Raja - Indian Food in Aachen

Mir hat der Ort sehr gut gefallen, aber er scheint geschlossen zu sein – es gibt jetzt etwas Asiatisches.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, ich habe mich gut mit ihnen amüsiert. Ein junger Mann sprach Französisch, was wirklich toll war. Das Essen war sehr gut, ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker, aber man kriegt kaum Hühnerfleisch auf seinen Teller und die Preise sind viel zu teuer

Ein super sympathischer und freundlicher Geschäftsführer mit tollem Koch und klasse Personal. Ich habe mittlerweile unterschiedliche Gerichte probiert und schätze das selbst gemachte Essen sehr. Man sieht und schmeckt einfach, dass sich hier viel Mühe gegeben wird! Auf bald ✌🏻

Wir haben Hühnercurry, Chili und Mango probiert. Nichts davon hat geschmeckt. Ich weiß nicht, was ich sagen soll. Wir waren zu dritt, und keinem von uns hat es geschmeckt. Es war zwar essbar, aber nicht lecker.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert! 🤩 Das Personal war durchgehend sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und sympathisch. Besonders positiv: Man hat sich sehr gut mit Allergien ausgekannt, alles wurde ernst genommen und verständlich erklärt - das gibt ein richtig gutes Gefühl👍🏻 Der Service war insgesamt top, schnell und herzlich. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut fair - da gibt es nichts zu meckern. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder 💯

Das Essen war gut und hat geschmeckt. Leider war der Service an der Kasse sehr unangenehm. Der Kassierer bestand darauf, dass ich bar bezahle, und wollte Kartenzahlung nur ungern akzeptieren. Obwohl Kartenzahlung grundsätzlich möglich ist, begann er darüber zu diskutieren, was sehr nervenaufreibend war. Das hat den sonst positiven Eindruck leider getrübt.

We first ordered Chicken Madrasi and actually wanted to get something else from somewhere else, but then we also ordered a Butter Chicken because the first one was so good.

Very kind people and warm. The food is very nice and the S portion is generously filled. So it’s definitely a recommended place to be for nice Indian food and nice people.

I would intentionally like to cut 1 star only because I would like to highlight 2 things. First is that the portion keeps changing and there should be a standard, many times I have received smaller portions. Second is that the small portion in a box is a biggest reason to lose customers. I have seen in last 2 years, many customers drop the plan to eat because of the box, it's not comfortable. Otherwise this is my favorite Indian restaurant in Aachen and I visit every month atleast once. My favorite is chicken madrasi.

Very, very delicious food, and very friendly staff. The portions were really large. We had two portions, packed the rest, and someone else at home finished eating too 😊 We'll definitely be back and can 100% recommend Raja.

I placed the order after a long day of shoping and I can surely recommend it. The food was tasty and perfectly warm. The staff were friendly and it is always a good choice among all those fast food franchises at Aquiz's food court, when you go for something healthier. I appreciate the service. And also... what I ordered was chicken Sparmenü for 15€. I went for a combination of two chicken sauces it was with rice and a garlic Naan and a drink...

The food was poorly seasoned. A piece of chicken was raw. And the small menu for eating here comes in a cardboard box. So all in one: bad. The chicken curry should be spicy. I didn't feel/taste a bit of spiciness.

The food is okay, it's not that great. The problem is with the serving, I asked for a portion of chicken breast with mango but unfortunately there was only sauce with rice without mango and chicken breast. Always new employees with no experience.

I have to say it was just amazing! It was one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten! I ordered mango chicken and beef curry, and it was great! You could choose from two types of stews, which added a variety to your plate that was delicious! The sauce had an excellent taste. The design of the plate made you even hungrier. The seller who placed the food on the plate did so very carefully so that the food was beautifully presented! Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended! 🤩

Authentic taste, fast service, reasonable variety for a small space within the mall's food court. Some good drink options too including the quintessential mango lassi but also buttermilk (funnily titled Indian Ayran possibly because Ayran is better known in the region).

I have tried several times but they don't give the same portion for all the time. They put curd on the plate and reduce the rice and curry. Sometimes it depends on the server serving the food. Some give a good amount and papad. Some don't. Food was good.

Today we were at Raja for the first time, my Indian girlfriend and I. There are two sizes for each dish: “S” & “L”. We weren't super hungry so we chose "S". I asked if we could have the food served on a plate and was told no, this is only possible for size “L”. So we got such an unsightly cardboard box, even though we ate there, not takeaway. In fact, it looked like this: Large layer of rice - small layer of meat and sauce - then another large layer of rice. That alone is too expensive for the price of €9.50 each. In addition, at least the chicken curry was very low in salt - since there are no salt shakers on the tables in the Aquis Plaza, you had to live with that. So overall a disappointing experience, not worth repeating.

