Das Essen zum Mitnehmen war fettig, geschmacklos und schmeckte nicht wie das indische Essen, das ich gewohnt bin.

Heute hier bestellt, 1h also eigentlich ganz gut, essen war eher standard, lecker aber auch nichts besonderes.

Meine Kollegen und ich waren auch da, aber da der Laden zu klein ist, konnten wir nicht alle an einem Tisch sitzen und mussten uns deshalb aufteilen. Ansonsten ist das Essen absolut top (10/10); man schmeckt die indischen Gewürze und die Kokosnuss, die den Geschmack perfekt abrundet.

Ich habe über Uber bestellt und bin komplett enttäuscht. Nach 80 Minuten kam dann das Essen, der Lieferant war sehr nett und sagte mir das ein bisschen ausgelaufen ist und entschuldigte sich mehrfach. Das über die Hälfte sich bereits auf das ganze Essen verteilt hat und in der Schale waren nur noch ein paar Hähnchenstücke. Das Essen war bis auf das Naan kalt. Geschmacklich war es ok, nachdem ich es dann in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt habe.

Sehr leckeres Essen in guter Atmosphäre. Gute Auswahl zu vernünftigen Preisen und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Das Essen war zwar in Ordnung, aber der Service ist schlichtweg enttäuschend. Der Kellner war völlig überfordert. Störend fand ich außerdem, dass sämtliche Lieferbestellungen direkt durch den Gastraum abgewickelt werden. Ständiges Hin- und Herlaufen, Gedränge und Unruhe – so sollte es in einem Restaurant nicht zugehen. Ich habe mich umgesehen und musste feststellen: Das ist einfach nur Chaos. Danke

Ich war zusammen mit meiner Frau hier essen und wir waren rundum begeistert. Besonders das Lamm Tikka war hervorragend! perfekt gewürzt, zart und geschmacklich einfach top. Man merkt, dass hier mit viel Sorgfalt gekocht wird. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der gesamte Besuch war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Essen war insgesamt richtig gut und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Klare Empfehlung!

Sehr leckeres Essen, besonders das Royal Mix Grill!

Wir haben den ersten Geburtstag unserer Tochter im Royal India gefeiert. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Aloo Gobi und Kadhai Paneer waren köstlich, das Butter Chicken war okay. Ein toller Ort für Familienfeiern.

Fantastisches Essen, schönes Ambiente!!

Wir hatten riesigen Spaß auf der Geburtstagsfeier des kleinen Babys, und der Inhaber selbst war sehr hilfsbereit und hat mitgemacht. Erstklassiger Service.

Das von außen eher unscheinbare, innen moderne Restaurant ist mit seinem sehr freundlichen Team und ausgezeichnetem Angebot an typisch indischen, frisch zubereiten Gerichten nur zu empfehlen. Ein besonderer Genuss zu würzigen Essen ist die Kokosnuss-Lassi, verfeinert mit Rosenwasser.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, das Naan sollten Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen. Wir hatten Ente in Mango-Curry und Tandoori-Lamm, beides ausgezeichnet, dazu Dal. Der Service war sehr langsam und unzuverlässig; anfangs wurden wir von einem sehr freundlichen jungen Mann bedient, später war ein Herr, der an einem anderen Tisch aß, überhaupt nicht hilfsbereit. Die Toiletten waren ziemlich schmutzig. Für Kartenzahlung wird eine Gebühr erhoben, worauf man aber nicht hingewiesen wird.

Ich habe kürzlich dieses indische Restaurant in Aachen besucht und war leider sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen schmeckte nicht authentisch, einige Gerichte waren fad und schlecht zubereitet, und die Qualität rechtfertigte den Preis nicht. Auch der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig, was den Besuch noch unangenehmer machte. Ich hatte mich auf ein gutes indisches Essen gefreut, aber dieser Besuch wurde leider völlig enttäuscht. Aufgrund meiner Erfahrung kann ich dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen und werde es nicht wieder besuchen.

Ich liebe besonders das Buffet, das für jeden etwas zu bieten hat, mit vielen vegetarischen/veganen Gerichte. Sehr lecker ist es auch!

Sieht sehr schick aus. Das Essen ist gut, aber manchmal was fade im Geschmack, z. B. wo ist frischer Koriander?

Essen bestellt bei Royal India Aachen. Die seltsame Masse sollte wohl das frische Gemüse sein. Den Geruch von Schimmel gab es gratis. Das Essen haben wir entsorgt !

Wir bestellten über ihre Website Essen zum Mitnehmen und baten um Naan statt Reis, da dies als Option angeboten wurde. Zu unserer Überraschung wurde uns Reis serviert. Völlige Unkenntnis!

