Fratelli in Herne

I visited the Italian restaurant “Fratelli” again for lunch after a long time. As a starter I had mixed bruschetta, which was very good and tasty. The main course from the daily menu was gnocchi with liver and sage. Also good, but a bit potato-heavy. The atmosphere is pleasant and so is the service.

Everything is perfect, the chef is very caring, respectable and everything is perfect.

Cozy, very spacious environment, a warm welcome from the chef himself, so a little human attention is always nice. We ate very well, with a good Italian starter and a seafood risotto, a big thank you Cosimo Peccato not ho fatto la photo of the antipasto

Service was friendly. Carpaccio with truffles not particularly good. We were not impressed with the quality of the meat. Truffles were tasteless, porcini mushrooms were forgotten and then added. They were soggy and didn't taste good. Pizza was served just as we were having our appetizers. Pizza with shrimp and salmon was also soggy in the middle. Well documented. The restaurant didn't convince us. Price-performance ratio is not right here.

My husband and I had dinner at Fratelli on Saturday evening. Nice atmosphere with subtle Christmas decorations, super nice and attentive service and great Italian food and first-class wine. We were super satisfied.

Relatively quiet restaurant, was a little fresh in there. The food was fabulous and the portion filled you up. Service was okay, just a little hectic. I can recommend it.

Nice ambience and great design of the restaurant. Comfortable chairs and benches. Unfortunately the service was not satisfactory. The beer arrived at the table stale and some of the food was forgotten or produced incorrectly. Taste OK

2nd visit, again at lunchtime. Service was nice and friendly. Starter platter for 4 people was good, tasty, but also quite expensive at 48 euros. The main courses were good, the red chip for decoration didn't taste like anything. It had to be seasoned properly with salt and pepper. 1 dish came about 5 minutes later. Of 5 desserts, 2 were not available. The tartufo was a disgrace: a small scoop of ice cream, very full of ice crystals, some chocolate on the large square plate in which the spoon lay, garnished with 2 raspberries, one of which was no longer pretty. For €8.90 - it's not possible! Another minus point: only cash payment, no longer appropriate today!

Fine, very good Italian cuisine. Everything homemade and fresh. Nice tasteful atmosphere. The boss is very nice and a born host. We had a great evening with wonderful food and would love to come back…

Were there for the first time today and I can only recommend it to everyone. who would like to try Italian cuisine with an extraordinary taste experience. The atmosphere is very cozy, the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. And the chef knows how to pamper his guests.

If you want to eat a good chop you should make it yourself. When you go out to eat, you want to get something special that you wouldn't be able to do yourself. The mixed antipasti platter for two people gave us hope. But surprised? This happened to me at Fratelli with the fish stew. Freshness and taste excellent and the sauce.....mmmmmmmm. Are the other dishes also as tasty? I decided to test this.

Been there for the first time these days. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, the quality of the food is excellent, but the portions are a bit too small. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for our food. Otherwise nice staff on site, a real asset for Herner Bahnhofstr.

Nachdem schon bei der Vorbesprechung keiner etwas über den von mir vereinbarten Termin wusste, war es dann leider so, dass das an diesem Abend festgelegte Buffet für unsere Weinprobe beim Meinberg 1 Woche später nicht so war wie ursprünglich besprochen. Deswegen passte im Nachgang der vereinbarte Preis nicht zu dem gelieferten Buffet. Der junge an diesem Abend anwesende Kellner war überaus freundlich und hat einen guten Service gemacht.

Service war komplett überfordert, haben ewig gewartet, allein um Getränkewunsch abzugeben. Das Essen war überragend, so dass dies für einiges entschädigte.

By far one of the best addresses in Herne. Really well thought out concept.

The Fratelli restaurant is located in Herne on Bahnhofstrasse in the immediate vicinity of the U35 stop Herne Mitte. In addition to the actual restaurant, there are also some tables outside. Fratelli offers a typical selection of Italian food and drinks. From antipasti, soups and salads to homemade pasta, pizza, meat and fish and dolci, the menu offers a varied but not too extensive selection. The drinks menu is similarly well-stocked. The service is friendly and the restaurant has a simple, pleasant atmosphere. The price and performance ratio is appropriate. Conclusion: Food and drinks recommended. Always my pleasure.

Yesterday I had the fillet of Iberico for €30. My wife wanted risotto with fish and got some kind of fried potatoes with it. The approximately 1cm thick "fillet" was inedible because it was full of thick tendons - the second attempt was also from the same piece and therefore couldn't be better, but was charged in full. We've been there several times. Antipasti, pasta, pizza ok - meat better not. It was our last visit because the food wasn't worth €115.

