Ein familiengeführtes Restaurant mit tollem Essen. Der Service war wirklich hervorragend. Wir kommen garantiert wieder und empfehlen es weiter!

Ruhige Lage! Auch nachmittags an Wochenenden rund um den Weihnachtsmarkt geöffnet. In einer ruhigen Straße gelegen, ideal für ein gemütliches und entspanntes Abendessen. ACHTUNG: *Die Mehrwertsteuer ist weder auf der Speisekarte noch in den Empfehlungen aufgeführt. Sie wird daher später hinzugefügt. (Beispiel: Unsere Rechnung für Chicken Masala beträgt 16 € und wird zu 18,90 €.) * Nur Barzahlung Zum Glück war die Bedienung so freundlich, dass man dem Restaurant nichts vorwerfen konnte. Das hausgemachte Naan-Brot, das auf der Speisekarte stand, gab es nicht. Stattdessen bekamen wir einen dünnen Wrap, der natürlich überhaupt nicht sättigend war. Eine kleine Schüssel Reis für zwei Personen. Da ich sagte, dass ein dünner Wrap nicht einer Portion Naan-Brot entspräche, bekamen wir schließlich: Die extra kleine Schüssel Reis, die wir bestellt hatten, ging aufs Haus. Vielen Dank dafür, denn wir waren noch sehr hungrig. Vorher meinte sie: „Oh, das ist seltsam, manchmal bleibt der Wrap sogar übrig.“ Natürlich, erstens, weil es niemand bestellt hatte, und zweitens, weil so ein trockener Wrap nicht gerade zu einem authentischen indischen Geschmackserlebnis passt. Das Essen war lecker und man konnte zwischen folgenden Schärfegraden wählen: neutral mild scharf Die neutrale Variante war schon recht gut gewürzt, aber für westliche Esser angenehm. Die Portionen waren so klein, dass sie gerade noch durch die Toilette passten. Im Damenbereich konnte man die Tür nur schließen, wenn man sich zwischen Toilettenschüssel und Wand quetschte. Denn die Tür musste ja noch durch! Gefährlich und meiner Meinung nach nicht brandschutztechnisch korrekt, da die Tür nicht nach außen aufgeht. Ich wiege 65 kg und bin 1,74 m groß, also keine besonders kräftige Frau. Das Essen war gut, aber es lohnt sich sicher nicht, nochmal hinzugehen.

Das Essen ist definitiv nicht authentisch sri-lankisch, und ich habe anderswo schon viel besser indisch gegessen. Es könnte aber sein, dass sie die Aromen an den europäischen Geschmack angepasst haben, denn ich habe viele positive Bewertungen gelesen. Als Sri-Lankerin würde ich es aber nicht empfehlen. Und ich würde es definitiv nicht als sri-lankisches Essen bezeichnen! Der Service war allerdings großartig und sehr freundlich.

Sehr leckeres Essen, wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte, auch welche von Tages-/Wochenmenü. War alles sehr lecker. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service. Die verschiedenen Schärfegrade waren auch für alle passend. Das Knoblach Naan war super lecker und hat sehr gut zum Palak Paneer gepasst!

Ich hatte das mild-scharfe Palak Paneer, das (wie erwartet) nicht sehr scharf war, aber trotzdem hervorragend schmeckte. This was my first time here... based on the reviews. And I have to say, it was definitely worth it, and everything was as described. Chicken teriyaki, samosas as a starter. Awesome!! The chicken might be a bit too spicy for those who are sensitive to spices, but honestly... If you go to an "Indian" restaurant and can't stand spicy food, you're doing something wrong anyway 🤭 The service was very competent, gave excellent advice, and was extremely friendly. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect. I highly recommend coming here...

A real insider tip in Aachen. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside. They serve Indian and Sri Lankan cuisine. Very nice and the food is super delicious! We'll be back! Great value for money!