Don't really understand all the high reviews. Food was quite mediocre, service similarly disinterested. Admittedly we only had vegetarian dishes, perhaps the meat ones are better. But the ones we had tasted quite poor and not at all like traditional Indian food. The pakoras were quite bland, the paneer was like a sponge and not at all crumbly and soft as it should be. The naan was rubbery.

Been here with mother twice, and a regular place to order food when working at office. As an Indian, I can vouch for their food taste and quality. It is the best among Indian restaurants in Aachen. Will be continuing to visit the restaurant in future as well. My personal favourite is rajma rice with mango lassi.

Can’t even give zero stars to start with. Called the guy to place the order, person on the phone has no idea how to speak to a customer. The guy is utterly rude and hence we did not place the order.

I had Chicken Tikka Massala, it was a little sweeter than I'm used to but it was very tasty. The mango lassi was also impeccable. The restaurant is cozy and pleasant.

I was greeted by a seemingly very nice man from the restaurant upon entering. The restaurant’s interior is nothing short of lovely. Ordered a mango lassi and a butter chicken and the mango lassi was superb. If my food is heavy on carbohydrates (I’m a diabetic), it usually doesn’t get finished if my husband isn’t there to help me out, but since it’s ramadan, I figured I would be able to take it home for suhoor anyway. When the butter chicken came, the curry tasted excellent but the chicken was far too overcooked. Too bad. But what was more disappointing, was the portion size: it was about 1/3 the size of what any guest at a restaurant should reasonably be allowed to expect. (See picture) The impression I was left with is so, so. I might come back, but I also might not (definitely not if the portion sizes are always this small and the chicken is always this overcooked). I had to go take a train, so there was no time left to argue.

The food was very good and authentic. We ordered from a place that is quite far away. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was still piping hot. I can't understand the negative reviews. Firstly, you have to be aware that things can always go wrong with delivery. Something might spill or take a little longer. But everything was perfect here. The price-performance ratio was excellent.

Dealing person shows attitude and doesn't have manners.

Cheating customers & tax authorities by not providing a proper invoice. When you ask for invoice & pay by card they charge you 2.14% extra service charge

We chose Royal Indian to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and unfortunately, the evening was very disappointing. The samosas were cold inside, almost as if they had been frozen. The chicken dishes were extremely overcooked, very tough, and frankly, inedible. We could barely eat them. Overall, the quality of the food fell far short of our expectations. The service was also very slow, which made the situation even worse. What was particularly unpleasant was that we both developed stomach aches after the meal. It's a shame when a special occasion turns out this way. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and the service.

I cannot understand these positive reviews. It was the worst Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at. The appetizer was frozen solid inside. The main courses with meat (two different dishes) were inedible. The meat was tough, chewy, and extremely dry. When we inquired, we were told that this was due to their special preparation method and that they would prepare the meat differently for us. Unfortunately, the meat in the new dish was just as tough and inedible. Furthermore, even though the restaurant was almost empty, we had to wait a very long time for our orders. Overall, a huge disappointment.

I really liked it! Chicken Jalfrezi and Garlic Naan were simply incredible - very tasty and aromatic. The staff is very friendly and the prices are quite reasonable. We will definitely come back again!

Good and tasty indian food. It arrived nice and warm. I had Vindaloo and my friend had Korma. I ordered it EXTRA spicy and i'm happy to say for the people who like spicy food that they understand what that means. Would recommend. Only minor was that the Garlic Naan could have a little bit more Garlic. Other than that it was outstanding.

The best Indian restaurant in town with the hottest chilies

I ordered delivery and it was a total find. Super tasty food and good portions. I loved the Chicken Butter and the tomato soup. I also want to mention how friendly the delivery driver was. I'll definitely be eating there again!

Unfortunately, there's no photo of the food because we ate everything 🤭 It was all so delicious. The service was excellent. All the dishes—there were seven of us—were perfectly prepared. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! 🤗

We made a quick stop at Royal India in Aachen and ate there. The chicken biryani was very well seasoned, but a bit too spicy for our taste. Unfortunately, the accompanying yogurt was also spicy, so it didn't help to balance the heat. It was the first time we've ever had biryani served that spicy. A note on the menu would have been helpful; then we could have asked for it to be less spicy when ordering, which we will definitely do on our next visit. Nevertheless, we would gladly eat there again. The service was very friendly and attentive, and our order arrived very quickly. The mango lassi was very good; an alternative with plant-based milk, such as coconut milk, would have been perfect. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained.

Worst i have ever get. We friends order food from them, they send the worst. The food was cold and its not tasty at all.

