Super nice owners. I ordered the Mapo Tofu as a menu. Upon request, they made the food extra spicy and were very accommodating. The food was very tasty and the portion was well balanced. The atmosphere was very cozy and you felt very welcome. Conclusion: Very tasty and will come back soon. 👍

Best Chinese food there is. Very authentic, tasty and perfectly prepared. A must for everyone who is in Hanover. The family is super nice and put in a lot of effort. Very child friendly. We made a reservation and said we had a small son. The owner has already put out a children's chair and brought the little one toys. We will definitely come by more often. Super freshly prepared, best ingredients, everything incredibly tasty and authentic. Everything was gone so quickly that we couldn't even take pictures. Friendly operating couple, service was friendly but hectic because it was busy and there were few staff. Only recommended!!!

If a location is an 11 out of 10 then this is it. Super delicious, traditional food at absolutely fair prices and such a warm treatment of the guests. When time permits, Mama Edith always asks how it tasted and comes out of the kitchen to the guests to have a little chat. Papa Patrick does the service and always tries incredibly hard to ensure that the guests have a pleasant stay. My partner and I come here regularly and have never been disappointed. All dishes are perfectly coordinated, sumptuous, authentic and simply delicious. Mamas Kitchen is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Hanover.

The taste is very average. The ribs seem to have been marinated for more than 2 days. I can't taste the taste of the ingredients at all. It's not as delicious as the ones I made myself. I have an Asian wife and she can confirm that this restaurant has the best Asian food that she and I have ever eaten in a restaurant in Germany. The owners are like family, they are extremely nice and accommodating and funny 😃 Not only is the food good, but also the entire atmosphere. It's no problem eating here with children either. Conclusion: I'll definitely be back!

As a Hong Konger, it's hard to find a restaurant that pleases my palate and reminds me of home. It is even more difficult to introduce the true essence of Hong Kong cuisine to my German partner, who is used to Asian fusion food. But that's exactly what I found at Mama's Kitchen - one of the few restaurants in Germany that serves authentic Hong Kong food. Even though we don't live in Hanover, the trip (at the beginning of March) was absolutely worth it for this culinary experience: the food from “Mama” Edith was simply unbeatable, and the tea from “Papa” Patrick was a wonderful addition. We were also lucky enough to admire his calligraphy and chat with the warm couple in Cantonese, English and German – which inspired my partner to learn more about my native language. Our visit lasted almost three hours, but the memories of the taste experiences and the hospitality stay with us even months later. We look forward to our next visit to Mama's Kitchen. 😋😋

I liked the food very much and the people are very nice! You dont have a lot of meal to choose, but it is very nice simple kitchen!

It was the first time I ate there with a friend. There were not many types of food, and the price of each dish was the same. Mama said that this way, you can stop paying attention to the price and focus on the food. The food tastes great and the overall atmosphere is very warm and comfortable. Mama is very warm and treats everyone like family. Great experience. Highly recommended! But remember to make a reservation before going (just book on Google), otherwise it’s easy to miss out.

Delicious Asian food offered by the hospitable owner couple in a rustic atmosphere - beef fascia and belly may sound like cartilage, tendons and fat, but here it is juicy and tender and served braised in a spicy and, if desired, hot sauce. Definitely try it.

For me, Mama's Kitchen in Hanover is a recent discovery, and since then I think the restaurant is worth a visit for its family atmosphere and delicious dishes. If you are particularly fond of Hong Kong (and incidentally Cantonese) cuisine, Mama’s Kitchen will please you. The restaurant focuses on Cantonese dishes and it is particularly delicious. My wife and I shared three dishes: 1. Eggplant and beef 2. Pork with 5 spices 3. Goulash And all three dishes were wonderful. I had a big weakness for the Eggplant and Beef dish! The prices are frankly very affordable (20€ for a menu) and the portions are copious. In short, it’s a restaurant that oozes authenticity!

Ich war in der Woche an einem frühen Abend in dem Lokal und es gab noch genug freie Tische. Ich hatte den knusprigen Schweinebauch mit süßen Senf und einer Vorspeise dazu. Der Schweinebauch war sehr saftig und die Schwarte extrem knusprig. Ich kann das Gericht definitiv empfehlen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr klein und ich habe mittlerweile sehr stark das Verlangen mich durch die komplette Karte zu essen. Das Ehepaar macht einfach einen super Job in der Küche und ist sehr sympathisch. Kartenzahlung wird akzeptiert! Klare Empfehlung.

What an amazing place. Warm and comfy place. Real authentic food, not that white washed stuff you normally get. The name is on point, it tastes like mom is cooking. Looks simple but super delicious. I went there once, now I just heard from my friend that somethings’ going on in the comments so I just browsed it, and getting a bit scared. My experience was, the dishes was fine, not surprising but also not bad, my German friend said it was not enough and the meat was a bit too chewy (I just asked), we went to another restaurant for a bit more food afterwards. I guess it just doesn’t go with my mainland Chinese stomach and possibly not my friend’s German stomach. But anyone who read this should go try, maybe it’s your taste. In case of the ‘attitude’, was also not surprising, not surprisingly bad but also not very good that we’d want to leave more tips, an average poker face.

Mama's Kitchen ist einfach zu 100% weiter zu empfehlen. Jeder Besuch macht Spaß! Die verschiedenen Gerichte sind super lecker und echt authentisch. Man schmeckt die gute Qualität und die vielen Gewürze, so wie die Liebe, die beim Kochen reingesteckt wird. Der Service ist auch klasse und man wird sehr herzlich begrüßt! Mama's Kitchen ist auf jeden Fall ein fester Bestandteil der Nordstadt.

I really loved this place. The food was amazing. The vibe was very chill. The owners were super nice and cheerful. With 30€, you can have a full course meal including drinks and dessert(ice cream). The rolls and Teigtaschen tasted homemade. I had the Mapo Tofu and I loved how it hit the right level of spiciness. The lady owner kept making rounds to check everything was alright and it shows they care about customers. My only recommendation though is: For anyone interested in going, you should make a reservation beforehand. I was lucky to get a table without reservation around 17.00 on a Friday night as all tables were reserved starting at 19.00. That way you'll avoid stress for yourself and for the service.

Das authentischste asiatische Essen was ich bisher probieren durfte. Kein Vergleich zu den "üblichen" Restaurants mit über 80 Gerichten (die auf keinen Fall frisch sein können). Wer die echte chinesische Küche (Hongkong) kennenlernen möchte, ist hier wunderbar aufgehoben. Ein herzliches Paar, die in einem kleinen gemütlichen Restaurant ein super leckeres Essen gezaubert haben. Eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert. Komme gerne wieder!

Feines und wirklich kleines Lokal mit (in meinen Augen) sehr authentischer Küche. Super neues Erlebnis mit super nirgends sonst bekommenen Geschmack. Das Gastgeber Ehepaar ist super nett und wir wurden herzlich in Empfang genommen. Reservierung wegen weniger Plätze empfehlenswert.

War nach den guten Bewertungen eher enttäuscht. Das Essen war lecker, aber nichts besonderes. Hatte das knusprige Schweinefleisch, das leider sehr sicher in der Soße aufgewärmt war und somit nicht mehr knusprig. Das kriege ich anderswo frischer und für nur gut den halben Preis. Die Portion fiel auch eher klein aus. Hätte gern stattdessen Schweinebauch, Rippchen oder Char Siu bestellt, aber die werten anscheinend ohne Gemüse serviert und einzige Möglichkeit es dazuzubestellen wäre eine Gemüsepfanne für weitere 16€, vielleicht könnte man da ein paar Optionen in die Karte einbauen.
