The food is simply outstanding every single time – a true delight! We first discovered Rosmarino in Herne through a 2-for-1 gourmet voucher and were particularly impressed by the meat dishes. After a few years' break, we returned: new staff, but still top quality and taste. Thank you for a wonderful gourmet evening!

This lively, Italian-inspired restaurant impresses with its striking architecture. The service is exceptionally attentive and charmingly professional, answering all questions about the menu. The variety of dishes is appealing, but the quality and preparation could be improved.

I attended two celebrations there: a wedding and a birthday breakfast. In my opinion, the venue is unsuitable for a wedding. The breakfast party was very good; the buffet was varied. However, small bowls for jam were missing.

This is our third time for the surprise menu, and it won't be the last. Everything is just perfect: the ambiance, the staff, and of course, the delicious food. I'm usually very, very picky and don't eat a lot of things, but that's never been the case at Rosmarino. I've even eaten feta cheese, even though I don't like it. The cooking is so delicious that everything tastes good and fits together perfectly.

We've celebrated our anniversary here for the past three years, and we always look forward to it. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food is simply delicious every time.

The food and service are truly excellent. There's a small outdoor terrace. Even though it faces the street, you won't be bothered by traffic noise, as it's quiet in the evenings.

Response to criticism: It's a shame...one of the dishes was regretted because of the porcini mushrooms (a mediocre comment from the waiter). Re-cooking overly salty dishes usually prevents everyone from eating at the same time, which should be possible during a shared dinner. I won't bother you with my presence any longer.

First of all, the service and ambiance are fantastic. You immediately feel at home and are served in a very friendly and professional manner. The food offers a very wide selection, and all the starters, main courses, and desserts were freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and tasted very good. A truly great restaurant, and it must be said that these are becoming increasingly rare these days. We'll definitely be coming back more often!

Thank you so much for the fantastic catering at my son's wedding. The food was exceptionally delicious, the guests loved it, and that made it an unforgettable celebration. The organization of the buffet before and during the reception was perfect. All of the bride and groom's wishes were met. It was wonderful! Thank you for everything!

We ate there with our family (8 people). Whether it was steak, pasta, appetizers, or the risotto, everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. No one had any complaints. The food is prepared quickly and doesn't take long to arrive. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is attentive. A definite recommendation!

We love visiting restaurants when the menu carousel is taking place in the Ruhr area. This year, we visited Rosmarino, among others. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to a beautifully set table. All the dishes were very tasty and freshly prepared. The menu carousel also includes a wine pairing. However, the server was a bit stingy when pouring the wine. After I ordered another glass, my companion's glass unfortunately remained empty. It was only refilled upon request. But that was the only negative point. As a small "compensation," the restaurant owner even offered us a nightcap without being asked. We really enjoyed the evening at the restaurant. We would gladly come back again.

We were there with a larger group—ages 55-69—and were seated on a worn-out couch. We've rarely had worse seating. The server wasn't very attentive, and we had to repeatedly ask for salt, pepper, or even drinks. The restaurant wasn't even half full for a Saturday, so there was plenty of time. The food was okay, but there were a few burnt spots. We finished our food and then quickly moved on to another restaurant, where we spent a few more pleasant hours. It's a shame the restaurant lost revenue from dessert and drinks, and none of our group wants to eat there again. Maybe we just had a bad day.

Pizza and pasta are delicious, I don't like the ambience that much, it's loud inside, there's the street outside. The service is nice, but special requests for pizza cannot be fulfilled for some reason. I wanted Bolognese sauce on the calzone, nothing more. Otherwise I would even come back.

I've been going there since 2008 and have always been very satisfied with the service, and the portions aren't children's plates. I have a regular seat there...where you sit higher up and it's not uncomfortable...I have an allergy myself...and I always say that something shouldn't go on my plate, and yet it still happens...no matter where I am...the order is written down correctly...but sometimes it's not read...so the food goes back and has to be corrected.

Great shop. We were treated to a menu carousel and warmly served. Fine, very tasty and beautifully presented food, harmonious wine accompaniment and great service. Modern yet cozy atmosphere, comfortable chairs, nice decoration and good location. We'd love to come back. Clear recommendation!

