Great restaurant, incredibly delicious. Almost everything was perfect, but the drinks were unfortunately very small. They could have been more, especially the water. Super friendly and stylishly decorated.

The shop is really good, I didn't really expect much at first, especially when I saw the rather small menu. But I have to say the food is really very good and I have rarely seen such warm and friendly service. I can definitely recommend the restaurant👍

Incredible experience.. We were there immediately at 6:30 p.m. today and were greeted very warmly. 2 hours later I'm still speechless. It wasn't just great food, it was also an experience I've never had before. I highly recommend the Sweet and Salty Lassy as a drink. The tapas and especially the rice were also incredibly tasty. But the biggest highlight was still the friendly nature of the boss. Something like that just stays in your head. For example, when we wanted to get money because I had forgotten my cash, the boss told us that we could go and get it in peace as a couple. You can't find that kind of trust anywhere today. In addition, we were always briefly told what each dish was and sometimes how it was prepared. I am very grateful for the experience. You can't put money behind an experience like this...

Really a very great shop with very tasty things and a waiter who takes a lot of time to explain the individual things and give recommendations. There is also a very good wine selection. Parking is a bit difficult in the area 😄

Quite average, contrary to the expectations raised by the reviews here. Portions are very small, so the price-performance ratio is not really right. The taste was ok, but not a revelation either. Unfortunately, the first portion of lamb was a bit tough, and overall everything was a bit too cold. The overall vibe was somehow off... we were left standing in the doorway, then one of the three free tables was "released" somewhat hesitantly with the announcement that not everything on the menu might be available. When asked what exactly was going on, we gave a dismissive answer. We then felt reprimanded when we wanted to order our food right away with the drinks and were simply left sitting there for a while until we were “allowed” to order - everything on the menu was still available (we just... ordered everything from the small menu). No recommendation from me.

The basmati rice with almonds and raisins and the eggplant is a very tasty combination. Strictly speaking, everything was delicious, the dips with bread, the wine and the rice, of course everything was perfect.

I was completely impressed by the Nava Restaurant in Cologne! The service was excellent, friendly, attentive and simply top. The ambience is pleasant and more good than bad, but the real highlight is definitely the food. Every dish was a pleasure and made me really happy. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates great cuisine.

Extremely recommended! The food was outstanding from start to finish. Very tasty oriental flavors, with dishes that I had either never tried before or don't normally like - and here they tasted fantastic! We are from Switzerland and became aware of the restaurant through Max. The dips were all incredibly tasty and unique, as were the meat dishes. The service was extremely friendly and warm. Süley in particular was incredibly accommodating and cooked excellently. The ambience is also very pleasant - we even found the light, which some people complain about, really nice. You'll feel comfortable and guaranteed to be full if you order a few dishes. The prices are fair for what you get. We would love to come back at any time!

It was a fantastic evening! I visited there yesterday with my partner. Ma tasted the freshness in the food from head to toe. And above all, you can see the love that goes into this shop. The owner himself served us. We have rarely had such a friendly and open-minded waiter who treated us with so much joy. We'd love to come back! An absolute insider tip around Cologne! The whole meal is an insider tip! You should especially try the dumplings!

I honestly can't understand the good reviews. I'm glad that the place is running again after all the "Restaurant Revival" YouTube hype, but ultimately it's the food that counts. First of all, the food is delicious, I didn't try anything that wasn't tasty. But most of the food feels like it only consists of dips and bread. The rest consists of small bites. As the name suggests (mezze), the meal only consists of many starters, but you won't find hearty food here. It really surprises me that people get fed up here. Overall, the price/performance ratio was honestly not right for me. Ambience is of course subjective, but I personally didn't like it. In any case it has little to do with the Orient. The owner and the waiter were both friendly, but really seemed very inauthentic to me. I really can't recommend it to anyone, but I also say, feel free to make your own impression.

That was nothing! Atmosphere due to the lighting like in a waiting hall. A huge disappointment in terms of taste. Given the prices, one would have expected good quality. The starters, three different dips, taste of nothing, of little and of nothing at all. The employee (managing director?) praised these as particularly great, saying that the recipes had been created with a star chef. When we asked who that was, we were at a loss. He now has a brewery. So so. Lots of chatter and little enjoyment. The lamb was bland, the chicken was dusty dry. I expect a taste explosion from herbs and spices from Levantine cuisine, but everything was extremely lacking here. Never again.

Super good food. There's almost nothing to complain about except the dumplings. This was what I was most looking forward to but it really only contained a teaspoon of minced meat. 90% just dough. But what changes is that I definitely have to go there again. The aubergines were amazing.

First of all: the ambience was really nice and the waitress was very friendly. The food tasted okay overall. However, the selection, portion size and service were unfortunately very disappointing. There were three of us and we ordered two main courses/mezzes (consisting of four randomly selected dishes) and three individual mezzes. The idea behind the main courses was for the kitchen to choose four random dishes from nine different options. However, there was a misunderstanding when we ordered and we were given an additional vegetarian main course. That wouldn't have been a problem in itself, but when we tried to point out the error, the concept was explained to us again, even though we fully understood it. We were even told that we had made a mistake and that our order was simply incomplete. We sent the extra plate back. The waitress later apologized, but by then we had already noticed that questions were not welcomed here. When the “correct” order finally arrived, there was great disappointment. Two of us had planned to share the main courses, as is usual with tapas. But of the eight “main course” dishes, six were just dips and there were only two tiny chicken skewers. Both main courses were identical, so there were only four different dishes in total - for almost 50 euros. The rice was dry and tasteless. We ended up leaving the restaurant hungry, despite a bill of over 100 euros. It's a shame because we were looking forward to the evening. Calling three dips with some bread and some chicken a “main course” is pretty disappointing, especially when the same dish is served twice. A little variety wouldn't have hurt.

