Great service!!! We had reserved for later, much of the menu was already gone (i.e. all three favorites). The waitress (boss) came to the table, explained and helped with the selection based on described taste preferences! A small farewell sip as a “sorry” and a lot of good mood. We'd love to come back!

Portugal - has been there many times. Now I have found a place in this restaurant that reminds me of my vacations. Very friendly service, great furnishings - very cozy, and of course the freshly prepared dishes a la Portugal. I ate so well and came back here the next day. I'm attaching photos, it's not to everyone's taste - it's seafood. But there are also very tasty meat dishes. I'll definitely come back, it's unique here...

Today we spontaneously went to the Portuguese Restaurant Sagres for lunch. We had redfish, pollack and steak with sides and a starter soup. The dishes were superbly prepared and left nothing to be desired. For dessert there was espresso, cappuccino and a scoop of ice cream. What more do you want. Finally, a conversation with the landlady, who is simply personable and authentic. Another holiday highlight Kind regards, Bahemann family

The four of us were there on June 21, 2024 in the evening from 6 p.m. and enjoyed ourselves until after 9 p.m. The other two chose a land and sea platter for 2 people and were totally thrilled. Everything on the platter: squid tubes, prawns, beef fillet, pork fillet and chorizo ​​was super tasty and well seasoned! The combination with pineapple, salad and side dishes was really tasty. We both decided on a house-style grilled platter with beef, pork, chorizzo, super tasty baked fries and also pineapple with a small salad! Everything was very tasty and the portions were large! The service was very nice, the atmosphere was great! The sanitary facilities were also very clean! So a must for every visit to Cuxhaven!

Nothing unusual in terms of taste. The fish was good, but not a taste explosion. But it may not be possible to get it out of the stockfish. The staff is very hardworking and sociable. The toilets are clean.

We had Portuguese food for the first time. 4 people between 50 and 80 years old were all very enthusiastic about everything. Price performance top. The Land and Sea Platter for 2 people was fantastic. The meat grill plate was great. Definitely again 👍🏼

We hadn't expected there to be a free seat, so we were even more pleased that we were able to get a table without a reservation. A stylish, cozy and family-run restaurant. The food was excellent, good portions and everything was fresh. Highly recommended the Portuguese almond liqueur. Never eaten Portuguese and were not disappointed. Attentive hosts. Can only recommend!

We went here for dinner as a family and it was a complete success. The staff was attentive and very friendly and the food was all really good, compliments! Only the iced chocolate for dessert wasn't convincing. Apparently the cocoa had run out so they simply mixed milk with chocolate sauce. It would have been better to simply describe the situation honestly. Otherwise it's really outstanding, we'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Cuxhaven!

A great Portuguese restaurant with friendly staff and good value for money. Every time we visit Cuxhaven, we can expect a delicious dinner with tender meat and fresh fish. The vegetables are cooked to perfection and a glass of wine is still affordable. Very important: definitely beforehand reserve a table!

As always, everything was very good. However, the plate could be warmed up for me be. Finally, the food is no longer warm.

We were at Sagres for lunch and each chose a dish from the lunch menu. The small lunch meal was preceded by a delicious vegetable soup. An expresso afterwards. We were very reminded of our beautiful trip through Portugal.

A lovely family run Portuguese restaurant. The quality and quantity convinced me! I will definitely come back We were traveling with a larger group and got a place in the next room, which we thought was great! The best thing is that we weren't forgotten, but the service team was consistently attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy on a Wednesday. Nice Portuguese restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. It's definitely worth reserving a table in advance. For dessert there was spaghetti ice cream. Since there was no longer enough vanilla in stock, we were offered an alternative with strawberry ice cream. Very tasty, I might try it more often in the future ;-)

The food is very good and fresh. The service is also really extremely friendly. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food, but as we were told there was no other way, but the food was even better. It was a bit loud and crowded, but it didn't bother me. In my opinion the price is a little higher but still okay. Another small point of criticism: the portions could be a little larger.