We had the carousel menu. Solid menu that has room for improvement. The soups could have been a little more fine-tuned, they were a little too thick, but tasted good. For the main course we had meat, good components, unfortunately the fillet was a little overcooked and the ham coat also lost its fitness. Service was very good. Drinks were replenished in abundance. Ambience very inviting.

Waiting forever, service inattentive, prices are outrageous for the portions. Overall, it seems disproportionate. A better alternative is the Antica Roma in Strünkede, where the price-performance ratio is right and everything is much more relaxed!

Vom ersten bis zum letzten Gang war jede Speise hervorragend – perfekt abgeschmeckt, liebevoll angerichtet und authentisch italienisch. Auch die Weinbegleitung hat wunderbar gepasst und das Erlebnis abgerundet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein, die Atmosphäre angenehm. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

We are frequent guests and always look forward to the casual and friendly atmosphere and the attentive and friendly team. The food is always tasteful and beautifully presented. Went for brunch for the first time last Sunday. Brunch was very good and filling. Always happy to come back and look forward to the next time.

We were there as part of the Menue Karussell. The ambience is modern and not overloaded. The service staff was very attentive and friendly, even though the restaurant was completely full. The individual courses were served to all 6 people at the same time. The dishes were tasty and attractively presented. What particularly struck us was that we were rarely served such hot main courses. We also find it very hospitable if the wine accompaniment to the menu can be replaced by soft drinks for drivers. Unfortunately, we also know this differently. Overall, it was a successful evening for us and we will definitely come back, even though we are not from Herne.

Waren heute zum ersten Mal im Rosmarino. Herzlichen Dank an meine Frau, die mir diesen schönen Nachmittag zum Geburtstag geschenkt hat. Nach einem freundlichen Empfang konnten wir einen sehr aufmerksamen und überaus freundlichen Service genießen, der eine wunderbare Einheit mit dem kulinarischen Teil gebildet hat. Jeder Gang beinhaltete zahlreiche Geschmackserlebnisse. Einziges Manko ist das Völlegefühl, das auch der leckere Pistazienlikör nicht lindern konnte. War halt so lecker, dass man auch mal die Kontrolle verlieren kann. Hervorzuheben ist auch, dass sich auch der Koch mit Erläuterungen am Service beteiligt hat. Hatten wir so auch noch nicht erlebt. Dem gesamten Team einen herzlichen Dank. 👌 Bis zum nächsten Mal!!

Wir waren im Rahmen des Menükarussells im Rosmarino. Es war von A bis Z spitze!! Wir hatten als Hauptgang unterschiedliche Variationen - Fisch/ Fleisch und vegetarisch. So lecker und kreativ. Der süsse Abschluss und der tolle herzliche und aufmerksame Service rundeten den Abend perfekt ab. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch. Auch die Pizzen und Pastagerichte sind super.

Very nice restaurant. The food is just great there. The waiter Francesco was really nice, friendly and accommodating. He served us until the end of our Christmas party, it was just really great how he did it. The other waiters were also super friendly and always there when you needed them. It was really fun. Really recommended.

It was a long wait for the food. My Carlzone was carelessly filled in the middle. With a little cheese, mushrooms and pressed ham. The rest was dough. In addition, according to the menu, Diet Coke is laxative if consumed in excess. A revision of the map is in order.

Wir verbrachten einen traumhaften Abend im Rosmarino. Es war wie ein Tag Urlaub in Italien. Es saßen an langen Tafeln im Restaurant und Terrasse . Den ganzen Abend gab es frische Speisen, ein Grillbuffet, Dessert , tolle Weine , italienische live Musik, Tanz, nette Gespräche. Ein riesen Lob an die Gastgeber und Team!! A wonderful place to enjoy Italian food. The dry aged beef is homemade and excellent! Extremely friendly staff, very accommodating, you feel very welcome as a guest. We sat on the outside terrace in bright sunshine, a little moment of happiness like a holiday!

Held our wedding reception here. Flower decorations, menu cards etc. were organized by the restaurant. We didn't have to worry about anything! Just come and eat :) Very courteous service, fair prices and the food was super delicious! We will definitely come back again!

