin. You have to accept that at a snack bar; it shouldn't be served in a restaurant.

Whenever we're in Dresden, we go there for breakfast and sometimes even for dinner. Very friendly service, great location!

The food was delicious and the drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit long for the ice cream... The portions are huge. Unfortunately, I have a small stomach and couldn't finish it. But it's great that they serve such large portions. Luckily, they had to-go boxes. Great place. Highly recommended (local guide ;) )

We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection and the service was very friendly. The Christmas atmosphere was simply beautiful. We'll be back next time we visit Dresden :)

A place with beautiful decor, I really liked the atmosphere. The tram car standing on the patio does the job. The place is clean and smells nice, the toilets are cleaned and well-appointed. And that's all I liked, but two stars. However, a restaurant should primarily attract and delight with food and secondarily with service. And we decided to eat pork knuckle with my wife, after all we are in Germany in a country where pork knuckle is a national treasure prepared in 1000 ways. We ordered pork knuckle in two ways, one prepared in cabbage and the other baked in beer, both were served with the same Man, which sours the cabbage. I have never eaten such a bad, poorly seasoned and served so senselessly pork knuckle. The pork knuckle had no taste, the cabbage dominated the whole dish, even though these were two dishes, they tasted the same, cabbage seasoned with vinegar. To top it all off, we got sachets of sauces, a sachet of mustard and ketchup. I felt like I was at MCDONALD'S. However, I expect such cheapness at McDonald's, but here it surprised me. Finally, I will say that the cabbage still made me burp for two days after that unfortunate dinner, and my visits to the toilet became more frequent. P.S. The service was no different from the meal, so tell me for yourselves what it was like.

Absolutely brilliant. We're here today with our seminar group. The food and drinks are delicious. The service is absolutely top-notch and friendly. The oldest restaurant in town, always worth recommending 👍

We got a seat quickly, but then unfortunately had to wait a long time to order, even though there were almost no other people in the restaurant. The staff thought it was more important to sort the cutlery. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Well... the food afterwards was worth the wait and made up for the initial annoyance.

The ambiance outside is quite nice. The food isn't great. It took a very long time to arrive. The waiters are very slow.

We went there for coffee, and the cake was truly delicious. The only downside was that not all of the drinks were brought to us on the day of the meal. Instead, the iced chocolate was served after we'd already finished the cake, even though we had waited for it.

A lovely restaurant with friendly staff. A little showmanship from the conductor :-) We went for the Whitsun brunch. Personally, we felt the selection was a bit limited. Hardly any fresh fruit (the fruit salad was constantly empty), and the cereal and dried fruit selection was limited. The hot dishes were fine, but not overwhelming. Unfortunately, there are waiters who are only allowed to take orders and those who are only allowed to clear away. That's really difficult. I understand that when it comes to paying, but anyone can really take orders. The atmosphere is great, lots to look at and be amazed by. I can say that it's absolutely fine for the price, but there are a few things that could be improved.

We were there yesterday morning for the breakfast buffet. We received a very friendly and warm welcome, were immediately seated, and were able to head straight to the buffet. Everything you could wish for was there, from fresh cold cuts to a cheese platter, eggs in various styles, juices, coffee, tea, a good selection of bread and rolls, as well as salads, cereals, and fruit. We liked it so much that we immediately reserved a table for dinner. There was an a la carte menu, including the potato soup, which is highly recommended, and the tomato soup. This was followed by the trout and the train driver's platter. Both were perfectly prepared and truly delicious. Any requests for changes were accommodated immediately, so thank you very much for that. The ambiance is quaint, but really great and very clean. A really great team in the shop. Highly recommended. P.S. And you can even learn Saxon dialect there 😁😉

We went there on several days for dinner and coffee, and each time it was a pleasure to be there. Cathrin's smile and friendly manner made our time wonderful, and the conversations with her were entertaining. The food (pork knuckle and liver, as well as the ice cream) are also highly recommended. We'll be back.

Not only did we eat exceptionally well and at fair prices, but "Catrin" served us so kindly that we came back again today. Thank you for the relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of sightseeing.

