My favorite restaurant in Hanover!!! The wines, the dishes, the dessert: everything is simply delicious! Great ambience and perfect service! I give 5 stars!!!

The table that has been reserved for weeks on the day of the trade fair is canceled 45 minutes before the appointment because of a larger group - simply underground!!!!!

I had a very good dinner here with excellent wine and they were very kind, and friendly and the athmosphere of the restaurant is amazing.

I was amazed at how incredible the food is but also at the people who served me. With these words I would like to thank you as it will not be possible with photos because the food was so delicious that I forgot to take photos. Thank you ☺️

At first glance it's a pretty inconspicuous restaurant, but at second glance it turns out to be an absolute tip with excellent cuisine and very friendly hosts. A fairly small menu (which I think is good) shows that quality and fresh ingredients are important here. The prices are more in the upper segment but all in all justified. We'll be back :)

If you are looking for a restaurant with excellent food and great service, you cannot miss a visit to Roy and his team. 5 stars are not enough here. Absolutely recommended.

In addition to very attentive and friendly service, you also receive excellent, high-quality food from a balanced variety of dishes. There were three of us and we had different starters and different main courses and were very satisfied. This was our first time there and we will definitely come back more often.

It’s rare to eat lamb chops that don’t have the smell of sheep at all. They are tender and juicy. The cuttlefish pasta is also delicious...it has a unique aroma. The cocktails similar to Shawar are super delicious👍

One of my favorite restaurants! The food was delicious and the service was very friendly, relaxed and competent. I've already been there 3 times and had a great evening with my fiancé, a friend and also with the family. Today I had the delicious truffle pasta & a panna cotta, everything was excellent & the recommended red wine went perfectly with the food. At the end there was a delicious pear schnapps on the house. I will gladly come again!

I've traveled a lot through Germany and Europe (especially Italy) and going to restaurants could almost be considered a hobby of mine, but I still fell in love with Roy's last night. We got a table for two people quite spontaneously on Saturday evening, but this was probably due to today's Germany game, so I would definitely recommend a reservation, which can be easily made via the website. The welcome was very warm but professional and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful with the choice of food and drinks. The atmosphere was very relaxed, but not casual. The music was also very pleasant. I'm sure everyone would feel comfortable here and definitely not out of place. Although it was only my first time there, I know from my companions that you can't go wrong eating here. The dishes will send you to paradise in terms of taste and they also look very appealing! Everything was incredibly fresh and you could tell that the creations were made with love for food and gastronomy. In addition, the owner told us that he likes to be inspired and experiment in order to not only offer a reliable selection for “Peaky Eaters”, but also to broaden the guests’ horizons in terms of taste. There were also small gifts (small pieces of cake with the coffee and a delicious pear schnapps with honey from Lake Constance) on the house. Price-performance ratio is really good here and you don't just get delicious food. It really makes for a lovely evening here! What is also particularly important to me is cleanliness. I have nothing to complain about here either. No matter how discerning you are, this restaurant will not only meet your standards, but exceed them and set the bar so high that you will have no choice but to become regulars. Regardless of your occasion, your company or your mood, I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Unfortunately I don't live in Hanover, but in Hamburg. But since yesterday I have an additional good reason to visit this city much more often! (And this despite the fact that Hamburg has no shortage of restaurants 😉)

True hospitality in a beautiful ambience with delicious food and drink. We felt very comfortable from the start. The friendly service from the owner and his wife is authentic and doesn't seem fake. The food is beautifully presented and well prepared and seasoned. The quality of the goods is very good and the price is reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

I booked an appointment online for this restaurant. The reservation confirmation came immediately. I chose the restaurant based on the good reviews. We weren't disappointed. The boss welcomed us personally and very friendly. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. The service was great, very attentive. It was a successful evening all around. Thank you very much for that. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Hanover.

This is a great restaurant. 25 people of us came here to enjoy dinner. The food was served very quickly. The red and white wines selected by the boss lady were also very good. From soups, main dishes, salads to desserts, they were all delicious! This is the best restaurant in Germany this time! The service is also excellent!

A very cozy and welcoming place. The food was super delicious and the service was excellent. It's an absolute gem!

We had dinner here with very dear friends on Saturday, April 6th, 2024. Our first time. The welcome was very warm and at the same time funny. The charming landlady and her husband Roy, both excellent hosts, welcomed us with joy. Since the temperatures were summery, we were able to sit on the wonderful terrace. The food was really great, be it the delicious veal liver, the saltimbocca, the excellent shrimp with linguine or the tuna tartare...everything was wonderful! The well-chilled rosé tasted very good with it. For dessert I chose the delicious pannacotta with fresh strawberry sauce and the men chose the espresso martini...I'll have it on our next visit. A successful evening, we laughed a lot and the host and his well-rehearsed team were very attentive, we felt very comfortable here. We'll be back...for sure!