First of all: we didn't take any photos because the mood and ambience were too nice! After a super eventful day we ended up at Rosmarino. We received a warm welcome, drinks arrived quickly and at a good temperature. The menu is well put together and there is something for everyone. I usually don't like eating pasta outside of home. My pasta was very good, tasted great and was very seasoned, with the right pinch of parmesan. My husband had wonderful saddle of veal in a grappa sauce, absolutely harmonious, portion was just right. At the end we shared a tiramisu, luckily it was with mascarpone! Great here too! We'll definitely be back! Price performance is right, you can enjoy food here.

We were a group of 10, which seemed to overwhelm the service. During the week, the restaurant is 60% full, waiting time for the first drink order is more than half an hour! There was no response to multiple requests to take the food order. Only after a complaint did an unfriendly waiter come to answer it. After almost 1.5 hours after ordering, we received some of the food. At the prices quoted there, you can expect different quality and performance. A huge disappointment. Addendum to feedback from the owner: 100% utilization, okay. Then some places are apparently not released for guests and are only decoration ;) It's a good thing that I can freely choose my restaurant, because no one in the group is drawn to Rosmarino anymore. This level of impudence, also in the form of the owner's comment on my review, just shows the ignorance and arrogant behavior, just like that day in the restaurant by the waiters. No acknowledgment of mistakes, no apology, only blame. And when I say that a waiter is unfriendly, it was my/our feeling and my honest opinion. But her reaction shows that she seems to have hit a nerve.

The glass was never allowed to be empty 🍷the boss himself came over and asked how it tasted. The ambience is great😍 Since you've probably invested in good soundproofing, you won't notice anything from the neighboring tables. For me 10 stars 🤩

The food is a 10 out of 10, rarely eaten so deliciously, as the kitchen delivers premium quality. Unfortunately the service was really not good. At the table next to us there were probably regular guests who had non-stop service to refill the wine and ask if everything was good and if anything else was needed. But we often had to wait for e.g. B reorder drinks and remind them 3 times that a drink is still missing. Good service looks a little different to me. We felt like second-choice guests... Even though we left almost €300 behind.

Es war noch sehr warm im Oktober, und wollten erstmal etwas trinken, eventuell eine Kleinigkeit essen. Es war nicht gut besucht, warum mussten wir 30 Minuten auf die Getränke warten? Dann kam mein Glas Wein,leider noch nicht einmal bis zum Strich 0,2l Ich fragte die freundliche junge Bedienung ob sie immer so knapp messen. Sie nahm das Glas mit, aber was dann passierte, machte meine Freundin und mich fassungslos! Es kam ein Kellner und meinte, es wäre so in Ordnung, und wollte mir dann doch nachschenken. Aus ca. 1 Meter Höhe, oh mein Gott, schenkte er nach. Dachte, hoffentlich keine Weinflecken auf meine Sachen. Der Chef stand in der Tür und hat uns beobachtet......Der Wein hatte nicht mehr die rose Farbe u nd schmeckte auch nicht so wie ich ihn kenne .Es erübrigt sich, daß wir nichts zu Essen bestellten, die Getränke nicht austranken, bezahlten und gingen..... guter Service?

Rosmarino has unfortunately lost its quality. We have been there many times over the last 10 years and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, we now have to say that it is no longer our store. Plates were dirty, the food was too salty (starter) and the main course (pasta de la casa) used to be really good and is now more of a snack level. It's a shame, we won't be coming anymore

Yesterday there were three girls who ate really well and really enjoyed meeting each other in a cozy atmosphere... We'll be back... so that we can maybe give it the last star...;-)

At first glance it looks quite chic, but the store reminds you more of a mix of boutique and disco than of a restaurant. If you take a closer look, you can see that everything is more deliberate than accomplished. Fails due to a lack of know-how and sensitivity in implementation - in service as well as in the kitchen. That's just how the owner seems - he likes to hear himself talk. Experience has shown that such people like to present themselves as better than they really are. In addition, the shop smelled of ammonia and in general some things that came from the kitchen no longer looked completely fresh or freshly prepared. All in all: price-performance ratio is not even remotely justified given the forced atmosphere and more appearance than reality. Down-to-earthness is out of place here, the entire concept is based solely on sales. Can only be rumors, but the staff are probably paid accordingly - a NOGO for me!
