Traditional, rustic, quiet and with a very human atmosphere. The location is great for trips to, for example, Cuxhaven, Freiburg, Otterndorf - only 800 meters to the dike with an attractive seaside resort. I felt very comfortable there and will definitely come back.

Schillerstraße 46, Cuxhaven, Lower Saxony, Germany Despite stating that the store should be open according to Google, it was closed on December 27, 2024. Thank you for that. The owner's answer also speaks volumes - you immediately notice how important the customer is here. “ButterBeiDieFische” seems to be understood here in a rather one-sided way. And by the way: We are definitely not on a first-name basis!

Duhner Strandstraße 5-9A very good restaurant just behind the dike. The staff was very friendly and pleasant, the food was upscale, very tasty with refined touches. The wine pairing was solid and fairly priced, as were the four-course menu and my girlfriend's à la carte menu. The dessert was the weakest part, very good in its approach, but the rhubarb tart was a bit crunchy – understandable on a moderately busy evening, but they could have thought of a better preparation for the standard dessert with the evening menu. Despite this minor issue, overall, an all-around good restaurant visit; I would definitely recommend the Vier Jahreszeiten.