I have been living in Hanover for several years and have been to quite a few restaurants. In retrospect, the reason why I only went to “Roy's Restaurant” for the first time for the first time can almost be described as a disgrace. 😁 The ambience, service and design as well as the taste of the dishes are really top class! Everything is homemade and lovingly prepared, the owner himself entertains the guests and has one or two charming sayings in store to provide some entertainment - if desired. If you are reading this review because you are looking for a restaurant for whatever occasion, you are definitely in the right place 🤗 Absolute recommendation 👍🏻

We have enjoyed going to Roy's regularly since it opened in March 2017. The food is always excellent and we really like the atmosphere and friendliness.

We went there for the first time today thanks to a recommendation from friends and we were thrilled. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the food is amazing. The dishes were simply perfect and we had absolutely nothing to complain about. The menu is clear, but the food here is cooked with love. The lamb shank is particularly recommended. Really a poem. You really get everything you want here and that's why we'll definitely come back! It's just great being with you and thank you for the great evening. 😊 See you soon!

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. With the meal there was bread with a tasty dip. The veal liver for the starter was well seasoned and the main course had a great sauce.

Ein schöner Abend mit wundervollem Service und sehr gutem Essen, Danke.

Das Roy's bietet italienische Küche in der Oststadt. Die Portionen und die Präsentation waren gut gewählt, das Auge isst mit. Das Vitello Tonnato war sehr gut, aber mit etwas wenig Kaperngeschmack. Die Ravioli mit Spinat-Ricotta-Füllung waren Convenience und nichts Besonderes. Das Rumpsteak war gut zubereitet, aber etwas zäh. Die Vorspeisen waren in Ordnung, es gab Bruschetta und Antipasti, das gereichte Brot war wirklich gut. Die Panna Cotta war nicht zu süß, die Erdbeer-Sauce schön fruchtig. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam, der Inhaber freundlich und kommunikativ, das Ambiente passte. Parkmöglichkeiten je nach Tageszeit, mit Bus und Bahn noch einige Gehminuten entfernt.

Grossartiger Gastgeber mit einer tollen Karte und guten Weinen.

Very good food and friendly service. The vitello tonnato was delicious . Atmosphere was ok but not great. It is a small restaurant and sometimes it gets too loud.

Wieder einmal ein sehr schöner Abend mit Familie im Roys. Das Lammfilet war eine 12 von 10 😉 also absolut Perfekt 👍. Meine Frau hatte den Lachs und war auch sehr begeistert. Die Pasta meiner Mädels ist auch sehr gut angekommen. 😉 Rundherum war alles Perfekt was durch die Nette , Lockere und Spaßige Art des Chefs noch wunderbar abgerundet wurde. Wow, was für ein tolles Restaurant!!! Ich Reise viel zu na hab schon viel und unterschiedlich gegessen. Das Roy‘s hat mich sehr positiv überrascht, ehrlich toll. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen spontan einen Tisch. Was soll ich sagen, das Essen war absolut spitze. Die Vorspeisen super lecker (empfehle Vitello Tonato), unsere Hauptspeisen alles frisch, lecker und hübsch angerichtet. Meine Mutter fand das Tiramiso das beste was sie je probiert hat. Gute Weine zur Auswahl und der Service wirklich extrem freundlich. Außerdem auch wirklich gute Atmosphäre. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend!!!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Roy‘s. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und auch die Qualität des Essens war super. Ich hatte ein Gericht von der Tageskarte (Steinpilz Ravioli Quattro Formaggi), aber auf das Lamm ist sehr zu empfehlen. Zur Vorspeise hatten wir noch bruschetta und hinterher tiramisu.

Netter Service, freundlicher Chef, aber das Essen ist leider nur okay. Kalbsbäckchen waren lecker, aber wenn Risotto geformt daherkommt, ist das Thema verfehlt. Antipasti und Bruscetta waren okay. Sehr übersichtliche Portionen. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Schade, wir hatten uns mehr erhofft.

Die Inhaber sind überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich habe selten eine so schöne Atmosphäre erlebt. Man fühlt sich dort sehr gut aufgehoben :) Das Essen ist ebenfalls von spitzenmäßiger Qualität. Schick essen gehen in Hannover, Roys ist ganz oben mit dabei!

La comida está muy rica, en sí, es un lugar acogedor. Sólo que sí tuviesen un camarero más, no se descompensaria tanto la atención/servicio cuando se llena el restaurante. Y una pequeña luz a la entrada de los baños 🚻, también sería recomendable.

Vriendelijk en warm ontvangst. Wij hebben Heerlijk gegeten bij Roy's. Het eten wordt snel en mooi opgediend. Voor ieder wat wils. Prijs kwaliteit is prima en van de service word je blij. Zeker een aanrader als je een keer lekker en relaxt wilt dineren.
