Nette Atmosphäre, freundliche kompetente Bedienung, gutes Essen!

Das Essen war lecker und große Portionen. Die Preise dafür auch fair. Das Ambiente passend zum Restaurant, aber eher altbacken. Der Service war freundlich, schien aber nicht sehr motiviert zu sein. Leere Getränke wurden abgeräumt, aber nicht nach neuen Getränken gefragt. Wir wollten noch Dessert bestellen, man brachte uns die Karte. Leider wurde uns dann nicht direkt gesagt, dass Pasteis de Nata schon ausverkauft sind. Ein guter Service hätte das direkt beim Verteilen der Dessertkarte erwähnt. Vier Personen von uns hatten sich das Dessert ausgesucht, was es dann nicht gab. Eine Person schaute dann nach einer Alternative, wurde dann aber auch nicht mehr gefragt. Sehr schade, hier wäre mehr möglich, zumal auch nicht viel los war.

Hervorragender freundlicher und guter Service. Essen war sehr gut, Fleisch teilweise etwas durchwachsen, sollte bei den Preis nicht vorkommen 👍 Trotz allem sehr zu empfehlen 👍

Essen wie original im Urlaub in Portugal. Super lecker haben wir hier mit der Familie inkl. Kleinkind gegessen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns wie im letzten Portugalurlaub gefühlt. Vielen Dank 😊

Nun wir waren enttäuscht. Das Essen war ganz einfach angerufen. Der Salat bestand aus Blattsalat, etwas Gurke und Tomate, ein paar Zwiebeln und ein wenig Öl. Es standen keinerlei Gewürze auf den Tischen zum nachwürzen. Die Pommes waren ungesalzen, den Ketchup gab es aus der Tüte. Für mich ist das nur ein Imbiss mit zu hohen Preisen.

Schnelle kalte Getränke, Service freundlich und persönlich. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war außergewöhnliche lecker! Nur zu empfehlen! Heute Abend geht's wieder hin!

Wir waren heute zum ersten mal im Restaurant Sagres essen. Aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen. Unsere Erwartungen wurden bestätigt. Wir haben gedacht wir sitzen in einem Restaurant auf Madeira. Die Qualität der von uns gewählten Speisen, sind einfach ganz oben anzuordnen. Mal wieder eine andere Küche, wie Kabeljau, Rotbarsch, Fischbrötchen oder Krabbenbrötchen. Danke euch auch für den tollen Service.

Wir hatten einen tollen Abend im Sagres. Das Essen, Fleisch vom heißen Stein und eine Tapasplatte, hat uns sehr gefallen. Toller Service und gute Laune. Sobald wir in der Nähe sind, werden wir wieder einen Abend hier verbringen

Die Gastfreundschaft und die freundliche Bedienung stechen neben dem hervorragenden Essen und den leckeren Vino Verde hervor. Zu jedem Kurztrip nach Cuxhaven gehört ein Besuch des Restaurants Sagres.

Nettes Lokal mit superfreundlichen Inhabern. Alle Fragen zu speziellen Gerichten und Getränken wurden uns ausführlich erklärt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und mal was anderes. Die Preise vollkommen in Ordnung. Bei unserem nächsten Nordseebesuch kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir waren zu dritt im Sagres und waren rundum begeistert. Unsere 8-jährige Tochter bestellt sonst immer Fischstäbchen, diesmal hat sie Seelachs probiert und war total überrascht, wie gut frischer Fisch schmecken kann. Wir hatten Kalamari, Muscheln und Fisch. Alles einfach mega frisch, wie direkt vom Fischer in Portugal. Dazu ein sehr guter Wein und eine wunderbare, familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung war unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Für uns eine der besten Erfahrungen überhaupt – wir kommen wieder! Service war schnell und freundlich, leider nach dem Servieren wenig aufmerksam. Obwohl die Gläser schon lange leer waren, kam keiner vorbei. Essen war nicht dem Preis entsprechend, gerade noch ok.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Unscheinbares Restaurant von außen, aber innen erwartet einen top Service und 1a Essen. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und das Team ist mit Herz dabei. Wer gute portugiesische Gerichte sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Sehr leckere portugiesische Küche, Essen wird serviert auf klassischem Geschirr. Wir waren bereits öfter hier und es war immer richtig gut. Sehr freundliches Personal, während des Essens wird gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist.

We had made a reservation, as the restaurant is always very busy, and received a very friendly welcome. The music was subtle and the overall atmosphere relaxed. The service staff was very attentive, professional, and very friendly and welcoming. The food was a dream! Subtly seasoned, tastefully served, vegetables with a light bite, meat melted in the mouth, and portions that were filling – simply perfect! A clear 5-star evening in every respect!

Our curiosity was rewarded!!! To be honest, we spontaneously decided to eat at this restaurant after watching the show "My Local - Your Local"! The dining room is bright, welcoming, quiet, pleasantly warm, and cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming! The food we ordered—tomato salad, olives, and garlic dip—was delicious. The squid tubes and prawns were also very, very tasty! Our conclusion: We'd love to come back!

