MEM-ET in Köln

Had dinner here by chance: The staff is very friendly and they always clean things up every now and then. Never eaten such a delicious wrap (I'm not that easy to please). Fresh vegetables, delicious sauce and a very tasty, light wrap (dough). Not like those gooey, rubbery ones you know. You can taste that everything was freshly prepared. We'd love to come back.

The ingredients were fresh and the Dürum itself was very tasty. However, the portion was a bit small, so it didn't fill you up. What you would somehow expect/hope for €8.5. That's why only 4 stars :)

The many good reviews attracted me here. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Fries fried several times, some 2x, others 3x or 4x. Some of them completely burned. Meat is nothing special, I've eaten it quite a few times. Mediocre in taste, quality too. Sauce was OK. Service quick. But I won't come back.

Yesterday we brought a man there who was extremely harassing two women and asked the men employed for help. They were so helpful that they laughed at me and insulted me. They really sympathized with the man who harassed the women and even joked with him. So I can't say anything about the food, but from a human perspective, what was going on was absolutely disgusting.

Today I would like to tell you about my visit to the MEM-ET in Cologne on Aachener Straße. I was there on my lunch break and ordered the complete kebab plate. Let me tell you my experiences. When I entered the restaurant I was immediately greeted by very friendly staff. I really liked that. For me, friendliness is always an important factor when it comes to rating a restaurant. However, the food didn't convince me. It was okay, but not great. The Belgian fries were very tasty, you have to give them that. However, I couldn't get excited about the veal. That was a shame because I was hoping for something more. Overall, I would describe the MEM-ET in Cologne Aachener Straße as a solid restaurant. The staff is friendly and the Belgian fries are really tasty. When it comes to meat, tastes vary, so everyone should try it for themselves. So if you are looking for a quick snack, the MEM-ET is certainly a good option.

My favorite kebab shop in Cologne. I try to eat at least one kebab here every time I'm there on a business trip. The sauces and the meat are a quantum leap compared to what you usually get here in Dresden. The staff is friendly and card payments are possible without any problems.

I have already tested a few different kebab shops in Cologne, including Zülpicher, Oruç, Kudr-Et, Antep Mangal and Doy Doy,… to name just a few. But the kebab at Mem-Et doesn't have to hide from these established shops. Particularly noteworthy are the delicious sauces and the perfectly roasted meat – simply great! The super-friendly waitresses always try to please every customer, and special requests, such as lemon on the kebab, are easily accommodated. I can hardly imagine a better kebab. Full marks – an absolute insider tip! (still)

The food is really good! We've been there several times and tried out the menu. Personally, we like the halloumi wrap best. The plates are also great and a huge portion - so the price is okay too. The only thing that didn't blow my mind was the bread. There's better. I don't understand why flatbread isn't used in Cologne like in other kebab shops... So, MEM-ET is recommended!

I have tasted many kebabs in my life. But Mem MEM-ET fascinates everyone anew. The kebab is a testament to fresh, elegance and exquisite ingredients. I don't know of any kebab that tastes as good as this one.

The skewer is made of minced meat and is of poor quality. The flesh is like rubber. It wasn't really friendly either.

We chose this place to experience German döner in Cologne. We ate chicken wrap, they put plenty of ingredients, the portions were very large, it was incredibly filling. It tasted very delicious. It exceeded my expectations, I definitely recommend it :)

Great food! Absolutely legitimate price. The beef/veal tastes like fresh meat, not like cardboard like in many other kebab shops. The salad and fried vegetables were also very fresh and tasty. There are no 0815 cheap kebabs here. Service is first class, the portions are generous at a reasonable price. I can highly recommend going there. For me personally the best kebab I have ever eaten there.

Well-intentioned 4 stars. The kebab was delicious, the ingredients were fresh, actually not worth 4 stars because it wasn't quite my taste. But the employees are behind it, the ingredients are fresh, the bread is freshly prepared. I expected more based on the reviews but maybe it was just my expectations. I tried veal and chicken, both are good but didn't blow me away. In short, I know much better stores with worse reviews. But you can't go wrong with a visit here

It was the restaurant I chose to come from Istanbul and experience German döner. Frankly, I went with very low expectations, but it impressed and surprised me enough to comment. It was really successful and very satisfying.

Delicious doners made with fresh, crunchy herbs and vegetables. Fast, efficient and friendly service. We can set up on site and the order will be brought to you. One of the best kebabs we've eaten, including in Berlin.