A pleasant and original place to sit right in the center of Dresden. Excellent food (although I agree that it is a bit too salty for my taste), nice service. Perhaps the prices are a bit higher, but that is in line with the historical center of the city. I definitely recommend it, especially for fans of transportation.

Hier wird Dresden gelebt. Tolles Essen, noch besseres Personal und ein ein einmaliges Ambiente laden zum bleiben ein. Unsere Servicemitarbeiterin hatte immer einen coolen Spruch auf Lager und die bestellten Sachen kamen schnell. Wer sich die sächsischen Erfindungen ansehen möchte, der findet im Restaurant 2 Tafeln mit eben diesen. Sehr informativ und gut gemacht. Eine Straßenbahn, die Helene von 1898, steht ebenfalls im Restaurant und man kann in ihr sogar speisen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Sonntagsbruch.😊

The size of the restaurant wasn't really visible from the outside. The food was okay. The service friendly. But in the end it's unfortunately not enough for 5 stars at this price level.

We didn't have a reservation, received a very friendly welcome, received attentive service, and enjoyed a delicious meal. We were struck by the positive attitude of the staff. Above all, we were impressed by "our" Conny—her thoughtful and competent manner.

- The Dresden Burger is not recommended – frozen convenience meat. The meat salad is also poorly prepared from a fast-food restaurant. However, the atmosphere is great and the service was friendly.

Very good and down-to-earth restaurant. We took advantage of the good weather and sat outside in front of the restaurant with a direct view of the Frauenkirche and the entire square (so I can't comment on the inside area). A few street musicians with violins and guitars provided a pleasant background sound. Thank you for that too if you read this 😊 The restaurant has a beautiful menu with pictures and written in the Saxon dialect for the food and another for drinks. The service staff is a well-coordinated team. One person takes orders and coordinates them (thanks Conny), the other people support them with setting, serving and clearing away. Everyone was very friendly and attentive without even the slightest hint of intrusiveness. Really very pleasant. The food is sumptuous, very tasty and carefully prepared. (In the pictures you can see "Dresdner Batz'n", "Saxon ice cream sundae" on which the waffles are already missing 🤫 and there is a herbal schnapps in the conductor's hat) (Quick information about Salzburg: here you can also get excellent and technically correct fried potatoes 🤫) The prices are in the lower middle range and the quality is really a bargain here. Conclusion: A very satisfied and happy seminar group left this restaurant that evening. And for my part, I can highly recommend the "1900" on the Frauenkirchen when the weather is nice and would be happy to come back if I get the chance 👍👍👍👍

Unfortunately my expectations were not met. As a private group we were only given the small menu. Disorganized staff Potato soup was lukewarm. The taste was ok Captain was for disaster Dry schnitzel with what felt like warmed up fries... absolutely dry. The ambience would have been nice... But as I said, that's my experience and my taste.

Everything was delicious, pleasant and friendly waiters. We ordered soup, sausage with sauerkraut and some kind of meat and potatoes. And another bread basket.

Were there twice. Saxon ice cream sundae to fear. That doesn't taste good! Lillet tastes good. Why? Hardly any Lillet, but there is syrup in it. Conductor girl - honestly? 8.90 for 3 standard scoops with cream and supposedly cherries? They were thickened in gelatin and it was terrible. Then you pour something high-proof over it that tastes bitter and...? The cream flakes. You know that! Such a “creation” must not be offered, especially for money. Service mostly friendly. Toilets okay. Seating is disastrously narrow and maybe even set up smoking areas outside. No matter where you sit, every drink, ice cream or food is laced with nicotine.

A very charming restaurant right in the tourist center of Dresden, behind the reconstructed cathedral. An interesting themed space that even has an old train carriage inside. Good beer and black beer options. Worth it.

We were there for breakfast. The atmosphere and the staff are great! Unfortunately, the breakfast is very expensive for what you get and the rolls taste very similar to baked rolls from the supermarket. Unfortunately we cannot recommend breakfast.