Our family is happy that we finally discovered and appreciated the Mostard Restaurant. It's a place where we've spent a very pleasant evening several times now, enjoying delicious food in a very pleasant atmosphere. We were always served very friendly and courteously. Individual requests were easily fulfilled by the Thevaraj family team. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Mostard Restaurant in every respect.

An elegant and well-kept restaurant. Understated and delicious homemade cuisine. A generous basket of spiced papadums with three homemade dips! A filling salad plate with carrots, onions, and tomatoes in a delicious coriander sauce. A subtle spinach and lentil daal with wonderful garlic naan. Served by a charming young woman. All for around €26. The bar across the street is a bit distracting, with annoying music and medieval-looking people trying to grow up, but you probably won't hear it inside. Highly recommended!

We had dinner at the Mostard restaurant for the first time today on the occasion of my birthday and we were absolutely thrilled. The email contact in advance was very friendly and the warm welcome and extremely friendly service continued this evening. You can tell from the start that this restaurant is run with a lot of love and that's why we immediately felt welcome. All the dishes we ordered tasted excellent, I had the lamb tikka masala... simply delicious! And all of this in a great way Price-performance ratio. Restaurant Mostard will definitely be one of our future favorite restaurants. .

Unfortunately the restaurant has a "european" menu, which means that it doesn't resemble authentic Indian dishes at all! The food doesn't have any taste and there are little spices added (see the foto of chicken Biryani). But the stuff is really nice and friendly

Best restaurant in Aachen! Incredibly delicious and the best Indian food I've eaten so far. Freshly prepared and, if you like, really spicy, but the mild versions are also super tasty. The eggplant curry is particularly recommended, overall a good vegetarian and vegan selection! The service is always very kind and patient and it is always a pleasure for us to be here.

We were in Mostar for the first time on Whit Monday and were more than thrilled. The quality of all types of meat (lamb fillet, beef fillet and chicken fillet) were above average. A knife was hardly necessary to divide the meat. Thanks to the hot cast iron serving plates, the meat remained at a good temperature until the end. We had rice and naan as a side dish and the coriander soup and mixed salad as starters. Both very tasty, the soup pleasantly spicy and the salad with a delicious sauce. All in all, a discovery that we would be happy to visit again. What should also be emphasized is the really very courteous service; every question was answered and explained in detail.

As a Indian and south Indian, I do not recommend. It's definitely not authentic and tastes bad. I had burnt cashews in my food. But, the service was very good and the ambience was great for a meetup. The sweet lassi was passable.

There is nothing like Sri Lankan food. This is an Indian restaurant. Only Ceylon tea is Sri Lankan. Biriani, Tandoori , Naan…. All are Indian food I’m really disappointed No koththu, wade ect…

Sehr leckeres Essen und super-freundlicher Service! Das Essen schmeckte hervorragend, und war sehr schön zart gebraten. Es wurde in einer heißen Pfanne serviert und blieb dadurch lange wunderbar HEISS. Unsere Bedienung war sehr persönlich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant ist klein und gemütlich. Die Innen-Einrichtung ist schön. An dem Samstag Abend war nicht all zu viel Betrieb in dem Restaurant, so dass wir (2 Leute, ohne Reservierung) problemlos einen sehr schönen Platz bekamen. Wir hatten einen einen wunderbaren Abend. (Hinweis: Das Restaurant richtet sich vorrangig an deutsche Gäste. Das Essen ist daher etwas an den europäischen Geschmack angepasst. Für uns war es perfekt.)

Familienbetrieb mit unglaublich nettem Service fußläufig zur Innenstadt und zum Kurparkgelände (wo wir an dem Abend Tickets für eine Veranstaltung hatten und daher schon verhältnismäßig früh was essen wollten). Sehr leckere, leichte Küche. Der Schärfegrad kann selbst gewählt werden. Lammfilet war butterzart! Biryani war super lecker! Größe der Hauptgerichte ist mehr als reichlich!
