Wow!! We had a wonderful evening at Fortyone. The menu was designed to be varied and the kitchen implemented it perfectly under the direction of chef Thomas. All in all, the food was outstandingly delicious. The atmosphere was so excellent, not least because of the attentive service. We were deeply impressed by the extremely professional wine advice from the in-house sommelier Sascha. The ambience is extremely classy and cozy. The open kitchen allows guests to watch the kitchen team artistically prepare the courses.

fortyone fine food supperclub – this name stands for one of the most exciting culinary experiences in the city. What the highly talented chef duo Sascha and Thomas Mosbach conjure up is hard to beat in terms of creativity, and at the same time, it simply tastes great! I've often experienced haute cuisine trying to be innovative at all costs, but artfully "cooking past" the guest's palate: The main thing is "bed foam napping...", we all know that. At fortyone, I've seen - and tasted - even "simple" products like a celery root "glow" in a way that is almost impossible to describe. It's a mixture of total love and connection to nature and its fruits, coupled with a cheerful, cheeky sense of adventure that seems to drive these two newcomers. What they evoke in their guests: DELIGHT, fireworks, enjoyment, and more enjoyment! I'm already looking forward to their next and every subsequent menu!

After experiencing fantastic food and excellent service here last year, I was very disappointed today. Perhaps there's been a change in kitchen staff? It was nothing like last year. The tarte flambée was only mediocre. The service was very friendly, but even though the restaurant wasn't even half full, they seemed overwhelmed. It took ages to be asked for drinks, and then more than half an hour to get two beers and a water. The food took even longer and wasn't worth the price. At this price point, one should expect a bit more...

Uferstraße 16Im Rahmen unserer Steak Testing Tour durch Köln ging es diesmal hier hin. Nach ca zwölf Stationen bisher die Krönung. Allein der Ausblick auf den Rhein ist ein Aufschlag wert. Gab es aber nicht. Für 65 Euro ein Entrecote 300 g mit Trüffelbutter und Trüffeln mit Rosmarinkartoffel in so einer top Qualität ist schon fast ein Schnäppchen. Da haben wir teilweise mehr bezahlt und die Qualität war nicht so gut. Offenes Glas Rotwein für 8,90 absolut fair. Den Mojito kann ich auch sehr empfehlen. Natürlich kann man es hier auch krachen lassen, bis die Kreditkarte streikt. Muss man aber nicht. Das Ambiente ist dazu auch noch sehr schick aber nicht drüber. Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gemäß ESC: OX Royale - 12 Punkte!

Merkenicher Hauptstraße 136Dreckige Teller, unappetitliche ,,Curry Wurst“ (schmeckt nach Zigaretten, aber nicht nach Curry). Ich schmeiße wirklich ungern Essen weg, aber das konnte ich nicht aufessen.
