We had our registry office celebration here and it was simply perfect. The food was delicious. The service was top The location was great. Can only recommend it. Absolutely suitable for such events.

Food definitely 5 stars. We had karnı yarık and beyti kebap. I've been eating karnı yarık all my life. I didn't think such a simple dish could still surprise me. That speaks for the chef. The meze were also a delight. Thumbs up. Service only 4 stars, because we didn't want fish, we even said so, we were offered fish several times. No, we don't want fish, it should be enough. I think it was asked 3 times. No matter what they comment or write that the fish is good or whatever. A “no thank you” should be understood. All in all, 4.7 stars.

Everything was breathtaking! I'm serious, I recommend it to everyone who wants tasty and quality food. Always my pleasure.

They offer Turkish cuisine in the ambiance of European restaurants. The taste is better than most restaurants in Turkey. It was also instructive that they wrote the names of the dishes on the menu in Turkish instead of translating them into nonsensical English/German and gave the contents in German/English in a way that other people could understand. It is pleasing that they teach the original name, just like French and Italian restaurants.

Sabo Restaurant always makes us feel at home. It is a place you should visit when you come to Düselldorf and you will never regret its food, tastes and services. Especially Sebahattin Usta and Gamze Hanım are the only people you should meet and see with their wonderful service and smiling faces 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed the elegant and delicate Turkish cuisine, which was unpretentious but served with genuine hospitality. The owner was extremely friendly and readily accommodated our specific requests for lamb and fish, and suggested menus from starters to main dishes. There was a good variety of wine as well. They seem to want more Japanese customers to come, so please come and try it out.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The owner/chef there was very inviting and warm hearted. The hospitality was through the roof. He had calmly explained on the telephone before booking as to what the dishes were and how they will be prepared and how much they cost beforehand. He decked a table for us on the corner so that we would be having one of the best spots for our anniversary. He took care of us personally along with our waiter who waited us with a warm and loving smile. The entire experience was a bliss. Now onto the food. We had already gave him a list of the dishes that we wanted. First started with complimentary bread which was honestly well baked and hot. Served with fresh olives and oliveoil. It was a good dish to start with. Then came the calamari which was fried with batter. The fry was crisp and the taste of the calamari was also fresh. The taste of the sauce was also good with a hint of balsamico which was a nice addition. 7/10 Onto the next dish was the spicy prawn / garlic prawn - just one word to describe it ---"wow" it was heavenly. 11/10 The next dish was scallops which were also cooked to perfection and was so soft that practically melted in our mouth 8/10 The main dish was the fish what was deboned in front of us giving an aura of show and pomp and elevating our experience. Since it's a personal preference I can only say that it would have been perfect if it was lightly more salted ... But hey thats my taste profile--- 8/10 The dessert we chose and was also recommended was the kunafa (hope I wrote it correctly) which was honestly the best way to end the perfect night out. 10/10 The total cost was around 160 euros along with 2 rose glasses and 2 white beer. To say that it was a nice night out is really an understatement. Would recommend and if possible visit it again with my friends and family. Thank you sabo for making our anniversary memorable. :)

A spontaneous visit to SABO. There were five of us, we ordered starters and very old vegetables came to the table. And for the main course we only ordered 3 grischtes. Sorry, we're really disappointed. Simply tasteless. All this for €278

Je voyage beaucoup, j’ai eu la chance de goûter à une multitude de restaurant, cette adresse mérite votre visite, si vous aimez la cuisine Turque, vous ne serez pas déçu. Comptez 40€ entrée et plat. Nous ne sommes pas dans le bas de gamme non plus. Mais les prix, au vu de la qualité, sont tout à fait mérités. Beau voyage à tous ! Le vin rouge Turque au verre est remarquable ! Étonnant, il s’approche de Bourgogne tout à fait bien né et bien fait. J’en ai pris deux verres,,,,, gourmandise…

Very nice atmosphere. Attentive staff. Unfortunately you wait a long time for the food. The dishes could use a lot more sauce as they are very dry.

