Royal India in Aachen

I've ordered from there several times, the first few times it was good. What I received a few days ago was really sad. The chicken curry was like water and tasted like almost nothing. There was hardly any meat in it and very little rice. We also had to wait 2 hours for delivery, by which time the food was almost cold when it arrived.

Great ambience. Friendly boss and delicious food. I had lamb biryani and was completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.

The Biryani is the worst, it's fried rice not a biryani and also I guess they use the same gravy for every curry we order and just play with spices and panneer or chicken in it. Worst biryani ever Please visit Swaad in Düsseldorf where you get to know what biryani is. The place is so overrated according to me.

I can only advise you against it. Garbage and rotten meat, better take a few steps down to the others.

The food in this restaurant is not good. We ordered 2 chicken dishes. There were 2 very measly portions. Little meat! And the taste was less than mediocre. Never again!

The ambience and service were ok, but I had a bad stomach ache after eating. In the coming days it turned out that it was food poisoning. The incident was reported to the health department.

Butter chicken with nan is too good

I always have delivery, always super fast, tasty, warm and always friendly! I order regularly and it's always good!

I just ordered butter chicken and chicken biryani there was food colour on every piece of meat. To be honest I have not eaten such bad butter chicken

Unfortunately just average food. The delivery took much longer and the food was cold, a very small portion, once and never again.

We reached late for lunch and hence the place was empty. We were surprised by the courteousness of the host and the quality of the food. The vegetable soup was amazing and one of the best I have had. The tomato soup was a bit spicy and had a hint of rasam. Saw a Bhaingan Bharta on a menu in Europe after a long time and had that with Masala Naan, which is a stuffed Kulcha. But the quality of both dishes was again good. The Fried rice is a cross between fried rice and Biryani.

We order there from time to time. The food is delicious and always arrives very warm. Sometimes after 15-20 minutes. The restaurant itself is not particularly fancy.

Rude staff. Delivery still not there after 1 hour 30 minutes

I ordered food through Uber Eats and waited over two hours without the order arriving. When I tried to call the restaurant to inquire, I was repeatedly ignored - I called more than five times and no one responded. When I finally wanted to cancel the order, that wasn't possible either. I had to contact Uber Eats customer service for help. Such poor customer service and organization is really unacceptable.

The food was tasteless, quantity was half the usual. Filled with oil. This is not authentic indian food. I had ordered dal makani and shahi paneer. Do not order these. Please

Maybe it's better locally - but unfortunately there was no delivery. The extremely long delivery time was announced and the driver informed himself that it would still take some time. The taste really wasn't great. Lukewarm chicken that was fried way too firm and therefore dead. The Nan wasn't good either due to the long time in the aluminum foil. Salad, sauces, samosas, well.

Beautiful Indian restaurant in Aachen. We tried Paneer Jalfrazi, Channa Masala and Paneer Kahrai. Food is amazing and staff here is very friendly. Please do come to Royal India for Indian delicacy.

The place advertises to be authentic Indian food, but last night's food was as further away from it as it can be. Both Palak panneer chicken tikka masala tasted just sweet? Absolutely zero flavour, just sweet tomato gravy taste. The waiter specifically asked for spicy or not, and we mentioned spicy and that was what we got. I dont wanna know what not spicy food would taste like. There seems to be so much food coloring in both panneer and chicken. And Palak panneer tasted like gongura (sorrel leaves) rather than palak (spinach). Definitely never going there again at least for north Indian food. Not sure about how biryani and all taste, but wouldnt wanna try. And to top it all off, the prices are too much. Agreed, the prices are competing with other places, but they at least serve good food for that price.

As of September 16, 2024 While looking for a good restaurant with Indian cuisine, I came across the Royal India at Karlsgraben 4 in Aachen online. At around 2 p.m. I ordered a table for two people at 7 p.m. by phone and at the same time asked if it was okay if we brought our two dogs with us. That wasn't a problem, we were told on the phone. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, a sullen-looking employee came up to us and explained to us in no uncertain terms that dogs were not welcome in the restaurant. Our reservation was ignored. When we objected that we had been told by phone when we made the reservation that we could bring our dogs, he excused himself by saying that we hadn't spoken to him. We do not support this kind of treatment of customers! We then had a very nice evening at the Maharaja on the Alexianergraben. Our well-behaved and calm dogs were welcome, the food was tasty and the service was extremely friendly. What more could you want? The Royal India will have to do without us as customers in every respect in this life! The Maharaja at Alexianergraben 47 in Aachen has gained two new customers. Thumbs up for the Maharaja 👍👍👍👍👍

This is what I received as soon as I opened it—completely untouched. Unfortunately, you pay more and get less now. The quantity and quality aren't what they used to be. All I can taste is cardamom and sugar; it's like drinking flavored tea. Don’t be fooled by the restaurant’s name!

I was insulted by the delivery person even though I approached him from two floors up. The food was ok, but not outstanding.

Very tasty! So tasty we dug in without taking a picture! We had duck korma and the prawn mango, the taste was amazing and complex and the serving sizes were satisfying. The naan was also good, and the mango lasso fit well to everything! The presentation was pretty and practical, with a candle to keep the dishes warm. The atmosphere was good with comfortable colours and furnishing and soft music playing. The only thing I'd improve is to restore the physical menus a little, there were quite banged up. It's run by nice people as well, resolving a misunderstanding we had with no problem.