Ordered Palak Paneer in S, the portion is really tiny and in my opinion totally overpriced at 9.00 euros. There was more rice in the cardboard box than anything else, and I had a piece of cheese with me. Unfortunately the taste is just average. I wish it could have been a little spicier. Basically, I think it's good if you can order food in different sizes, but the price-performance ratio should also be right.

I was there for the first time today. Always wanted to go because the food looks really delicious when you walk past. Of course it is and remains fast-food restaurant cuisine, but you know that from the start. I had Chicken Madrasi. This is classified as spicy and it certainly had a very spicy but tasty spiciness. The large portion for €11.90 is really huge and fills you up. The food is really delicious. And the price-performance ratio is good. I wanted to have a small portion to eat there. The friendly waitress explained to me that the small portions were only available in a cardboard box and only the large portions were on a plate. I begged her and asked if I could just get a small portion on a plate, but she flatly refused. I found that a bit strange. I finally decided on the large portion because I didn't want to eat out of a cardboard box...

When I visit an Indian restaurant, I mostly think of Indian spices, which give me a sensory taste experience. That wasn't the case. The food was unseasoned. The sauce tasted watery and the curry rice tasted the same. We left the Redtaurant with little enthusiasm and cannot recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately... There is still a lot of room for improvement.

The food is okay, it's not great, but it's good. The problem is with the serving, I asked for a portion of chicken breast with mango (not a package) and received it in a box (looks like pig food) with a plastic spoon, while the others got the portion nicely presented on the plate. The waitress had no idea what to do. I find it embarrassing to spend so much money on chicken breasts with rice and then receive them in a box.

I thought it tasted good. I was probably disappointed that I received my food in a box to go. A box to go was 9 euros full of rice and a little mango sauce, and I had 2 pieces of chicken in it. I won't eat there anymore.

Why is there not a single authentic Indian restaurant in Aachen? We tried all but with no success...Raja, even though the food looks okay, also just has little authenticity. The food is very stall. Even when especially asking for a more spicy, authentic seasoning of the chili chicken, we just got the pre-prepared and re-heated, stall, pulp they sell as authentic Indian food. Very disappointing! I am really confused about how they get such a good rating here on Google.

Its not Indian food. Its Just marketing strategy. None of the food tastes like Indian. Other Indian restaurants in the city are far better than this.

Hospitality over the top with friendly and kind staff🫶🏼 perfect for students with almost always ongoing deals on different dishes. Food is perfect and delicious. My favourite spot in Aachen.

Wenn man im Aquis die Restaurant-Etage betritt, kommt einem ein unglaublich guter Duft entgegen. Geht man diesem Duft nach, landet man bei dem kleinen Restaurant Raja. Die verschieden Speisen halten das, was der Duft verspricht. Es schmeckt einzigartig gut. Die Mitarbeiter sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Tipp: Es gibt die Gerichte in den Großen S und L. Nehmt L, dann könnt ihr zwei verschiedene Speisen probieren und was zu viel ist, kann problemlos mitgenommen werden. Vielen Dank, für dieses tolle Essen ❤️

Ich war heute da, eine Frau, dass Essen ohne Reis nicht bestellt konnte , wurde aggressiv und hat der höfliches Personal beleidigt. Ich finde es sehr traurig , dass manche Menschen kein „nein „hören können und sofort Unmenschlich verhalten. .Ein Lob für geduldige Personal

Das Essen ist super und kommt an "wie die Mama in Kalkutta immer gemacht" ran. Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Essen sehr lecker und die Portion mehr als ausreichend. Für das Ambiente kann der Laden ja nichts, die 2.Etage teilen sich ja einige Essensanbieter. Aber wenn ihr da seid, bitte nehmt Raja. Die beste Wahl.

Zum ersten Mal im Aquis Plaza gewesen, und Raja zum Essen ausgewählt. Wir hatten eine Zusammenstellung 4 verschiedener Gerichte plus Vorspeise. Es war köstlich! Und für zwei Personen zwei grosse Teller + Vorspeise + Getränk 30€ fand ich nicht teuer. Für das frische, würzige Essen komme ich garantiert wieder. :-)

I have been number of times. Very nice food. Delicious and colorful. Staff friendly and manager so passionate. They have plain (for someone like me not very Indian 😅) mild and spicy. So accommodating all tastes. Variety of drinks available too. Sitting area nice with comfortable chairs.

Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und nicht so scharf wie normalerweise bei indischen Essen übrig ist. Ich empfehle einmal hinzugehen und probieren.

As soon as I sat down I remember why I don't Like the place. the food is meh and service is bed, there is so many other place around,don't bother , I saw a photo of Indian god which they had laid down and a peoples were going walk on it. I would request to you please remove it. Because it disrespect of another religion god.