We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. The music is very well chosen and not too loud. The selection of dishes is great and the taste is really first class. We were given the wrong dish and it was immediately accepted and exchanged with charm. The plates were always beautifully prepared. We all felt really well looked after and will definitely come again. If you're looking for an atmosphere where it's not too loud and value good ingredients and super hearty service, this is the right place for you!

Tasty, friendly, nice atmosphere. However, the price-performance ratio is not right. Main courses between 35 and 40 €, there would have to be a little more culinary art. For 30 euros shared starters (for two) for 1 person: bread, olive oil, various individual slices of grilled vegetables and 4 smaller, delicious dips... Really delicious Turkish cuisine, but the price doesn't match. There are better alternatives in Düsseldorf.

Very good food and excellent service. We were looked after all evening and every wish was catered for. Rarely have I had such a lovely evening. The starters including the freshly baked bread were excellent. The main courses were also convincing. It was my birthday (you shouldn't have noticed) and I was given a bottle of champagne to say goodbye. I'll come back more often.

We came to the fair in Germany as a construction company and ate every dinner at sobo during the fair. In terms of quality, taste and service, everything was very nice and perfect. I definitely recommend it.

It was a great place to taste Turkish cuisine. Also environment was very nice and friendly.

Went to Sabo for the second time and both visits were wonderful! The chic atmosphere put me off a bit at first, but the lady in service and the chef were super nice and attentive! You feel absolutely taken care of. The gluten intolerance was well addressed and the chef made great suggestions. Even though we were there with 2 children and the rest of the guests were rather stylish, we felt very welcome. The service was super attentive, water was poured as soon as the glasses were empty, but it wasn't intrusive at all. There's even a playroom for the children, which I didn't expect. The fact that my guests only spoke English wasn't a problem at all. The menu is also available in English. The food was delicious and the selection was so big and good that we couldn't decide. That's why we moved away from it Let Koch surprise us and we were not disappointed. :) The team joked with us and was very funny. All in all, both visits were super pleasant and I can recommend it to everyone. There is also a large selection for vegetarians, as well as daily fresh fish offers. So, don't let the chic atmosphere put you off, the prices were absolutely reasonable for the quality! Fortunately, the fact that we arrived almost an hour later than reserved wasn't a problem at all. After we were shown to our table, we were given a “Soguk Meze Tabgai” as a starter, consisting of four small rolls, a few olives, some red sauce, tzatziki and eggplant. We were charged €15 for this, but we were not told the price beforehand and it was only apparent on the bill that this starter was chargeable. However, the most disappointing thing about the restaurant was the main course. For a whopping €80 we got a 40cm fish, which was served with six small potatoes (4cm each) and some spinach. This portion was advertised for two people. The “Sac Kavurma” was served to us dry. Usually this dish contains liquids from cooking that are consumed with bread. However, the plate was dry and sauce was only brought to us after repeated requests. Conclusion: All in all, overpriced and disappointing.

We had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic. We ordered 5 mezzes (cold + warm) for us to share, and that was plenty of food. The "menti" was the star of the evening, all of our dishes were fresh and extremely flavorful Highly recommend!!!

This is an old-school restaurant in the best sense. The service is attentive, charming and leaves nothing to be desired. We wanted to eat fish, which made our waitress almost euphoric and they immediately served a plate with a bed of ice and fresh fish, brought it to the table and discussed a selection with us. We chose turbot and a sea bream. Then we chose the side dishes and the result was wonderful! We also had a starter and a dessert variation. The Turkish cuisine served here is fine and celebrates good taste. And the eye eats too. Each plate was lovingly prepared into a small work of art and the whole fish was professionally filleted and served at the table. I'm always annoyed afterwards that I forget to take photos. We were really full. The Turkish white wine to accompany it was also very suitable and went well with the flavors of the food. And the typical chai in the small glasses wasn't missing either. This restaurant may not be cheap, but it's definitely worth the price! I will definitely let myself be pampered there again.