Thank you very much for the repeated entertaining stay in Portugal. My Balcalhau was almost as good as my mother-in-law's 😉 (... I'm not just saying that, it's really very tasty 😋). Together with the Vinho Verde I felt (without a wife) culinary in the country of my great love (wife). It's nice that there are restaurants that offer authentic cuisine from their homeland. Unfortunately, I'm not from here, but I can highly recommend a similarly entertaining stay at Sagres to anyone who is open to culinary delights. But be careful, the fish may still have bones. The fish (pollock fillet) is really good and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, one of two vegetarian options is quite the opposite: a pile of grilled vegetables, stacked rather than plated, with no dip or sauce. However, the service is really great and the staff is very nice. About the ambience: When you look into the room, it looks really nice and it is wonderfully decorated. Unfortunately, if you look towards the windows, it looks more like an uncomfortable winter garden.

I guess we were unlucky... Had the grill plate a la Chef. Unfortunately completely disappointing; tasteless, salt was missing everywhere, had nothing of the Portuguese taste. Everything was heavy in the stomach. Hope it was a slip...

Attentive, totally friendly service. Food was delicious. My meal came with fries and rice as a side dish. When I criticized this and said that I was missing a vegetable side dish, I was immediately given a side salad for free. Really great service!

Wir waren hier schon öfter und haben stets gleichbleibende Qualität genossen. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und herzlich, die Speisen sind jedesmal total lecker - egal, ob Fisch oder Fleisch! Wir waren auch an Silvester mit 7 Personen von 18 Uhr bis 1 Uhr im Sagres und haben ein perfektes und aussergewöhnliches 4 Gänge Menü mit mehreren Vor- und Nachspeisen, Wein und andere Getränke, genossen und werden nächstes Silvester wieder kommen!

Ein absolutes Muss für alle die gerne Portugiesisch essen ❤️. Mittlerweile sind wir seid fast 8 Jahren Gäste bei Sagres. Familien geführtes Restaurant, dies spiegelt sich in allen Facetten wieder. Es war sehr lecker und netter Service...Das einzig negative......die Heizung stand auf 5 ...aber es war sehr kalt im Restaurant

Wir waren im Dezember 2023 hier, Draußen eisigkalt mit Schnee, Drinnen urgemütlich mit Kamin (elektrisch, aber wärmend). Erstmal einen heißen Tee bestellt. Sehr freundliches Personal, das Essen super lecker und ausreichend. Auch Hungrige werden gut satt. Preis/Leistung gut. Man darf sogar seinen Hund mitbringen, sofern man einen hat. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder

Wir waren heute Abend sofort bei Öffnung hier und haben zum Glück noch ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen 😁 Wir haben uns für eine Platte für 2 Personen „Land & Meer“ entschieden und sind total begeistert worden. Alles auf der Platte: Tintenfischtuben, Gambas, Rinderfilet, Schweinefilet und Chorizo war super lecker und toll gewürzt! Die Kombination mit Ananas, Salat und Beilagen war richtig lecker und mein empfohlenes Nata Törtchen zum Nachtisch superklasse! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir wieder in Duhnen in Urlaub sind ❤️

Essen gehen wie man es sich wünscht. Wichtig! Unbedingt reservieren, da man schon Glück haben muss ohne Reservierung einen Platz zu bekommen, was ja nur für das Restaurant spricht. Das Essen, der service und das Ambiente sind wunderbar. Man wird herzlich und persönlich empfangen und fühlt sich direkt wohl. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und man muss nie warten. Das Essen ist einfach ein Traum. Am häufigsten esse ich hier die Gambas im biersud zubereitet, dazu geniale selbstgemachte kartoffelchips mit Hammer ailoi und kleinem Salat. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen hier die Gambas zu probieren. Auf dem Foto ist die Meeresfrüchte für zwei Personen, Achtung preis Pro Person 60€, es war aber echt mal aussergewöhlich und lecker. Komme gerne immer wieder 🙌

Sehr empfehlenswert! Das essen war sehr lecker, vorallem die selbstgemachten Chips waren super lecker. Der Fisch und die Vorspeisen waren auch sehr gut. Das Personal ist der nett und flexibel. Also rundum ein sehr gutes Restaurant und auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!