Scam deals.. I ordered from uber eats.. they had offer buy one get one chicken fried rice.. price normally 15 euro. So after it was delivered I opened one pack and saw there is only 2 piece small chicken. Then I called them and they said it’s just like this because this is offer menu and he said all these in English. After that suddenly he said he can’t talk with me unless I speak in deutsch. They he cut the call. As a prove I opened the second box and made a video to show what they are providing for this price. See how they are scamming people.

The biriyani was okay for the price, but it was more like fried rice than original biriyani. There were no side dishes of papadam and chutney, which should come along with any biriyani in general. The staff were so kind and they kept the restaurant clean and tidy.

I have tried chicken fried rice .its just like only rice with soya sauce with some chicken pieces Tasteless not at all worthy.

Ordered food 5 hours ago. Still hasn't arrived. They're not answering the phone either: they've obviously received the advance payment. I'm filing a complaint now; it's not about the 30 euros, it's about the principle.

I do not recommend this place. The food quality is not good in my opinion.

I don't even know where to start. We ordered on a Sunday evening, and received the cold food after one and half hour. The vegetables of the Lamb Sabzi were uncooked. When looking closely, we recognized the frozen supermarket mix with broccoli, yellow and orange carrots. I cannot describe how unpleasant it was. The rice was overcooked and literally no salt. But this is not all, the delivery person was very rude, and even though I paid when I ordered, he told me his receipt didn't say whether I paid and he was not believing me. This is not about getting authentic or not authentic Indian food, this is about overpriced tasteless cuisine, that is not accepted within any standards. I remember them to do better food, not sure what happened to them since 2020.

We ordered at 8:15 p.m. on the website itself; the stated delivery time was 60 minutes. After about 90 minutes, we called and asked how the order was. An employee said he was sorry and that it would take about 10-12 minutes, so everything was fine. After another 38!!!! minutes, we called again and asked where the food was. The employee became extremely rude and asked why we were causing so much trouble. I said that we wanted compensation and then it became disrespectful, no joke. He said he didn't need customers like that and would call the driver now and get him back to cancel the order. I said that I wanted the food but that I would have just liked appropriate compensation and more understanding. He then hung up and after another 10 minutes the food arrived. The food was good as always, but unfortunately I won't eat there again because how can you treat customers like that 🤡 In the end, we waited over 2 hours for the food and received zero insight, zero understanding, and zero compensation. Just doesn't work

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I ordered Kadhai Paneer, and they delivered Kadhai Mutton instead. As a lifelong vegetarian, this was not just disappointing but deeply upsetting. What made it worse was their complete lack of accountability — no apology, no concern, just a casual “human error.” For anyone who understands how important dietary choices are, this level of carelessness is shocking. I later checked other reviews and noticed similar complaints, which clearly shows this isn’t a one-time mistake. This kind of negligence is simply not acceptable in the food business. I will never be ordering from this restaurant again, and I strongly advise others — especially vegetarians — to be extremely cautious.

The food arrived extremely quickly. The rice was excellent. The meal looked delicious. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted more like a lot of tomato paste for both of us. My chicken dish had three large pieces of chicken in it, which I found a bit too little. Besides, if I had eaten the dish blindfolded, I definitely wouldn't have been able to tell that it was Indian food. I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

Delivery today via Lieferando. The food arrived at my house two hours later (one hour after the scheduled delivery date) ice-cold. Even after warming it up, it was practically inedible.

Ordered something spicy, got something sweet, delivery took over an hour, you can get better taste yourself.

Two of us went to the Royal India in Aachen and were seated right away. One dish was initially served incorrectly, but it was immediately noticed and replaced. Small mistakes like these happen, and the friendly service made it seem more likeable than annoying. The food arrived quickly, was truly delicious, and the price was absolutely fair. The coconut lassi, in particular, was something different and a nice change. All in all, a very pleasant visit – we'd be happy to return.

Tried placing an order through a delivery app, where I received a confirmation about the order. I then called the restaurant after waiting for more than hour, where without verifying the details of the order, they simply informed, they never got the order and hung up the call. After contacting them again, I gave an order number and he says, oh, it was stuck in the system. I didn't expect the level of unprofessionalism for their own customers. It was less of a frustrating and more of a disappointing experience. And then the order has been rejected.

Really shocked to see 4 plus rating for this place. Personally I found the food below average, service slow and environment unpleasant and unclean. Toilet was stinky and the whole environment was just depressing. Most importantly food was quite tasteless.

I loved sabzi biryani, lentil papad and kheera raita. Enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the service. To top it all a good indian masala for a tea lover was everything.

We order from there regularly. Always fast, always delicious, and always hot when it arrives. Plus, the delivery people are always very friendly. Highly recommended!

I have been here only once and logically I have not tried much from their menu yet but what I did try was delicious (lamb with grated coconut). It is not the cheapest place on Earth but with such good food, it doesn't have to be.