On Easter Saturday we were at your house for a family celebration. We were warmly welcomed and given the table we wanted. The menu contains something for everyone. Only the vegan tagliatelle posed a mystery. The dish is described as vegan, but Grana Padano is served with it, which is by no means vegan. Otherwise the food was very tasty, the service could perhaps have been a little more attentive in one place or another. The toilets should also be checked from time to time. Unfortunately we were unlucky that there was no paper left in 2 toilets. Despite the small deficiencies, we had a lovely evening.

A great restaurant in the heart of this beautiful city. We will definitely come back here. Mega delicious German cuisine prepared with love. And also the warm service, who always has a relaxed saying on their lips. The whole team is organized, in a good mood and gives the establishment a certain spice and soul. The beer is super tasty and drinkable. I don't think I need to add anything more to this charming ambience 🤗👍🏻

To recommend the service is good and not a long wait for good food.

We went for a drink at Dresden 1900 on Saturday. Since we've been here several times, we opted for something familiar and weren't disappointed. We were greeted warmly at reception and placed in a quieter corner with our baby (you can't imagine from the outside how much space there is inside). The service was also very friendly and on point. So we received our order shortly after we took it - and the restaurant was very busy. We would love to come back and stay a little longer. :)

IT'S NOT WORTHY, SHOULD AVOID! Just had this breakfast this morning. As an international tourist, be honest, the breakfast BUFFET doesn't taste so good, furthermore, which buffet doesn't include coffee ??? Buffet means all you can eat and drink OK! Ham are a bit sour, sausage are very dry, there are not so many choice actually. AND the waitress also should remind clearly coffee have to be paid, 2nd juice as well, not only say that only orange/apple juice included. This restaurant plays the word game with people. Well, 23€ instead of 15,99€, i will consider it's super luxury breakfast buffet, 15,99€ no coffee 😂? the quality NEED BIG IMPROVEMENT, SERVICE TOO. Not convinced at all in terms of the food quality, quantity and the price. In the end, the waitress said to me you can write email to my boss 😂 is it a joke ? Dresden style of joke, you should feel shame the coffee lady. The most awful breakfast experience ever, no honest, no friendly, and definitely no tasty ! The restaurant was recommended to us. The atmosphere is quite nice, there are normal chairs and old train benches, which is something new. The service was nice and courteous. My partner had the Dresdner Batzen and was satisfied (food rating 2.3-2.7, good but not particularly special, quantity sufficient). I had a vegetarian meal. The menu read: "vegan zucchini steak, marinated with mint and fried in olive oil, with colorful vegetables and herb triplets." In the picture you can see what came: unseasoned jacket potatoes (because of herbs), fried zucchini slices (no trace of mint), unseasoned steamed vegetables and a surprise tomato sauce. At €19.90 (and I'm taking the top location into account here) it's simply far too expensive for something that any kitchen novice can manage. I was quite disappointed and it doesn't correspond to what is picturesquely shown on the menu. It was edible but quite bland, even with the salt and the tomato sauce. Quantity was enough for me. I would not recommend the dish to any vegetarian and would advise groups of meat eaters and vegetarians to go to another restaurant.

The Dresden 1900 is really worth seeing and has something of a museum gastronomy feel about it. The service is really great and super friendly and quick. The cucumber salad is highly recommended!!! I had the pork steak with seasoned meat, but I didn't really like the steak 🥩. My friend had the conductor's plate and it was really tasty. At the end we had two conductor's hats 4cl and that was really good. They cost 91.00 euros for everything, but you can treat yourself sometimes.

Possui uma temática visual de estradas de ferro, então muito do design possui essa referência, tanto na decoração das paredes, nos menus e até em um pitoresco bonde situado dentro do restaurante As atendentes foram simpáticas e prestativas. After today's Sunday brunch I can only rate the food on offer. There was definitely something for every taste and everything was delicious. A big compliment for the service! Friendliness and flexibility are top and, above all, a location that you can use with a small child (2 years old) with a clear conscience. We can only recommend the restaurant, the price-performance ratio as well as the service and, above all, the taste of the food was great. Small but really small minus, there was too much ice in the cocktail.