First of all, the food: super tasty. Very tender chicken and delicious dips. However, the portion sizes were very small. To get enough of it you have to spend 40-50€. We paid €45 for the 2 skewers, 2 dips, 2 portions of bread, 1x rice and 2x small cola and unfortunately we weren't full at all. Due to the price level I wouldn't come back. The most important thing, however, is the taste. He was completely convincing.

It was a wonderful evening. We were there with a few friends and everyone of us really enjoyed it. Everything about the food was really tasty. The eggplant surprised me very much and the rice was really as tasty as it was advertised to me before. The atmosphere was very relaxed, which is why we stayed for a few drinks. The restaurant itself also looks great and very inviting. The nice service really creates a great atmosphere, we really didn't think it would convince us so much. I can really recommend it to everyone and encourage them to go there. For those who come from Cologne or the surrounding area, this is a must.

Delicious food, very friendly service, but the taste doesn't live up to the high expectations (which also arise from the prices) without being bad. The biggest point of criticism is that you would have had to spend €50-60 per person to actually get full. We're still sitting in l'Osteria because we left the restaurant still slightly hungry after spending just under €60 for two people.

My girlfriend and I had our anniversary today and spent our evening together at Sule. The hospitality we received was a 10/10. You feel very comfortable and at home. The service and the ambience were all perfect. The food was also to die for, in the small town we both come from there is nowhere near such a journey of flavors. Everything tastes high quality and homemade. We both think it was one of the best restaurant visits we've ever had. We can only recommend it :)

We tried almost the entire menu and really loved the taste - everything was delicious and the service was also excellent. Unfortunately, I have to say that the portions were quite small. At 40 euros per person and without really filling you up, I find it hard to consider another visit.

If I could, I would give this restaurant zero stars. My visit here was anything but pleasant, and unfortunately there isn't much positive to report. As soon as we entered the restaurant it was clear that it lacked everything that should make for a pleasant dining experience. Ambience: unkempt and run down The ambience is run down and seems anything but inviting. The interior looks like it hasn't been updated in decades - worn furniture, dirty tablecloths and a general neglect throughout the interior. Even simple cleanliness didn't seem to be a priority here: dust on the window sills and sticky surfaces raised doubts about hygienic standards. The lighting also contributed to the dreary atmosphere as it was too bright and uncomfortable. The entire ambience was not only unaesthetic, but simply seemed unkempt and loveless. Food: A disappointment across the board The food was – in plain English – just disgusting. The presentation of the dishes already foreshadowed something bad: carelessly arranged plates that made the food seem unappetizing. When I tried the first bite, my worst fears were confirmed. The food tasted bland and had a strange consistency. The ingredients didn't appear to be fresh or of high quality, and I couldn't shake the impression that they were canned or frozen. There was also an unusual and unpleasant aftertaste that suggested the oil or spices were overpowering. The temperatures of the food were also uneven, suggesting that the food wasn't even heated properly before serving. Service: Long waiting times and inattentive staff The long waiting time further worsened the overall impression. After we placed our order, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to finally be served. During this time we hardly received any attention from the service staff, who already seemed unfriendly and uninterested. Our questions were answered rather reluctantly, and a smile was apparently a rarity among the employees. It was shocking how unprofessional and indifferent the staff acted - as if we were a burden and not paying guests.

I found out about Nava from the YouTuber Max, who filmed a kind of “restaurant revival” here. Since I was in Cologne for a short time, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try out the restaurant with my mom. I reserved a table in advance, which turned out to be a good thing as the restaurant was very busy even on a Monday evening. Service: The owner's brother, Omar, welcomed us warmly and took us to the table. We were then served alternately by a very nice service person and Omar himself. They were both very attentive and always asked if everything was OK and were there quickly if you wanted to reorder something. We didn't wait long for the food either, considering that 90% of the tables were occupied and we ordered a few different dishes. Food: The food was excellent and tasted great. The dips had a taste that we had never experienced before, but in an extremely positive way. The bread was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, the chicken was very juicy and perfectly fried. However, we both personally liked the brown rice best, which is the perfect mix of hearty and a little sweet thanks to the raisins. The selection is very good for both vegetarians and people who eat meat and there is something for everyone. All in all, I would give the food all the stars in the world, we were absolutely blown away. Ambiance: In the pictures the light sometimes seems a bit cool, but this is absolutely not the case when you are there. The lights were dimmed, there was a small candle burning on every table, and the color concept inside just made you feel at home. Since the restaurant is not overly large, it has a very familiar atmosphere and you could spend a very cozy evening. So in conclusion, I would like to wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who hasn't visited the restaurant and is open to trying new things. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Nava with Suleil and Omar!

What was very authentic and limited to its roots turned into a shop that was too “hip” for me and, above all, focused on social media. I liked it better before and in particular the cozy atmosphere that existed before the renovation is no longer there. You can still feel the origins when you eat, but compared to other restaurateurs in Cologne it is now very mainstream and nothing special anymore. Too bad.

We spontaneously went to Nava on a Friday evening. It's worth making a reservation because it was actually fully booked. The friendly owner nevertheless tried to offer us a table. The food was fantastic and we also liked the wine list. Our favorite is the eggplant... Expanding the vegetarian selection would be great. Overall, we were very satisfied and were treated very nicely and courteously. We'll definitely be back.