The food is always fresh and, above all, very tasty. Even though I live just outside of Aachen, the food always arrives hot and quickly. All I can say about the entire team is great! Chicken Karahi Hot Chicken breast fillet with red onions, cashews, garlic, bell pepper, tomatoes and ginger, fried Indian style Unfortunately there are no cashews anywhere in there. Der Royal India Lieferfahrer hat mir - neben einigen erfrischenden Beleidigungen - u. a. angeboten, mein "Gesicht zu brechen" und "meine Mutter, meine Frau und jeden, den ich kenne, zu f!cken", wenn ich sein Verhalten bewerten würde. Nun, das hatte ich gar nicht bestellt, aber ich bin mal gespannt, was kommt. Bei kostenloser Lieferung ab 15 € jedenfalls ein überraschend umfangreicher Service. Ganz ungewöhnliches Geschäftsmodell. Chapeau!

The food here doesn’t taste good. There is lot of food color in many dishes and the taste is not authentic. We had ordered a chicken tikka, it was not cooked properly. The kadai paneer was passable and the daal makhni had red colour in it. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place for an Indian meal

We hebben vanuit Vijlen hier eten besteld. Veel sneller dan verwacht bezorgd door een zeer vriendelijke bezorger. Het eten was lekker warm bij afleveren en smaakte heerlijk

Essen schmeckt ganz gut, aber der Lieferant hat nicht geklingelt obwohl wir extra geschrieben haben wo er klingeln soll und der Name auch auf der Rechnung stand. Er hat das Essen dann wie ein Amazon Lieferant in den Flur gestellt. Wir haben aber auch bei Uber Eats bestellt.

Friendly staff, food was very tasty, ambience was comfortable and very INDIAN and hygienic restrooms. The food I ordered was exactly how I requested while placing an order. I would recommend anyone to mention your spice level expectations. Prices of dishes were very reasonable, most of the main course dishes cost around 11 euros, with a choice of naan or rice. Payment can be done via cash.

Ordered Chicken Dahiwala from here with rice. The delivery was fast. Within 20 mins, the food was delivered. It was hot and fresh. However, it tastes nothing like Chicken Dahiwala. It is just another chicken curry with chicken pieces in it. I don't think unlike the description, it is marinated for 12 hours in spices. The food tastes good but it is not what I expected. It is still decent if you're expecting some chicken curry and naan/rice along with it. The quantity is nice and the food can last for two meals easily.

Ordered butter naan, Fish Karahi and Gulab Jaamun. The food was flavourful and the naans were really soft. Gulab Jamun was soft and served warm, but can be improved. Overall very satisfied.

Das leckerste chicken tikka biryani was ich gegessen habe man schmeckt die traditionelle Zubereitung raus ein richtiger Gaumen Schmaus. Auch eine ganz entspannte Atmosphäre Nur zum weiterempfehlen:)

SUPER INDER (lecker und nett!) Hallo zusammen, wir haben jetzt zum fünften Mal bei Royal India bestellt und immer sehr leckeres Essen gehabt. Wir haben uns gerade noch gesagt, dass wir zwar immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen sind, aber nie wirklich mal eine Rezension geschrieben haben. Jetzt also: Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte, garlic/cheese/normales Naan und auch unterschiedliche Vorspeisen, die alle sehr lecker waren. Die Mitarbeiter (am Telefon und die Lieferanten) sind auch immer sehr höflich und nett, man hat einfach ein sehr gutes Gefühl bei allem. Vielen Dank von uns und wir bestellen gerne weiterhin Essen bei euch/Ihnen. Absolut empfehlenswert !!!

Bester Inder in Aachen. Lieferzeit muss man leider immer 1 Std rechnen, aber wenn man es weiß, dann passt es und dann sind sie auch immer pünktlich. Das essen kommt nach 20 min fahrt immer noch Heiß hier an. Nur zu empfehlen!

Wir gehen sehr gerne hier essen. Finden das Preis/Leistungs- Verhältnis einfach nur top, auch wenn das Ambiente nicht das Allerschönste ist. Trotzdem fühlen wir uns Aufgrund des netten Personals sehr willkommen und wohl.

Sehr schnell geliefert, netter Fahrer. Essen war auch top, besonders das Garlic Naan. Gutes Indisch, Chicken Tikka Massala war sehr lecker, auch viel Hähnchen darunter gewesen.

Also vorab, ich habe schon einige indische Restaurants getestet zusammen mit meiner Frau und das ist bis jetzt am besten. Wor bestellen öfter da, auch wenn der weg uns etwas weiter ist. Meine Frau isst immer Chicken Tikka Butter Masala und ich teste mich etwas durch die Gerichte aber bis jetzt war alles immer super lecker selbst die Desserts!

Mal vor Ort essen gewesen und hat mir gut gefallen. Heute was bestellt und muss leider sagen ,dass das ne absolute Enttäuschung war. Samosas komplett weich, nicht lecker gefüllt. Irgendein tandoori bestellt. Hähnchen komplett trocken, keine sauce zu finden außer Fett. Gemüse? 3 Streifen paprika und 3 zermatschte Zwiebeln. Naan Brot? Haha war labbrig und kein Geschmack. Absolute Enttäuschung für indisches Essen
