Schönes Restaurant, netter und zuvorkommender Service, absolut geniale Pizza, weshalb wir einen Tag später nochmal fix eine Pizza to go geholt haben. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren gestern zum zweiten Mal dort. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Essen (in unserem Fall Pizza) sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Eine Reservierung wirst empfohlen.

Sale e Pepe ist ein nettes, klassisches italienisches Restaurant der mittleren Preisklasse. Die Atmosphäre ist eher gemütlich und familiär als modern und übertrieben. Ich hatte Gamberoni alla Griglia bestellt und sie komplett aufgegessen, ohne auch nur eine Schale (oder die Zitrone) übrig zu lassen – ein Beweis dafür, wie köstlich sie waren!

Ein Restaurant, dss scheinbar keine Gäste möchte. Nie geht jemand ans Telefon, auch nicht, wenns geöffnet ist! ( die Nr. ist nicht vergeben 🙈 )Wäre gern mit 10 Personen dort essen gegangen...Gehen wir halt woanders hin!!!

Gemütliches Ristorante mit Familiärem Flair. Vorzügliche Speisen und erlesene Weine. Immer wieder ein Besuch wert. 👍🇮🇹👍

Ich kann die vielen 5 Sterne Bewertungen leider nicht nachvollziehen. Wir haben vorne neben der Bar gesessen, es ist dort sehr laut und wuselig. Zudem riecht es sehr stark nach Essen. Klamotten müssen wir alle waschen. Der bestellte Mista Salat war ein einziger Reinfall. 9 Euro für so einen ärmlichen Salat. Was gar nicht geht für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse ist Bier aus der Flasche. Selbst einfachere Lokale haben gezapftes. Die 2 Sterne gibt es nur für die nette Bedienung und die gute Pizza. Allerdings hatte ich Eierschalen drauf, eine Grappa o.ä. als Entschuldigung hätte ich schon erwartet. Schade eigentlich, die Erwartungen waren echt hoch, wurden aber leider nur zum Teil erfüllt. Wir kommen nicht wieder

Total schön wir waren heute am Valentinstag da obwohl sie ausgebucht waren haben wir trotzdem einen Platz bekommen das essen ein traum und die Leute total lieb freundlich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen ich persönlich werde nun da öfters hingehen

Kleine Portionen, mein Mann musste trotz Anmerkung der Portionsgröße nach sorbas noch eine Currywurst essen da er nicht satt war Zwei grosse Gruppen da Sehr laut , viel Verzögerungen Muscheln Nudeln Pizza okay

Highly recommended. Italian classics, prepared the original way, and simply delicious. Pizzas with unusual toppings, fish, meat, and desserts—everything delicious and fresh.

The Italian ambiance was perfect, but it was a bit noisy, and the table lamp meant that a candle or tealight wouldn't fit on the table, which would have certainly made it more beautiful. The food was delicious, the staff was extremely friendly, and they even asked me if I wanted to take the leftovers home with me. Highly recommended for a nice meal. Perhaps not ideal for a romantic getaway.

It was delicious. We had no problem getting a seat on a Wednesday evening, but it was already quite full. The service was super friendly and quick. Our dog even got a water ☺️ And my pasta! The best pasta I've had in a long time! We'll definitely be back.

A very nice Italian restaurant in the middle of Eickel, a district of Herne. Booking a table is recommended as all the free tables are taken very quickly after opening. There were 10 of us here and we got a nice table in the garden. The service was always very nice and friendly and kept coming to ask if we wanted anything else and if we were satisfied. Everyone was very satisfied with the food they ordered 👍 a thumbs up, we'll be coming back here again and again.

Ordered pizza to pick up. Box opened. Unfortunately, it was very sparingly topped and didn't really taste good. But hunger surpassed it. I had to look for simple tomato sauce, a bit of tuna and double cheese. Too bad!

.. everything used to be better. This is absolutely true for this pizzeria. The pizza I ordered was soggy on the inside and very greasy. Anyone sitting in the front area will be heavily smoked by the open kitchen. The service after dinner leaves a lot to be desired, because if you stay until shortly after 9 p.m. you will be surprised. The guest is now signaled that they want to close, even though the pizzeria should be open until 10 p.m. The glasses are cleared away without being asked if you would like to drink anything else. Tables and chairs are loudly pushed apart and dragged through the store. Conclusion: Politeness and friendliness are very fake, la dolce vita works differently!

Mein Mann und ich wurden sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen und zum Tisch im hinteren Teil des Restaurants geführt. Die Speisenkarte wurde umgehend gereicht und die Getränke kamen schnell. Meine Himbeerschorle war leider mit sehr viel Eis versehen, was das Getränk noch wässriger machte, als es ohnehin schon war. Gegessen haben wir beide die Fischplatte, die reichlich ausfiel, was bei einem Preis von 29,95 € allerdings auch sein sollte. Die Preise für Getränke z. B. 0,2 l Lambrusco 5,90 € oder 0,5 l von diesen nicht gerade hochwertigen Wein für 10,90 € oder auch für eine Saftschorle von 4,90 € empfinden wir als grenzwertig. Natürlich wissen wir, dass die Gastronomen in erster Linie an Getränken verdienen, allerdings sollte man die Preise nicht überziehen.