The meat is juicy and perfectly seasoned, the sauces are homemade and super tasty, and the bread is always fresh. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is good. In addition, the staff is friendly and quick. Whether it's for a quick snack or a leisurely meal - I always like to come back here. Absolute recommendation!

I went to MEM-ET because of the mostly very positive reviews. The two employees were really nice and the food was prepared quickly. The taste was quite good, a pinch of fresh herbs are added to the kebab, which spices things up a bit. The bread, which is baked completely fresh for each kebab, was great. The topping (falafel/halloumi) was ok. Because it is located directly on Aachener Str. and a lot of people eat here, it is very busy and of course not very relaxed when eating. But it's also a kebab shop, so I don't expect any gentle chansons. You can definitely do quite well here!

I was here for the first time today. The good reviews are not for nothing. The kebab was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. I will come often and try all the dishes.

My review was deleted because the criticism was probably not tolerated, like the kebab here. Therefore again: So small I thought I was in a panini shop. The staff are friendly, the price is like other kebab shops, but unfortunately it's far too small for that. The bread is dry, hardly any salad, hardly any meat. There are one or two ingredients that are unusual but in my opinion don't fit into a kebab. I'm very sad that I found the smallest kebab of my life today.

Caution. The owner is taking legal action against all reviews that do not have 4 or 5 stars. So the overall rating is fake.

Food was great, had kebab with grilled vegetables, again at any time. As a good eater, there was so much in the kebab that I left 1/3 of the dumpling around because I was full. The ambience outside is very simple to cramped as you sit on the sidewalk on chairs and tables you made yourself. Quite nice inside. But it's delicious, I'll go to MEM-ET again anytime I'm in the area

I have eaten at that restaurant, and everything I said was true. They denied me from using my credit card, but when someone else asked to pay with a card after me, they allowed it. When I asked the owner why they let him use a card and not me, he didn’t give an answer and just said no to me. I’m not sure if their decision was driven by homophobia or racism, but it was definitely motivated by something deep.

The food is very tasty and cleanly prepared. The staff was very friendly and quick, we didn't even have to wait 10 minutes for everything to arrive. The price-performance ratio is perfect. I think I paid 9.50 for a huge plate of kebab with meat, salad and fries. Simply recommended.

You come every week and order 3 kebabs per evening and suddenly you're treated like that by the old man with long hair... likes to continue to rip off tourists, but real Cologne residents know where to eat better kebabs (at least you get more than that still dim from 2 a.m.) -> Kebabland best kebab in Cologne :)

Today we went to Memet for the first time together with my husband and my dogs. Dogs were very willingly accepted. Both the flavor of the bread and the meat are very different from the others. There are two types of meat, chicken and veal. We took both and you can clearly feel that the veal tastes like veal and the chicken tastes like chicken! Which from the other parts I couldn't distinguish the difference. Congratulations for the place, for the service, for the food, and for the originality! Really delicious, I will definitely go again every time I feel like eating a nice Döner

To be honest, very nice people but a disastrous meal. The kebab tastes like it has been eaten. It's a shame to ask for money at all. Endless cartilage and a gagging smell and taste. Catastrophe. Never again

Top, fresh, rich and super tasty!!! My visit to Mem Et on Aachener Straße was a real treat for the palate. I opted for a complete kebab plate and was not disappointed. The kebab plate was extremely generous and very well executed. The meat was crispy and perfectly seasoned, giving the dish a wonderful flavor. The sauces were excellent - they complemented the meat perfectly and gave the whole thing an additional flavor. I was particularly impressed by the fresh, crisp salad that completed the plate. The freshness and quality of the ingredients impressed me and made the kebab plate a completely successful experience. All in all, I highly recommend Mem Et. If you are looking for a well-prepared and rich kebab plate, you will definitely find it here.

Very good kebab for a fair price

I recently tried the mixed plate at this restaurant, featuring chicken, salad, fries, and pan-fried veggies. While it was satisfying overall, it didn't quite hit the mark. The chicken lacked complexity in flavor and was rather bland. The sauces seemed to be missing something. It's a decent option if you're in the area and hungry, but it wouldn't be my first choice for döner or a döner plate.

The employee wasn't nice, after we asked in a friendly manner he replied in a sexist and unfriendly manner. The store is constantly under stress and you are yelled at as soon as you enter the store. Not exactly service oriented. The food was quite good but I wouldn't want to be served by him again!

What used to be one of the best kebabs in Cologne is now profit-oriented mass processing. The quality suffers here. Meat is not seasoned well, bread is falling apart everywhere. Unfortunately not as good as it used to be.