That was a direct hit! Extremely friendly staff. A hospitality that I have only been able to experience on holiday on the Turkish Riviera. Fine Turkish cuisine. Specialties such as 'Sea bass in a salt crust'. Perfect presentation. Very good quality. High price segment. Card payment possible.

Quite successful! I went for the second time. All the dishes and appetizers we tasted were delicious. It is a company that is particularly prominent in meat processing. There is no unnecessary fat load in any of the dishes. There is also a well-thought-out room for children's entertainment. There is a menu suitable for both long dinners and short lunch breaks. Note: of course don't expect Fastfood prices.

Our final day in Düsseldorf and what better way to round off a great trip than by fine Turkish dining. The owner greeted us warmly and recommended a selection of cold and warm mezze plus some fabulous octopus. Often it can be chewy and rubbery, but this was prepared by a master of his craft. The white Turkish wine was also excellent. It's only a 15-minute tram ride from the centre and well worth the trip. All in all, highly recommended.

Very good food. Not exactly cheap but good, friendly service. The wines were also very suitable. Unfortunately, different prices were charged for the same open wine for the same order. The maintenance of the toilet and access is also decreasing somewhat, which unfortunately no longer corresponds to the high price.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Y 👎 The location is nice but the prices are astronomically high. We paid 240 Euros for 6 people. There is no alcohol in this. 5 sugar cube size Meat and 2 olives are 34 Euros. Prices are one click lower than Dubai.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent and courteous. Absolutely old school and haven't seen anything like this in a long time. We were served by Nihat.

Where should I start? The three of us ordered a starter plate that didn't taste anything special and was topped with fat-soaked Böreks. Afterwards we got a meat platter for three people, on which there were exactly three lamb chops, a few pieces of chicken and three mini and completely dry pieces of beef. Three portions of snack rice were also served, which tasted like nothing. And everything came to the table cold. All this for €210.00 – a total disgrace. Here it is true to the motto “more appearance than reality”. Not recommendable.

White tablecloths and cloth napkins are a bit out of date. Otherwise you can sit comfortably in the bright winter garden. The lamb fillet was great, nicely prepared and served with fresh vegetables. There were lots of fresh, various fish on display, including turbot. The waiter is very nice and happy to talk.

Wir waren gestern Abend bei Sabo, am Eingang wurden wir schon Herzlich von einem Herren empfangen und zum Tisch begleitet. Wir wurden erst persönlich zu den Speisen beraten , sowohl auch ala Cart! Es kamen kalte und warme Vorspeisen die köstlich waren, dazu der passende Türkische Wein (ich wusste nicht das Türkei so gute Weine hat) , danach gab es Fisch der am Tisch filetiert wurde, Lamm und Huhn. Zauberhaft auf den Punkt gegrillt, mit Orientalischen Aromen, ich könnte weiter und weiter schreiben, meine Empfehlung, Leute selbst hingehen und die Gastfreundschaft und Speisen erleben! Und einen besonderen Dank an den Gastgeber Niat !!!

I went there with friends and was totally surprised by the service and food. I don't expect anything out of the ordinary in a normal restaurant, but here my opinion of it being a simple restaurant was completely revised. I felt completely comfortable there, they thought the service was just there for us. Fresh fish was shown to us at our table and explained how he could make it for us. This effort alone is something I don't know about in this price range. The food was fantastic, the service felt like you were something special. So all in all, highly recommended and it won't be long before I eat there again, even though Düsseldorf isn't exactly around the corner, but the trip is always worth it. A visit to Sabo is worth it The service is great, the food is incredibly tasty and the atmosphere is nice and pleasant. In the middle of the first room there is a display with various fresh fish, which change daily and so do the dishes. Otherwise, the menu is clear and not too overwhelming.