Since I visit Italy regularly and love Italian food more than anything, I'm always looking for good Italian restaurants in the Ruhr area. This restaurant, which has a 4.7 rating and appears to be run by an Italian family, was last on my list because I was forced to find something in the Gelsenkirchen area. Ambiance: The ambience is okay. A bit rustic, cool and outdated but you can see the effort to make it nice. Food: I'm just at a loss for words, I don't know when or if I've ever had such bad pizza in Germany. In fact, the dough and the consistency reminded me a bit of my mother's very first attempts at pizza in the 1990s. I decided on a Pizza Salmone and was really hungry - but it was so inedible that I left it and went home hungry. Of course I could have sent it back to get a new one. In fact, the pizza was so bad that I had no hope of getting something better. The pizza had a strangely thick dough that apparently wasn't cooked through. There was an incredible amount of cheese on the pizza - but it wasn't mozzarella but Gouda!!!!! Gouda!!! on an Italian pizza! It was the purest layer of fat. But the Gouda was also apparently a heavily processed industrial product. I estimate a bulk package of pre-grated cheese. Because he had no taste whatsoever. Like all pizza. It wasn't even salty and even though I answered the question "with garlic?" with "but really good!", there was no garlic on the pizza. Despite all the fat, it just doesn't taste like anything. All you could taste was the bland, thick and unfinished dough and the fat of the cheese. Unfortunately there was very little spinach and salmon on the pizza and when I had a piece of salmon that tasted really noticeable, it was the last sign to leave the pizza. Service: The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I was initially very impressed with the good service. For this very reason, I didn't want to make a big scene and just left my pizza behind when I went out for a moment. On the way out she asked me if she should pack me the pizza. Since this was happening in front of all the other guests, I just said no. She asked if something was wrong but as I said I didn't want to make a scene I just said the pizza had too much cheese and walked out. The behavior afterwards really amazed and shocked me. I sat in the restaurant for another 20 minutes before paying. During this time, no one came up with the idea of ​​coming to me again (after I had sent back an entire pizza). Instead the bill was presented with the entire pizza. I have actually never encountered anything like this in any restaurant in the world. And that's ultimately the reason why I'm writing a review. Probably not that many people go to an Italian restaurant in Wanne Eickel and those who do have no idea about Italian food and like it Germanized. I definitely took this into account. Nevertheless, in the end, I have never eaten such bad pizza in my life, anywhere in the world. By the way, my companion's spaghetti seemed to be of poor quality and was definitely not al dente.

We have rarely seen such friendly staff. Great family business. We feel very comfortable every time. If you don't reserve in time, you're out of luck 😁. The dishes are all very, very tasty. Haven't had any complaints yet. I hope we can visit this great restaurant for a long time 🥰😄

We have been to this cozy Italian restaurant several times. The food, whether meat dishes, pizzas, pasta or dessert, was simply delicious, the portion sizes were completely sufficient and the prices were more than reasonable. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout. The atmosphere is authentic and very cozy. The restaurant has more than earned an unreserved recommendation and we will continue to make use of their warm hospitality in the future.

We have always enjoyed going to this restaurant, but unfortunately not only the service but also the food has deteriorated. If you reserve a table for 6 p.m., you will be forced to leave at 7:30 p.m. at the latest. The service is just annoyed and the portions of pasta can only be viewed as an appetizer and if you mention it, it is ignored. It's a real shame, but that hasn't just happened to us, so it was definitely our last visit here.

Pizza thick crust and poorly topped. Lasagna, well you really don't have to eat 3 of them to be full. Everything is much too hectic... eat quickly and then please go and wait for the next ones. Never again

Ein Traditionsrestaurant, ein wahrer Gewinn für Eickel, einen Italiener, den man hier nicht mehr missen möchte. Auch wenn ich kein Stammgast bin, so waren wir vom Service und den Speisen sehr angetan, es schmeckte alles hervorragend. Auch die Weine waren sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder und empfehlen gerne weiter.

Wir haben jetzt zum zweiten Male Pizza dort gegessen. Die Pizzen waren jedes Mal sehr teiglastig (Fläche nur zur Hälfte belegt) und zu fad. Bruschetta war dagegen sehr lecker.

Mit 4 erwachsenen und einem 7jährigen kind hier essen gewesen. Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher service, das kind bekam eine "kinderpizza", die nicht viel kleiner war als normal. Die vorspeisenplatte war sehr lecker, rumpsteak mit grüner pfeffersoße zart und schmackhaft ... auch die anderen pizzas lecker. Beim ambiente gebe ich einen stern weniger, weil der boden gefährlich glatt war ... es hatte draußen geregnet und unsere schuhsohlen waren feucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Das Sale e Pepe ist ein familiäres Restaurant, in dem mit Herz und frischen Zutaten echtes italienisches Essen zu einem fairen Preis serviert wird. Die Mitarbeiter sind nett und geben einem stets das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Hervorzuheben sind die ausgesprochen leckeren Pizzen, aber auch die hausgemachte Pasta ist authentisch und sein Geld wert. Wir sind froh, diese kleine Perle in Eickel gefunden zu haben. Da das Restaurant eher klein und sehr gefragt ist, lohnt es sich zu reservieren. Mitnahme ist ebenfalls möglich und funktionierte zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt selbst zum Beginn der Öffnungszeit ohne Warten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Meiner Meinung nach die beste Pasta der Stadt. Preis Leistung sehr gut! Leckeren Lambrusco! Tolles italienisches Lokal von einer italienischen Familie geführt. Das schmeckt man ❤️