We ended up here today quite by chance; unfortunately, there were no free seats at our hotel 🤷‍♂️ And fate was very kind to us; we received a very friendly welcome and the service was first-class overall 👍 The food was amazing; we all enjoyed it so much, we could have kept eating if there had been more 😉 The pastei de nata at the end was a poem 👌 All in all, it was a more than good decision to eat here, thank you very much. I can't explain the number of extremely positive reviews. I felt the portion size was significantly too small; even my very petite wife felt the same way. After our beloved Portuguese restaurant in Bremerhaven unexpectedly closed, we tried this place. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The quality of the ingredients and the taste largely left a lot to be desired. Especially with the prawns; there's not much you can do wrong with a raw piece of meat. The sauces tasted musty. When clearing the table, no one even asked if we were ready or if we were enjoying it. We weren't even looked at. The food here isn't exactly expensive, but in relation to the quality offered, it's too expensive in my opinion. However, I found the dishes to be really very nice.

Don't let the amateurs who have no idea about the wonderful Portuguese culture and cuisine annoy you! Best regards

A fantastic restaurant! You walk in and immediately feel "at home." The staff is exceptionally friendly and customer-oriented. The ambiance is appealing. There are plenty of tables for two, ensuring a certain degree of privacy. The food selection is fantastic, and the value for money is excellent. The food itself leaves nothing to be desired. Other restaurants in the area would struggle to match Sagres.

On our first evening in Cuxhaven, we went to Sagres, of course. As always, we had a delicious meal.

Very delicious food! Excitingly seasoned, great service. The portions are really large; the desire to enjoy ourselves alone kept us going.

Today, by chance, we visited Sagres for the first time. We were thrilled. We had the "Land and Sea" platter for two. We haven't had such a delicious meal in a long time. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We immediately made a reservation.

We travel a lot and eat out frequently, either locally or on the go. But we haven't had a meal as delicious as this in a long time. And at a completely reasonable price, too. Everything was perfect here: we got a table right away without a reservation, super friendly service, the food came quickly, and it tasted incredibly good. I had no idea you could add so much flavor to a grilled fries plate. For dessert, a divine pasteis de nata. We're already considering another short break in Cuxhaven just for this restaurant.

Despite forgetting to make a reservation, we were offered a seat in this superbly beautiful and authentic restaurant. The food was just like I'd expect from home, served on beautiful earthenware. The waiters were super friendly. The only "unfortunate" thing was that they didn't have any non-alcoholic Super Bock/Sagres. But that's just nitpicking. We'll be back on our next vacation. Always fantastic – everything just fits. I immediately felt welcome. The food was once again very good, the service was excellent, and the value for money was right. We were very satisfied with the tapas, the redfish fillet, the salmon steak, and the Francesinha. Both the quantity and the taste were perfect. And to finish, don't forget the Licor Beirão.

Absolutely recommended! We had various starters: clams in white wine sauce, plaice fillet, bacalhau (cod) Gomes de Sá style, and the grilled chicken, beef, and chorizo. Everything was absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the Freitas red wine, which was pleasantly smooth. And if you're still full, a pastel de nata (cream custard puff pastry tart) is always a good choice. The very friendly staff rounds everything off perfectly. A must for Portugal lovers. We'd love to come back next time! ♥️ 🇵🇹

We were at Sagres in July 2025! If you want something different to eat with a lovely atmosphere, then Sagres is the place for you. The food is delicious, whether meat or fish! Reservations are recommended. The staff is friendly and accommodating!

Obrigdo! I'm from Cuxhaven and went there for the first time yesterday. Great food, superb service, everyone was really, really nice. We'll definitely be back soon, and next time I'll be able to find the restroom right away 😁

The prices are completely exorbitant, and the service is terrible. Shortly after we received our starter, the waiter arrived with the main course. We've been traveling to Portugal regularly for 40 years and have Portuguese friends. We've never been served anything like this in Portugal. The drink prices are also a complete joke. We absolutely don't understand the good reviews on this site.

It's like "coming home." This time I only ate "tapas," which in Portuguese are actually called "petiscos." I assume that's due to the German clientele, as is the cheese, which is strongly reminiscent of Gouda. I wish they had a bit more courage to be individual here. Everything was delicious, but the "mussels in broth" brought tears to my eyes. Soooo delicious... I'm already looking forward to the next time.

Somehow, the food overall wasn't all that great. I've had much better fried anchovies, and the Francesinha didn't really blow me away either. The sauce in the Francesinha was very tasty. We thought €14 for a small plate with an egg, three potatoes, and some vegetables was a bit steep. Not bad, but I've had better.

Very good and high-quality food, the service almost perfect, but I don't need to hear the smacking and farting from the N8bar table. Space the tables further apart; every youth hostel is better equipped in this regard.

We celebrated my son's wedding there on May 23rd. I personally wasn't happy with the catering; there was a lot of room for improvement, but it was still a lovely evening.

For a fish platter priced at €27, it's very clear. Service was friendly and nice For me, however, it's what's on the plate that counts and that was underwhelming.

Went to Sagres for the first time and we were totally satisfied, super nice staff and the food was simply great, whether it was fish or meat, everything was cooked to perfection, the taste was top notch, the price was good and we would love to come back