Really very well eaten. The evening's recommendation (fish accompanied by risotto) was prepared to perfection. Crisply fried and yet wonderfully juicy on the inside. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

We were spontaneously in Herne and discovered this pizzeria by chance. We will definitely come back for the pizza!!! The best pizza I've ever eaten! The “salmone e gamberi” was very tasty, fish and shrimp of top quality, thin crispy dough, delicious tomato sauce. But the best thing was the “verdura” pizza, perfectly fried in olive oil, finely chopped vegetables, seasoned with the right salt and pepper, combined with this incredibly delicious parmesan cream, it was a real treat! Also for meat eaters ;)

Food was good, but also very expensive. For me the price performance is not right. We had gnocchi twice. The gnocchi had more sauce than gnocchi. I've never had so much sauce with gnocchi before. Therefore it was very overpriced

We come from Cologne and are really spoiled with culinary delights. Certainly one of the best Italian restaurants in Herne, if not in the Ruhr area - authentic, warm, flexible and an owner who puts his heart and soul into it - Italy in Herne - absolute recommendation! We'll definitely come back!

Delicious and excellent service

My wife and I spontaneously went there for dinner last night. We were warmly welcomed by the boss. We were able to choose a table because it was still early in the evening and many tables were still free, but that would change over the course of the evening. We first ordered an aperitif and while we waited for our drinks we took a look at the menu. We really liked the dishes from the monthly menu. I chose the veal liver in red wine balsamic sauce and my wife chose the beef ragout in port wine sauce. Both dishes were finely balanced. Praise to the Sicilian chef! The Primitivo went with the veal liver and the Negro Amaro went with the beef ragout. For dessert we shared the Tartufo Limoncello. Very refreshing and delicious. We enjoyed the espresso, grappa and cigarillo on the terrace. Dear Fratelli team, thank you very much for the lovely evening. You have gained new regular customers!

Da es ein Feiertag war, bestellten wir verschiedene Gerichte aus der regulären Karte ( Involtini, Ragout mit Risotto, Tunfischtatar und Tunfischstreifen in Sesam/Pistazienmantel). Die Gerichte waren hervorragend gewürzt, sehr frisch, schön angerichtet und ohne Convenienceprodukte zubereitet. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und man sitzt in einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir werden bestimmt wieder dort einkehren.

We had a very good meal with the family and, as always, we were served very nicely. The innkeeper looks after his guests with heart and soul and individually recommends the exceptional dishes. We like to be regular guests there.

I think the pictures almost speak for themselves, but I will still say a few words. Fratelli is truly an absolute highlight when it comes to Italian food. Absolutely top class every time. From starter to dessert there is nothing to complain about. The service is super warm. Without exception, all employees are more than friendly and you can tell that they enjoy their job. Even special requests are immediately accepted and fulfilled with a smile. Special recommendation: The wine event in cooperation with Meinken. This is where the pictures come from.

The best restaurant in Herne! I ordered pizza and my girlfriend had pasta. I have eaten in so many restaurants but nothing tops this restaurant. The service is awesome! The boss personally serves the food and every now and then asks how it tastes and whether everything is OK. The nice waiter fulfills all wishes and is extremely friendly! The dessert is a 100,000\10 ❤️ my girlfriend was there for the first time and always wants to go there from now on! Thank you very much 🫶🏽

Absolutely great menu and great, unusual dishes that you can't get in Herne. The changing monthly menu always surprises you in a positive way and there is something for every taste. The staff attaches great importance to a relaxed offer for the guests and makes it a “delight for the palate” with special recommendations! An enrichment for Herne and deserves its full 5 stars!

We came here for dinner by chance. The Fratelli has an attractive interior and appears rather upscale (a little tip on the side: but that could be the case). toilet rooms will also be continued)! Well, the most important thing is the food: We were able to choose between dishes from the Monday menu and the normal menu. There is also a monthly menu with unusual dishes. We decided on pizza, once lunch, once normal! The pizzas were the same size, the lunch ones were cheaper. Both were richly topped and very tasteful. The pizza dough was airy, light and the edge was nice and crispy - very good! The pasta dishes served at the next table also looked very appealing! Conclusion: The Fratelli is really recommended! Especially at lunchtime.

Best Italian beyond the borders of Kirchhellen. Super fresh food, great oven pizzas. I'm always impressed with every dish and haven't finished the menu yet. Starter, main and dessert are a must for a culinary delight. The atmosphere is super chic and the staff is attentive and very nice. There is hardly an evening when the restaurant is not at least well attended. At the weekend it is only possible with a lot of luck to get a place without a reservation. But that only speaks for Fratelli and not against it. I enjoy being a guest there and feel well looked after.

Small Italian restaurant in Herner's pedestrian zone, slightly hidden behind a subway station. We happened to be passing by and asked for a free table for two. After a short wait we got a small table right next to the heater. We were asked relatively quickly what drinks we wanted and the owner presented the menu. However, when we didn't order one of the high-priced dishes on the monthly menu or an appetizer when we ordered, the owner briefly gave the impression that he regretted giving a table to walk-in customers. But then everyone was very friendly and tried hard. The food was very tasty and large enough to fill you up. Very cozy atmosphere and dim lighting to make you feel good.

Top cuisine, real craftsmanship, with a good selection of wines at fair prices. We'd love to come back.

We were there today for the event with wine accompaniment. A very tasty meal, first the carpaccio, then homemade tortelloni with salmon and saffron sauce, roulades and apple strudel. Really a great evening, highly recommended as a complete package.
